Guest Reviews
- Peter and Narelle (8/5): quaint style, as expected and valued, not for the 5 star crowd - excellent location, sea view no beach, straight off into deep water, a little run down, as usual in Tahiti/Moorea too many roosters, 3.00AM wake-ups
- EVA (10/5): -
A améliorer.
- Jimmy (10/5): -
- Claire D. (7/5): -
Keuken waren kitranden vol schimmel, afzuigkap was goor, licht schakelaars vettig,
Kastjes gedateerd en smerig, kamer/slaapkamer stoffig.
Zeer zeer slecht.
- Andrew (6/5): TAHITIAN WINTER HOLIDAY - The location was lovely, with a sea view. The staff were friendly and helpful. They keep the grounds very clean and tidy. Victor, the proprietor, was very friendly and helpful. They did not speak English, which made life difficult at times. The facilities were not as the description in Booking.com. There was no cafe or mini market as stated. No reception as such. No coffee, tea, or milk in the rooms, even on arrival. Being 20km from a shop, if you didn't bring food or drink with you, you would go hungry and thirsty. They did supply a bottle of water on arrival, but that was it. There was a swimming pool, but it was not in use but was listed in facilities on Booking.com. When I asked about the pool, they stated that it was too much work to maintain it, therefore installed plunge pools for each fale. The resort is on a busy road which it very noisey in the early morning and late at night. Having said all that, we enjoyed our 14-night stay and worked round the deficiencies
- Silvia (10/5): Sehr entspannt. Super Abschluss unseres Urlaubs.
- Nancy (10/5): - Sweet couple run this place. They were so kind and helpful. Took me to the store twice!!! Brought chocolate croissants on my 1st morning The cabin was clean and a basic kitchen and dining table so meals could be prepared. The snorkeling right off the shore and out to the orange bout to the east was amazing. I loved just hanging out and reading and sunning in the garden but I do recommend having a car. I never saw a mosquito or had any bug problems outside or in the cabin Very clean and well kept
- Karen (10/5): - Staff went over board to ensure my son and I had an amazing Tahitian welcome and stay. Thank you!
- Timothy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kosir (7/5): A little overpriced, but good for few days. - Is is just next to the sea, quiet at night, big bungalow, clean place. Very nice owner, willing to help. In front of the bungalows there are big blue round basins they call pools, but they only disturb the ocean view, there is an ongoing problem with WiFi, the chairs on the terrace are rather uncomfortable.
- Charise (10/5): - A beautiful spot for privacy and quiet. Very relaxing. Slept to the crashing waves🌈🌈🌈💕
- L (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location. Clean and tidy facilities. Generousand friendly hosts. Highly recommend.
- Edward (7/5): It was fine. It’s Rual not urban, basic. The price should reflect the product. - I liked the quiet location They didn’t have some of the basic perishables, ie shampoos or a place to put soap when showering. They had a frying pan but no spatula, no cereal bowls. The exhaust fan had no exhaust pipe so all the dust & dirt on top of the fan blew over the room.
- L (9/5): Anniversary Escape - Friendly helpful service. Very clean and tidy. Beautiful location. Great value for money. Highly recommend to anyone.
- Fraser (10/5): Best host!! lovely place!! - The host was fab, our flight was delayed and we didn't get to property till 2am and the host was waiting to let us in! The place is peaceful and right by the water and they give you fresh coconuts.
We had to leave at 3am to go back to the airport and the host was waiting to let us out again, he was brilliant, thank you for our stay
- Stacey (10/5): Perfect getaway. - The bungalow provided just what was needed and the location was perfect for a relaxing getaway far from the busy city. We woke up each day to the sights and sounds of the ocean from our bed and enjoyed the beautiful, uncrowded area. It was hard to leave. Victor went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we wanted, from coconuts, kayaks, and Wi-Fi.
- Darin (10/5): Great out of the way spot - The owner is awesome, the place is clean and comfortable and a fantastic location....snorkel right outside your door. Will be visiting again.
- Summer (10/5): - This place was AMAZING! The couple that owns and hosts were so kind and sweet! I loved the little pool which was right at the waterfront ❤️ it’s quiet and peaceful and was the perfect get away. I got up early each morning to surf, dive, explore and got to enjoy gorgeous sunrises and would make it back just in time to enjoy the sunset! I’ll definitely be back here on my next visit ☀️
- Lisa (10/5): - We gave this 5 stars because the location and amenities fit us perfectly and it was exactly what we needed. We stayed for 4 glorious restful days. Victor, our host, was very careful about giving us our privacy yet extremely helpful with setting up with anything we needed. Henrique, his helper was also very helpful. Victor even arranged for us to receive a coconut (each) and Henrique opened them right in front of us. The juice was delicious and so was the meat. I didn’t know coconut meat could be so soft and easy to access. The bungalow was immaculately clean. Our huge freshwater tub was cleaned and filled upon our arrival and was very refreshing in hot weather as well as after a long swim in the lagoon and outdoor shower. There were stores nearby where we bought supplies for meals and a galley kitchen with stove, cooking plates and small fridge. Everything we needed after a 30 hour transit time from home. It was so nice to sleep with open windows and doors overlooking Victor’s beautiful garden and the lagoon. Even the rain was pleasant as we could sit out on the porch. The continuous breeze wafted with the enticing smell of tiare and plumbago flowers early morning and evening. The small fish pond was full of fish and a beautiful place to sit and think or meditate. We were entertained for hours watching the antics of the birds. I have to add that Victor’s wife was also very welcoming and helpful. She even sent Victor to us in the rain with blankets in case we got cold!
- Jonathan (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (10/5): - Nice oceanside bungalow. Victor was very helpful and accomodating. Nice snorkeling.
- Virginia (8/5): everything we wanted and more. not 5 star but if you like traditional then couldn’t recommend more - n/a everything was lovely. very traditional Fare lovely hosts lovely little plunge pool. very scenic
- Csanad (10/5): A laid back paradise - Location, view, private pool, access to water, mosquito net even there were no mosquitoes. Friendly owner. an old run down building at the entrance, but that is just a visual thing, and have nothing to do with the bungalows and the overall experience
- Elaine (10/5): - The remoteness of this property is what we loved the most. Listening to the waves and nature sounds. The hosts are incredible and they are Tahitian! Its always great to know that we are giving back to the caregivers of original lands and their source of income. We would definitely return here. Its a place that is filled with aroha.
- 100aa (7/5): Good - Just meters from the water's edge. Easy access to water from a ladder. Kind hosts. The singing choir from the church across the street is magnificent. Fish in a pond on the grounds. The cabins are not the newest and showers would benefit from being upgraded.
- Diana (8/5): Very good -
- Florencia (10/5): ideal place to stay with your couple. - everything. the place is beautiful, peaceful & the room very big. free kayak, coconut.. the staff super nice, they make you feel like home. please stay there. you wouldn’t regret it. all just perfect.
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Loved the location and the couple that run the property were really lovely.
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely hosts and setting. Ideal if you want an authentic Tahitian experience.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Accommodation was dated but OK for a stay of one night. It is not suitable for kids as there is no beach and the ocean begins immediately at a depth of ten to twelve feet.
Called home by our government due to the coronavirus
- Verified traveler (8/5): - You see, that’s the thing of it. In the formulaic responses I can’t give it superlatives yet I would rather stay here than the Manava Resort. It is delightfully charming and comfortable. It’s the kind of place where I could hang out the whole day and feel I’ve had a full one. We snorkeled inside and outside the reef, paddled about in the kayaks Victor provides and watched whales breaching just beyond the reef. I have to be careful not to wax too elegaic lest I won’t be able to find a place there next time I come to Tahiti.
- Julie (8/5): - Private, homely feel. Lovely garden setting. Owners are extremely helpful and obliging, go the extra mile
- CHIHUA (6/5): - Nice view, but has 2 problems: too many ants and almost no Internet.
