The washroom has a floor with quite a slope on it so the shower water can cross the floor to a drain under the sink.The drain was very slow , up to 3/3 of an hour to drain; so you walk through water on a sloping floor. Staff just shrugged and said its just like that. No room cleaning, the matress is wrapped in plastic, sweaty to sleep on, the place is terrible and i would not stay there again if it were free

• Johntravelswithlove (8/5): Good location - This place is right in the middle of town with many places to eat and go shop. The room staff as well as the receptionists were very helpful and jovial. Sadly our door was broken and the place was a bit rundown.

Service- When i check in at the frontdesk last 09/28/19, the one wearing black jacket and im not sure if white shirt or polo underneath the jacket is i dont feel good customer service compare to the one wearing yellow polo shirt i commend her. 2.) Cleanliness - I was at the 5th floor and spent 24 hours check in, i can say the room is clean, clean towels, clean bedsheet. 3.) Comfort, Condition and Local Area - For 24 hours check in, i was able to sleep a little bit because i enjoy spending my time on the nearby mall, bar & restaurant, but i think the aircon is not fully functioning but at least i felt a little cold but not that much, frontdesk area is humid and the hot shower is not functioning. Overall, i still recommend this to the readers on the page and to my family and friends if you prefer nearby mall, bar & restaurant with an affordable rate.
• Candy Ann (8/5): Convenient and clean - Enjoyed my stay at Novo. It was pretty convenient because it’s located next to Lee Plaza and other establishments. The room I got was on the 5th floor in-front of the elevator, it was mostly quiet in the evenings and room cleaning was good. Will definitely stay here again!
• agnestabing (6/5): Accessibility - At first, seeing the hotel from the picture where I placed the booking.... looks great. But when I reached the hotel, quite difficult to see as it is only a small doorway leading to the hotel. It is located beside 2 Department Stores in the city. I was given a room at the 5th floor, but since I am a Senior Citizen and can not go up and down on the stairs, I requested to stay on the 3rd floor. Rooms are on the 3rd to 5th floors. Pros: Strong WiFi connection Within the city Near the supermarket, Reston’s Very accessible to transportation Have toiletries Staff are helpful Cons: Elevator is not working Air-con is set automatic, it’s not that cold No hot water for tea or coffee inside the room Water coming out on the ceiling of the toilet

• Verified traveler (4/5): MOLDTEL TERROR! Asia NoGO Hotel - DISGUSTING!!!!! The bathroom had thick mold in every corner and there was always a huge puddle of standing water. Aircon would barely work but then turn off after an hour. The room and entire hotel wing smelled like bengay, so strong it was overwhelming. Broken bathroom door handle and TV stand. Staff downstairs was always on their cellphone (texting/fb) when we complained about the room, not a care in the world. I wouldn't even stay here if I was traveling alone and I've traveled a lot all over the world. Originally booked for 4 nights but only stayed ONE! Find another place. DON'T BOOK THIS MOLDTEL! Plenty more places in beautiful Dumaguete to enjoy your vacation. *** Hotels.com should remove this property immediately!!! ***
• Mauro (10/5): Novo Boutique hotel... More than expected - Hotle just in the center of the city and with malls and shops just out of the door. You have hospitals, schools, churches, market, anything around! The room is big and confortable, desk tv. The bathroom has good quality wc and hot water shower. There is a coffee shop at second floor. The reception is open 24h. Very gentle employees. I had more than expected. Really good experience.
• SIEWNC (10/5): Good option for divers and Excellent location in city - Room and attached toilet is big and spacious. Very clean. Location is excellent - 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal and in middle of downtown. Plenty of 24 hours eateries around. Many major shopping and supermarket opposite and next to hotel. Lots of tricycles queuing in front of hotel. WiFi is great in room. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable on getting rental bike, banking services and other tour requirements. Ample parking lots in basement. Also good for diving in Dauin. Resorts there expensive and eateries not readily available. So rent a bike at P500 per day and ride to Dauin everyday. Still very worth while to stay in city and this hotel.

• John (4/5): Pass unless you are a local Filipino - Good-Central location (but most hotels are very walkable), big room, decent wifi, comfy bed Bad-broken elevator (5 floors), weak a/c(12 hours to cool room), unfriendly staff, standby staff, toilet leaking sewage onto floor, dirty shower floor The bottom line is that most issues that plague this hotel could be resolved by firing the manager and run like a serious hotel. There is plenty of staff to work on failings, but they are all too obsessed with hanging out in the well air conditionled lobby tethered to their phones to even notice guests. Saw things that would make me not trust the staff with my valuables. I've stayed at almost every hotel in DGTE and have never received such terrible service from the staff. World View is comparible in price and much better or pay the extra 4 bucks a day for FieSole or Palwa
• michael (8/5): - Good location, easy walk to Boulevard. Rented a scooter and they have an attached free parking garage. Not really what I consider a boutique hotel, not really cute. More of an urban and a bit run down. Staff was good, price was good.
• Carmie66 (8/5): Great location, great value - This is centrally located in downtown Dumaguete so it is very convenient with regards to proximity to restaurants, shoppping, transportation and even the famous promenade in the city, Rizal Boulevard. I love that when you step out, the pedicabs (motorcycle with sidecar) load and unload passengers right in front of hotel. The room I was in was a queen, which was very reasonably-priced, spacious and clean. I would recommend this hotel as a jumping base for tourists.
• Carm (8/5): - So convenient as pedicabs load and unload right in front of the hotel; the hotel is also located in the hub of downtown so you can easily walk to restaurants and cafes nearby. It is very priced reasonably although they could upgrade their building, there is only one elevator which broke down twice in the two-weeks I stayed there. It wasn’t the Sheraton but for the price I paid, the room was surprisingly large and clean.
• Michael (8/5): Asia Novo - Wi-Fi was hit and miss. Also the noise from ongoing construction was a bit annoying but overall was nice. Recommend the Presidential Presidential room.

Was also staying on the 5th floor and the elevator stopped working for over half a day.. And the wifi was very sketchy. My friend on the fourth floor also had terrible wifi.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Location, location, location - It is definitely a no frills hotel, but the location is awesome. Once there, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. It needs some updating, but the air conditioner works well, the shower has great water pressure & hot water, and the cable has a decent selection. The don't offer breakfast, but there are several places nearby. It was alright for an overnight stay. We would stay there again.

• Kate (6/5): Value for your money. - The rooms were spacious and comfortable but needs updating. Shower heater was not working and AC could not be adjusted anytime because remote control was with the staff. You have to call them to adjust the temperature.
• graceroste (10/5): Great Hotel - Family of 5 checked in here, clean and spacious hotel, next to Lee Super Plaza, fast food places like, mcdonald's, Jollibee etc.are just right across the street, staff are helpful, will stay here again the next time we're in town.

But most kept their heads buried in their cell phones, not even noticing when you walked by. Had to make a special request for house keeping service. Could not recommend.

• meroibrava (8/5): Downtown hotel - The property is very accessible it is just located downtown of Dumaguete just near Lee Super Plaza. Outside the hotel you'll see different fastfood restaurants where you can dine. Room rates are also very affordable.
• Sillimanian (2/5): Terrible stay! - As you are entering the main door to the reception area for check-in, hallway is very dirty. There's garbage on the floor. There's mice in the bathroom. Water is not draining properly. Water is all over the floor, and there's no mat. Not safe at all. Light is not working too. I have to call reception to get rid of the mice and get a new bulb. You can't use the phone in the room to call. Only for reception. Elevator is not working the next morning until I checked-out.You have to take the stairs For my 2 nights stay, it was a disaster for me. Location is very convenient. But, not a good one and definitely, not recommendable.
