• Satisfaction7 (4/5): Not clean, smells bad, unpleasant host - It was dirty. It smelled like pee and Pine-Sol. The shag carpet (who still has shag carpet in a hotel?) had balls of rabbit poo in it. (No lie, as there are feral rabbits outside the room on the common area. It smelled like weed and tobacco out on the common area due to coffee cans full of butts. OUTSIDE, in the fresh air, it smelled like the smoking area of an airport.) The room itslef was just nasty, the sheets had human hairs on them and the toilet had stains on the edge. Keep going down the interstate and stop somewhere decent. (I would have argued about this place but the grand-daughter who "checked me in" did not know if I'd paid or not and complained that she "doesn't normally deal with this stuff." It was late and I stayed, to avoid further hassle.) THIS IS A HARD "NO".

• Douglas (2/5): Too many nice motels to stay here - The room was not cleaned when we checked in. The desk person said they were busy the night before with a group of motorcyclists and didn't have time to clean all the rooms. When we asked our options, the desk clerk offered to give us our money back so we could go somewhere else, or call management the next day for a discount or refund. I did call the next day and never received any discount
• Darrick (4/5): Havasupi Fall Trip - The hotel was ok. TV operates using Roku and there was not good reception. However, if you stay there to hike Havasupai Falls, it’s a quick stay and a short distance to drive there
• Walter (2/5): - Property in disrepair. Everything needs updating. We inspected the room and area. We refused to check in. The lady at the front desk was not friendly and didn’t care at all. Would not recommend this motel. Many transients were living there.

There was still coffee from the previous guest in the pot. The bedsheets were covered in stains. The bathroom was moldy. Just disgusting. We checked out straight away. Our complaint was acknowledged with a simple "OK". I'm curious to see if the refund will work.

• Jared (6/5): - Cheap price i guess, but sitter wasn't working properly, bathroom door doesn't even close, no screen in window so all the bugs and dust come blowing in. Everything technically works. They left plenty of supplies and amenities. WiFi was decent. Some nice decorations.

That said, it's an old property but with a definite charm for those doing the Route 66 adventuring. To their credit, I accidentally bumped a lamp on the nightstand and broke the bulb and they were very understanding and considerate about it.
• Mathew (2/5): - Room was small with old stained carpets as expected. Chair looked like it was picked out of a dump. Bad corrosion on sink and tub. But the terrible rating is because there was hair in the shower drain and shavings on the sink. It had not been cleaned at all.

• Roxann (2/5): - Extension cords everywhere since plugs don’t work, no gfi for bathroom plugs and let’s talk about the plumbing. We stayed on 4/27 for one night and stayed in room 105. Everyone who stayed in the rooms next to us when they showered or flushed the toilet it would back up into our shower. Including our toilet when flushed would also back up into the shower. We woke up to the worst sewage smell. My dad stayed in 104 and his shower wouldn’t drain and when it finally did sewage came back up into the drain. When addressed with the front office she already knew what rooms were having trouble. She said she would have the owners reach out but still not a peep. She also said she would suggest to them a full refund for both rooms. The county health inspector and code enforcement needs to pay them a visit ASAP. I even have a video of the sewage back up for proof. I highly do not recommend this hotel for anyone. If you are the owners reading this then you need to contact me ASAP and resolve this issue.
• Dawn (6/5): Outdated - The hotel was very outdated. Carpet was dirty and beds needed to be replaced. Staff was very kind. Light bulbs were unscrewed and fridge was unplugged. Did not get cold when plugged in
• Michael (2/5): Stagecoach 66 Inn, Seligman AZ - The room and bedding was so dirty and since the heater didn’t work, there was a space heater in the room. We left after 5 minutes and requested a refund.

• Margaret (2/5): Run don't walk away from this motel - I am sorry to have to give this motel such a bad rating.From the moment we walked into the unattended office and had to go next door the pizza place to check in and get keys,things didn't look good and just got worse. The place is so rundown.I reserved the "deluxe" room with a queen bed that looked nice.Instead we got a dingy looking room with awful decor and a full size bed.Which was old and uncomfortable. Next we needed to look at the heating because it was a chilly,windy day.We looked 2 heaters that were on the wall. Both broken instead there was a rolling heater in the corner.The door kept blowing open,it wouldn't catch until we slammed it. Carpet had not been vacuumed in a while, bath mat next to bathtub and throw rug of some kind looked just as bad. I turned down the bed to examine the sheets,there were streaks of black all over them. When we told their maintenance man he said it was due to a bad ball bearing in the dryer and handed my boyfriend another set of sheets. The bottom of the shower curtain was full of mold, mineral stains and deposits on faucet and tub walls, coffee maker didn't work properly.Tv kept buffering, maintenance came and said he had to move one of the routers from another room closer so we could get signal and gave me the password to set it up my self.By the way,it still didn't work right Worst experience that I have ever had in a motel. I have requested a full refund and I am waiting to hear back.Wish me luck
• Mariette (4/5): - It would have been okay if it hadn't been dirty. Bathtub had hair and footprints in it. Dead flies on the windowsill. Pieces of paper left over from previous tenants, and an old used bar of soap in the bathroom sink. At least the towels and bedding seemed clean.The mini fridge did work and it had a microwave. The girl at the front desk was accommodating and pleasant.

• CKC771220 (2/5): I wish I knew! - I thought this would be a great place being on the old Hwy 66. However, I was greatly disappointed. In a sentence this motel is worn-out, run-down, & dirty. First, they raised the price quoted on the phone. In addition the bed must have been purchased when the motel originally opened (sagged in the middle and uncomfortable). The unit had one towel and both the WiFi and TV did not work. When I asked for a $10 discount because of that, they denied it (even though these features were among those advertised). I would highly recommend that you avoid this very dingy motel.
• jaimen869 (10/5): Best place with great complementary breakfast and pleasant employees - If you are looking for a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay in Seligman Arizona, I would suggest the state coach service is great. Beds are comfortable room service is awesome and complementary breakfast. Best visit gravy I have ever had I give this place and their employees a five star rating we come here every year. Been coming here for the last 56 years for work and I’ve stayed here every time and I will continue to stay here. Thank you to the owners and employees at stage coach.

• 766donalds (2/5): What a disaster! - This motel was purchased a few months ago by new owners and they are trying, but our experience alone ought to warn you. I booked two king non smoking rooms back in June on their website. When we arrived, they did not have our reservations. It seems they’re having issues with they’re booking service. They found two king rooms for us. Ours was adequate, but my sister-in-law’s was a disaster. A cement floor and if was just dusty everywhere. They then moved them into a queen room (no more kings available). When she got into that one, it smelled of smoke in this non smoking room. They found her a third queen room that she could live with. Now we are on a three week trip with 21 different hotels and I kept track of who offered breakfast and who didn’t. I could swear that when I booked our rooms the reviews said there was breakfast. There is not any now. I could have been wrong. These new owners have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to stay in business. Every current in every one of the four rooms have holes in them. I would never stay here again.

• William (10/5): - Roadside Route 66 motel the way it should be. Very friendly staff. Quiet and clean. Cool themed rooms to stay in add a bit to the stay as well.
• Silkbridge (4/5): There must be done a lot - The new owners took over a property,which needs a huge renovation.Otherwise,the rooms cant be offered anymore.I will not go into all details,but its really down.The grandmother was very friendly,when we checked in.Fortunately we have always earplugs with us when we travel,otherwise almost impossible to sleep because of the trains with up to 150 wagons behind the motel ,driving every hour.

TV was not working, heater was not working. We tried to find the solution but there was no one at the hotel to ask for help.

• Kay (2/5): - Avoid this property. Unfortunately, this property is in sad shape. Rooms are run down and grimy. For the price, I could have gone elsewhere and have gotten a clean room, with wifi and working TV service. I had to ask to change rooms - and although the staff was pleasant, the rooms should not be rented if surfaces are grimy, bathrooms are not clean and furniture is soiled such that you don't know where to sit of put your things. Seligman is a cute Rt 66 town, but this soured any notion of returning. Worn out is one thing, but worn out AND dirty is awful. Hopefully the new managemnt will take heed.

The girl from the office was very helpful in trying to get it to work but it kept going in and out. The hotel refunded our money and they were very friendly. I just think the hotel is in desperate need of updates and deep cleaning.

• Roxanne (10/5): - Adorable vintage motor court. I stayed in room 139 (Elvis!) on 11/26/2021. Anna-Lisa is super sweet and welcoming, and exceptionally communicative. Awesome/huge room with brand-new throw pillows that fit the theme perfectly. Room was massive with a fridge and microwave, but, alas, no coffee, but I always travel with my own just in case. (See the office for coffee in the AM.) This is only the second room in my life that's had colored bath towels - I love that touch. The shower had good pressure considering the vintage of the property and the location. Anna-Lisa let me know that she hadn't turned the heater on, and where the switch was - it took a couple hours but wow that heater had me sweating! The bed was firmer than I'm used to but I slept great. (Elvis gazing at me all night probably lulled me into blissful slumber?) ***the property doesn't have cable so pack your Roku/Firestick!*** Yes, there is train noise since it's on 66; this isn't a problem for me because I live near tracks. The night cost $71.77 Grade: A all the way Would stay again? Absolutely!

• DEANNA (4/5): Bed like a Springboard! - Well, was pretty disappointing to say the least. The bed was not bolted to the wall and it came off when my husband sat on the edge of bed. Terrible sewage smell when flushing toilet, lingering smell. No working air conditioning. The most discouraging was the comfort of the bed. It was like sleeping on a spring board. In todays age of comfortable SOFT beds, cant Stagecoach upgrade their beds? comfort goes a long way. We wont be back. Very dissapointing. Sorry.

It was decorated with Mater and Lightning McQueen. Route 66 is like stepping back in time. Everything is dated from the bathroom to the furniture but it gives the place a unique charm.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - My family recently stayed at this motel. The property staff were very courteous and helpful. My family (with teenagers) stayed in the "Cars" theme room. Of course, it is suggested for children, but we selected that room. Don't expect a fancy, state-of-the-art room. Everything is very dated and might need a few things changed or even cleaned (yellow room chairs). Regardless, we now have made some wonderful family memories because of this stay. The silly pictures on the walls, the window unit AC (very cold), the frequent passing of trains all night, and an actual key to unlock the room. After or before your stay (before 5 PM), you should drive a 1/2 mile up the road to the small town of Seligman. We ate at the "Road Kill Cafe" and took pictures at all of the amazing small shops with a Route 66 theme. If your family liked the movie "Cars" then you must visit this small town (Seligman). Again, this motel might not be for everyone, but my family has made some wonderful memories because of its "chic" nature. My family will be talking about this motel stop for years. Life is definitely like a box of chocolates... Thank you Stagecoach 66 Motel.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - When I arrived at the motel there was a dead moth on the carpet, the sheets were stiff and dirty, the carpet was crunchy and unclean, and live moths flew around the room. A half hour after I was there, a seemingly poisonous small black spider scurried across the carpet and I had to kill it. An hour later a poisonous wolf spider appeared at the head of my bed the size of a softball. The front desk was closed, despite claiming 24/7 service, and I did not feel safe sleeping with poisonous spiders in my room. I turned in my key and a letter explaining why I was leaving and went to find a clean room 40 minutes away. I called the motel in the morning to speak to the front desk to ask for a refund and was accosted by the manager saying I should expect spiders and moths to be in my room and that she would not give me a refund. I asked for the owner, but she hung up on me and wouldn't answer my calls after that. I spoke with expedia who called the motel and got the same response that I did. I have yet to hear from the motel owner.

• Kuansib (4/5): Okay-clean rooms with sparse service - This motel was marginally clean with old furniture (uncomfortable beds, worn and dirty chairs, dark and tired looking comforters and pillows that I carefully folded up and put away thinking that they have not been washed for months or even years. There were nothing to put suitcases on in the room). We rolled in around 2:15 but the office was locked. The occupancy appeared to be about 20% in the late evening judging from the number of cars. So we were not sure why we couldn't check in around 2:00. Since there's nothing in sight as far as businesses in this desolate town except a pizza place next door, we were hoping we can at least make coffee in the room in the morning but there's nothing in the room, not even an antenna for the TV. We went to the office looking for coffee but it was again locked. The showerhead was the cheapest one can find at Lowe's that was so clogged up and let's very little water out. We were happy to leave it.

I brought towels so I just used mine. Pizza restaurant next door give a discount on food if you stay here. A bed & hot shower is all we required after the long drive from CA.

The pizza place that’s part of the complex has very nice food and friendly, attentive staff. The motel is close to Grand Canyon Caverns which I also highly recommend. Just don’t expect anything more than clean and moderately comfortable bed.

No soap available in the bathroom, only shampoo. To small plastic cups for drinking water. Paid nearly $80 for the night. This was a $50 dollar a night room, but had made a reservation on line that was not cancelable at the last minute. Not happy with the experience. The owner is using cost cutting measures as evidenced by the appearance and level of service.

• William (8/5): It's a Route 66 Experience. - It's an old motel, so that was our expectation going in. It's been upgraded pretty well, but part of our reason for coming here was to be in the environment, (we're Route 66 fans!) It would have been nice if the TV worked better, but that just encouraged us to focus on each other...so that wasn't so bad. I know a lot of people focus on the train sounds...it was never an issue for us. We heard the train, but found the sound kind of soothing. We very much appreciated the personal attention from the Staff...they were ready to help us with anything we needed.

• Tyler (10/5): Great little motel on route 66 - If you're used to staying at 5 star hotels all your life like the Hilton or the Marriott you may not like this place, but if you like fun, off the beaten path places go here. The motel was built for route 66 so its old, the room was very clean but dated. That is part of the fun, I also recommend spending the few extra bucks and getting a deluxe themed room, well worth the money. The staff was extra nice, they offered hot coffee and donuts or breakfast cakes. Oh there is a restaurant on the property that we did not eat at but the guy that checked us in said they offer food discounted to motel guests. We ate down the street at the Roadkill Cafe, check that place out. Excellent food and staff.
• Akiko (2/5): Just sad... - It was horrible. Room is not clean fake green at night table has dusty. Some trash on the floor. No hot water so wasn’t able to take shower. Towel was old and has hole. Next train lane so constantly wake up when train came. Room has odds due to heater. Wanted complain but no one came when check out so I just left key....
• ANDREW (10/5): Make sure to meet the Owner! - Close to I-40, Old Route 66-style Motel was very reasonable. To enjoy a stay there, eat at the Restaurant and/or go to the bar and meet the worldly and very-well-travelled host, Annalisa, a Norwegian woman who was among other things an Olympic skiier and race-car driver. Real cowboys frequest the Bar, as it is only one of two in the Town.of Ash Fork/Seligman, AZ.
• Andrew (4/5): Do not stay here - Motel is located right next to railroad tracks, the bed was not even remotely comfortable, and the room as a whole was extremely disappointing. If you are looking for a modern, clean, and well maintained motel..... This is not the place to stay. If you want to do illicit drugs.... This is your motel.
• a454mom (2/5): WARNING - Under New Management - NO HOT WATER - Unsatisfactory response from Front Desk: We like hot showers before bed but the water was cold, all night. We phoned the front office several times. No one answered. At 7am, managers turned the pilot light on. This is what they told us. We suspect they woke up at 7am and wanted their hot showers. No apology or compensation was forthcoming. This use to be the best motel in town. Hope owners see what is happening and fix this mess. We will never stay here again.
• LEHeaven (6/5): Standard motel experience, good check in/out - I believe this is a motel that 'does what it says on the tin'. Its a very fair price. We were in a standard room at the far end of the facilities, next to a train line. This was fine. We got here about 10:00pm and just needed a bed for the night, so it worked for us. Hot shower, we didnt need to use aircon. Honestly, it was clean enough, but did notice bathroom tiles and amenities a bit dirty. I wish i had booked and spoken beforehand to pay a bit more and get an interesting room, but this was very much what i would expect from a typical, cheap motel.
• 427janetb (10/5): A feeling of safety and comfort - These fine folks were able to accomodate my husband and I (and dog) without reservations. The motel down the street, that we had booked with had told me to get the 'F" out when I complained upon arrival about the do it yourself check in. I had tracked him down to the other motel they own down the street. You do not leave other guest registrations on the counter for all to rifle through. The Stagecoch is a traditional Mom and Pop - as us older folks may remember from our younger days. Up to date on the interior and very clean and pleasant. Plenty of room to walk your dog without having to take a ten mile hike, but watch for the kittys roaming around, if they are a trigger for your pup. In my distraction after checking in, I failed to grab my Drivers License off the counter, but after a call the next day, it was in the mail back to me. Great people and a fine example of professional Hoteliers.
• Laaduuzze (8/5): perfect for one night - Very easy going staff. The room is nice and the bed is comfy. The price value is very good and we can highly recommend this place to stay. The Bathroom could need an update BUT for the price you pay you should not complain about it.

• flyboy1946 (8/5): Interesting place, to say the least. - I decided to spend the night in Seligman even though my meeting the next morning was in Williams. The Stagecoach 66 looked like the most interesting place among the half dozen or so motel in the town. The room was their "standard" room meaning that the TV was an old CRT unit (not flat screen). It didn't matter as the TV signal was so weak that all I got was static. Anyway, the room itself was quite nice. Everything worked, everything was clean and there were no six- and eight-legged creatures sharing the room with us. I'll stay there again if the opportunity arises.
• jeffhZ8079IZ (10/5): LOVE Stagecoach 66! Themed rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, great pizza - 5 stars all around! - The Stagecoach 66 is the COOLEST motel! The themed rooms are great (I'd love to try them all!), the service is super-friendly and quick, our room (the "All-American") was clean, comfy and decorated to the nines! Didn't get to the bar, but The Pizza Joint - deeeelishious! My dog had a great time, too, and 'that one tree' in the center had SO many songbirds = beautiful melodies!! I would go out of my way to stay here again and highly recommend it! Five stars all around!

• LouiseD228 (6/5): Difficult to rate! - This is an old Route 66 motel that needs updating. It wasn’t exactly dirty but didn’t feel that clean either! The beds were pretty comfortable and they do have a guest laundry. The staff were pleasant and helpful but we probably wouldn’t stay again.
• SanctuaryNana (4/5): Needs some cleaning and updating! - I thought it would be fun to have the family experience a Motel on Route 66. I should have checked it out beforehand. The kids were kind of freaked out. I have to agree with other reviewers that being retro is no excuse for not being clean and updated. The carpet was yucky. Bathroom rug honestly looked like it had never been washed. Our lamp, big box TV and bathroom lights were not working. One of the teens was so grossed out he wanted to sleep in the car. The other one developed an asthma episode from the dust in the room that lasted a couple of days. I'm wondering if some of the rooms are different and nicer based on the other reviews people have left. I'm attaching a picture of the curtains in our room taken in the morning. It shows the light coming through the holes in the curtains. That says a lot! We will laugh about the experience for a long time, but I honestly would not stay there again! I don't normally leave reviews but I DO count on them when I travel. Unfortunately, I didn't do that this time!

Comment peut-on proposer des chambres tout droit sortis du tiers-monde, j’ai dû me reprendre à trois fois pour nettoyer les poignets des portes et les interrupteurs, difficile de poser nos affaires, les canapés sont crasseux, la télé date du siècle dernier, tout comme le reste, tout est vieillot, rien à voir avec le vintage, d’ailleurs la télé fonctionne aussi bien que dans le temps où il fallait montrer sur le toit pour faire bouger l’antenne. Bien évidemment, internet non plus, impossible de télécharger les photos, juste la catastrophe. Le pire c’est cet horrible odeur de moquette et tutti quanti. Déjà la réception annonce la couleur avec sa porte blanche et noire de crasse. Dommage! Cette ville est tellement charmante

• ad_nubem (10/5): A fun place to stay! - This place is great! We stayed in a pet friendly room and didn't even get charged an extra pet fee! The room was decorated in a puppy motif that was very fun. There's a great restaurant and bar at the hotel. In the morning they have coffee and snacks. The room was clean and the price was very reasonable. This is a great place to stay as you are passing through on I-40!
• 10Grandma (2/5): My dog would not walk on the carpet. - Long day so we checked in. After seeing the room (104) we did not want to stay but did not want back on the road. Room was dirty, air conditioning was ran off of an extension cord that also had the tv, micro and refrigerator into it. Bath room was not clean and no hand soap. As I said my dog did not want on the carpet so he just stayed in his kennel and I alway had my shoes on. Will not stay here again. Sorry that I did not take pictures. The restaurant next door and part of the motel was very good and the staff was very pleasent.

• Ian (4/5): - Check in very unsatisfactory. Asked for a room near our friends and told we would have to up grade to a themed room and pay more to be next to one another. We did request rooms near each other when first booked! Breakfast included but a cereal bar and coffee was all that was on offer. Rooms very dark. Heating not working fixed promptly but then could not be turned off all night. Owner made herself known to us very friendly and made us feel very welcome which lifted our spirits.

• allyzim137 (10/5): Charming Place! - Super cute motel. Takes you back in time and fits with the character of the town. We got the Cowboy themed room and thought it was awesome. (Although the black silhouette on the wall of the cowboys did give us a little jump in the middle of the night lol). Staff was super nice. Some of the reviews state about it being outdated but we loved that part.
