• Jenni (6/5): Too big a dorm for a good night sleep - The vibe was nice and especially the volunteers working at the hostel were the best, super friendly and fun. The people really made my stay. The dorm had grown bigger since last year, now accommodating 15 people instead of the earlier ~9. There are still only 9 lockers for the whole dorm. 15 people is a lot to sleep in the same room, I won’t book this opportunity again. Also got somewhat disappointed, when I realized that by booking early, I ended up paying 25 e/night instead of the regular 14.

• Gusic (10/5): Nice Hostel! - The Hostel has a nice vibe. You can connect easily to others and the stuff is friendly. It has a big terrace and it's near the beach. The shared room was ok, there are lockers. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom and kitchen was a bit dirty.

• Eva (8/5): Gezellig surfhostel nabij een bekend strand - Gezellig hostel met internationale gasten die vooral afkomen voor het nabij gelegen Praia de Superturbos. Sommige personeelsleden zijn goed op de hoogte van de surfcondities. Ze doen er ook alles aan om problemen op te lossen. Rustige ligging maar reken wel ongeveer 5 km van het centrum. Mooie poes aanwezig. Er zijn heel wat zaken kapot zoals sloten op wc-deuren, haakjes, afbladderende deuren. Ik vond het jammer dat ik bij mijn aankomst niet op de hoogte werd gebracht dat er een BBQ zou zijn die avond. Ik werd ook niet ingelicht over een plaats waar te delen voeding beschikbaar was. Ik zou aanraden om de wasmachine in te stellen om meer te wiezen want ik heb veel tijd verloren met het drogen van mijn kleding.

Quando mencionado nas comodidades que a casa de banho é partilhada assume-se que será partilhada apenas pelos elementos do quarto, no entanto, a casa de banho é partilhada por todos os hóspedes do alojamento o que se torna desagradável. As camas não são confortáveis, fazem doer as costas. O horário de silêncio não foi respeitado, havia muito barulho a partir das 22h.

• Karina (10/5): Chill and comfortable - Clean, comfortable hostel with a fully equipped kitchen. The staff are super nice and awesome and make the stay really comfortable and chill. Great location if you want peace and quiet and a calm environment. The wifi didn't work everywhere.

• Hiram (8/5): Very good - There was no breakfast, but the kitchen was free game and a full kitchen of facilities to use, the location was perfect for surfing supertubos, it takes about 40 min walk to the main city.
• Jenni (8/5): Very good - A chilled, relaxing place with a super nice staff. The room didn’t have any ventilation, which could be easily smelled when walking in the room. For one night it was okay (slept with the window open), but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay. Dorms and bigger private rooms seemed nice & good value for money.

• Lilia (2/5): We booked , when we showed up there and he showed us our room , we ended up leaving . So we lost our money as there was - The staff were very nice and friendly . I didn’t like that the rooms were very old looking, no air conditioning , the bathrooms were shared with everyone and they were on a different floor . Would be ok for young kids but not for families. We booked and payed but didn’t end up stay there . So we lost our money . Which I’m very upset about as they have a no refund policy, the pic look better then the actual place a bit of false advertising. So I’m out about $100 dollars :(
• Kathleen (6/5): NOT beachfront! Great if you have a car or don’t mind Ubering everywhere. - Very friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. Nice living room/hangout area. Nice kitchen, fairly well stocked with essentials. It was NOT beachfront as stated on Booking.com. It was approximately a km away if taking the shortest route through overgrown and hilly paths. It was far from restaurants, grocery stores… had to Uber everywhere. Bathrooms and showers were all on the main floor. Long way if had to go to the bathroom at night.

• Edward (10/5): - Ruhiger Ort, 5 km von Peniche entfernt. Surf-Hostel mit sehr freundlichen, jungen Leuten. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, hatte ein eigenes Bad und einen großen Balkon. Es war alles sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. In der Gemeinschaftsküche kann man Essen zubereiten oder auch nur den Kühlschrank nutzen. Wir haben den Altersdurchschnitt um mind. 30 Jahre nach oben geschraubt, wurden aber trotzdem sehr herzlich aufgenommen und die jungen Leute waren für alle Fragen offen. Super Atmosphäre, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Kitchen was dirty, very small kitchen for that many people cooking at the same time, showers outside with big spiders. Everyone’s cloths drying everywhere. 14 beds in the dorm. Personnal stuff left in washrooms and showers. It says that it’s by the beach, but you have to walk 13 minutes to see the beach.

• Kendall (4/5): I would have left after the first night but I didn’t want to reward them for the no refund policy. - The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean. Walkable over the dunes to a very long thinly populated beach with water that was warm enough to swim in 2/4 days there. The early morning shower water (7:00am) never got warm; toilet needed at least two flushes for solids; easily hit head getting into/out of bed with sloped ceilings; helpful directions but bad information on specific questions like is the bus station office open for buying tickets on Sunday? Said, yes, no problem but wrong, closed! Need phone app to buy tickets (they advised apps but no trust in my phone without EU SIMM card). After first night woke to hear young woman in bed next to mine (shared with 12 beds) who had been coughing tell host of fever. I contest for 3 more nights with sickness in the room. No refund for I agreed/paid for room with others (stupidly assumed health of others). They did change my bed with amenable other further away in the room. Then forth night three snorers in concert made sleeping difficult and with patio door and stairwell window closed, very little air movement and a lingering fart odor inspired my early departure. I think much more enjoyable for the young, but >60? I don’t recommend it.

• Nina (8/5): Good people, surf vibe, chill, would go again! - Great staff! Very warm welcome & explained everything to me. One night they had a bbq & everyone sat together on the terrace. Equipped kitchen & a lounge to hang out & chat with people. The room due to the design is a little noisy, so pack earplugs & you‘ll be fine. Location is outside the city, so Grocery store is a little walk. But they have bikes for rent with a 10min bike ride into the city.
