• Olivia (10/5): Excellent - Value for money was incredible (although might’ve been because of low season) staff were kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and the amenities were good! Food quality was excellent, no complaints. Yes, the drive is expensive HOWEVER if driving in the desert isn’t in your skill set (it’s not in mine) then you pay for someone who can.

The taxi from the village to the camp is extremely expensive and after all they still ask you for extra money for parking your car at the petrol station. The camp should have a shuttle service included in the price or review the fare. Everything you do at camp is extra (only thing free is to watch the big screen under the stars!)

• maachaoui (8/5): - Les tentes sont spacieuses en face d une grande dune que l on peut monter et redescendre en luge. Nous n avons pas fait d activités vu le prix trop excessif. Sinon il y a du quad du dromadaire et du dune bashing. Les repas étaient bon. Nous sommes arrivés vers 16h00 largement suffisant pour voir le coucher de soleil. Nous avions un 4x4 donc a l entrée de la piste il fait dégonfler les pneus et suivre la piste . Très facile d accès et très bien indiqué.

• Mahjouba (5/5): Bien pour dormir une nuit. Mais nuit authentique dans le désert omanais pas ressenti. - Propre bien entretenu. Chauffeur qui nous emmène au camps au top. Si vous voulez une nuit authentique dans le désert passer votre chemin. La principale déception concerne la nourriture : elle est essentiellement indienne, et pas du tout locale. De plus, il s’agit plutôt d’une cuisine de type fast food (riz froid, brochettes de poulet simples), ce qui est vraiment dommage dans ce cadre. On s’attendait à pouvoir découvrir de la cuisine omanaise, avec de bons plats traditionnels et de la viande de qualité. Surtout pour une seule nuit, cela aurait pu rendre l’expérience vraiment inoubliable. C’est donc assez décevant sur ce point, car tout le reste du cadre s’y prête parfaitement. D’autres camps proposent probablement une expérience plus authentique, notamment côté cuisine.

• Roberta (10/5): Meraviglioso - Struttura nuova e accogliente, con la possibilità di prenotare diverse attività. Noi personalmente non le abbiamo prenotate. Letteralmente in mezzo a dune altissime la cui cima è raggiungibile liberamente e spontaneamente a piedi o tramite corda appositamente posizionata. Vista stratosferica al tramonto. Buffet colazione e cena squisito con tanta varietà e disponibilità costante nella area comune di datteri e tè, nonché Aqua in bottigliette.

• Fatih (6/5): Eine nacht hat völlig ausreichend.. Anforderungen müssen hier runtergeschraubt werden - Gute Lage in der Wüste.. Der Bau war von Termiten befallen und überall waren diese Bauten an den Wänden! Ein Wechsel auf ein anderes Bungalow war trotz kaum Belegung nur schwer möglich. Wir hatten zwei Nächte gebucht und wollten auf eine Nacht verkürzen, da durch den Starkregen und Überflutungen wir weiter mussten. Booking.com zeigte sich kulant und hat die Buchung ändern wollen aber die Unterkunft hat auf booking.com verwiesen und wollte selbst nicht aktiv werden. Leider antwortet die Unterkunft auf Booking.com nicht aufgerundet der Änderung. Uns verweist die Unterkunft weiterhin an booking.
• Carmine (7/5): Pagata struttura come luxury ma l’esperienza è stata di qualità più bassa - Posizione davanti ad una bellissima duna per salire anche a piedi e vedere il tramonto. Acqua e datteri a disposizione degli ospiti. Molte attività proposte (quod, 4x4, cammello e mongolfiera). Cinema all’aperto con pop corn. Buona cena e colaIone servita al tavolo (forse perché come ospiti eravamo pochi); ti portavano anche il bis delle cose e si poteva chiedere ciò che più si desiderava. Personale delle attività e della reception molto accogliente e collaborativo. Ho soggiornato per €200 nella tenda sultano per una notte. La tenda non era per nulla pulita (a terra era visibilmente sporco e la doccia piena di sapone degli ospiti precedenti). Telecomando dell’aria condizionata non funzionante (anche dopo intervento). Bagno non degno di un camp luxury. Vi erano cattivi odori e facendosi la doccia si allagava tutto. Mancanza di asciugacapelli in camera e di prese per caricare. Durante il giorno la tenda è un forno. Necessità di più cura degli spazi comuni (es. fornire l’acqua in dispenser freschi e spazzare più volte la sabbia dai tappeti.) non vengono forniti servizi di strutture luxury come i vari kit di cortesia. Trasferimento molto costoso per il tragitto fatto. In sintesi struttura carina ma scarso rapporto qualità prezzo. Se volete un esperienza luxury non è questo il posto.

• Mirko (9/5): - Il Sama ci ha stupito per molti aspetti. Arrivarci è stato facile, non è necessario avere un 4x4. Si trova ai piedi di una grande duna, che puoi esplorare a piedi. Le stanze, organizzate come un villaggio sono silenziose (ovviamente) e comode. La pulizia rispecchia l'alto standard della struttura. Tutto è organizzato per dare una esperienza davvero consigliata. Il nostro pacchetto aveva anche la cena, e vale davvero la pena, perché il cibo era buonissimo e vario. Poi ci si può rilassare nei grandi spazi comuni oppure accomodarsi nelle poltrone cinema e vedere il film ai piedi della duna. Tante le attività proposte, ma noi non ne abbiamo usufruito. Ci è bastato esplorare la duna al tramonto e all'alba Nulla

• Daniel (8/5): Wonderful stay in the dunes - Wonderful location in the Wahiba sands dunes. Easy to get to without deflating tires. Friendly staff and check-in. Great dinner and breakfast area - wonderful. Get a Sultan Tent it's totally worth it. Loved hiking in the dunes for sunset and sunrise. Nice and clean rooms. Lovely stay. Sultan tents are very close to movie area - super loud sound from movies until too late. No big deal though.

Vor Ort können Quads und andere Unterhaltungen gebucht werden. Die Unterkunft ist für die Lage sehr komfortabel. Trotz zweifacher Übernachtung wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Für eine Wüstenunterkunft ist das Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

• Grzegorz (10/5): - We spent one night at Sama Wasil Desert Camp, and it’s definitely a place we will remember for a long time. Even the drive there was an amazing experience. Driving a 4x4 through the desert felt magical. The route was easy with a 4x4, and the views were absolutely worth it. We stayed in a chalet with two bedrooms and a private bathroom. It was very clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, simple but full of atmosphere. The common dining area was also very pleasant and well organized. Dinner and breakfast were both tasty and varied. In the evening, there was live music during dinner. The camp also offers an outdoor cinema under the stars with two screenings each night. We didn’t attend, but it’s a lovely idea. We did a camel ride at sunrise and visited a local Bedouin family. We highly recommend both experiences. Staying in the desert is a must-do in Oman, and spending the night in this camp makes the experience even more magical. We truly recommend it.

• Julia (9/5): Eine tolle Erfahrung, die wir gern weiterempfehlen! - Das Camp ist liebevoll gestaltet und bietet alles, was man für einen Kurzaufenthalt in der Wüste braucht. Wir hatten eine kleine Hütte für uns und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lediglich das Bad passt vom Standard her nicht zum Rest des Camps - beeindruckend was man dort mitten in die Wüste gebaut hat. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Abendessen mit Live-Musik, Open-Air-Kino und Lagerfeuer - Abends wird es definitiv nicht langweilig. Unter dem Dach der eigenen Terrasse oder im zentralen Rondell der Anlage gibt es gute Gelegenheiten in der Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit entspannt zu lesen oder ein bisschen zu dösen. Wir wären gern noch eine zweite Nacht geblieben. Das Bad war wie gesagt funktional, aber nicht wirklich schön. Wir hatten einen Kamelausritt bei Sonnenuntergang gebucht, der verspätet losging, was grundsätzlich passieren kann, allerdings wurde die verlorene Zeit weder erstattet noch die Tour um diese Zeit verlängert. Bei einem Preis von 65€ pro Person und Stunde ärgerlich. Auch der Transfer, der ohne 4x4 Fahrzeug wirklich dringend (!!!) benötigt wird schlägt mit 65€ zu Buche, was unserer Meinung nach völlig überteuert ist. Die Auswahl an Essen und Getränken ist nicht besonders groß, aber das ist letztlich Jammern auf hohen Niveau.
