Great hub to stay and visit the local areas. Lots of things to do, but also perfect for relaxing. Place was spotless and great decor. Can’t say enough great things!

Lovely property leading to a dock and small beach although it wasn’t clear whether the dock was for general use or just for the adjacent cottage.
Linda (10/5): Delightful retreat - This motel reflects a lot if care and attention to detail by the owners. You can sit outside near the water and enjoy the tranquility. The rooms are clean and have an artistic flare. There is a full kitchenette. There is a convenient store a 2 minute walk. Otherwise you have to drive to Bridgewater for restaurants or groceries. A very enjoyable experience.

The lady who greeted us was very friendly and took us to our room. We sat on the deck chairs looking out to the water and someone else staying their was building a camp fire. It was so picturesque. Could not have asked for more, well mabye the room right down on the water.

Lori (10/5): WOW! - This place is absolutely charming! and right on the LaHave river. My boyfriend and I couldnt have found a better place than here. The grounds are very well kept and the cottages are so nicely decorated and cozy. The details from decor to coffee creamer in the fridge were impressive! We felt like we were right at home. It was such a nice treat to relax on the dock during the early evening and then sit around the fire chatting with the other guests. The host, Mark, is very personable and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again! :)

J (10/5): Family Stay at the Lighthouse Motel - The Lighthouse Motel was perfect for us! Our room was lovely, with comfortable new beds. The spacious lawn running down to the river was perfect for watching the tides with a cup of tea, enjoying a bonfire or star gazing. A great spot for dogs to run, and kids to play. My granddaughter enjoyed the playground too. Our host, Marc, was welcoming and had prepared a helpful guide to local beaches and places to eat, which were easily reached by car. Even the convenience store and gas station, a few steps up the road, was a friendly place to get icecream or refuel. The motel is utterly charming, and the service was excellent. Perfect!

Wonderful ambiance...welcoming music for us when we went into our room - just about perfect! Thank you! There was only a small snag as we were in the middle of a heatwave, a few rooms didn't have AC, ours was one of them. Bless Mark though...he looked after us. Thank you SO MUCH! We will certainly be back when in the area again!

The sheets were crisply cleaned and the towels were soft. To top it off, the view was delightful and the service was exceptional. We arrived later in the evening, but I called ahead and was easily accommodated. I HIGHLY recommend this motel.
Richard (8/5): Recommended Accomadation - The Lighthouse Motel was very nice..We were greeted by Marc ,he was very welcoming, pleasant and informative.The rooms were clean ,comfortable and the decor was .nice.The property was well maintained with a lovely veiw over looking the LaHave River.We.were there during the very warm weather in July and our room did not have air conditioning but we were supplied with fans to maintain comfort.We would definitely recommend The Lighthouse Motel.

We stayed in a unit with a full kitchen and it was fully stocked. The decor is beautiful - a lot of thought has gone into the layout as well. The grounds were much larger than I expected. There is a lovely private beach as well as a dock, and plenty of seating spread out around the grounds. My kids enjoyed the play structure. Our host, Marc, was so accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this very special motel.

The rooms have been beautifully upgraded with some unique pieces to add to the overall experience. The rooms are comfortable and contain everything you need to feel at home. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. They even mailed out a book that I forgot while staying there.

We would have appreciated more shelf space and better water pressure in the bathroom, as well as a/c in the room. On the upside, there is a lovely dock with tables and chairs, and even a little beach on the property. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.

As advertised, there is no air conditioning in the motel rooms so it does get quite warm on hot days! Very accommodating and plan to return and get something on the water as the property was beautiful .
Debbie (8/5): - The Motel has been updated, very cozy and felt like home. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of area sites to see. The hotel does not have air conditioner in the rooms. The owner said that was on the list to do soon. We would definitely stay again.
Doreen (8/5): Room 15 - The room was beautifully decorated and beds where clean but it's the only room that is in the basement and they had repaired a leak in the bathroom but it still had marks where it was damp under bathroom tiles which encouraged sowbugs to come out at night. Found 4 when I got up to use in the night. Ugh!! But I would rent any other room I'm sure!! Owners where no where to be found next morning to share this with unfortunately!!!
