- Enrique Raymond (10/5): -
- Marit (8/5): - Het personeel en de ambiance (Bad)kamers zijn een beetje verouderd
- Horhe (8/5): Agood place and budget friendly place to stay - The staff are very accommodating and warm. They are ready to help and respond to your concern.Old ameneties but everything is working and in good condition. It has mosquitos so don't forget to bring repellant. There are few comfort rooms that doesn't smells good.
- Nanette (6/5): - Washroom dated and moldy. Beds and beddings are clean. Staff were attentive and accommodating.
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing -
- ROY (8/5): Not bad! - Employees were nice & friendly, breakfast was ok. Could use some updating on rooms.
- Regienald (9/5): Nice stay. I will be back for sure. - The place is well-maintained though this is vintage. There is a wide area for dining, a cool and cozy living room open to everyone. There are tables at the back for additional space. The fridge and microwave are free of charge.
The place is worth the money.
The staff is very accommodating. Very friendly and very professional. This is the best highlight of the stay.
We were supposed to be checked in at 2PM just we arrived way too early. They allowed us to store our luggage without a fee and then checked in at 12PM. We checked out at 12PM but we were allowed to use the dining room for lunch even after we checked out. Free of charge. The floors are made of wood. We were at the ground floor and the occupants just above us were noisy in the middle of the night so we had disturbed sleep. I complained at the front desk and the said occupants behaved eventually.
The place isn't much known so you have to tell most can drivers which way to go. If you want a place within Burnham Park or Session Road, this isn't the place for you.
Free breakfast. Small servings.
Shower heater is not warm enough. But not a big deal.
- Roy (8/5): Good hotel & location. - Staff Friendly breakfast ok, room needs updating.
- Narela (8/5): Very good -
- Teresita (5/5): Exceptional serviceđ - Staff are very welcoming and hospitable. Provided our group with exceptional breakfast and service. Too noisy, from the loud sound of the cars outside, to the childrenâs noise on the stairs. Ground floor room is smelly, have bed bugs and spotted a tiny rat. Other rooms were clean and decent.
- Maria Fe (4/5): - the staff is kind of nice , but the problem is theres no blanket in the room in time of colder days, the hot water not properly working , the free breakfast is not satisfying
- Jerry (6/5): - Bathroom was a mess, poor draining in the shower toilet barely worked. Breakfast was basic. Had to pay extra for anything.
- Roger (9/5): Superb - The ambiance The amenities.
- Sybille (8/5): Very good - A clean, quiet room in a reasonably well-maintained and nicely situated place. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was OK. Staff was great - very helpful and friendly.
- DAVID (6/5): Great improvement! - Initially the first room they gave me was not clean that black mildew really in rough shape so I complained via this forum to Hotels.com. Expedia and my message was sent to the hotel. They responded very well. They gave me a different room and they even started repainting and fixing the other room up, so hopefully my comments were helpful. They did everything they could to make me happy once they understood how I felt and it turned out to be a mutually very good relationship between the hotel the manager and myself I must say theyâre trying really hard to improve and I thank them for this. Itâs always good to see how people react and they did this very well so if you want a basic simple place to stay, I would say this place is good and the staff is excellentđđ Sincerely David Herman.
- Lasse (6/5): Layover - Typical Bagiuo resort.. its ok for a day.
- Arago (7/5): Good -
- Portia (4/5): - No air conditioning in the room, no provided towel and toilet paper, you need to go to the front desk to asked amenities. The restroom need some upgrade. The bedsheets need to be replaced itâs old and stained. Parking lot is tight and limited.
- Ermelita (8/5): - Staff and service were very good. Staff were respectful and very helpful. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
The place was clean and cozy. Serving for breakfast was ok but small portion only.
- Wayne (10/5): - Family had a great experience at this hotel. Parking was always available and free, breakfast was delicious, and the proximity to the city center is close.
- LEXALYNN (10/5): - It was nice.
Small and tidy
- Edwin (5/5): Passable -
- Leoben (8/5): - Our delightful stay concluded smoothly, and the kind staff went above and beyond by letting us unwind in the tranquil living room for hours after checking out. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, perfect for de-stressing before our bus journey. The only minor hitch was the wooden floor, which could have benefited from a quick sweep.
While the charming bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, it surprisingly boasted a refreshing bidet â a thoughtful touch we truly appreciated.
In terms of accessibility, finding a taxi from the location presented a slight challenge.
Yet, these minor inconveniences were easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable wait and the friendly service, making it a memorable stopover.
- Job (6/5): - Heater for shower unable to heat shower. Water pressure fluctuates. Room size not adequate for a family of 4. Stayed in a room with 2 double beds. To move around the city, it is better to have your own ride.
- Koen (7/5): Good -
- Judith (8/5): - it was noisy then as there was construction nearby but overall ok
- Leonardo (8/5): A feel of the Baguio of my youth - The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I loved the place because it gave me the feel of old Baguio of my youth. It's no frills but was comfortable and easily accessible to a lot of areas. I lucked out as I was able to park up front the whole time I was there. Hot water worked well and there was a big fan in the room which I only used to let the air circulate because of the dampness in the air [there was a typhoon]. Breakfast was decent size and adding to it was not expensive. Place has a lot of charm
- Robyn (7/5): Good - It is a very cute place.
Great music being played in the common area.
You are able to use the dining room to eat food in with a fridge to store items.
Can not cook but can heat using a microwave. Is tucked out of the way and difficult to get to.
At breakfast coffee was in an urn but I had to pay for tea bags.
- Jack (8/5): - Nice walking distance into main town
- Teresita (5/5): itâs a spacious place but need to Improve the toilet , bathroom, and need new blankets and linen - need to upgrade the place especially plumbing and linen, towels , clean the place everyday. hard to find
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable - The house shows the fine vividliving in the earlier generations,,, Love the warm shower,,,Personelles are friendly CR is not flushing,,, the house is old,,, our room was at roadside, it was noisy
- Eva Rose (10/5): - The place is quiet and staff is very accomodating and friendly.Good service.thumbs up.
- Cherilyn (10/5): - đ
- Hazel (10/5): Over all, our stay in the Old Orange Wood Hotel was fabulous! We strongly recommend this property as a great place to st - 1.) The very welcoming, very polite and very helpful attitude of the hotel staff. The hotel staff were always smiling and always ready to help with queries regarding your stay and also the tour around Baguio.
2.) The property is very clean and tidy.
3.) The propertyâs location which is very accessible to go to the town center. You can actually walk to the town center from the hotel for about 15 minutes. None that we can remember.
- Concepcion (9/5): great - cleanliness mosquitoes in the bathroom
- Marcelino (8/5): Staycation - If your looking unique place to stay and in the center of baguio, this is the right place to stay.
Nice place with an old house style. Friendly staff and wifi is good for working at home or staycation
- Ericson (2/5): Actually it is really uncomfortable to stay. - Rooms and shower needs to be upadate . Shower and rooms
- Cayabyab (10/5): Will definitely go back - The staffs was super nice and accommodating. Walking distance from the city market and burnham none, all was good
- Rossana (5/5): Passable - Staff are very pleasant. I suggest they need an upgrade with their toilet and bath.
- Grace (8/5): Very good - The place is nice and clean, the staff are so nice.
- Clomera (8/5): Very good - Quiet place
- Lj (6/5): Itâs very quaint but also too old⌠best for old school people I guess⌠- Breakfast is too ordinary, nothing special. Water heater in the bathroom is too complicated to use. Should have instructions posted on how to manage the water temp. Parking is so small not too safe for their guest. Always full and guess are not given a slot even the owner parks his vehicleâŚ
- Nico (7/5): Good -
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Place is excellent. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The team of the place is old classic and cozy, but I would recommend put screen in the window to minimize mosquitos.
- Melita (9/5): Superb - Staff were very friendly. My room wasn't cleaned. The single room in the upper most section
- Dace (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): a lovely short stay in baguio , and a lovely place to holiday at old orangewood , with great lounge - the breakfast and coffee was very nice , lots of books to look through , beautiful older style building , lots of history , really nice warm staff . will stay again . mineral water free in the lounge .
- Elgers (6/5): the shower had little hot water. matras thin, blankets small and thin. for that price it really need some upgrade - location sort of ok cold breakfast sometime
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (7/5): overall good and clean, - old but maintained bldg pics not same in real
- Estrella (4/5): Disappointing -
- Panganiban (8/5): Very good - Very accomodating staff None
- Gilbert (7/5): Good -
- Edna (7/5): Good -
- Dalica (7/5): Good - The sala Room is small, heater not so strong for 12 degrees temperature
- Jarlyn (9/5): Very accomodating ng mga staff - Ok yung place malapit sa lahat The heater of the shower
- Janina (9/5): Exceptional service. Thank you! - Good value for money A bit too far from the center but itâs good because itâs peaceful
- Melchor (7/5): Good -
- Candice (9/5): Cherished stay for our family! - Restrooms are huge you can hold a party inside! :)
Water pressure is good. Heater working. Beds nicely done. Blankets are provided to battle the cold evening weather đ
No problem with communication, booking process went good.
Beware of scammers texting that the booking is pending when in it's already paid. Contact the property directly from their posted numbers here or their FB page. The lighting in the rooms are not bright enough, they need a higher wattage bulb.
The window screens are dusty.
We can maybe light the fireplace even just the one in the center room (for experience) just a thought
- Aldrin (7/5): Good -
- Sharbella (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Edilberto (8/5): Very good -
- Quiruben (5/5): Passable -
- Eyal (7/5): Good - the staff is helpful and friendly the place need a little TLC
- Bryan (6/5): Pleasant - Unlimited coffee until 10AM. Very nice view. Good amenities in the dining room and lobby. Lots of books to read. Cockroach on room, early check out of 11am though you can stay further with additional charges, room looks old and haunted we have to cover the mirror to sleep comfortably
- Indy (7/5): It was generally good, just need to improve on their services. - Breakfast was great - we got the bacon free b/f and added the salted egg/tomato and tinapa. Benguet Barako was superb.
Kitchen amenities were good - refrigerator, basic utensils, heating kettle, microwave, etc. Kitchen was mostly self=serve.
The beds and linens were clean but it would help is blankets were provided, given the low temperatures in the morning. No slippers were provided.
The dining area was nice and spacious. Sitting by the window for breakfast and afternoon coffee was the highlight of our stay. Location was a bit far from the city so we had to spend for taxi each time we go out and back; walking was not an option as there were no walk-friendly paths to the city.
The room on Day 1 was a bit small for two people that we had to hop over the bed to get to the T&B. But the staff were quick to recognize this so they transferred us to another room on Day 2 that's about the same size but better configured.
We did not like that sugar and creamfor the coffee was served on plastic jars with twist cap used/shared by all guests - not too hygienic especially during the time of pandemic.
The staff were not too welcoming upon arrival at the hotel - sitting room was dark, it's like they are trying to save on electric bill at the expense of the image they project to guests (that guests are not welcome).
The sitting room would have been the highlight but it was not adequately lit and some guests were overstaying, depriving other guests use of the space.
- Meg (3/5): Poor -
- Stephen (6/5): It was ok - Location. Very old building with poor water pressure.
- Kristel (8/5): Overall, the staff were very helpful and accomodating. Really had a nice stay. -
- Edwin (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I needed to book for an additional night as a result of illness and the price they charged me for an entirely similar room to the one I occupied for the first night was 40% higher.
