- Juan (1/5): Terrible - El ruido no es aislado en una parte del hotel, se escucha el ruido de todos los parlantes en las habitaciones hasta tarde en la noche haciendo imposible dormir. Estuvimos 4 noches y ninguna pudimos dormir. Nos cambiaron dos veces de habitación en en ambos lugares del hotel ponían tarimas justo junto a las habitaciones y el ruido era increíble, hasta con audífonos puestos seguíamos escuchando el Ruido de afuera.

- andres (7/5): Buen hospedaje para familias con niños.. la comida no es su fuerte! - Las habitaciones son muy confortables, amplias, con una terracita generosa y con unas vistas agradables. El aire funciona perfectamente y la atención de las camareras y el aseo es bueno. La zona de la piscina es amplia, buenas piscinas ! La actitud del personal es atenta y alegre. Hay im café el cual es bueno y confortable. La comida es regular. Por debajo del promedio de in hotel de esta categoria. En este tema es hotel caro, por que el precio del todo incluido no es para la comida que ofrecen. Algunas veces la zona de la piscina puede ser muy ruidosa. Ponen in parlante con musica muy fuerte u por varias horas. Esta bien la musica, pero con volumen mas adecuado. Faltan camastros con sombra y las toallas de piscina son escazas. Nos toco esperar varias horas a que llegaran toallas para nosotros.

Algunos empleados fueron muy groseros y me pidieron que saliera de la piscina sin previo aviso, alegando que no tenía una membresía que nadie me había mencionado anteriormente. Me sentí muy incómodo y no valorado como cliente. Me parece inaceptable que un hotel de esta categoría con los precios tan altos, no se tome la molestia de informar a sus huéspedes sobre las políticas de membresía y acceso a las instalaciones. La falta de comunicación y la actitud agresiva de algunos empleados arruinaron mi estancia en el hotel. Espero que se tomen medidas para mejorar el servicio al cliente y evitar que otros huéspedes pasen por lo mismo, Desde que llegamos encontramos muy mala actitud iniciando con la recepción, solicité dos habitaciones para 6 personas 5 adultos y una adolescente de 15 años por lo que en el momento de la reserva no me la incluyeron tomándola como una niña y cuando llegamos al hotel me cobraron por ella una diferencia mayor, equivalente al casi 125% del valor registro inicial por huésped, obligándome a pagar o de lo contrario perdía la reserva y aplicaban la penalidad Fue un fin de semana en el que en vez de disfrutar junto a mi familia, la pasamos muy mal

The main source of frustration for us was the practical inability to access and enjoy the sea. During our stay, there was no safe access for swimming. The presence of the artificial reef in front of the beach club, the proximity of the river mouth to the left, and the conditions of the beach to the right — with dark sand and an uninviting appearance — make the “beach experience” different from what one would expect from a Caribbean resort. We understand that natural conditions are beyond the hotel’s control. Nevertheless, the explanation provided on site, attributing the situation solely to temporary weather or tide conditions, did not seem to reflect the structural reality of the area. We believe that clearer and more transparent communication regarding the beach characteristics would help better align guest expectations. Fatalne jedzenie -wybór duży, ale wszystko przesuszone - ryby, kurczak, wieprzowina czy wołowina - wszystko wysmażone jak podeszwa i w rezultacie bez smaku. Wędliny, sery, warzywa zupełnie bez smaku. Najgorsze co dotyczy kuchni spotkało nas ostatniego dnia (w Nowy Rok) gdy menadżer restauracji przy śniadaniu podchodził do gości z Panią z kuchni i pytał jak oceniamy jedzenie w tej restauracji. Jak powiedzieliśmy, ze nam nie smakuje to dopytywał dlaczego i na miejscu tłumaczył to tej pracownicy. Nie wiem co to miało na celu - upokorzyć ją? Nas postawić w żenującej sytuacji, żebyśmy kłamali, żeby tej Pani przykrości nie zrobić? Do tej pory czuję niesmak po tej rozmowie. Jeśli oczekiwał szczerej odpowiedzi to wystarczyło wśród Gości rozdać ankiety i każdy by napisał co sądzi o jedzeniu, a nie wymuszać takie zeznania niby w atmosferze miłej rozmowy. Nie każdy jest na tyle asertywny, żeby w takiej sytuacji powiedzieć szczerze co sądzi o jedzeniu, zwłaszcza gdy osoba oceniana stoi tuż obok. Nigdy wcześniej nie widziałam tak żenującego zachowania menadżera restauracji. Plaża okropna. Baseny OK, ale brak wyczucia odnośnie głośności muzyki. Oczywiście rozumiem, że w trakcie animacji i zajęć w basenie muzyka jest głośno i ma to jakieś uzasadnienie, ale w chwili gdy nie ma żadnych animacji, Goście się nie bawią, nie tańczą to ta głośna muzyka przeszkadzała w rozmowach i odpoczynku. Animacje wieczorne w lobby hotelu to też jakieś nieporozumienie. Jedyne miejsce, w którym można wieczorem posiedzieć i porozmawiać wypełnione było wrzaskami. Rozumiem, że karaoke to dla Gości może być fajna zabawa, ale sprzęt i głośniki trzeba dostosować do wielkości i akustyki pomieszczenia. Marzyłam o tym, żeby te wrzaski do mikrofonu już się skończyły. I nie chodzi mi o to, że małe dzieci krzyczały do mikrofonu, bo czego wymagać od dziecka, skoro dorośli którzy prowadzili te atrakcje zachowywali się jeszcze gorzej. Cieszę się że spędziliśmy tam tylko 4 noce i przenieśliśmy się do innego hotelu.

I had someone accompany me and had photo proof of every handoff at pickup and drop-off. The only thing that I didn't like, was one of my tours was Spanish speaking only. But, even with that someone was able to translate for me while on the tour.

Kelli, Leidi, Ari, Eudith, Moni, Killy, Igmar we’re the best entertainment team. A quick walk or shuttle to the beach. There’s a restaurant at the beach. My kids loved the kids corner. They had non-stop activities for them. So much entertainment throughout the day. Fitness classes like pilates and cycling at the pool area. We learned how to dance Bachata at the beach one day. Then another dancing class at the pool side another day. When the evening hit, we did kareoke one night, then Spanish dancing another, live singing. We were there for Thanksgiving (American holiday) and they had singinig/ bubble show for the kids and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

The spa experience is the only thing I would recommend but even that was upsetting when they tell you you have a $200 spa credit but didn't say it was broken down it's coupons that could be used for specific services at the spa.
- kirstymO990ZE (2/5): False Advertising and Breach of Contract - Stay Away - I am sharing this advisory to warn travelers about my recent experience at Dreams Karibana Golf & Resort, which was extremely disappointing and misleading. Despite paying for a Preferred Club upgrade, none of the advertised benefits were delivered. There was no upgraded drink package, no exclusive pool access (the “Preferred Pool” was open to all guests), and no meaningful premium amenities. Major Issues: False Advertising: Preferred Club perks such as private lounge, premium liquors, and personalized check-in were nonexistent. Service Failures: Nov 18: Buffet closed without notice; guests forced to eat outside in the blazing sun while management (wearing pink shirts) sat comfortably in the shade with fans. Nov 21: Beach closed all day for a private wedding hosted by the hotel owner’s family. Paying guests were denied access to the beach and Oceanside Grill. Policy Violations: The resort claims to be smoke-free, yet the hotel owners VIP guests smoked cigars and vapes in the lobby. Complaints were ignored. This experience borders on false advertising and breach of contract. I paid for services that were not delivered and was treated as secondary to the owner’s acquaintances. Worst Part: I submitted a formal complaint to hotel management and never received any follow-up or acknowledgment. I was also happy and willing to show photos on the smoking guests. Recommendation: I strongly advise against booking this resort unless you are prepared for broken promises and poor service. If you value transparency, fairness, and basic hospitality standards, look elsewhere.

- Inspire35102816490 (2/5): Don’t book - I would give zero stars if that were an option. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing especially considering the amount of money we paid. From the start, the experience fell far below expectations. The all-inclusive drinks were clearly bottom shelf and actually made me sick. Housekeeping was inconsistent; after cleaning, basic items like towels and washcloths were not replaced, and we repeatedly had to call the front desk to request them. We never had hot water during our stay, despite multiple attempts by staff to fix the issue. The room itself was poorly maintained the balcony was filthy, including the glass, the front door was dirty, and several charging outlets were broken, forcing us to charge our devices in the bathroom. We were also disappointed by the lack of communication and amenities. We were told the pool closed at 6 PM, which we were never informed of beforehand. Given how unbearably hot it was during the day, evening pool access would have been ideal. There was nothing to do on the resort, the game room was unavailable, and overall, the resort lacked entertainment or activities. Additionally, there were no accommodations for my vegan diet, which was very frustrating at an all-inclusive resort. The worst experience, however, was at the Italian restaurant. After requesting a clean chair because the one at our table was visibly dirty, we were made to wait over an hour for our food, which was unacceptable. Overall, this resort did not meet even basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, or service. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this resort to anyone.

The hotel is big and bright with a friendly and welcoming staff and the entertainment team was amazing, with so many fun activities and classes like yoga, Spanish lessons, salsa classes and more. And the free shuttle to the walled city is great, we went 4 times!

The food and drinks were solid, the room (preferred club junior suite w/ ocean view) was spacious and clean, and the staff is incredibly hard working and friendly (shout out to Yenny the fitness instructor and Jesus at the main pool). While I don't think my travels will bring me back to Colombia, I would definitely say this resort is worth a visit if you are looking for great relaxation around Cartagena.
