• BigGig (10/5): Un posto carino e tranquillo per visitare Barletta - Host di eccezionale cortesia. Sempre pronta a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda. Grande attenzione ai dettagli. Camera pulitissima e motlo carina. Non ci sono mobili, ma i vani in muratura sono più che sufficienti per una breve vacanza. C'è anche il frigo-bar pieno di bibite e la macchinetta del caffè in capsule con il bollitore per il tè. Bagno spazioso e con un numero sufficiente di appendini per gli asciugamani (vicino al lavandino non ci sono ma si può egregiamente adoperare la maniglia del vano doccia) e vani di appoggio per il necessaire. Vano doccia di buone dimensioni e gruppo doccia tecnologico. Letto comodissimo, uno dei migliori nei quali ho dormito. Cuscino sottile; se si vuole più spesso basta ripiegarlo ottenendo lo spessore gradito (se non si vuole chiedere un cuscino extra). Facili da manovrare le zanzariere. La zona dov'è l'appartamento è assai tranquilla e, a volte con un po' di difficoltà, si riesce a trovare posto per l'auto, anche se non sempre gratuito. A 10 minuti a piedi si è al centro e alle spiagge di ponente. A 15 minuti al castello. A 20 alle spiagge di levante. Il wifi funziona benissimo. Solo consigli ai visitatori. Le camere sono al secondo piano senza ascensore, con scale abbastanza ripide, tipico di gran parte delle città della bella Puglia. Quindi, attenzione se avete problemi alle ginocchia. La tenda oscurante non "sigilla" la luce in arrivo che passa nell'apertura tra le due falde. Basta mettere una piccola valigia che spinge la tenda contro la finestra in corrispondenza dell'apertura della tenda, così si sta al buio. Probabilmente per la distanza dal boiler, l'acqua calda ci mette un bel po' ad arrivare, soprattutto la prima volta che la richiedete. Con un po' di pazienza poi va tutto bene.

• Massimo (10/5): Anche se di lavoro, il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole! - L'accoglienza da parte della proprietaria, la signora Anna Maria, è stata molto cordiale e simpatica! Mi ha fornito molte informazioni utili per il mio stare a Barletta tipo, il garage dove parcheggiare in sicurezza, i ristoranti e/o pizzerie dove mangiare e la caratteristica della mia camera. Camera e bagno sono molto puliti e tenuti molto bene, è disponibile un piccolo frigobar, con l'essenziale senza dover uscire di casa, a prezzi contenuti. La camera (Acqua) è molto silenziosa e ha due bei piccoli balconi ove è possibile, tempo permettendo, fare colazione all'aperto. E' possibile trovare una galleria di foto molto belle, sia della dimora che di Barletta, nel sito della struttura. Difficile trovare qualcosa da migliorare!

• jatsao (10/5): Camera bella e comoda per il centro - Camera grande e curata, comodissima per raggiungere il centro a piedi, con anche un bel balconcino dotato di tavolino e sedie. L'host ci ha fornito una stanza superiore a quella prenotata senza costi aggiuntivi. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo! Unica pecca l'assenza del bidet, compensata in parte dal water dotato di doccino.

Had a delivery of fresh pastries every morning from a local pasticceria. Small inconvenience was the 2 flights of stairs to get up to the room. Got used to it after a few nights though.

• Berry (10/5): see above - We highly recommend Essence in Barletta, Italy. It’s located about a 5 minute walk from the central train station and 10-12 minutes from the Duomo and Colossus. Our airy room was sparkling clean, from crisp bed linens to the cool tile floor. The rain/hand shower is the best we have encountered in several weeks in Europe so far this year. The room had juice, a basket offering a choice of many breakfast items. There was a coffee maker, little cappuccino machine, and a teapot as well. Our main objective in staying in Barletta was to visit the nearby Cannae Battlefield (where Hannibal famously defeated the Romans) and museum. Here, Anna Maria, who runs Essence, proved extremely resourceful. We arrived in Barletta on a holiday; there was not a taxi in sight at the train station. But Anna Maria had arranged a driver for us! Carlo picked us up at the train station, took us by Essence to leave our luggage, drove us past vineyards and olive groves to Cannae and returned for us two hours later. If not for Anna Maria’s arranging the outing for us, we would have missed our long-anticipated visit to Cannae. When Carlo dropped us off at Essence, Anna Maria was there to be sure all was well. And she came the next morning with fresh croissants! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one caveat would be that our room was up several flights of stairs and there is no elevator, so travelers who are elderly or who have heavy luggage should be aware. (We are both elderly and have heavy bags, and we managed just fine!) We liked everything!
• H (9/5): If you want a really nice place to sleep in Barletta, this is it! - In our entire trip, I think this place was the most modern. It has really good shower. The beds are comfy. The owner stated those are memory foam. It also has that small fancy coffee machine. I think the lack of elevator. For some of us who had bad knees, the plight of stairs was a challenge. The second was the breakfast. I looked at some photos from guests in 2018 and there were pastry, a couple of croissants, ham and cheese. However, we only got 2 croissants with fillings per room. I wondered if it was due to Covid.
