- Ken (4/5): - Check-in was unbelievably bad. There are two properties owned by same family across the street from each other. Made reservations at one, they put me in the other because there was a part-time person there to check me in. Couldn’t hear instructions on poor cellphone connection and waited at wrong place for 25 minutes expecting someone to show up. Finally got to a live person at opposite motel. The air conditioner did not work at assigned room, had to change to another room after unpacking at first room. There is a Best Western near both of these one-star motels, wish I’d spent the extra money for a brand name. Watch for bugs!
- Tom (2/5): Poor advertising - The old motel was not anything like the pictures in the online add, No table or chairs and the A/C was duck taped to the wall. No light fixture in the bathroom, just a light bulb. The refrigerator Would not stay plugged into the wall. The sheet in one of the beds had cigarette holes burns.
- James (6/5): - Room was clean but small. One person at a time to get around the room. She said the bathroom smelled terrible but I couldn't smell it.
- Jack (2/5): - What i liked was the bed. What i didn't like was everything else. First when i walked into my room it smelled like it should be sprayed down amd cleaned. Second there should never be a natural gas shutoff valve in the room. Third the door did not latch well there was no safety chain available the shower valve fell of the wall while i was taking a shower. There was no drain cover in the shower. The plumbing in the bathroom looked like it was done by a child. I will never stay at this hotel again.. it felt like they should be renting bu the Hour if you know what i mean.

- Matthew (8/5): - You get what you pay for. It's not a fancy place, so don't complain if that's what you expect from every hotel you visit. This place is fine, nothing special but perfectly acceptable to me and a at good price.
- Sandra (2/5): - The place was so terrible upon entering the room, we did not stay. I returned the key and left. This motel should not be open for business until extensive remodeling.
- Kathyrn (8/5): - The motel is a motor court that has been updated. It was clean. The manager went out of her way to change my room when the tv wasn’t working in my room. She upgraded me. She was so friendly and helpful I wanted to leave a review here just for that. Is the motel the best? No. But the room I was given was clean and had all the conveniences I needed. I was happy with my stay. I was in town for business and was exhausted. I got good rest, excellent service while I was there.
- Marina (8/5): - It was a very good price but the place is old and worn down. Beds were okay and the AC worked. It's decent for the price but only for a one night stay. Owners were very pleasant and nice.
- Leonard (4/5): - My reservation was cancelled by Dayton Motel without any notice. On arrival they moved me across the street to their other property, Blue Mountain Motel. They apologized. So I was separated from my friends on a trip. Room was a place to sleep and that is it.

- Seth (6/5): - The room i reserved wasn’t “available” and i suspect none of the rooms looked as advertised because the one i stayed in had filthy old brown carpets and old badly kept wood paneling on the walls from the 80’s. The whole property looked rundown and unkept.

TV was a Roku box that I had to get from the front desk person. People loud /fighting in another room. I felt unsafe and would not recommend this motel.

The rooms are not Queen. they are horrible, stained bedding doors that do not close all the way, bathroom door that does not close at all. People live at this property full time and there is a halfway house across the street. Dogs everywhere. Kids running around that I just wanted to take home and clean up to give them a better life. Just horrible. We did not sleep at all left before the sun came up just to get out of there. The lady at the checkin was very very nice though.
- Doug (6/5): - Not many choices in Dayton. I stayed at the hotel 3-nights. For a budget hotel, it was clean. Building is old, the stained carpet needs to be replace, room door was sticking, but the bed was comfortable. The entire town is old and needs some economic activity.

- Verified traveler (4/5): One star would be a compliment - This one needs to be torn down. The first room I was sent to literally smelled like a well used litter box. The one I stayed in wasn't much bigger than the bed. Spend the extra $ and go somewhere else.

- Lacy (10/5): Hidden Gem - Hidden Gem with friendly helpful host that treats you like a long lost relative. I loved staying in this almost like small apartment with all the comforts of home. Front room was complete with couch, coffee table, microwave, kitchenette with small range oven and refrigerator. Full size bathroom and large bedroom with king size bed, tv and ac. Great base camp for our fishing trip. Parking right in front of door. Awesome!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was probably the shabbiest motel I've ever stayed in. They had made efforts to update, but it just didn't work. They had installed a new (tall) toilet, but it wasn't fastened down on one side! I suspect a rotting floor. The bathroom floor itself sloped steeply to the outside wall. The room and bathroom were full of flies. The walls were very thin and the first night there, I was kept awake by people next door. The next day, I was pulling in to park, and other apparently long-term tenants told me I couldn't park there because "he" would be pissed because "he" had been staying there for 2 months. Again, kept awake by worry about what would happen to my car. Never again!!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): AWFUL - The door wouldn't close unless slammed. There was no security closure on the door. The carpet was filthy. The mattress was crushed and the pillows lumpy. There were no towel bars in the bathroom. The bathroom door would not securely close. The air conditioner didn't work. The room was poorly lit. The floor of the bathtub was V-shaped. The guests in the room next door were heavy smokers and the smoke seeped into my room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quiet night in a dated but clean motel. Innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. It’s no frills, including no ice or vending machines. Well worth the price for a quick overnight.
- Matthew (4/5): Mold/Mildew problem. Stinky! - Check in was fine. However I was greeted with the heaviest mold/mildew smell that I have ever smelled in a currently operating business. There was a moisture collection device in both the main room and in the bathroom. It looked as though the one in the main room was full and needed replacing. After leaving the window and door open as well as keeping the air flowing with the air conditioner the smell was brought down to a tolerable level. I am unsure whether the spots all over the bed spread were mold stains or part of the design. I don't think it was the design. Whatever the case, that bedspread must have been originally purchased for the motel decades ago. Water damage to the hanging wall art. Everything was "clean" as far as I could tell on a surface level but there must be an underlying issue that was either never truly dealt with or if the matter in which they are battling the issue is not strong enough. Would not stay at again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Thin walls - Everything was fine, until people in the neighboring room arrived, and I discovered the walls are thin. I could easily hear the TV and conversations next door, making it difficult to sleep as they stayed up much later than me.
- Jason (2/5): Nope. Just don't do it. - Pics looked nice, had decent reviews, so I went for it. Showed up and found out the place: - Hasn't had a handyman in months, the owner does everything right now. - is next to a drug house and rehab center. - is not nearly as nice looking as the pictures No deadbolt on the front door, stains on the carpet, terrible musty smell, soft spot on the floor, back window looked out to a pile of toilets. Ceilings were 6 and a half feet tall or so. Dirty. Just don't do it.
