They really could fulfill the guests need . 100% recommend We stayed for 2 nights , 28 to 30 April 2025 the staff is overwhelmingly praised across multiple review platforms. Guests consistently describe them as exceptionally friendly, welcoming, helpful, attentive, and always smiling. This seems to be a standout feature of the hotel. excellent value for money considering the service, location, and amenities. Its quiet location provides a peaceful escape from city noise. It's within walking distance (approx. 10minutes) to the trendy Nimman Haemin area, MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, and Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Centre.

The hotel is located in a quiet area which was welcoming, away from the hustle and bustle. The staff at Sabai Sabai went out of their way to make sure I was well looked after. • Elizabethtaylor59 (10/5): Peaceful retreat in Nimman - We stumbled upon some great reviews of this hotel and visited to check it out. We were impressed from moment of arrival. Beautiful, peaceful location up a tree filled soi well away from the busy road. We were met by a lovely gentleman who was gracious and kind. Nothing was too much trouble, we were provided with the costing and was also shown a room before making decision to book in. Check in was smooth. Room we were booked into large, bright and had a great vista out to trees and clear view of mountains. Shower has amazing pressure, good lighting and loved the magnifying mirror. Bed was hard but good for back . Breakfast included in price and an okay array of foods on offer. Pool lovely and there is also great gym. Location brilliant, easy walk to heart of Nimman and there is good eateries in close proximity. Overall we enjoyed and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Nimman . Thanks for hosting us.

• 244humphreyc (10/5): Sabai Sabai Chiang Mai Goes Beyond Comfortable! - We loved the peace and serenity of this Hotel/Residence that was a 10 minute walk from the Nimman area of Chiang Mai. The room was clean, luxurious and absolutely comfortable, and staff were very friendly and informative. We will return next year!
• SpencerCPA (10/5): Lovely old hotel in quiet location - Sabai Sabai Chiang Mai is a delight hotel built in the British Colonial style. It's comfortable and welcoming. The staff is outstanding, they really go out of their way to help their guests. A short walk from Nimman Street, it's located on a very quiet alley. Rooms have Juliet balconies with sliding doors that open. We used the swimming pool every afternoon (albeit there are not enough lounge chairs and pool towels set out to accommodate many guests at the same time). After four nights, we definitely want to return.
• Suphawadee (10/5): - I booked two rooms here for five adults and a toddler. The hotel is very vintage and stunning to look at. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is cool considering how hot it can be in Thailand and we used that everyday. The hotel is in a quiet street but still walking distance to the Maya Mall and restaurants so you have the best of both worlds. Stayed for four days and will stay again next time 😊

• unprecious (10/5): Quiet gem near Nimman area - 100% loved this extended stay at Sabai Sabai. The hotel is an old colonial style building at the end of an L-shaped lane, far enough away from the main road to be quiet, but still a few minutes walk away, and feels safe as there's a few shops and hotels along the lane. The staff were always friendly and helpful. You can walk to the busy and trendy cafe area in Nimman in about 10 minutes (just have to be familiar with the advanced art of crossing roads in this part of the world - but it's only one road to cross, albeit four lanes). You can also walk to the nearby Maya mall, which is full of shops, restaurants, two food courts, and an expat-friendly supermarket. There's also some nicer lowkey neighborhoods, mostly locals with a good mix of farangs, if you walk towards Santham road. It's about 10 minutes drive to central Chiang Mai. Can be busy at night to get to and from the night bazaar area - about 20 minutes.
• davidmW3628KA (8/5): A lovely hotel - On the plus side the hotel is lovely and very clean. The rooms are large and the location is very quiet down a lovely soi. The staff are polite and efficient if not particularly friendly. The downside from our perspective was the rock hard bed and pillows. By western standards they were very very hard. Wifi was spotty and we moved rooms as it was non existent on the 3rd floor room. Overall, if they could add a topper layer to the bed, we would definitely stay there again.

• TVR52 (10/5): Serene Sanctuary in the midst of Chiang Mai - A serene, comfortable sanctuary nestled in a mostly residential lane. Lots of interesting pieces of memorabilia decorating the hotel. Service was friendly and warm. Breakfast was refreshing and sufficient start our day. On top of that, the price is very reasonable and good value.
• Lena (8/5): Good hotel, but rooms not soundproof - We stayed at Sabai Sabai for a week and overall we enjoyed our stay. We liked the location because it is not in the busy city center but close to cool area Nimman. The hotel is nice and the rooms are clean. Also there is a nice gym and a beautiful pool (however only three sun beds). Unfortunetly in the room we could hear our neighbours quite loud as well as music in the hallways in the morning. Overall I can recommend the hotel, good price for value Ratio - if you are not too sensitive to noise.

• chayotp (10/5): Happy Stay in Chiang Mai - Hotel is very nice, colonial stay and not far from Nimman area. Service is also good. Swimming pool is really relax. Quite area. Price is not expensive. Hope to have a chance to revisit again soon krab.
• R176PDnikkis (10/5): Outstanding family stay! - Our stay here was exceptional. The moment we arrived we were treated with the highest level of customer service. Everyone was very polite and they even greeted our children by their first names which made them feel so welcome. The room was immaculate and the daily clean was welcomed. The beds were very comfortable with a fantastic en suit attached. Our room over looked the pool at the front of the hotel allowed a quite dip after a busy day in Nimman. Breakfast was lovely, and varied. Again, the staff were so helpful changing the menu to suit our needs- we were so grateful.
• ROB (10/5): - Beautiful property so nicely furnished. Felt like a top end hotel. Devastating for this hotel, and the Chiangmai Mai area, to be suffering such a drop in tourism. This hotel deserves a full recovery in tourism and a lot more. We enjoyed our 5 days so much we extended another 3. Because of the post pandemic period, the hotel was not readily offering dining - only by request.
• 97GordonH (10/5): Great boutique hotel in a convenient location. - My wife and I stayed at this boutique hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The decor of the hotel was really nice and the rooms were clean. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main road, so the hotel is very quiet, but also has access to nearby shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we’ve find ourselves in Chiang Mai.
• W2830RIpeterh (10/5): Very comfortable and quiet - I stayed four nights at this comfortable hotel. Reception staff were very attentive and give me good advice regarding a road driving trip to the north and east of Chiang Mai. Went to Phrao was which as lovely a road trip as one could hope for once outside of Chiang Mai. The room was great and there was a good choice of satellite TV. A little balcony facing west was lovely in the late afternoon. Away from the main road so no traffic noise. The only very slight drawback was that the hotel was not particularly central but Grab taxis cost £1.50 $2 so it was hardly an issue. ~quite close to Maya shopping plaza and a very good Starbucks. I strongly recommend Thongjan Tamna (Tom) and Untouched Thailand if you want an experienced local guide. He was a monk for 18 years so was full of knowledge around the Buddhist faith and we did a dawn trip to one of the major temples and a local market tour.

The room included a gorgeous balcony and the staff were all so attentive. The only drawback was the breakfast was quite limited - needed more veggie/vegan options. Also no other food/snack options.

The ONLY suggestion I have is to perhaps vary the breakfast on offer from day to day. We stayed 5 days and 5 breakfasts that were mostly the same was a bit repetative. • Eva (8/5): An amazing holiday. - The Sabai Sabai was beautifully furnished , comfortable and convenient .The staff were friendly and helpful . There were a few idiosyncrasies with service which overall all added to the charm. There was no information in our room either written or on the TV. Most of the channels were in Thai and a couple in French before we found the BBC in English. According to the signs the swimming pool was on the second floor but when we went there we found that it was actually separate from the hotel building on top of the carpark with no connection from the hotel building. To get to the pool we had to return to the ground floor , walk across the car park and go up two lots of steps to get to the second level again. However we really enjoyed our stay with our son and daughter in law staying there too. We were close to the Niman area with plenty of cafes of various types and fashion shops as well as being reasonably close to the large Maya Mall. Many of the cafes and attractions were within easy walking distance. We began our stay in the old city part of Chang Mai so the location of the Sabai Sabai complemented this very well being in the more modern part. We had an amazing holiday.

• Richard (6/5): Good and bad - The hotel looks beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Little things are lacking though e.g. the clocks aren't set, the AC clock needs setting before it works, no possibility of any extra time for a late checkout etc. Very quick to charge for a broken cup (fair enough, I suppose.) Good and bad. Overall, well worth the price.
• ALESSANDRA (6/5): Great service, uncomfortable beds, smelly room - This hotel has the potential to be great and it felt short of expectations. The staff is probably the nicest hotel staff that I have encountered, they really try to help you with any questions and excursions you may want to take. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and our first room on the 3rd floor smelled terrible. The staff explained they have a problem with plumbing on the 3rd floor and changed us to the 4th floor. The breakfast options are limited and there is no room service. The location is ok as the hotel is located down an alleyway. Taxis have difficulty finding it. However, you can still walk to Ninmam Road, which is 15/20 minutes away and there is a shopping center nearby where you can buy food to keep in the room.
