Guest Reviews
- Joseph (10/5): - Loved the home, brilliant stay Too close to the centre so very noisy on a morning with seagulls savaging, and unable to use the induction hob as no induction pans were in the property
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - The property was just like home from home.
Great location. Not that we didn't like it but the entrance steps could have been highlighted a bit more as my 80 year old dad struggled. Maybe toiletries and towels could have been supplied with a charge if removed. Being aware of this we will not hesitate to rebook the property.
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - Lovely place ..everything we needed .. Nothing
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice clean very central All good
- Stephenson (10/5): Excellent stay - There property was more than we expected. Very clean. Excellent location. All facilities that we needed Nothing
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- Mick (7/5): Not disabled friendly. - Location was perfect. No mention of the concrete steep steps leading upto the front door of property. I'm disabled and needed alot of help. Not even a light so needed light on torch. Heating pipes make so much noise we had to switch it off at the mains to get some sleep. Carparking a joke. Had to use pay & display at £10.80 a day. Will I be returning. NO WAY!!
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - It is in a great location, lovely and clean everything you need. Would stay again.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (8/5): Lovely centrally located place - The location was excellent, overall the place was clean and welcoming The stairs to the property, I think with the wet weather they were a little scary! It would have been nice to have the welcome notes/ basket on the table as we didn’t notice this until the end of our stay.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dennis (7/5): Adequate but wouldn’t stay again - Adequate No light in courtyard so hard to find and scary in pitch black. Also other places we’ve stayed in Whitby provide a parking card for duration of stay. These didn’t and the only free parking we could find was up until 9 am so had to pay another £16 for parking
- Alan (8/5): Very good - Location, nice communication with owner. Well equipped, warm and location great. Nothing to speak of.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (7/5): Great location in a beautiful town. - Great location, tidy and plenty of room for 4 people. Owners were contactable when needed. It was up steep steps with very poor lighting at night.
- Mick (8/5): Very good - like it location very clean and great veiws of cafederal had trubble with working the cooker and micro
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Location, kitchen, amenities
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Screen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location.
Very clean.
Excellently equipped. The outside steps.
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent overnight stay for Halloween - Great location and very clean and comfortable
- Eastham (10/5): Excellent nice and relaxing. - The location was great near to the centre across from the bus stop, with being a blue badge holder the parking was free in the bus/rail car park which is good otherwise its £10 per over night stay and there are no payment machines only pay by phone, but if there are any problems or issues you can contact the host for help.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (9/5): Would definitely return. A lovely accommodation. - Great location for tourism, lovely and clean, spacious, comfy beds and well equipped. Steps quite steep but we knew this already.
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional - Great little stay!
- Phillip (8/5): Very good - Great location, good facilities in side flat. Quite steep stairs to entrance.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - A little gem, perfect location, loved our stay. Had everything you could possibly need. Though a idiots guide to using the TV would be useful 🤣 Would definitely stay again. There wasn't anything to dislike, though my daughter suggested perhaps needing a few hooks on the wall and hangers in the second bedroom just to hang a few items of clothes.
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Clean and comfortable. We found the double bed mattress hard but that might suit others. Friendly and helpful host. We’ll equipped Extractor fan in bathroom would help
- Elizabeth (10/5): Brilliant gem of a place. - Great location, friendly and informative host. N/a
- Harriet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Short Break -
- Gillian (8/5): Very good - Great location, fully furnished. Very nice decor and comfortable interior.
Perfectly placed for the town, but still quiet and private. Free parking very close to the flat which is very welcome as parking is quite difficult in town. The approach to the flat is slightly unprepossessing and up a few flights of steps which might be an issue for less mobile visitors.
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Murdoch (10/5): Exceptional - Everything you need for a comfortable stay. In the middle of everything but also in a private alley. Host sent all the information needed after booking was completed so we didn't have to go back and forth asking questions. Everything was great but if you have physical limitations the stairs can be a lot.
- Decgaz (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (9/5): Super accommodation in central location - Very well equipped accommodation, centrally located with access to nearby shops, pubs, cafes and supermarket. Situated in a lovely little private courtyard. There was nothing we didn't like, although a brighter light in the bathroom or bedroom would be a bonus.
- Joanne (9/5): Warm cosy central apartment..great relax. - Location
Comfy beds
Had everything you could possibly need
Clean Steps up slippy when wet
Bit noisy at night but to be expected with location
- Gill (10/5): An ideal short break in the perfect accommodation. - Perfect location. Phil was an excellent host and kept in contact both before and during our stay and check in and check out were easy. Phil provided us with everything we needed (and things we didn’t know we needed!!!) and we had the best weekend break.
- Maureen (9/5): Excellent, central and comfortable - The cottage had everything we needed. The facilities are excellent, water was always hot and the rooms were spotless. Beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to everything. Our little dogs loved it too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Marleys (8/5): The pebbles overall is great. - Location spot on, cleanliness spot on & everything you could need is provided. Dog friendly too.
We wouldn't hesitate booking again (as long as the door lock was sorted) Front door lock needs attention we took several minutes trying to lock the door when going out and it took us 20 minutes to get back in one evening as it wouldn't unlock.
- Sarah (10/5): Definitely one to return to’ - Fantastic location, brilliant facilities and super friendly host. Thank you so much!
- Davies (10/5): Chill, relaxing brill nightlife and food - It had everything we needed and more and was perfect location couldn’t get any better Nothing it was perfect
- Alan (10/5): Brilliant - An absolutely lovely rustic apartment right in the centre of Whitby, if you wanted to get any closer to the centre you would have to sleep on the roundabout. The apartment provided more than enough cleaning and cooking equipment and the beds were very comfortable. The host was also very understandable and very helpful after a small accident we had (sorry). Would definitely love to stay here again.
The stairs might not be too great for some. I didn't mind however. There are no bath towels but the hosts remind you in advance not to forget your own. Dont forget to water the plants. :)
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Had absolutely everything you could need.
- Jessop (1/5): Bad -
- Gary (9/5): Lovely trip to Whitby! The accommodation was in an excellent location and suited our needs very well -
- Stephen (10/5): Hands down the best place we've ever stayed on booking.com, great place, amazing location. - Everything, all the facilities you would ever need, lots of quirky little touches, so comfortable and homely and great value for money. Loved everything
- David (10/5): Perfect stay in beautiful Whitby - Easy to get to from the train station. Nice space with everything we needed. Phil was very helpful in every way. Very clean and comfortable. Everything was great.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Kaye (10/5): so good we would book this property again - had everything you needed only recommendation would be a tv in master bedroom
- Alison (10/5): second time we’ve stayed here, location is great apartment has everything we needed and our two dogs live coming here. w - everything it was like home from home nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Location . Home from home .Everything had been thought about. Welcome tea and biscuits. Parking BUT we were able to park free along the road opposite.
- Nigel (9/5): Superb - Everywhere was clean lovely location just opposite train station and bus Station beds and furniture comfortable WiFi was available Dvd player not connected to TV so couldn't watch dvds
- Garry (10/5): perfect - clean comfortable perfect location
- Lynsey (9/5): fantastic few days in a great location - made even better by a really lovely flat with great facilities - Location, location, location!
The apartment was so cosy and clean with everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely book again. N/A
- Natalie (7/5): Good - location was excellent, a lovely little place the weird neighbours
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karmankab (10/5): The Pebbles was memorable to my family - The accommodation was spotless and very nice and very comfortable. We liked the central location near to the dock and local eateries and takeaways and supermarket.
Not far from the local site seeing landmarks.
My daughter's and I really enjoyed our short break and we have already said we will be returning. The owners were more than accommodating and made our break memorable. Nothing
- Terry (9/5): excellent apart from the steps and parking fine - location amount of steps up to it
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Very comfortable and very well equipped - Fantastic location Steep steps to property
- Anne (8/5): Overall a very enjoyable stay. Thank you! - The property was very centrally located and really convenient for everything we wanted to see and do and for all our personal needs. The level of cleanliness was excellent and the facilities in the accommodation were great. The host offered to supply towels as we were travelling by coach, which was very helpful but something to be aware of if you think that they come as standard. The information about arrival was very comprehensive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The toilet flush was very noisy (maybe an airlock) so every time we flushed it sounded like a foghorn. Not great in the night! There was no bathmat which is necessary to keep the floor dry as the shower screen is a little leaky. The steps up to the property are a little tricky so those with mobility issues would need to be extra aware of this as they were challenging with luggage (especially in the rain). The photos of the location show them very clearly so we knew what to expect and we took our time going up and down so it was perfectly fine.
- Shafqat (8/5): There was everything you needed once inside the property - but getting there was a mission. - The pebbles is probably the best equipped self catering accommodation I’ve stayed at - excellent in this respect.
Loved that you had ‘Empire’ but difficult to watch as there was no DVD player control. Access is a really big issue 1) finding the place 2) retrieving the keys 3) parking 4) stairs. You should not add additional luggage (towels - never come across this before). In BOLD you should be honest about accessibility and parking.
A piece of doweling for the net curtain was only kept up with blue tac.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, great location,Everything to hand
- Mark (9/5): excellent and very good value for money - prepared to the highest standards very comfortable Steps are a bit of a climb but otherwise was nothing to dislike
- Anonymous (10/5): brilliant - ideal location
easy booking
lovely accommodation the property is clean, ideally situated and home from home
- Jennifer (8/5): Absolutely fabulous! - it’s location the fact towels weren’t provided
- Joanne (10/5): had a wonderful stay at The Pebbles. would highly recommend this accommodation. - the location of the property is excellent. N/A
