It was a bit disappointing as it was a clear night. The complimentary snacks drinks and parfait are a bit limited. The room had not been renovated in a while.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Spa and Great Amenities - This hotel is difficult to reach without a car. The local bus only comes three times a day and the time table may not match up with the trains. However, this hotel was definitely worth the trouble for the amenities alone. The lobby is fully stocked with books and refreshments, and the onsen is very relaxing. If the weather is good, you can see the stars from the outdoor bath. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of healthy options. Would recommend especially for families and couples.

- Chicagomom62 (10/5): Beautiful Remodeled Onsen - I am an American visiting family we stopped by the totally renovated Onsen. The Onsen at the Starlight hotel has set a new high standard . It is simply beautiful, modern and includes many amenities such as free coffee, tea and water. The shampoo, conditioner and body soap is of high quality in the Onsen. There are a variety of indoor pools at clearly listed temperatures. The outside door pool was simply breathtaking. The mountain sceanery is gorgeous and the large pool is modern and roomy. There are also 2 cooling pools outside. There were multiple lounge chairs to just sit and admire the scenery if you chose. There is also clay available for a facial while your in the sauna or steam room. Salt is available in the steam room to exfoliate. All included. The shower room has hair dryer with defusers, scrunch’s for your hair and a crib to place small children while you dress. After the Onsen, you can have lunch or lounge and a large variety of nooks and lounge areas. I love his place and will go back at least 2 more times before I leave Japan. You should definitely visit if you are in Hokkaido Japan.
- John (10/5): Great staff at the hotel - his is a very enjoyable hotel to stay at when in this area. At first its remote location is a problem; but, once you get to the hotel it is a benefit. The staff is wonderful and the hot springs are great and very clean and relaxing to soak in. After we left to go to Sapporo, I discovered that I had left an old red jacket that is dear to me at the Starlight Hotel. The information center at Furano called the Starlight about the lost jacket and the next day it was delivered to our room at the Sapporo Grand Hotel.That is service that needs to be made known to whomever wants a hotel where the staff really cares about their customers.
- 譚小姐 (6/5): - 房間很細很舊，廁所更是以前的超細舊式厠所，完全沒有溫泉旅館的房間設計，房間像住在市區的2星酒店一樣，大浴場都很殘舊，唯獨是晩餐的食品係好味多款不錯，我們是自駕遊的到了洒店門口無人出來迎接，要自己取所有行李去check in及自己搬所有行李上房，之後再詢問reception 車泊在那裡？再自己去泊車，接待處只是幫你check in完之後比鎖匙你就完了，完全沒有再理會客人，沒有介紹酒店設施，所以一定不會再入住此酒店

- SangHyun (8/5): 최선의 노력을 다하는 호텧 - 홋카이도 지역 지진으로 인한 대정전 사태임에도 호텔에서는 고객들의 편의를 위해 최선을 다해주었습니다. 자연 재해로 인한 상황이라 어쩔 수 없었지만 호텔측의 노력과 배려 덕분에 무사히 여행을 마치고 돌아왔습니다.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 温泉はとても満足しています。乳児連れでしたが、バスチェアなどもあり、助かりました。エコノミータイプの部屋が狭く、トランクを広げるスペースがなかったのが残念でした。
- Jae (8/5): - One of old hotel connected with Ashibetsu Onsen. The buffet was wonderful and values more more than the cost. Kind staff but they done't speak English.
- 770estellal (8/5): Comfortable stay - The hotel staff was very pleasant and polite. We liked the onsen which offered pools of different degree of temperatures ranging from ice water to very hot 45 degrees. Food was average good. The weather was cloudy but we were glad to see some stars at night.
- Joanna (8/5): Hotel with very nice surrounding, Onsen - Hotel staffs are very friendly, only issue is they only speaks Japanese. However, they tried their very best to communicate with us. Nice Onsen, not so crowded. Have a session on star watching, only complaint is the session is not conducted in English. Room a bit small but very comfortable. We did not try any of their food as we only stayed for one night.

- MINJUN (10/5): Great hotel with excellent surrounding - A great hotel overall. We checked in at night and had to eat at the hotel restaurant as there was no other choice given the hotel's remote location. Our dinner here turned out to be the best during the entire 5-day trip. The hot spring was excellent, rich in sulphur. Our only complaint is the old a/c that rattled all night. Maybe time for replacement.
- mybeagle2003 (10/5): Nice onsen hotel with wonderful food - Located in a quiet area, this onsen hotel offered the best food throughout my hokkaido stay compared to the other onsen hotels i stayed in. Dinner was a set course consisting of many delicately presented and delicious dishes. Room was also of a good size and comfortable, with free wifi available in the rooms. I managed to catch a firework show about a 10 min drive away, check with the reception if there are any such shows available when visiting.
