The location is unique, most of the ancient sights are within a few hundred meters. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and received much more attention than we expected.

• Carmella (9/5): This was an all around great location - Our stay at Residenza Gens Julia was lovely, especially for our first time in Rome. Urszula upgraded our room for the first night since it was available. The location was great for exploring the city, and we appreciated the elevator, the shower with plenty of hot water, and the self-serve breakfast, which was ample to start our day. We thought that the price was high for a guest house at well over $300 per night at the end of April but, to be honest, I did not do a comparison. I booked based on reviews and an AI check. Next time I will be a bit more diligent about that.

The host, Ursula, is just a wonderful, positive, helpful and smiley person. Her son was also very kind and helpful. I highley recommend this place if you would like a big room with a great view in the centre of Rome. The breakfast was «self-serve», with all the normal things you need for breakfast. You just helped yourselfe and got the things you wanted from the fridge. Very clean. I would definetly stay here if I visit Roma again. Would like a bigger fridge in the room for cold drinks and things. And maybe a door into the shower

Urszula est la meilleure hôte que nous ayons rencontré depuis que nous voyageons. Elle est attentionnée avec ses clients et d une extrême gentillesse. La prestation est bien au delà de ce que l on attendait. La résidence est idéalement placée, dans le centre historique, au milieu de tous les sites importants de ROME ( Panthéon, fontaine de Trevi, VATICAN, Chateau St Anne, Forum Romain, Mont palatin, Coliseum, Basilique Maria Majeure, etc etc.., Également idéal pour le shopping. Tout peut être fait a pied. La literie est très très confortable et on y dort très bien. La résidence est parfaitement entretenue et très propre. Le petit déjeuner est très diversifié (il y a de tout) et les fruits toujours frais. Les chambres sont belles, spacieuses et climatisées. Le wifi fonctionne très bien. Rien a signaler

Te ofrece de todo e incluso después de un día volver y tener la posibilidad de beber una birra o un vino allí mismo era excepcional. Está muy cerca de todo y las vistas a las ruinas romanas son muy bonitas. Llegas a todo andando y las parada de bus y tranvía están al lado también. Repetiré si vuelvo..la moneda ya está echada! Nada

• Knight (10/5): Personal, warm, genuine and authentic Roma! - The hosts are *wonderful*!!! So warm, generous, and kind, and made our landing in Rome a breeze. We deeply appreciated being able to access our rooms early, and were set up in every way to head out and enjoy our first day. Location was amazing - we walked to everything, but it's literally steps from the Pantheon and other ruins are literally across the street and just outside your window. I'd stay again without question. I wasn't able to figure out the heat, but am positive the hosts would have helped me if I had asked. I was too tired to care much and went to sleep just fine.

• Erica (10/5): Excellent stay, great location and hosts - The hotel is in the perfect location, we were walkable to so many restaurants and cafes. It is less than 1 minute walk to a taxi stand so you can easily get anywhere in Rome. The room was large and clean and the hosts are wonderful. When I told the hosts that my son loves the cats at Largo Argentina, they upgraded us for free to a room with a view of the cats. He was delighted. We had our own key so could come and go as we pleased. The hotel had everything we needed for our stay and we enjoyed it very much.

The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of Rome, making it incredibly easy to explore all the major attractions on foot. Breakfast each morning was lovely, with fresh options that set us up for the day. But what truly made our stay so special was Ursula and her sons. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure that every moment of our trip was wonderful. We will definitely choose Residenza Gens Julia again the next time we come to Rome. I genuinely wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Highly, highly recommended! Demie & Loris
• Olga (10/5): - הכל!! מיקום מנצח! הכל במרחק הליכה של 10-15 דק ניקיון ברמה, כל יום מנקים כמו בבית מלון ומחליפים מגבות ומצעים. הדירה ישנה עם אופי ומתוחזקת ברמה, אין בעיה מים חמים, אמבטיה ענקית, מיטות נוחות. והמארחת פשוט מהממת! אישה סופר נחמדה, כל בקשה נענית במיידי. יש מטבחון קטן עם ארוחת בוקר, ביצים, גבינות, קצת עגבניות. לא צריך יותר. יש מלא עוגיות ויוגורטים ועוגות וקורנפלקס, חלב ומבחר מיצים. היתי עם 2 מתבגרים והם היו מרוצים. מאוד מאוד מומלץ! כלום
• gertrude (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen - Die Unterkunft liegt zentral, ist sehr gemütlich und sauber. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist reichlich und man kann sich auch tagsüber am Kühlschrank bedienen. Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig erreichbar. Genügend Lokale in der Nähe. Es wäre schön wenn ein deutschsprachiger TV-Sender zu empfangen wäre.

• Christine (10/5): Wonderful stay at Gens Julia! - Everything about this accommodation is perfect! Ursula is so welcoming - she does everything to make check in easy for you! We had a beautiful room overlooking the ruins - the room was quite spacious and very quiet at night. The residence has a well stocked breakfast/snack room with tons of choices that help to start your day. The location is perfect - you can walk to any of the sites quite easily and there are tons of restaurants and shopping very close. You are treated like family here - which is why this was our second stay at Gens Julia. Love everything about this place!
• Tzvi (5/5): - המקום פשוט מושלם – מיקום נהדר, נקי מאוד, ומעל הכול – המארחת הייתה מדהימה, אדיבה ושירותית בצורה יוצאת דופן! עם זאת, חשוב לציין שהחדר שקיבלנו פנה לפאטיו פנימי, ומשם עלו ריחות מאוד לא נעימים ממנדפים של מסעדות וחנויות האוכל למטה. זה היה קצת מחניק ולעיתים פגע בתחושת הנוחות בחדר. מלבד זאת, הכול היה באמת מצוין, ואני בטוח שעם טיפול בעניין הזה – המקום יהיה מושלם לגמרי.

• Guy (10/5): A fantastic choice right in the heart of Rome - A lovely large room with a view that is almost impossible to beat. The owners are absolutely fantastic and could not do enough for us. The breakfast is self service and very generous with a lot of choices and available all day as is the honesty bar. Nothing for me it was great, it is in the centre of Rome so maybe noisy for some and is a guesthouse not a hotel

• shijie (10/5): - This is hands down the best hotel I stayed at in Rome—it totally made my trip there awesome. Julia’s the nicest, most thoughtful host I’ve ever had. The room’s clean and super cozy, and the location’s unbeatable—you can walk to all the nearby spots easily. Breakfast is great too: you can make your own bread, boil eggs, brew coffee, and help yourself to milk or juice. Plus, there are yummy pizza and pasta places right downstairs. Honestly, it was perfect all around, and I totally recommend staying here!

• Schmidt (9/5): - Great view of a piece of Rome history out of your room window. Was interesting watching the crazy traffic out the window. Very small two-person (one-person with luggage) elevator to the 3rd floor.
• Kimberly (8/5): - My daughter and I loved staying here. It is not a hotel with 24 hour desk service so you will text when you are leaving the airport and they meet you at the door on arrival. Urzalas son met us and showed us everything and gave us the keys within 5 min if our arrival. The room was very spacious and clean with a good size bathroom. It was located right near a lot of sites. We walked a block to the bus station, about 10 min to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. We walked to the Coloseum in about 12-15 min and saw great sites along the way. We ate pizza from right next door that was delicious and walked to several restaurants that were very good. Breakfast is small but fine for our needs. Coffee, breads, cakes, cereal, yogurt. Do not expect a full American breakfast. Go out and eat the local food. We would absolutely stay here again if we return.

• william (10/5): Cool experience - Dry cozy and comfortable. Different experience as it felt you were in a nice home. You had kitchen access at all times, and the family was wonderful, we'd stay there again when back in Rome.
• Emma (10/5): A Perfect Place to Stay - A good size room, with a large bed and decent bathroom. Centrally located within walking distance from a number of tourist attractions and good restaurants. Our hosts were exceptional and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was advertised as inclusive of breakfast, but the truth is that there was plentiful food and drink available all day free of charge. Our hosts even arranged for our laundry to be washed at a small extra fee. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
• Karl (10/5): Tip Top, sehr zu empfehlen 🥰 - Überaus herzliche Aufnahme von der Hausherrin, es gab den ganzen Tag über die Möglichkeit an Kleinigkeiten und zu frühstücken, bzw frisches Obst und Getränke. Frau Ursula berät sie gerne über Essensmöglichkeiten und Tipps für die Sehenswürdigkeiten, wir haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt … 🫶🏻😊

• Narjara (10/5): The best location and host! - My stay in Rome was absolutely perfect! The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and offered the most beautiful view. What really made the difference was our wonderful host, Ursula. She and her son were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very beginning. They kindly allowed us to check in earlier, and also made it possible for us to leave our luggage after check-out so we could organise ourselves better. I truly felt cared for and welcomed with genuine warmth. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Rome. Highly recommended! Thank you so much ❤️🙏🏽 All perfect!
• Michal (9/5): היה מקסים ונעים נשמח לחזור בשהייה הבאה שלנו - המארחת מקסימה ולבבית. מאחרת מכל הלב דאגה לנו לכל פרט ופרט והרגשנו בבית. מאד נוח שניתן לאכול ארוחת בוקר בכל עת שרוצים, המטבח פתוח לאורחים לשתייה או נישנוש לכל אורך היום. החדר גדול ומרווח, אווירה מסורתית של רומא.

• Ismail (10/5): Fantastisch!!!, alsof bij Familie bent - Perfecte ligging, veel is op loopafstand te doen. Kamers zijn op 3 verdieping maar er is een lift aanwezig. Perfecte hygiene, alles is zeer schoon en goed onderhouden. Maar het allerbeste is toch Urszela en haar zoon, wat een perfecte ontvangst en uitleg over alles. Ze nemen echt de tijd. Alsof je op bezoek bent bij familie, want dat gevoel geven ze je. En het allerbeste is, onze vlucht werd geannuleerd en we konden gelukkig nog een nacht blijven en werden perfect geholpen met opvang. Echt fantastisch, hier komen wij zonder nadenken weer terug. Bedankt voor alles, Grazie👍🙏🏻🇮🇹
• Kevin Collewaert (9/5): - Heel vriendelijke ontvangst door eigenares. Locatie is heel goed in centrum Rome tov belangrijkste trekpleisters. Ruime kamer die goed onderhouden is. Makkelijk bereikbaar van Fiumicino luchthaven met trein en tram. Tramhalte ligt op +- 150m. Het enige minpuntje voor ons was het ontbijt. Dit was heel basic met oa soort van koekjes/cakes uit verpakking. Maar we wisten dit reeds uit de reviews van anderen, zeker geen reden om hier niet te boeken voor ons.

The owners/staff were friendly, helpful and warm. The location was fantastic! Recommended without reservation. Can't think of anything!
• Debra (10/5): A great stay. - We highly recommend Residenza Gens Julia! We were greeted warmly by Ursulla, Davide and Lorenzo. The room was immaculate. Lorenzo gave a full tour of the hotel, amenities as well as recommendations for restaurants in Rome. The continental breakfast was nice. The location afforded easy access to a number of tourist spots. Additionally, the taxi stand was close by.
• Allen (10/5): - The location was great and the owner was wonderful and so helpful with everything. It was a bit different than a normal hotel, but in a very charming way.
• Sean (10/5): When we make it back to Rome, we will stay again. - Bright spacious room en-suite. Fantastic location for all the major sights. Central between Vatican and Ancient Rome, with an amazing view over the Argentina complex, where Julius Caesar met his end. Urszula and the team were gracious and accommodating hosts. The breakfast array was great with something for all tastes.
• Donna (10/5): We had a lovely, friendly welcome from Urszula and went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. A beauti - The property was in a great location, clean, comfortable and welcoming. Nothing.
