Guest Reviews
- Anita (8/5): - Enjoyed having a pot bellied stove on the cold nights and the view from the front porch of the cottage was amazing!
- David (8/5): Very restful quiet location - Position . Close to township. View beyond words Couldn’t access Netflix. Needed tissues. These are just minor things.
- Darat (9/5): -
- Michael (7/5): - Location, view Couch, smelly bathroom, unable to use fire
- Michelle (9/5): Absolutely stunning property, great views and convenient location for access to all tourist spots and for dining etc - Views were amazing. Location was excellent Would have loved a bath after all the hiking
- Hills (9/5): Freycinet is beautiful, this place is a good choice for accommodation. - Washing machine and dryer. Comfortable beds and lounge area. Well equipped kitchen etc. The air con and heating controls were unable to be used.
- Katherine (9/5): -
- Heinrich (10/5): Herrlichen Ausblick - Der Blick war wunderschön, auf das Meer und die Berge, kleiner überschaubarer Ort. Keinen persönlichen Ansprechpartner vor Ort
- Trevor (9/5): Wonderful location - Location Ants in kitchen and freezer needs defrosting
- Judith (9/5): Great location within the National Park and close to cafe and general store! Great view from our balcony! Highly recomme - Location and parking! The view of the bay was gorgeous! Great shower and beds very comfortable!
Kitchen facilities were very generous and plenty of utensils! Better flush on the toilet, half flush no good!
Mirrors in the bedrooms!
- Alison (10/5): Looking accommodation with breathtaking views - Amazing views, spacious and very clean, everything you could need for a good stay. We loved it here. Having to leave 😔
- Denise (5/5): Great location and views, but inside studio not up to scratch. - Location was excellent with views of the bay. The studio was spacious, bed was comfortable and communication with the letting agents was good. Studio was tired and in need of a refresh. It smelled quite musty in the lounge area with stains on the rug. There was a thick layer of dust on the light fittings and the sofas and cushions smelled dusty and needed clean.
- Marites (10/5): - Location was superb! The unit lacks mirrors. Bathroom mirror is the only mirror available.
- Guest (8/5): - The BBQ was rusted and the hot plates/grill need to be replaced and there was no oven
- Frances (9/5): -
- Vivienne (10/5): Fabulous space - would highly recommend. - Stunning view from the front bedroom and living area, comfortable and lovely modern kitchen and bathroom. Quiet and spacious. A couple of things weren’t working e.g fan and a light in the bathroom. Lack of hooks etc to hang towels up in the bathroom.
- Anna (8/5): - Excellent location Nothing in particular but it’s probably quite expensive for what you get.
- Janet (10/5): Great stay ! - View is fabulous ! Potholes in the driveway
- Sue (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable - Great position Could have done with air conditioning, especially on a hot and smoky day
- Christine (8/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): -
- Norman (8/5): - Close to everything we went on helicopter flight time from unit was very close by small town not good if you need anything urgent
- Gina-Marie (8/5): Outstanding view and location. - The view from the main bedroom and lounge room. Walking distance to the General Store, cafe and ice creamery. Wineglass bay 11 minutes drive down the road. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for myself and my daughter, so I was not expecting that the second bedroom was not made up nor was linen left. We arrived after the office closed so we were unable to remedy until the next day. I had failed to see an email to confirm that I needed both rooms 2 days before I arrived!!! I was not impressed. If this is a requirement to confirm it should be stated clearer when booking.
The fireplace can only be used May to September. This should also be explained in the booking.
The gas bottle ran out when I was cooking dinner. The guard was on low and I only had it on for 10 minutes.
No ice tray.

- Bridget (9/5): Perfect spot - Views, location, fireplace, everything we needed. The windows could have been cleaner- to see such an amazing view
- Rebecca (7/5): Great views. Could do with better customer service - The views were amazing. Couldn't have asked for better views of The Hazards and the Bay. Close to walks and very close to Freycinet National Park. There are two rooms in the facility. But they only make up the beds that you ask for (they asked if we wanted a Queen but didn't tell me that they wouldn't make up the other bed). So when we needed 2 beds, we had to drive to get linen to make up the other room (2x single beds) but they only gave me linen for a queen bed and i was unable to move the beds together so had to make do. Received an email at 2pm to say that our room was ready for check in but they failed to inform us in that email (and in the phone call about the linen AND face to face when I picked up the linen) that they had been notified there would be no water at the property! I called at 4.30pm to say there was no water and they said "yes, we were informed that the water would be off until 4pm" - but it was past that time! Water eventually came on later that night, but not being able to wash your hands after using the bathroom wasn't nice. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work. It has under floor heating but you're not allowed to use it. It has a combustion fireplace but no vent to allow air in so you either have to smoke up the room or the flames get smothered before they take hold. VERY steep path to the front door.

- Jordan (8/5): Lovely little cottage in great location! -
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Joel (6/5): - Convenient location with spectacular views.
Staff were responsive to issues raised during our stay. Cottage wasn't well cleaned on check-in and it has some maintenance issues. Both were promptly addressed after alerting the management staff.
- Lindybruce (10/5): - Awesome view perfect spot
- Mandy (8/5): Very good - The view was amazing you would stay there just based on that . The couches were terrible very low and sunken , after a long day hiking and exploring would be nice to see them updated 😀
- Maya (9/5): Magical view, superbly managed and great value for money - Incredible view of the Hazard mountains! I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to see that the bed literally faces them. I enjoyed delicious ground coffee provided in the morning under the duvet watching the sunrise — perfect.
The kitchen was well equipped, I appreciated having cooking oil, cling film and a dishwasher provided amongst other things. Great to have a washing machine and dryer with detergent provided (although I didn’t need to use them). The fire was set-up for the first use and super easy to manage.
The location couldn’t have been better. A stone’s throw from the water, great supermarket and walking paths!
Care was taken to landscape the property to keep its privacy despite being next to the other holiday homes. The only downsides were the shower pressure, the lack of cozy lighting and it was a bit chilly until the radiator was on for a while to heat up the living spaces.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Location, amazing view, amenities in the kitchenette, washer and dryer, wood burning stove, BBQ. Great little extras like heated sheets in the second bedroom and nice products in bathroom. Very minor but needs some additional cutlery, sharp knives.
- Tanya (8/5): Very good - Location was amazing! Needed a really good clean, lots of cobwebs and odds and sod’s cutlery, cups and glasses!
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (9/5): Perfect location for walking wineglass track and then relaxing after - Location perfect
Very cosy Great ensuite but water pressure very disappointing
- Megan (8/5): Lovely cottage in a great location. With fabulous views. - Excellent location with incredible views. No mirrors in the bedrooms
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - The view is stunning and location very convenient to the local stores and a short drive to the national park. Everything you would need is included. The road in the driveway needs fixing. There is a real chance of bottoming out the car and it is a danger for pedestrians, my friend lost her footing - luckily no injuries but it is an accident waiting to happen.
- Karolyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - The stone cotttage was in the perfect location for what we wanted to do and see.
The views of Coles Bay and the Hazards were spectacular
- David (8/5): Satisfying and refreshing - Views and proximity to town Wasn’t set up for 4 adults. Missing chairs inside and out, single beds too short, lacks full sized fridge and oven
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Kerry (7/5): Good -
- Denise (9/5): Beautiful comfortable accommodation with stunning views we would book again - Lovely views from the lounge, bedroom and balcony. Has washing machine and dryer. A broom or vacuum cleaner would be handy.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fantastic location with great view - Excellent location and lovely view Not a lot of storage space for grocery items
- Karyn (9/5): Magic - Fantastic location, clean, amazing view and close to shops Was a little hot the first night we were there and we could have done with a fan in each room as there was no airflow… the next night we had a beautiful breeze.
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (10/5): Mountain views - Perfect location, amenities, and the views were magnificent!
- Wing (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (9/5): Would stay again and recommend to others. - Great location. Sensational views of the bay and the mountains. Easy and quick walk to the dock for our day out on the water. Cafes just around the corner. Walking tracks were only about 100m from the front door. Would definitely stay here again.
- Alex (10/5): Perfect place with amazing views - The place has everything you might need and the view is amazing! Highly recommend!
- Tracey (9/5): Overall we had a great stay - The location was fabulous The cabin was a bit small
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grant (8/5): Very good - Great location, lovely views from the main bedroom and living room. Good size, comfortable and clean.
- Catriona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): Amazing scenery on your doorstep - Location, view, privacy, cosy
- Matthew (10/5): Great - Position No supply of toiletries shampoo conditioner etc
- Jenna (7/5): Lovely place to stay - Amazing location and view
Highchair was great
Bathroom was nice, great shower pressure
Laundry facilities were also great Fridge settings were all wrong - ruined $100 worth of fresh produce and eggs I had just bought by freezing it all. Lesson learnt- I need to check the settings and not assume they would be perfect already.
Also, kitchen had lots of ants!!! Ant rid and bug spray were provided but still got into lots of our things when we had them out on the bench.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and amazing views
- Donna (10/5): Fun in Freycinet - The view from Greystanes Studio 5 was incredible overlooking Freycinet. the apartment was spacious and very comfortable for 3 people N/A
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Gavan (7/5): Good - The location was excellent from our point of view. A great base to thoroughly explore Freycinet National Park. The unit we stayed in is starting to look tawdry and shows obvious signs that perhaps the owner and or management are taking a token attitude to maintenance and deep cleanliness. The property needs a deep clean. I don't blame the cleaners for this. I suspect they are only paid to move through quickly for a basic, superficial cleaning job. In theory, this unit offered laundry facilities which are very desirable when one is doing a relatively long road trip. We arrived to find a sign on the Dryer to say that it was inoperative. Good management would have informed us of this in advance!
- Kada (8/5): Good views - Great views The net screen door was almost impossible to open and close. The couches were not comfortable and there were always ants and bugs around the kitchen and bedrooms
- Sudha (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Great location. Nice view. Clean and comfortable for a short stay. Pretty good value for coles bay after a discount. BBQ gas was low on arrival and ran out on the first night. Accommodation is overdue for some maintenance e.g. sliding screen door. The large pot hole in the driveway was a bit of an inconvenience.
- Sharyn (10/5): Wished we could have stayed longer - very relaxing - The location was fantastic - nice view and in the centre of Coles Bay - great for cafes and walks
- Brian (10/5): Glorious spot, hope to come again sometime. - Great view out the front. Walking distance to shops. Driveway in poor condition. Parking spots for each unit could be made clearer.
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (9/5): Enjoyed our stay At the property and we’re able to walk to shops and food outlets. - Location in Coles Bay, cooking and laundry facilities in studio, fire place Mattress was rather hard
- Jill (9/5): Very enjoyable - Great location, fantastic view, private. Clean and comfortable with everything you need WiFi very poor, couldn’t connect
- Ann (10/5): Highly recommend a stay in this comfortable, well-equiped studio - Fantastic location, close to a couple of good food options and a general store for supplies... We stayed in the stone studio 5 Greystone - a clean and roomy studio, with a fabulous well-stocked kitchenette (we appreciated the little extras like olive oil, salt & pepper, etc). Comfy bed, fabulous shower and bonus washing machine and dryer - very cozy and comfortable stay, with the added bonus of a wood fire heater (which included plenty of firewood and some kindling). In all, a wonderful experience Nothing... all good
- Rene (10/5): Wonderful experience. Would book again - Location was excellent, super close to everything we required.
Wonderful view. Great facilities. The slats on the left side of the queen bed were broken. This was already damaged by the time we arrived on the property.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view. Close to everything, very cozy cottage. The fire place warmed the cottage in no time.
- Gregory (7/5): Good - The stunning location, centrally located with access to every important requirement in Coles Bay. The sulphurous smell of the water and the hot water not as hot as I would like .
- Louise (9/5): Lovely view …Very good position close to the shops - Yes very easy
- London (8/5): Very good -
- Paige (7/5): Good - Amazing location with exceptional views. The instructions to get in to the property were clear and straight forward. Very basic set up, for example no fire wood for the fire and only one bed set up even though there are 3 beds in the apartment. Ensure you ask for the number of beds needing set up, the out of hours contact number do not answer and do not reply to voice mails.
- Jo (6/5): Pleasant - the location was amazing with beautiful water and hazard views . clean and tidy . the mattress was extremely uncomfortable a topper would be beneficial. pot holes in driveway .
no wood for wood fire in Autumn.
- Bernie (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Chris (8/5): Enjoyable and relaxing - Hot water pressure in shower.
- Kathy (7/5): Good - We had a great few days but there needs to be enough bowls and plates for the number of guests staying
- Carlin (9/5): awesome - Beautiful views. clean and close to everything.
lovely place to spend a few days. nothing
- Stacy (8/5): great location with beautiful view of coles bay, uncomfortable mattress and disappointing shower - great location with a beautiful view uncomfortable bed and terrible water pressure/temperature control in the shower
- Anonymous (9/5): lovely location and property- would stay again - stunning view to wake up to in the morning. property is well set up and close to shop and eateries
- Linda (9/5): enjoyed our stay. easy to access and close to good offer and icecream. perfect position to view beautiful scenery - very nice cottage with incredible views over the Hazards
everything supplied including little extras in the kitchen steep path to cottage. not good for any injuries or disabilities
- Tolley (10/5): Exceptional - Superb location fantastic views
- Lycette (8/5): Fabulous location with exceptional views of the hazards. - the location is excellent, the property was warm. it was so clean, the tea/coffee/milk was very welcome after a long day out and about didn’t get the right code to access the key from the box. luckily for us your cleaners were there and helped us get in.
- Nishit (9/5): Nice clean place - location , cleanliness price was a tad high
- Libby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harry (8/5): Very comfortable and lovely and warm with the fire place -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice property but could be much better.
Terrible lighting, lacks little touches to make it homely.
No salt despite a fully equipped kitchen.
Very poor folder with local information.
No wifi - I was aware of it - but also the phone signal is poor ... so wifi should be provided in this day and age.
