Cass (8/5): This place is great if your looking for a quaint, quiet, cozy cabin .. also has a kitchen 😊 - I liked that it had a really homie feel. I thought I could actually live in a. Place like this. I lived the stained glass window effect that they painted on the window seal in between the kitchen and living room . It's something I would do if it were mine .. will definitely stay there again .. and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. I wish it had a tub that would have completed my stay .. nothing better than soaking in a nice eatm bath ..but the shower was nice and hot. And very clean .

Michelle (4/5): - We really wanted to like this place. I did not expect perfection from an older place. Things were unacceptable. We would never go back or refer a friend. We stayed in the Sherwood. The room was very dirty in area. The bathroom is tiny and had mold. The kitchen had rat or mouse droppings in the cabinets. Kitchen walls were dirty. Windows did not open properly. The beds were actually the cleanest part of the room. Carpet soiled. Our room was connected to the front office by a door. We felt like we had no privacy and could hear everything when the office was in use. We lost power first night there. Power was out from 9pm till 8am. That was inconvenient. Come to find out it was for scheduled maintenance. Hotel should have know this and made us aware. Owners of the hotel would make phone calls right outside our room. Totally disturbing our sleep.
Sheila (2/5): - Arrowbear "cabin" needs major renovation or demolition! No heat, no blanket, just a thin bedspread. When I went to phone the front desk for a blanket, I realized there was no phone in the room. I put on most of my clothes to stay warm.The grounds are uneven and unlit, so walking to the front desk building would have been unsafe. Microwave didn't work, 2 of the 3 light bulbs were burnt out. Floor in the kitchen is literally sinking, so linoleum is coming up. Bed old and too soft, old foldout couch sunken in. No central AC, just a weird unit standing in the room. Smells; old ashes in fireplace, mildewy bathroom. I stepped on carpet tacks sticking up from transition between lino and carpet. Room was clean. Pool was clean. Parking was very difficult. I had to move my car so other guests could get out.

Carreno (1/5): Terrible, never again. - The pictures really didn't look like the property at all. The property is an older property. Doors and fixtures are really difficult. The shower fixture came off in the late evening and I tried calling the phone number and it went straight to voicemail. Luckily, I was able to fix it on my own, but I couldn't believe that there wasn't anybody available if something does happen or you need someone Don't expect any blankets beyond a sheet on the bed and it was two of us and we were only given one towel. I ended up with insect bites and when I went to go check out, the host wasn't available either so I left my keys on the desk with a Post-it.
Jeni (2/5): - I booked a one bed/ room and the room was shared with another couple with a piece of wood dividing the cabin. Zero privacy. Check in was at 3:00 room wasn’t cleaned and ready till 4:30
Benjamin (6/5): - Overall a good stay. We ended up here by mistake. However, it does not take away from the beauty of the area. The manager there is polite and accommodating. Since I'm not from the area, I didn't know it would be best to bring our own snacks for the cabin. Luckily we had some stuff before going there. The cabin we got was not meant for bigger people and I'm not super big, but the bed is good but not a lot of space to walk in the room. If you are bigger, do yourself a favor and rent a bigger cabin. Shower was also small and the shower head should be set up for a hose so you can move it as you like. Overall though, knowing what I know now, I can say that I would like to visit again with a better plan and more space. Pet friendly but please make sure your pet can handle noises and not make unnecessary noise themselves. Second night we were greeted by a big dog barking in the cabin next to us. I recommend that if you are in the area and want to stay in a quaint cabin, this is the place.
Verified traveler (8/5): Short Stays Only - It was a quaint & old accommodation, cabins with semi-furnished rooms. The first night we stayed in the BlueJay cabin and they were about to install an AC unit although it has ceiling fans on both the living room & bedroom, so I’ll give it 3 stars for now. The ArrowBear cabin is a much nicer one. The staff in charge is efficient and fast in resolving the issues or any possible requests.

Apparently it happens often in these places but the hosts weren’t cooperating with us. Overall it’s a vintage place and under new management so it’s worth the price

The entiee cabin was severly leaning forward, open the fridge thinf rolled out for example..bad. rhe front door could not open all the way, unlevel. 1 set of utensils, 1 sparula 1 pot and 3 bowls..thats it! We had to buy plates, cups, fry pan, instant coffee (no maker). No hot water in kitchen. Light in bathroom broken, fan screetxhes so loud you wouldnt know if the phone rang, someone was yelling or a bomb went off. Toilet moves when you sit..not juat the seat. The shower curtain missing all but 3 hooks. On top of that, we got a notice to evacuate at 4pm, due to fire, and power outage and were told "sorry, no refunds". Other than that was great.

Aaron (5/5): Crestline One night - It was peaceful and quiet way better then staying on Highland Ave I learned that lesson the night before. It was roomy with 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen and I didnt see bugs. The windows didnt lock and some windows didnt lock at all. No Cable TV for news or anything regular or broadcasting. Just a fire TV you have to set up with your phone which is good and bad... Charged me extra to check in early that was fine but the Pool was closed so what about that should of been a discount not a added charge. I think the bed was made after last person and the sheets weren't changed. They were wrinkled like someone laid there without changing sheets after.

Not the managers fault she brought trouble there but don't like how their hiring people from the streets just because housekeeping called off its very irresponsible.

Once I entered the room and the beds were not done the sheets were messed up and the lady asked me if we could give her an hour to have the cleaning lady take care of the room. I had no problem with that. Came back like 2 hrs later the beds looked done. Until my daughters opened up the bed covers at night time and there were many black hairs in the bed sheets. There was trash under the bed, chip bags, empty water bottles etc. overall the place was not clean, atleast for my liking . Lots of dust and stains on the walls and some bed sheets.One of the cabinets had a pair of earrings left behind meaning no one had looked in there to clean. The kitchen had blinds that were torn in half, so there was no chance for privacy in there. There were also unfinished cabinet work or shelf’s with pieces of wood just laying there. The bathroom only had less than half of a toilet paper roll and WiFi password displayed in the room was incorrect. Just felt like I had to keep bugging the employee for things needed. Also towels were almost raggedy and super harsh and thin. The employee was nice but I feel they definitely need to hire someone else to clean up the rooms or speak to the cleaning staff to increase cleanliness. I didnt expect 5 star amazing cleanliness or anything, just descent but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Verified traveler (2/5): Would not ever stay here again! - This was the worst stay I've ever had! Would not recommend to anyone, ever. We stayed in the Big Bear cabin. In the living room area, 6 of the 15 available light bulbs were out. The carpets needed cleaned. There are issues with every floor, wall, countertop and visible surface. The floors of every room needed cleaning. The beds had one non-fitted sheet over the mattress, no other sheets, and a thin comforter which I am positive does not get changed out each stay. We all slept in all of our clothes. There is not an extra sheet or blanket to be found. There were about four cups, four plates, a bowl and hardly any utensils. This place has zero amenities and zero upkeep. The deck was covered in debris and did not look stable. Do not stay here!
Stacie (10/5): - This was a great deal for our family of 5. It was kind of like getting the keys to your Uncle's cabin for the weekend. The place is clean, spacious and rustic. There is wear and tear on the place, but for me it added to the charm. If you're a critical, uptight person that expects white glove treatment, you're probably better off booking elsewhere. If you're up for a quick, mountain get away this is a good choice. The staff is laid back. A nice change from neurotic city life. Close to all the Crestline hotspots.

Outside decorations brought my partner and I comedic relief. Living room; Trash from previous residents, worn in sofa (NOTHING LIKE ADVERTISED), small flatscreen, tall vent heater dirty (can lead to carbon monoxide buildup if not maintained properly—DEADLY) Kitchen; Dirty utensils (I found a white cream like substance on spoon, knife, and fork, limited eating space— just ate in the living room or standing, water damage on roof apparent in kitchen— as well as bathroom and bedroom. hardly accommodated, not disclosed but seems like you’re expected to bring everything. Bathroom; Tile came right off shower and landed on my toe (WASNT EVEN CAULKED), shower floor was cracked, toilet paper holder bracket set up- no toilet paper holder, curtain pole hanging brackets up— no pole or curtains. NOTHING LIKE ADVERTISED.
Sharon (4/5): - The TV did not have decent reception and kept booting us offline. The heater was very very old and it was difficult to find a comfortable temp. The plumbing was an issue in the shower and was leaking, dripping and noisy. There was trash on ground.
Frank (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best cabin/lodge for the best prices u can get in Crestline! The person in charge was super cool and friendly. Definitely returning and Definitely recommending it people! Nothing! Everything was perfect!!

Gopalakrishna (2/5): - We started off in room with a heater that was nonfunctional and a bathroom you could smell from five feet away. There was used toilet paper on the floor. The sheets on the pull out bed were clearly used and not even washed. Following this, I raised a complaint to the management and they moved us to a bigger room. In this new room while the heater was functional, the sheets were still clearly unwashed. There were popcorn kernels stuck to them and the bed was not even tucked. I stayed due to a lack of other options but would not recommend this property to anyone at any point in time.
Jennifer (2/5): - I purchased the room on expedia. It showed pictures of one thing. Get there and they said it was a twin bed, onlyeant for 1 person. That if i wanted the room i described (the ones in the pictures) that i would have to pay another $20. Bait and switch.

Ursula (2/5): - The cabin I rented was filthy. The carpet was not vacuumed. The previous visitors left dirty snot tissue near the bed and a dirty shaving razor in the bathroom. There was a used Covid test outside. The outside fire pit was not working. The neighbors who checked in minutes before me complained they had no heat in their cabin. At 7 am one guest was screaming to the top of her lungs because her cabin had no blankets. It costs over 300 dollars a night so she has every right to be upset. What place charges 300 a night and has no blankets or heat in the cabins. I didn’t mind so much cleaning up more than I should have. But lord have mercy it was a terrible.
Dorothy (8/5): Comfortable and clean - The motel appears to be in process of updating. My room was part of a cabin at one time and walls were not very sound absorbant. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable.
John (4/5): - Only needed a night on the mountain due to being at an event, so I went cheap.. There is no excuse for not having the property clean.. everything was rundown and dirty.. seemed like there was zero effort and pride in the property..Pool was green, cabin was unkempt and rundown.. Mattress was soiled, only one sheet, no fitted sheet, no proper heat.., mold and mildew in the shower, carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed, dirty sock left under bedspread.. but, it was 80 bucks a night so you get what you pay for..

Kylie (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating and allowed us early check in. Which we greatly appreciated. Very friendly. Our room was clean and quite. The near by area takes a little work navigating but overall its a nice area we enjoyed our time here.
Ann Marita (8/5): - I've stayed here a couple of times now, and just so that you know: It's rustic. Nothing fancy. It's a place to sleep, and it's got a lot more personality than your run-of-the-mill motel. It's a place you'll remember. I do wish they would give you a top sheet for the bed though, not just the bottom sheet and a blanket... Just saying.

Sabrina (10/5): - Property was old school and amazing! Surrounding area was amazing about a five minute drive from the lake! The staff was so nice to us during our stay!! Would definitely be back. We had our own balcony in the big bear room 10/10
William (1/5): Poor, and had to leave early. - Mold in shower. Bed was a mattress on a wood box, with no mattress pad, and a bright light shining in the bedroom window.. Furniture was worn and outdated, this facility does not come up to a one star motel.

Will not return. - Nice spacious living areas During our visit July 6-July 7 the pool was out of service, there is no a/c the cabin we were in had broken windows, holes in the walls, water damage, windows that didn’t work, in one of the rooms we found pills on the floor no bottle or bag just pills, etc. when booking it stated they had a pool, and a/c. There were no notes or warnings not even a message about these services being out or not provided. It was hot too hot to stay with out a/c especially since I had my service dog with us on our stay. We left the same day!

Verified traveler (4/5): Not as advertised - The place was nice, but miss managed, pool was advertised, but not ready for use, weather was warm. No fans other than ceiling. Place was nice, but could be better. Kids park was the only thing we truly enjoyed.

Lily (2/5): - When me and my friends arrived, the manager (who was wearing pajamas the entire time) did not greet us and was not friendly at all. When we got our keys, I went over to one of our rooms we booked. There was an A and a B room with the same name, and I accidentally opened the wrong room to find a man sleeping in there. Meaning that my key for my other room worked for all of the other locks!! So dangerous and scary. The pool was closed which would have been nice to know in advance. Our neighbors were smoking weed in their room and we could smell it in our room and they were also vomiting all night and blasting a movie. Everything in our room was falling apart and run down. Would not recommend staying here ever.

Michael (6/5): Will sell different accommodations next trip - No room to maneuver around the bed, zero plugs in the bathroom, the bed was not comfortable at all, had to wait 15 minutes to find someone so i could check in, waited 45 minutes for someone so i could check out (they never showed, so i left the key in the room). Positives- It was absolutely gorgeous where it's located. It's in the middle of a neighborhood but you can't really tell.

Alfredo (2/5): - I would not recommend this place. They cheated me for $20 because we checked in very late even tho they said they have 24 hr front desk. I had no choice but to agree because we had no other place to go. The guy that was there did not tell usanything about their wifi, tv does not work. It’s just a mess. Do not go to this place , I would rather pay more for another place next time. We are not happy
April (10/5): - This historic inn recently underwent new ownership and now operates as a full-time hotel. We booked the Big Bear room which was amazing. Two large bedrooms and a large kitchen and living room complete with a wood burning fireplace and tub. We had an absolutely comfortable and relaxing stay. I’m so glad we took a chance and booked this hotel last minute, despite little to no reviews. I can’t wait to go back!
Nicole (7/5): Really good . - It’s very rustic . There were a few things that didn’t work . Like the living room heater . And the king size mattress was hard as a rock and super uncomfortable. And some exposed wires . But other than that , it was amazing and we will definitely be back !
