- 982doreenp (2/5): Disaster holiday with hidden cost that has not been refunded. PC Boutique H Napoi you should not be allowed to operate - Hidden cost changing address of hotel after taking taxi to address on itinerary. Hotel deposit £200.00 before you can be given room details, still not yet refunded. wasted an entire day going backwards and forward trying to sort out accommodation which we paid for and was given the address of, them telling us they have the right to change accommodation information. We had to pay for another taxi to get to different accommodation, it was so distressing and scary, as it was night time before we got sorted out.
- Andrew (2/5): - The room you “booked” is not what you get. You get instructions on what to do. Once you do the instructions and go to your accommodation there is a separate sign and QR code that says this is the wrong place, you have to go somewhere else to get your actual instructions. It’s a bit of a scam/ game. I met other people who were at the reception (Turkish guy who I helped translate what was going on) who said the same thing but there was nothing any of us could do about it. There’s a cleaning fee they also charge you in cash only because they don’t want record of it (separate of the tourist/ hotel tax). They say it’s a combination of both. Worst part is Expedia knows of this and the agent on live chat told me Expedia can’t do anything about this scam. I took some videos and photos of how dirty and bad this place is but Expedia doesn’t seem to care either. There are other reviews saying the same thing as this too upon further review. If Expedia cared they would have done something about this already. Avoid this place at all costs.

- James (2/5): There was no hotel. They want 300€ for a pre paid - It was a disaster. There was no hotel. Just an office where they wanted 300€ more. Flag. They only took cash. This is for a previously paid in full hotel room. They would not disclose where the hotel was until you paid. There is no telling where i would have been sent. Probably a dump hostel instead of the 3☆ hotel I paid for. It was almost 21:00, in the slums of Napoli, I had luggage and no where to go. Back to the train station to Caserta. A beautiful place. That whole affair was a scam. Stay clear, I was not the only one. There were several of us in that boat. Scam.

- Wander53895067721 (2/5): Choose another hotel group in Naples - If you can, go to another hotel chain and not Clapa Group. They advertise a beautiful hotel with a sea view, we booked and found out later, on arrival, that we were given another room of lesser quality and with no sea view. On Booking they don't mention anything, but on arrival at the hotel where they concentrate the check-in of the various hotels in the hotel group, they charge 200 euros as a deposit and say they'll return it in 15 to 30 working days, which I think is a scandal, and we're forced to accept it or they won't give us the password to access the room we've already paid for, as well as charging city taxes, they also charge cleaning fees, even if it turns out, as it did in our case, that the toilet seat had faeces left on it from previous customers. The reception is in a different location to the group's hotels. They don't escort people to their rooms, they receive people coldly and without sympathy, as if it were a serial check-in. If you don't look it up yourself on the internet, you're not given enough information about the location of the hotel, which, moreover, is not the one we booked. The check-in process is complicated, it involves scanning a QR code and checking in online, as well as making payments and paying a deposit never seen before in a hotel, then you have to look for the hotel and make sure you don't lose the paper with the access codes to the hotel building and the hotel room. I wouldn't go there if I'd known the conditions beforehand.

The staff are horrible, the actual location is nowhere near where it is listed on the map, they want a€200 deposit which I’ve seen people struggle to get back, on top of this over €100 in other fees, they only accepted cash and did not give me proof of payment, the rooms are disgusting, not at all what is listed. I came here on a solo trip and was ripped off and the staff are in on it to take as much money from you as possible!!! They were horrible horrible horrible and I woke up early one morning to find my door was OPEN! Very unsafe area and staff do not care.

I couldn't find the check in address to check out and the process was a bit daunting. There were many people who were unaware of the requirement to provide a EU200 security deposit that would not be refunded until two weeks after checking out and were upset about the rule.

- christopherdX4444CE (2/5): Bed Bugs and no Deposit! Best Avoided - They tried to charge me an extra €40, claiming I was trying to book late/out of hours, when I was booking in during normal hours. I was unable to check in on the 1st booked day due to a late flight, however checking-in the next day during normal working hours along with everyone else does not warrant a late fee. I had to sign a rental contract before being allowed to check in. This cant be legal as I have already paid via Expedia, and so I have no option, if I didn't accept the contract I would be out of pocket and I would have no-where to stay. The Expedia listing did not provide the contract details before making the booking. Bed bugs - I was badly bitten the 1st night, I took photos and videos of the bugs and long and short hairs (pubic?) (not mine) hidden at the bottom of the bed and on the other side of the bed, where I do not sleep, the bed had only been made up and not cleaned before my arrival. I spoke to the manager who dismissed my claim, they did eventually change my room. I was forced to pay a €200 euro deposit. 18th working day later, multiple emails and I have not been refunded. I was forced to pat €150 for local tax and ??? I was unable to question this due to the language barrier and chaotic office, again if I don't pay I don't have a hotel. Avoid these people like bed bugs!

They told me I would have to pay 40 euros to check in late (which is almost the cost of a whole extra night) and I saw reviews which said you have to pay 200 euro deposit which it seems most people have struggled to get back. Decided to cut my losses and cancelled.

- charlottecF7107UF (2/5): It’s a scam, outrageous hidden fees, and the worst welcome to Naples - Do not book this hotel or any of the attached hotels part of the ClapPa Group. I had a horrible experience trying to check-in to a room that I had booked with Opodo/ Edreams. The check-in for the room was at a different destination and I was left queuing and standing on the pavement for a whole hour, whilst they let people one at a time and locked the door each time. It was the opposite of a welcoming experience. Finally being able to speak to a representative, I was told that I needed to pay an extra £200 for insurance on the room that would be returned in 40 working days!? And another £60 of additional costs of cleaning fees etc (again another hidden cost) which I won’t be getting back. At the same time an Italian couple were complaining that they had stayed at this accommodation 3 months ago and still hadn’t received their insurance back! So altogether I had to pay £260, £200 of which I had no idea if I would see again?? I couldn’t believe it! I felt like it was a scam and many others in the queue to check in also felt so and left. But this meant losing my accommodation and the money I had already paid towards it in my booking through Opodo! I was left looking for an alternate accommodation by myself in a place I didn’t know. It was the worst way to start my holiday. This is a warning, not to book any hotels and rooms hosted by the Clapha group on Naples, I don’t want you to go through the same booking stress that I went through. Charlotte

- will (2/5): - I booked the day before. After locating the property from a back alley. Standing at the 3rd floor doorway, there was only a locked door and a qr code to scan. No staff, no reception, nothing. A staff member happened to arrive and unlocked the door but refused me entry. It was about 12:30 and she communicated 3pm check in. I tried to convey that my phone could not access the qr link and asked if i could leave my 50 kilos of baggage. I was told no, which is very unusual. I returned at 3 pm to find the exterior doors to the building closed and locked. I buzzed, called the # for assistance, attempted to message, without success. There is no onsite staff or assistance. Later at another accommodation and with wifi assistance, I located emails regarding remote check in procedure (probably what the qr link would have explained, if I'd had wifi to be able to access it). All staff, reception, and service are not on site and are remote. I was not aware I was required to access email, to check in. This process is new to me, foreign and frustrating. I've requested a refund and this is the 3rd day that I have not seen an email reply. Good thing this email reply isn't the check in process, it wouldn't have arrived until after my stay is over!

Especially one receptionist was super rude, she told us bye bye go, once we cancelled our stay. Finalement ce n'est pas un hotel mais un b&b dans une colocation, une chambre à l'aspect propre, mais en fait pas dutout, à part les serviettes, au dessus de la chambre une fete de l'appartement au dessus j'ai cru assister à un concert de shakira en direct... bref. Je suis decue de P.C. Boutique H. Napoli Centro et du site internet hotels.com. C'est une honte, une arnaque. Mon ami et moi sommes parti à la première heure pour partir au plus vite de cet endroit.

I messaged the company directly prior to even staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, I had no other choice but to stay as I had already reserved the room. The company responded to my concern by blaming me for booking with them. They didn’t care about who received their deposits or not, and they could not answer why they need to hold deposits for so long after guests have checked out. They even referred to customers as greedy because they could book the hotel cheaply. This leads me to believe that the deposit is intentionally treated as additonal income for them. This company does not return your $200 security deposit. They also make it their policy to intentionally hold your deposit for 15 to 30 working days. Why would a company need to hold your deposit that long? Most likely, this is the time needed for you to not to be able to dispute the charge with the bank. - Maximilian (2/5): - Ich war äußerst unzufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel aus mehreren Gründen: 1. **Falsche Preisangaben**: Der Zimmerpreis, der bei Expedia angegeben war, betrug 144 € für 2 Nächte pro Zimmer. Ich hatte zwei Zimmer gebucht und bei Expedia bereits 98,38 € pro Zimmer bezahlt. Laut Expedia sollte ich im Hotel noch 46 € pro Zimmer bezahlen. Vor Ort musste ich jedoch für ein Zimmer 303 € und für das andere 263,72 € bezahlen, wobei in beiden Beträgen 200 € Kaution enthalten sind. Ohne die Kaution hätte ich nur noch 92 € zahlen müssen, tatsächlich habe ich aber 166,72 € bezahlt – eine Differenz von 74,72 €, die mir zu viel berechnet wurden. 2. **Falsche Adresse**: In meiner Reisebestätigung wurde die Adresse Piazza Giovanni Bovio 22, scala B, 80133 Naples, Italien angegeben. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass unsere Zimmer 20 Minuten entfernt von dieser Adresse lagen. Dies ist äußerst irreführend, da ich das Hotel aufgrund seiner zentralen Lage gewählt hatte und nun jedes Mal ein Taxi nehmen oder 20 Minuten länger laufen musste. 3. **Schlechter Zustand der Zimmer**: In den Bädern herrschte ein widerlicher Geruch, der aus den Abflüssen kam, was den Aufenthalt sehr unangenehm machte. Ich kann dieses Hotel aufgrund der falschen Preisangaben, der irreführenden Adresse und des schlechten Zustands der Zimmer keineswegs empfehlen. Ich hoffe, dass zukünftige Gäste durch meine Erfahrungen vorgewarnt sind und eine bessere Wahl treffen können.

Wir waren um 8:45 vor Ort da die Reception um 21:00 nicht mehr besetzt ist. Zwei weitere Engländer versuchten auch ihr Glück aber auch sie mussten ohne Hotel gehen. Ich habe angerufen, jedoch hat sich telefonisch niemand gemeldet. 21:08 kam eine What’s App mit einem Link bei dem ich online einchecken kann aber jedeoch 200 Euro Garantie hinterlegen muss. Obwohl ich mein Zimmer schon bezahlt habe. Auch wir mussten ein anderes Hotel suchen. Das Geld für die Nacht ist wohl verloren und damit das niemanden sonst passiert geht dahin nicht. Schlimmstes Erlebnis kann es noch immer nicht fassen. So sollten Ferien nicht anfangen.

In tutti i casi provo a fare il check-in online ma alla fine del tutto mi richiede una cifra di prenotazione anche più alta della prenotazione stessa già pagata. Quindi obbligato ad andare in sede prima di raggiungere la struttura per completare il check-in. Una volta fatto il tutto leggendo il termine del check in ci accorgiamo che da piazza Bovio in oriento centro siamo stati spostasti in piazza mercato, due zone che messe a confronto sono il bianco e nero senza nulla togliere a Piazza Mercato. Ovviamente sempre un b&b e non Hotel con tutti i servizi annessi di una struttura che si chiami Hotel.
- Elysabeth (2/5): Traveler, Beware! - Be warned: This hotel is not located at the address it claims. If you get there, they direct you to the "annex location" which you need a code to enter. They don't give you the code, and when you text them, they want to send you to a THIRD location. All of this in busy, downtown Napoli where driving is difficult. The locations are half a mile apart, so walking isn't a good option either. The people who run the restaurant next to the second location said that they are the only hotel in Napoli who behaves like this. We ended up just giving up and leaving town because the third location was just to get information for the second location, and we'd had enough. Now the hotel won't refund the room we never even got to see!

Esta informação não havia sido previamente comunicada, o que já começou a causar transtornos. Além disso, o apartamento citado na reserva não foi o mesmo onde fui hospedado. A localização do novo apartamento ficava em uma área completamente diferente da anunciada, e a distância entre os dois locais era significativa. Esse desvio inesperado resultou em uma demora absurda para chegar ao apartamento correto, gerando uma série de constrangimentos. Fui forçado a gastar tempo e dinheiro adicionais com transporte, o que não estava previsto no meu orçamento. Além dos gastos desnecessários, a mudança repentina de local impactou o tempo de viagem, criando um estresse adicional. Toda a situação foi mal gerenciada, evidenciando uma falta de organização e comunicação por parte da administração do local. Essa experiência lamentável comprometeu seriamente a qualidade da minha estadia e deixou uma impressão muito negativa do serviço oferecido.

Nachdem ich ihr erklärt habe das ich die Reise gezahlt hatte sollte ich 200€ Pfand mit der Kredit zahlen die ich wohl in 14 Tage zurück erhalten soll wenn alles in Ordnung ist. Ich habe ein Video mit Datum Uhrzeit bei der Abfahrt gemacht, wenn ich die 200€ in den nächsten 14 Tagen nicht zurück erhalte werde ich rechtlich dagegen vorgehen und die Öffentlichkeit im Fernsehen darüber informieren !!!!!!! Nie wieder diesen Stress bei dem Check in, andere aus England haben gar kein Zimmer bekommen und andere haben anstatt ein Zimmer ein Boot erhalten.

Andre bekjente fikk svært dårlig rom.
- AV (6/5): - La struttura non è un hotel classico, ma si tratta di un’ala di un piano di un immobile che è stata adibita alla ricezione turistica. Il check-in si effettua in un altro edificio non distante, in cui il personale ti accoglie e ti indica come procedere per registrarti autonomamente e pagare il deposito cauzionale. Lo stabile in cui abbiamo soggiornato è sicuramente molto bello, antico, di pregio, situato in posizione particolarmente comoda e centrale, ideale per visitare la città. La camera spaziosa e luminosa, ben arredata, letto confortevole, minifrigo. Mancano però un bollitore elettrico e accessori per prepararsi un tè. L’unico vero punto negativo è la scarsissima pulizia! E ci aggiungo anche la manutenzione inesistente (la tenda della finestra rotta, il piatto doccia che perdeva acqua, etc). Manca l’attenzione ai dettagli ed è un vero peccato poiché la struttura, se fosse più pulita e meglio mantenuta, sarebbe davvero un’ottima soluzione per un soggiorno nella splendida Napoli. Altro aspetto controverso: il deposito cauzionale di ben 200€ viene restituito 30 giorni dopo il check-out. Il giudizio complessivo è comunque 3/5 con le critiche costruttive di cui sopra che, se prese in considerazione, ci auguriamo possano far migliorare la qualità del servizio di questa struttura.

Etliche Telefonversuche landeten auf deren Combox; irgendeine Firmengruppe. Keine Chance Menschen anzutreffen.

Le camere non sono in hotel, ma sono degli appartamenti senza reception. Il servizio di accoglienza è stato rapido e cordiale. Lenzuola di alta qualità non molto vero e il lenzuolo copri materasso copriva a malapena il materasso, che veniva facilmente scoperto. Accessori per te/caffè non presenti e neanche servizio in camera. Rubinetti abbastanza scrostati. Si sente tutto tra una camera e quella affianco.

Presenza di muffa nella doccia e porte macchiate da non si sa cosa, con ciò la stanza risulta sporca e poco curata. Cauzione di 200 €, inutile, anche perché cosa si potrebbe mai rovinare in un “”””hotel””” che di per se sta già cadendo a pezzi?

Second, there were 3 ladies at reception, they let us do the check-in on tablet, which didnt work. Then we had to wait for like 30 minutes until they finally did all the work needed, with faces lime we were burden. They took 5€ for cleaning, i had seen many rooms, however this wasnt clean at all. And there were some bugs in bathroom, i didnt take a picture of. I wouldnt recommend this experience from the begining until the end. At he end they took the deposit from our card. I dont know why, hopefully i would get the answer tommorow. I would recommend to hire new staff - at reception and also to clean.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Wouldnt say its a hotel - Booking expecting 3 stars, on arrival at the reception was surprised that it is 4 stars and then disappointed when you actually get into the room which is more like 2 stars. The reception staff was lovely and the actual hotel(?) is on one floor of a seaparate building. What disappointed me was the room is literally bare minimum (dont even have kettle or cups for tea and coffee) and the shower door was falling apart. It also change towels every 3 days. Good side is its quite close to city centre and good resturants around as well as a working air con and fridge.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location, good service and cheap - First and formost, the service is amazing at this hotel. Also, you can't get a hotel this good and cheap in such a great location with walking distance to both Centro Storico and Quartieri Spagnoli. The rooms are slightly above okay, but it is as said, cheap, so nothing negative about that, you get what you pay for and nothing is bad. Just don't expect a luxary hotel. I would stay here again!

- Malcolm (4/5): - Would not class this as a boutique hotel. Toilet seat loose. Shower door cracked. Cup and saucer provided but no spoons. Plug for kettle would not fit into the socket without taking something else out.
- Andrew (6/5): Great room and Bed, BUT NOT A HOTEL!!! - First things first...this is not a hotel, but rather a company that has a floor in a large colonial style building. There are not 69 rooms, For example, you need a paper map, provided at reception, to find the rooms (seriously!).
- Jonathan (8/5): - Beautiful high ceiling room in a good location. Extra beds were already laid out for my 2 young children. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Our room was in a block a short walk from the building the reception is in, but this was fine.

- Sybil (4/5): Passable - Hôtel pas trop mal situé dans Naples . Cependant, nous étions réveillé tous les matins à 8h par la femme se ménage qui passait l’aspirateur dans le couloir. Les hôtesses d’accueil était loin d’être agréable et le ménage dans la chambre n’était pas idéal !

Los controles del aire y del TV tendrian que controlar el baterias porque no funsionan bien. La habitacion amplia y con un fingido design pero funsional al uso. Podría mejorar mas y ganarse 5★
- Verified traveler (2/5): warning of SCAM PRISE - at the check in we need to pay deposit 200€ with ONLY CREDIT CARD what we had they didn’t accept at all and finally we need to pay double with cash. not only us, other guest had also same situation. The staff especially a BOSSY woman is unimaginable rude

The staff are great, One minor thing, on the site, it would be nice if they made it clear the address for guests to register is not at the actual hotel. They send an email but this info is not boldly pointed out within the other info. I love this hotel though.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check-In is in another building but it's easy to find and the check-in itself was easy as well. They said there's a shuttle to the actual bilduing but it wasn't. Nevertheless it was a short walk to the hotel. Use earplugs to sleep because you can hear everything. Someone also rang the bell three nights in a row. Really annoying tbh. I wanted to sleep but couldn't because it was so loud. The shower doors were not the newest. It was a daily fight to close them and the shower itself needs some renovating. All in all we had a dpacious room and it was alright location was also very good!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is centrally located very convenient to Metro. Elevator was fun... its the shape of a hall deep and thin. Place was super clean. We left our bags after check out to enjoy the last few hours in Napoles. The only inconvenience we had was the metro stop was closed for the day and reception was awesome and called us a shuttle to the train station. A place that will take your worries away. - Verified traveler (10/5): - I think that this place is perfect..you can easily visit Naples either on foot or by the taking the metro which is just a few meters away. Our room was spacious and we had everything we needed. The bed linen and towels were of a very good quality. The place was perfectly clean and the windows which overlooked the main street were soundproof. We will definitively came back here whenever we visit Naples again.
- Tanmay (8/5): - The rooms were good enough and spacious. Looks recently renovated from the inside. The reception which is in another building ~250 meters from the building we stayed in. The location central and close to a lot of the attractions. One note - I received a call from the hotel a day before my travel to confirm my arrival time and in the call the lady suggested the metro line from the Napoli Centrale station to the Universita station was closed and suggested that I take a cab or their pick up service instead. Ended up taking the pick up service, which I was planning on taking anyway, but the metro line was not closed. It was fully operational on the day and the simple lie to sell a service should not have been told.
- Roger (8/5): mixed feelings - a lot of trouble to get the key as the "check in counter" is located about 200 meters from the actual (closed) entrance of the building in which the rooms are allocated. Packing a car is a real pain... and a costly one; However the building is beautiful though the environment is noisy, the room itself is quite good.

- Brie-Ashli (2/5): - We were delayed on our flight so we contacted the hotel and they wanted to charge us €46 for a late check in. So we found another hotel for €35 and therefore stayed in the alternative. Also when called lines were horrific and language barrier was very strong. Not impressed at all.
- kiara (10/5): Amazing hotel - Was amazing stay. Stayed for 2 days and was very happy. Very helpful with transport from airport and to station. Very friendly staff. Overall would recommend this place. It is very close to many sites and 15 minutes from the beach which was great.
