• Alexander Johannes (9/5): Tolle Erfahrung - Wunderschöner Garten und Unterkunft - Wahnsinnig schöne Unterkunft. Die Gartenanlage und das Zimmer sind bezaubernd. Für Tierliebhaber ein absolutes Paradies, es gibt Schildkröten, viele Vögel (Unter anderem zwei Pfaus) und viele Katzen. Die zwei Pools laden zur Entspannung ein. Auch das Personal ist bemüht. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, dadurch, dass wir nur englisch und kein französisch sprechen, gibt es zwangsläufig geringe Sprachbarrieren. Die Speisekarte ist klein und fein, für Mittag und Abend jedoch die selbe und für Vegetarier nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Speisen sind relativ teuer, dafür, dass es wenige Ausweichmöglichkeiten außerhalb des Hotels gibt.

• Christian (10/5): Un jardin merveilleurx dans un site d'une rare beauté - Si vous passez passez par Taroudant, impossible de ne pas séjourner quelques jours dans ce somptueux décor marocain au jardin extraordinaire. Certes les tarifs sont un peu élevés, mais ils sont parfaitement justifiés et de temps en temps il faut savoir se faire plaisir, vous ne le regretterez pas et vous en souviendrez longtemps. L'accueil est parfait, les suites exceptionnelles, avec de magnifiques terrasses, une décorations sans aucune faute de goût, un restaurant de qualité, bref il aura fallu 20 ans de travail pour créer un jardin exceptionnel. Incontournable ! Rien, impossible de critiquer. Merci.

• Ben (10/5): Amazing hotel and gardens, excellent facilities, food and drink. Best we have stayed in. - This hotel was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrive the team working there could not have looked after any more. The gardens are beautiful, with peacocks, frogs, turtles and amazing cacti, flowers and plants. It was first class. The pool is an amazing 30 meter straight pool through the middle, which made for the best photographs. We had the suite at one end of the pool and it was the best room we have ever stayed in. The food was excellent, both breakfast and the dinner and the drink were really special too. A very special mention to Khalid, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as good as it was, nothing was too much trouble and he made the place extra special. We have recommend it to all our friends and hope to return someday soon.

• Paula (10/5): A stay in paradise - We booked an overnight stay the night prior to a spa day. All communication prior to our visit was prompt and clear. Staff were exceptional, location is amazing - you are close to Taroudant and other places to visit, but you also are cocooned in this little area of paradise. The gardens were beautiful; we loved the different restaurant areas and the privacy each room had. The cats were delightful, the peacocks friendly and there were bonus dogs as well. Our spa day was amazing. My friend ( a former beauty and wellbeing lecturer), says it was the best massage she has ever had. We left feeling pampered beyond our expectations and already planning how soon we can go back for a longer visit Nothing

Special honour to meet the owner and inspiration behind this venue. Good airport transfer arranged by the hotel. Tea pots and coffee machine would be useful but did not effect our enjoyment of a good breakfast. Better explanation of what is available from front desk staff would have made us seek out alternative ideas for outings. We will know for our next visit!

The owners take a hands on approach and are very welcoming to their patrons. We had nothing we didn’t like.
• Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional - This place developed on unconventional hotel lines was a perfect peaceful oasis on the edge of the desert outside Taroudant. We were met efficiently off the plane in Agadir (extra cost) and driven smoothly to the hotel, a journey of c. 1 hour. The hotel was idyllically situated in its own landscaped ecogarden with exotic trees and other vegetations, peacocks, tortoises, innumerable cats and 2 natural pools though too cold to swim. Rooms were comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated with ethnic themes. Open olive wood fires available in rooms and main restaurant. All staff well trained, courteous and helpful. Meals and service of a uniformly high quality.

• Lana (10/5): Beautiful - I cannot find the words to describe the tranquility and beauty of Dar Al Hassoun, the vegetation, birdsong, the simplicity of its design and the calming natural colours. Although not far from town, we went there to escape from the world. As as a family with a toddler, it was heaven. Walking and playing in the beautiful gardens, following mother peacock and her babies, playing with cats, dogs and watching the turtle, birds and beetles. Time slowed down. The weather did not get too sunny and hot, which is unusual for this time of year, so unfortunately the pool was a bit chilly at 21-22 degrees, still we swam and played in the breathtaking, irresistible pool. Meals are delicious, fresh and nutritious. The seafood was particularly good, we also tried the steak and tagine where the meat was so soft, and the pasta was also excellent. Our toddler was treated like a queen and the kitchen staff made her hand cut crisps, from scratch, served warm and so tasty we cant believe we only discovered it on the last day. All the staff were warm welcoming, gracious. Especilly Fawzia, Marouane are brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for Yassine and he was genuinely a star. The staff must be very valuable to them and we felt very much a home.
• David (10/5): Everything we hoped it might be - We loved sitting outside our room amid the exotic interconnected gardens of Dar al Hassoun, listening to the bird song and having conversations with the happy cats. At night, a full moon shining through tall cactus behind the mud walls was quite extraordinary. We had high hopes for our stay; these were met and exceeded. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was delicious, as were the pre-dinner drinks beside the ridiculously photogenic pool. The other smaller pool proved a quiet place to relax. Everything worked as it should - hot water for the shower, air conditioning on hot nights, blackout curtains, bedside lamps. The rooms were tastefully decorated with local crafts - there was nothing bland about the hotel.

• Irma (10/5): A wonderful stay to soak up Morrocan atmosphere! - This hotel is really a knock-out place for a trip to see the glorious settlements of Morocco. Each room is unique and styled to the local atmosphere, and the whole place is within a lush garden setting with narrow pools, peacocks and various Morrocan artifacts and artwork. The food is high class, Morrocan gourmet cuisine. Try the beef tangine with pear for an excellent dinner. The staff is always helpful for anything you might need. The spa is nice for a good relax and treatments. We went on a tour of the city that was arranged by the hotel, which I would highly recommend. They take you on a horse drawn carriage to the walled city and lunch within the Kasbah. Great place for relaxation and discovering Morocco! Everything was great, but bring a flyswatter and/or bug spray if you don’t like flying insects. The Wi-Fi was good in general, and works throughout the whole property, but was spotty at times.

Impressive botanical garden, lovely pool, friendly staff, great food, stylish rooms and lots of spaces to relax. We are blown away by this place. The hammam and relaxing massage were really great. Highly recommended and we would have loved to stay longer. This place is really paradise!

• Carley (9/5): wonderful & unique place to stay with lots of charm - Truly lovely, special grounds with beautiful and lush plant life, cute cats, and a gorgeous pool in middle. Architecturally very stunning and unique. Restaurant was yummy and room was very comfortable. Booking excursions and spa treatments is very easy thanks to all the property information they provided digitally upon check in. We did a half day tour of the souks and it couldn’t have been an easier or more delightfully personal way to explore the Taroudant medina and learn about this part of Morocco and its history. Because we were there in mid / late June as the notorious Moroccan heat in this part of the country was kicking in, it would have been nice to enjoy the pool a little more — but the plant life makes it a little buggy outside and therefore it’s a little hard to fully relax next to the pool while you’re swatting at things left and right. This is not a fault of the property necessarily — part of traveling at that time of year and being in a place with so many gorgeous plants — just something to know ahead of time and bring bug spray for if lounging by their pool is a big part of your intended itinerary. Rooms are definitely authentic and give off a rustic cabin vibe, though still utterly comfortable with AC / Wi-Fi / TV / modern shower fixtures.

• Helen (10/5): Wonderful stay - This Property is truly wonderful, we had a fabulous couple of nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. It was the perfect escape after the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and whilst Taroudant will only keep you busy for a day or two adding an extra day here to relax and sit in the glass house or beautiful gardens is the perfect escape. A small secluded heated pool meant a dip (even on a chilly February afternoon) was enjoyed. The room was perfectly sized with turn down whilst at dinner and you returned to a fire made ready to light. The menu offered is of a good standard, you can order traditional (rather large) portions a day in advance if nothing on the menu takes your fancy. we had an extensive offering at breakfast with your choices from a menu cooked to order. Alcohol is available from the bar. We don’t tend to visit the same place twice however wonderful it is, but if we did we would be back!

• Bina (10/5): Exceptional - The grounds are so pretty and the food is five stars. Staff is so friendly and helpful and there’s a spa and hammam on site. Special mention to Amine who hung out with our kid so we could go to the hammam. They gave us a room in our own courtyard so we could spread out and our kid could run. The property and staff are fantastic. We had our 6 year old with us and while the staff were super welcoming and laidback the other guests seemed less into having a kid around. We spent a lot of time trying to keep him quiet at the restaurant and pool area as it’s a very tranquil environment. I very much recommend this place but I’d probably take meals somewhere other than the main restaurant if I came back with kids.

• Paulo (10/5): Almost entirely perfect. - Amazing oasis just outside the city. the whole place is wonderful. the gardens are stunning and the hospitality is great. we will definitely come back. Honestly, it was almost perfect. the only downside is the price of the dinner. while it was great, it is a little overpriced. also breakfast buffet didn’t reach the standards of this style of high end hotel.
