Instructions: Guests must transfer via floatplane to the property. Guests must contact the property at least 72 hours before travel, using the contact information on the confirmation received after booking. This property doesn't offer after-hours check-in. Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property. This property is accessible via seaplane or domestic flight and speedboat transfers. Seaplane transfers and domestic flights are subject to change due to weather conditions, international flight connections, or aviation regulations beyond the property’s control. Seaplane/domestic flight transfers are subject to the availability of seats. The property regrets any inconvenience caused due to delay in seaplane/domestic plane transfers. The listed mandatory transfer fee covers seaplane or domestic flight and speedboat transfers for travel from July 1, 2025 and onwards. The transfer fee is USD 950 per adult and USD 475 per child (ages 2–11) from November 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Transfer fees are collected by the property. The additional fee (payable at the property) covers transfer fees for guests ages 12-17.

The staff was friendly, but unfortunately that was one of the very few positive things. The entire place felt dirty and poorly maintained, and the food was mediocre at best. Everything is outrageously overpriced. A simple shared dish can cost around $100, and even a small bottle of water is $15. On top of that, they charge thousands of dollars extra for transportation, without clearly informing you in advance. We ended up paying an additional $2,000–$3,000 just for transfers. The meal plan is also extremely misleading. It is very restrictive, and almost anything outside the very limited included options comes with massive extra charges. No matter what you order, you constantly feel like another $500 is being added to your bill. Then they add extra “taxes” and hidden fees that are not explained properly, making it impossible to understand what you are actually paying for. Overall, the resort feels like a complete scam. You can easily spend $2,000 per day for four people just to eat basic meals. Even simple activities are absurdly overpriced. A regular group snorkeling trip, not even a private one, can cost close to $1,000 for about an hour. Beautiful photos online, but the reality is nowhere near the luxury experience they advertise.

- Hsiang-Yu (10/5): Perfect - Everything is wonderful. Our butler Mira always helps us promptly and allows us to enjoy this journey to the fullest. The housekeeper is also kind and helpful, bringing me a band-aid quickly, and always keeping the room tidy and lovely. The artist from Coconut Club is also kind and passionate, we enjoyed the handcrafting so much. For Merana, we enjoyed the couple’s escape massage and it was extraordinary, possibly the best massage I’ve ever had. For Splash, we enjoyed the scuba diving and snorkeling so much, the marine life in Baa atoll is stunning; the coaches and crew are also kind and helpful, and this experience would be another reason for us to come back to Vakkaru. We also enjoyed the tree house destination dining, the lobster menu was awesome and the atmosphere was memorable. I’m very glad I chose a destination dining experience during the stay. We would definitely be willing to come back to Vakkaru. This is an experience I wish to have more than just once.

Restaurant sayısının fazla olması ve değişik mutfaklardan oluşmasını sevdik. Barlar konum ve hizmet bakımından oldukça iyi. SPA hizmetlerinden memnun kaldık. İnişimizden dönüşümüze kadar transferler ve rahatlığımız bakımından çok özen gösterilmiş olması. - roberto (10/5): - Struttura magnifica con personale attento, gentile e caloroso. La nostra butler Tina è stata una presenza costante, precisa e fattiva, l'abbiamo molto apprezzata. Abbiamo scelto una villa sull'acqua con una fantastica terrazza e un'amaca sospesa sul mare trasparente, con grandi pesci che nuotavano visibili a occhio nudo. Bellissimo reef raggiungibile a nuoto dalla villa o da diversi punti dell'isola (il migliore forse quello dal molo dello Splash, ricco di madrepore e coralli). Livello dei ristoranti molto alto, cibo saporito, vario, di ottima qualità. Buffet della colazione eccellente. Da menzionare la ricchissima e premiata cantina. Una delle cose più piacevoli è stata la possibilità di muoversi in bicicletta nei viali alberati curatissimi che creano un circuito ad anello per raggiungere i vari punti di interesse. Splendida l'escursione che ci ha portato a nuotare tra le mante, una delle tante organizzate giornalmente dall'hotel.

They were very kind! The location was great, it is near two blue holes, so we were able to snorkeling with a very active marine life. We saw some sharks, rays, and lots of beautiful fishes! We also adventured ourselves in stand up paddle and kayaking and was a different way to discover the marine life over vakkaru island! The sunset, beach, and view was breathtaking! The restaurants were speechless! Thank you vakkaru team, specially Skyler that was our butler!

Desde nuestra llegada al aeropuerto de Male se han ocupado de nosotros, no hemos tenido que preocuparnos por nada. Y al llegar a la Isla, es como transportarrte a otro mundo. Los paseos en bici por la jungla desde la habitacion a los restaurantes, las playas de arena blanca y de agua transparente. Los diferentes azules del mar. La puesta del sol en el bar del lagoon, las cenas excelentes, destacando Onu en medio de la jungla, y Vakku a pie de playa con una cocina excepcional. El comfort y la decoracion de las habitaciones, y sobre todo, el mar lleno de vida , cada inmersion era una aventura inolvidable, y nuestro Butler Fathi, al que nunca olvidaremos. pienso , podria haber hecho mejor tiempo, pero en realidad, no nos afecto en nada. Llovio un poco e hizo viento, y aun asi, disfrutamos al 100% de la isla. Ha sido increible !! Esto es para las personas como nostors que estabamos preocupados por el tiempo...

The location, service, quality of food, tranquility and everything else just exceeded our expectations. Every meal we had was amazing! Vakku restaurant deserves a Michelin star! Chef Ushan went out of his way to prepare us some fabulous dishes. We had dinner at Vakku restaurant which was one of the most memorable! The service by Ahameday and Mudassir made it even better. Although all the names are not mentioned here, all the staff at this hotel was excellent! This is exactly what you would expect 5 star service to be. The spa treatment was also one of the best! Seeing a sting-ray swim underneath while getting a massage was priceless! Another one of our highlights was snorkeling near the blue hole with so many beautiful marine life Including reef sharks. She even arranged for me three wheel bicycle because I didn’t know how to ride two wheeler. Tina went above and beyond, she is a marvelous and welcoming soul. Special thanks to Joseph who made us yum yum food and the experience we had at the dinner was amazing, also to Dora who helped me during my dive and was very gentle and helpful and showed me the clown fish, to Ahmed who showed me the turtle and made my day. This one of the best hotel I have been in my life. You start relaxing very quickly - even despite long flight and head full of thoughts brought from home. Our butler Yana did an excellent job in making sure our stay is perfect. Her sand drawings were very heartwarming. Kids club is great. I would personally add more sport activities to kids club. Especially for kids 8+. All restaurants were great, we personally liked Lagoon bar, Onu and Vakku. Italian place could be better, but it’s a common issue with Italian food in Asia. Children menu was fantastic. Breakfast was also exceptional, they even try to cook syrniki, but no successful so far. - Erica (10/5): Pure heaven - Vakkaru Resort exceeded our expectations. We liked absolutely everything. The island is big enough to never get bored of it. There are beautiful beaches and a flourishing vegetation that makes very pleasant biking around in the internal part. The service exceeded our expectations. Our Buttler, Joy, was absolutely perfect: precise, gentle, always one step further, she assisted us perfectly and resolved any situation. Everyone was extremely competent and so nice with us. The whole island is so clean. We were afraid that our plunge pool villa would have been too small, but it was actually perfect, much bigger than it appears in the pictures. Great attention is given to sustainability in the choice of materials. The private beach in front of it was pure heaven. Snorkelling in front of the villa and in the blue holes was amazing. Breakfast was huge and excellent. Food in general was fantastic, and we are difficult customers as we really love high quality dining and we are very spoiled by Michelin starred restaurants around the world. We particularly loved Lagoon Bar, with its amazing sea food and astonishing views of the ocean. We also loved Isoletta, despite the fact we are Italian and we normally never eat Italian food abroad. But at Isoletta, chef Andrea does a wonderful job: you can find superlative Italian cuisine here, with its classic recipes, sometimes with an original "twist". Not only is Andrea an excellent chef, but he is extremely kind and welcoming. I really appreciated he found the time to teach me some tricks for his "risotto al limone", one of the best risotto I ever had in my life. If you would ever get bored of the beach, snorkelling, and sea, you can relax at the amazing SPA. Or play some board games, there are so many! Or play padel, or tennis, or several water sports. We are already considering to coming back asap. The few extras that we bough were not worth it: the show cooking of Japanese cuisine was extremely expensive and we didn't like much neither the food, nor the show. The glass boat ride was nothing special, and the drone photo shooting was a bit disappointing. In general, extras were extremely expensive. In the room, I would have appreciated if the lifejacket for our 3 year-old daughter was of her size.

We had an overwater pool villa, which was gorgeous but could benefit from a netted area to watch the life below as there was nowhere really to do that. The food could have been slightly better. - Juliano (10/5): An Unforgettable Experience at Vakkaru Maldives - I had very high expectations for my first trip to the Maldives, so I carefully researched a hotel that would offer everything we typically see in social media posts. My final choice was Vakkaru. My expectations regarding the location were exceeded — not only because of the stunning beauty of the place but also due to the outstanding service provided by the staff, especially our butler, Sato. I also need to mention the professionalism of the top manager — whose name I can’t quite remember — and the kindness of Rijal, who is responsible for the pool area. I will definitely return. This isn’t exactly a criticism, as it's a reality in the Maldives — restaurant prices are generally high. We also had a minor issue with the diving instructor, but it was quickly addressed and resolved by the hotel staff.

The resort staff offers unparalleled, heartfelt hospitality and personalized services, the food served in several restaurants is simply outstanding, the premises are in a top condition, you can chose from a variety of (water) activities (go for a Manta ray snorkeling trip in season) and wine lovers will find an ultimate selection of excellent and exquisit wines far away from home. When you leave the island all you want is to come back.

We have visited a lot of top class hotels in the world but this is really another level especially in terms of service. Joy was just amazing taking care of all our requests. She gave us the feeling as if we could even write her on WhatsApp at 3 am right in the middle of the night and she would still answer within one minute. Evon makes the nicest Cappuccino art and all the staff was just super nice without being intrusive. Everyone should visit this place at least once in a lifetime.

Irey nuestro butler sencillamente espectacular, atento, expeditivo y super amable. La limpieza y reposicion de amenities en la habitacion es 2 veces por dia, super atentos, todo el hotel impecable de arriba a abajo. El hotel es super tranquilo, la cocina excelente y la comida muy sabrosa. En resumen, todos los comentarios 5* son ciertos. Dedique varias horas a leer Reviews para decidirme entre un grupo de hoteles "finalistas" para nuestro hospedaje en un Resort de lujo en Maldivas, y es casi frustrante no poder señalar algo que puedan mejorar. Como algunos reviews indican, lo unico de lo que alguien podria quejarse de este hotel es que es sumamente caro, pero creo que el que esta considerando hospedarse y se toma la molestia de ver los costos antes aqui ya sabe a lo que va, asi que no puede decir que lo tome de sorpresa. Inicialmente consideramos tomar el Beverage Plan, pero luego de ver mejor los precios de bebidas decidimos no tomarlo, ya que no valia la pena para la cantidad que ibamos a consumir. Fue una buena descision, ya que terminamos gastando bastante menos. El Full Board si es altamente recomendado.

I loved how caring and attentive the Butler(Emma) was, she is indeed the perfect person for such a job, she was awesome. The customer service is bar none. One of the best properties that I have ever visited. From the beginning of my correspondence with them to the end, I was floored by the timely responses from Hussain Sanih. This gentleman paid fantastic attention to details and did not disappoint. I enjoyed staying at this property and would love to return. My butler was so easy to deal with we felt like giving her the world but we gave what we could, she was just so easy to deal with, so likable and pleasant. She is just perfect and authentically pleasant.

- Nefeli (10/5): Island Paradise! - Our butler Adu and the rest of the hotel staff were so welcoming, they did such a great job of making our stay extra special. Our villa was super comfortable and we had the most incredible sunset view from the terrace. We chose this resort in great part due to the dining options available, and the restaurants did not disappoint! We particularly loved Vakku and Onu. We enjoyed a very relaxing couples massage at the spa, but the really highlight were all of the activities, especially turtle snorkeling and snorkeling around the house reef.

- Asia (10/5): it’s a magical place - The watervilla is really beautiful with the best ocean and sunset view. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. Especially Affan our butler has taken such good care of us and our children and made sure our stay was very comfortable. the food, wines, mocktails and cocktails are very good! Our favorite restaurants are Vakku, Onu, Lagoon Bar and Amaany. -

- Samuel (9/5): Loved it, will be back - An absolutely incredible stay! We wish we had booked longer. The view is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and very clean. Breakfast buffet was good. The resort facilities were also great. The service was the best thing about the place. The staff are so lovely and always go over and above for guests. Shoutout to Mo, Rash, Saif, Tait and Adu - lovely people with fantastic service. My only criticisms would be: - would have loved more music/louder music by the pool to create more atmosphere. It was often very silent - we felt that at least soft drinks and all water should be included in the half/full board options

I still love the villa where we lived. I want to thank our sommelier Shubham for a good experience of wine tasting. He told a lot of information about wine, which was so interesting and relevant to every glass of wine drunk. And thanks to Dmitry, our butler, a wonderful person and a golden worker, he made our vacation so that we really didn’t think about anything and enjoyed our stay on your beautiful island.
