- Guest (8/5): Historical, quiet green relaxing. Well-connected by bus. Room basic. Breakfast not worth it, except - Beautiful historical building. Peaceful green grounds with tables&benches. Relaxing. Clean room, linen/towels fresh, comfy bed, kettle (tea/coffee) in the room. Little window was old style Infrustructure: Supermarkets, bus stop for city center or airport right behind the corner (max 3-5min walk). City center about 10min away by bus, by walk 30min. I loved walking there to see local life. 1.Breakfast was quite dissapointing! Starts late. Very limited, especially for healthy options and not tasty (except for croissants&scones). Surprisingly even eggs were tasteless. would consider to change caterer. 2.Some corridors had that old building heavy smell. Room itself was clean, but not very well maintained in terms of cracks on the walls, paint... But could be part of the charm for some:) 3. Direction wasnt clear. Took me 3 failed attempts before i could find campus All Hallows. Near by Uni campus staff knows surprisingly little about hotel. An Actual sign near Cat&Cage pointing inwards that little street wld save me lots of time.

No atmosphere, incredibly basic, one person had to climb in the bed to be cramped in the corner. It was okay but the price was way too high.

- Guest (10/5): Really a nice place to stay - The room is quite cozy and clean. It's a bit tight, but that wasn't a big problem. The bed is very soft, as are the pillows. The breakfast is very comprehensive, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They let me leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out. I really appreciated that. The campus is a very beautiful place, with a lovely garden in front of the rooms; I found it very relaxing during my stay. I really recommend this place Nothing

- Nicolas (6/5): Très bien situé et cadre assez exceptionnel - Un campus parc en plein dans la ville, calme emplacement parfait je l’avais choisi pour sa proximité avec Croke Park. Insonorisation inexistante et chambres globalement d’un autre temps. Étant donné le prix payé (spécial WE concert Oasis), le compte n’y était pas dans les prestations.

- Susan (8/5): - Really great find. The property is surrounded by beautiful grounds so is really quiet. It’s only a short walk to the main road where there are regular buses into the city. The rooms have everything you need and are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective stay in Dublin .

- Francesca (9/5): Atmosfera magica - La struttura è molto affascinante e si trova in una location unica. Le camere sono basic ma abbastanza pulite e dotate di tutto quello che serve (tranne l'asciugacapelli che va richiesto alla reception). Per raggiungere il centro, ci vogliono circa 30 minuti a piedi. In struttura c'è un parcheggio gratuito, se non si trova posto ci sono anche parcheggi a pagamento. Ottima la colazione a buffet, continentale. Staff gentile e cortese. Le lenzuola non erano proprio pulitissime. La stanza è un po' piccola, ma il bagno è molto grande. Dal bagno usciva un odore poco gradevole.

- Katharina (8/5): Great accommodation - The Campus of DCU is utterly beautiful. Located just outside Dublin city center, you will find this accommodation in a quiet area not too far from the airport. The journey there takes 10 minutes from the airport by taxi and costs around €18-26. The journey to the city center takes about 10 minutes by bus (€2) or cab (€25-30), depending on traffic. Stores and restaurants are just a 10-minute walk away. The dormitories at Purcell House are simple, but offer everything you need, including a historic ambience. Breakfast is included and offers pastries such as croissants, muesli, fruit, bread with jam and, of course, English breakfast. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The value for money is unbeatable... at a time when the Gallagher brothers and Robbie are making it hard to find accommodation at all.

- Merle2017 (7/5): Ok für einen kurzen Aufenthalt - Das Gebäude ist doch etwas besonderes. Anders wie in vielen Bewertungen geschrieben findet man das Opjekt sowie den Pakpkatz sofort. Die Parkplätze in der roten Linie kann man kostenlos nutzen. Auch war das Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer im dritten Stock sehr warm und keine Klimaanlage. Lüftung von Bad ist kaputt, läuft ewig und sehr laut nach. Frühstück erst ab 8:00 Uhr, wenn man früher anreisen muss hat man (trotz Zahlung) Pech gehabt. Auch ist es sehr Hellhörig. Für eine Nacht ok, einen längeren Aufenthalt würde hier hier jedoch nicht haben wollen.

- bydzia (9/5): Interesting experience of being a student after so many years - Late check-in was possible, hassle-free and quick. This was my first time staying in a university complex. Close to Dublin city center and the airport. Delicious breakfasts. Free parking. A somewhat narrow bed for two people. The door should open towards the wall.

Decent breakfast in an amazing dining area. En-suite had a slightly unpleasant odor, but it looked clean enough and everything worked fine. Although there was supposed to be some gluten free bread available at breakfast it had already run out even though we were there shortly after opening time.

- Jacqueline (10/5): Fabulous stay in the most beautiful surroundings. - I loved pretty much everything about this accommodation! The location was great, 2 mins walk from multiple bus routes (we bought a LEAP visitors card at the airport and hopped on and off buses all weekend). The campus was absolutely beautiful. Such a peaceful setting and I loved all the green space. The room was basic, but absolutely met our needs. We had breakfast included and I didn't really expect much, but it was great! Cooked breakfast, cereal with various types of milk, a selection of bread, rolls and pastries, yoghurt and fruit was available each day. The coffee was lovely and the fruit juice cartons the perfect portion size. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, so sat outside every day for breakfast in a lovely little garden area outside the main breakfast room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I loved this place! My only negative was the lack of air-conditioning, although I guess it isn't needed most of the time. This is a very small gripe, as it didn't affect our stay, it would just have been a bonus.
- sergio (7/5): - recensione abbastanza complicata da fare, in quanto la struttura è situata in un college , non so se sempre attivo, con camere abbastanza piccole, senza televisione, con il letto matrimoniale da una piazza e mezza , il bagno comodo ma senza fono, penso che se lo chiedevamo, lo avessero, noi abbiamo fatto senza, la colazione è ottima e abbondante, ma viene servita in un altro edificio, ha un parcheggio molto comodo in un bel parco, infine si trova vicino a diverse fermate del bus, che ti permettono di raggiungere qualsiasi posto di Dublino, alla reception si alternano diversi giovani, tutti molto gentili e disponibili, anche se cambiano continuamente, noi in quattro giorni non abbiamo mai rivisto lo stesso.

- Wolfgang (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft und für Dublin recht preisgünstig 😉 - Schlichte Unterkunft in einem altehrwürdigen Haus. Die ruhige Lage in einer Parkanlage ist sehr angenehm. Zu Fuß in die Innenstadt ist machbar, aber man hat min. 20 Min. nötig. Bushaltestellen sind in etwa 300 Meter entfernt. Von dort fahren regelmäßig Busse in die Stadt. Dort an der Ecke ist einer ältesten Pubs Dublins (Cat & Cage) 😀Buskarte besorgen oder passendes Kleingeld mit sich führen. Es wird kein Wechselgeld herausgegeben. (2,60 € pro Fahrt Stand 06/25). Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und das Frühstück ist für irische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Würden wir wieder buchen. ——

- Glenn (8/5): Student dorm room at an old university in a fabulous park like setting. - Very picturesque old university buildings in park like setting. Quiet and peaceful. Really good breakfast. Rooms are as expected. Basically a student dorm. Not the greatest, but adequate for solo travel. Such a beautiful and historic building though. It really is punching below its weight. With more modern plumbing and fittings, this place could be world class.

Staff is nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice and if I visit Dublin again I could surely come back here It is a bit far away from the center of the city, but that was something we were aware of before we came here

Large choix pour le petit-déjeuner, personnel serviable et souriant. Un soir, le couloir sentait assez fort l'odeur de cannabis, nos voisines de chambres étaient bruyantes, nous entendions distinctement tout ce qu'elles disaient jusqu'à passé minuit.

Le petit déjeuné est complet et les chambres sont propres et confortables. Le grand parc est très appreciable. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable ! Le matelas pourrait être un petit peu plus confortable.

- Céline (8/5): Magnifique.emplacement - L'hôtel est situé au milieu d'un parc au calme. C'est très agréable. On peut manger dans le parc ou juste se détendre. Bon emplacement à 5 minutes des bus menant au centre ville. Le petit déjeuner copieux (avec des œufs mais aussi des viennoiseries...) inclus dans le prix de la chambre. Il faisait très chaud dans la chambre et il n'est pas possible d'ouvrir la fenêtre complètement. Il y a un système de blocage qui fait qu'on peut seulement l'entrouvrir. Parfois j'ai dû sortir dans le parc pour respirer et avoir un peu d'air.

Die Ausstattung ist teilweise spartanisch und es funktioniert auch nicht alles - spiegelt den sehr günstigen Preis wider. Man kann Pech haben und in einem durch Umgebungsgeräusche sehr lauten Zimmer landen.

Pokoje sice malé, ale naprosto dostačující, čisté. Výborná snídaně. Nastavit ve sprše teplou vodu bylo docela obtížné. Velice hlasité zavírání dveří pokojů.

- Hans (7/5): - Nice atmosphere and good breakfast Rooms are small, and the bed is very narrow. It is more of a one person bed unless you are newly wed. The room is not at all as in the pictures! I would call that a fraud showing one picture and offering a room and bed that is so much smaller .

- Andrei-Gabriel (10/5): One of the highlights of my stay in Dublin - Choosing to spend the night here is not just choosing an accomodation, but signing up for an experience in itself. The room is situated on a picturesque historic university campus, which sets you up for a unique experience. On top of that there's friendly staff and an uncomplicated check-in. Sure, the room might not be the most luxurious of all the places that I've stayed in, but it's clean and cozy and situated in a nice area, albeit not too central, suitable for a short trip. All this at a fair price for Dublin. The atmosphere however is unbeatable - I would definitely be back just for that.

- Grietje (8/5): Prima verblijf, goede locatie - Goede locatie tussen vliegveld en stadscentrum, in een rustige omgeving. Bus stopt dichtbij en rijdt vaak. Een paar restaurantjes en goede supermarkten in de buurt. Het bed was erg klein voor 2 personen. Alles is oud maar wel schoon.
