- Verified traveler (10/5): Skønt ophold - Vi blev taget rigtig godt imod af husets ejer Darrell og vist rundt. Vi fik et stort værelse til vores familie med mulighed for at lave the/kaffe og meget vigtigt for os; varm kakao. Vi havde fået det værelse, der havde toilet på gangen, men det var intet problem, selvom vi ofte er på toilet om natten. Der er dejlige fælles områder, hvor vi bl.a. spiste den aftensmad, som vi fik hjælp til at bestille. Vi lånte kniv, gafler mv. Der er mulighed for at sidde ind og ude på fællesområderne, og der er dejlig stille. Området føles forholdsvis trygt, og selve gæstehuset er meget trygt. Der er cirka 20 min gang til Rosenbank centeret, og den røde hop on/off bus stopper også tæt på. Vi fik serveret rigtig dejlig morgenmad med bl.a. æg og frisk frugt. Ærgeligt vi ikke kunne spise mere. Wifi forbindelsen var langsom, men tilsvarende hastighed, som vi har oplevet alle andre steder i Sydafrika. Vil bestemt anbefale Darrells Guesthouse fremfor et upersonligt, kedeligt og dyrt hotel.
- Sonia (10/5): Magnifique - Magnifique Guest House dans quartier très résidentiel de la ville et proche des points d’interet de la ville. Chambre super spacieuse, calme et cosy. Magnifique piscine et terrasse. Accueil très prévenant. Petit déjeuner savoureux.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property was great and set the bar high for my first visit to the continent. The staff, Precious, Collins and Darrell were all wonderful and so very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and served daily by the pool. The house is located in a neighborhood that I felt very comfortable walking around in by day. We were a mile or so from the Rosebank Mall and a mile or so from the zoo. The on off bus is at the Mall so I didn't have a problem at all getting around Johannesburg without my own transportation. I highly recommend Englewold Manor.
- Anne (10/5): Relaxation in the midst of relocating! - We were staying here for 3 nights whilst relocating back to the UK. It was an ideal place to stay. The room was perfect and to gardens and pool area provided great relaxation. Lovely breakfasts and Darryl was a wonderful host. Coming in and out during the day was easy and, for us, this was the perfect place to have stayed. When we come back to visit friends in Joburg we would certainly book here.

- Jeremy (10/5): Professional and Friendly - I was visiting for work so did not take advantage of the local amenities however the Englewood is a fantastic place to stay and convenient for most things. Staff were very nice and welcoming. The Englewood is a quiet guest house with areas to relax and work. Things to do; There is a city bus near by which you can jump on and get a whistle stop tour of Jozi. Nelson Mandelas former residence is also close if you are curious and want to see where he lived. Also within walking distance a very good shopping mall with plenty of fast restaurants, shops and a local craft shop. Other places of interest to numerous to mention and if I visit again this will definitely be the place I stay. Breakfast also very good if you have a long day ahead there is plenty of choice to fuel up!
