Guest Reviews
- Beatrice (2/5): - This was my worst experience staying in a hotel. I booked a queen bed when I arrived to my room my bed was not a queen, the room was small, the carpet was stained & I did not get any sleep due to the constant noise going on. I would never recommend this place
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not in a safe area. Had to give driver license upon arrival. Check in counter behindclear bulletproof wall Bed room at ground level with no window protection. Trash bins located outside window. Room too small and very outdated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): My stay - The hotel room was very clean and nice and the bed was super comfy.. the only things that I didn’t like was when I walked in to check into my room .. the front desk clerk took about 10 minutes to acknowledge me. He was to busy in his phone.. I said excuse me about 5 times and even knocked on the window.. he finally looked up when I rose my voice and said hello I’m here to check in. He seemed annoyed and rolled his eyes at me when I asked him what floor my room was in because I couldn’t hear him.. but other than that I enjoyed my stay. The clerk when I check out was very kind and helpful !!
- Louise (2/5): - This hotel was just gross. The sheets were dirty. The room was in disrepair and faced a parking garage. The employee in the reception area was behind glass like in a gas station. It cost me $260 for all this, but i had no choice as all other hotels in the area were booked. As we left, the street reeked of marijuana. My mother and I were scared to stay there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was too small and bathroom smelled really bad, really sour because someone used a sour mop
- Rita (8/5): Brooklyn - Room clean, service fair, area sucks, parking great, breakfast okay, privacy great.
- JJ (8/5): - Rooms were clean, friendly staff, breakfast room could've been better but get what you paid for. I would recommend anyone that wants to stay in Brooklyn to reserve here. O
- carl charles (2/5): - I don’t have good customer service and And the way the people in there talk to be able to have attitudes no reason like I did… Something to them but I don’t know why
- Ivan (8/5): - Everything was good and clean. Small closed parking. Small rooms but nice and clean. For NYC price arround 100 dollars is ok
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My CC and ID was left at the reception. I was not able to go back to the area but for one month I was not contacted .. They said my info was not available from the 3rd party although I completed form with my phone number at reception when I signed in. Turns out that thete were multiple ID and CC of previous cluents at front desk. PLEASE look into this practice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was given the wrong direction by an employee, then when I get there I was told my bookings was cancelled that was about 10 pm. It takes another half an hour before I was then given a room. I was very disappointed to be told that it was cancelled by me, what I couldn't understand is why would I cancel and then show up.
- lata (6/5): - We scored this room online . Its affordable and gives just what you need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was nice but not really spacious at all. The space the beds and the desk TV was very close! The rooms were nice n clean..new bathroom was a delight
- Bill (6/5): Location a little misleading - The hotel itself is almost new and has nice rooms. The neighborhood name with the hotel is incorrect. It’s closer to the Brownsville neighborhood in Brooklyn than it is to Crown Heights.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very Noisy - The house keeping staff was very very noisy, have to wake up almost every hour on some one slamming a door or speaking on his phone on the speaker and the person on the other side was crying. unless you planning on getting really drunk so you won't feel the noise, i won't suggest it.
- angel (8/5): Sooo - It was overall a decent place to rest up and recharge.
- Leah (6/5): Convenient and cheap - It was fine for what it was. The area was a little sketchy at night... not somewhere I'd want to walk around. But the room was comfortable and served purpose. I private place to sleep close to the breweries we wanted to visit. 👍
- dk (2/5): - Will be seeking a refund. Will not recommend to anyone. This hotel is 1 star at best. Coffee maker and lamp where on a makeshift dirty ledge, room was smaller than advertised
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I didn’t like the room location, and they didn’t change it with integer one.
- Colin (6/5): - A party of 6 of us stayed for 4 nights in 5 rooms at a cost of $115.00 a night. Single guests might be able to snap last minute bargains closer to the city for less but given the size of the party and the newness of the hotel it was a bargain. On the downside the area is not at all beautiful. It may well be in that 5 years time it'll all be hipster lofts (especially given the good public transport choices) but right now it's not a place to be on your own after dark! But then at a $20.00 taxi ride from Williamsburg you don't have to be out alone after dark!
The hotel rooms are actually nice and also roomy (for a big city budget hotel) even if the security glass & sparse furniture of the lobby don't exactly inspire confidence. However the breakfast is horrible. I asked the guy behind the glass in the lobby what kind breakfast it was and he said "free".... There's a great diner 10 minutes walk away forget the hotel breakfast!
In summary I've stayed at way worse hotels in Manhattan for 3 times as much. If you understand where you are going then this is a bargain but not for the faint hearted.
- Chairmona (2/5): Dont Stay Here - This was the worst hotel ever. it was not in a safe area. the room was small and cramped. the bathroom was not clean. the service was horrible.
- mya (2/5): Really bad neighborhood. - Nice hotel but the location is sketchy. Near the projects. Be careful walking at night. Over priced for hood elements.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The website advertise free breakfast which wasn't provided
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was o.k.
No to good area, but everything was new and improved.
- amanda (2/5): Horrible experience - Complete ripoff. Hair was in the bathroom shower, very tiny room, no space to walk between bed and dresser, very loud people at 4 in the morning, no real complimentary breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): So good - Amasing
- Rachel (2/5): Tiny, Broken, Unacceptable - /We stayed here 09/2017. Our tiny room was on a cellar floor with a half window which opened without screen or bars in to the parking lot. The parking lot had spaces for 7 cars and was always full. You cannot tell the parking lot is full until you have entered it, and then need to navigate a 3-point turn to leave the single lane ramp entrance/exit, without enough room to perform the feat. The area itself is a run down section of Brooklyn, all ground floor windows BUT the hotel had bars on them. We were forced to use street parking which left us uncomfortable as free off-street parking was one of the reasons we went with this hotel.
The room itself was very small, only big enough for the bed and a dresser, which the doors/drawers couldn't be opened because the bed blocked them. The refrigerator was unplugged and we had to move the furniture around just to plug it in. There was a plastic bag taped over the smoke detector, there were large stains on the comforter and the shower did not have hot water.
The continental breakfast was mediocre.
When we attempted to check out, we encountered no one running the desk. Through the glass partition that separates the employees and customers, there was a back room with a glass door. The desk attendant was ASLEEP in a chair and would not wake. We called the desk and though he was sleeping right next to the phone, he didn't stir. We called corporate, they offered no help. We called later to check out over the phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
- JJ (4/5): Not very clean room - The bedding had a filthy blanket, and there was garbage on the floor in the corner next to the AC. Our room was not serviced one day at all, and the next day when we asked for our room to be cleaned, it was very half-hearted with the beds thrown together. Breakfast was sufficient.
- Chris (4/5): Noisy Hotel and Hardly Any Parking - We booked this hotel on the basis it was advertised as having car parking and that it should be a reasonably comfortable place to stay for a night. On arrival we were told by the duty manager that there is "no parking on site" and they could not recommend anywhere to park. On showing him the advert for the hotel, which says there is parking, he then admitted there was but said it had all been taken. He suggested we should leave our rental car outside on the street. The street certainly didn't look safe for this, so we made it clear we weren't going to park out there and he eventually said we could park in the car park, which has about five spaces in total.
We'd been hoping to go out for something to eat but decided against this as the area didn't look safe, so we chose to have an early night. However, we were awoken by the couple/family in the next room at about 3am, who continued to make various types of noise both in their room and outside in the corridor until about 6am. We suspect they were on drugs given their night time activity and it seems this might be some sort of halfway house for people with these kind of issues, as well as a regular hotel. We think the manager may just have put us in this room knowing we wouldn't have a great night after he'd had to give in on the car parking.
Breakfast in the morning was OK but choice is fairly limited.
Overall, not recommended unless you are not travelling by car, only here for one night and have few options.
- Verified traveler (4/5): I would not recommend. - the service isn't good. Rep. at front desk wasn't helpful at check in. She interrogated me. It made me uncomfortable and angry.
- Al (6/5): A beautiful new hotel that lacks parking. - We were there the opening week at a great price and were impressed with the building but the location is lacking. Very rundown and sketchy neighborhood. With thay said, the one thing you expect in this situation is parking and it's the one thing the hotel lacks. They only have six spaces sadly. We never moved our car because we were afraid of not having a spot when we returned. This is a very big negative.
- Michael (8/5): Nice room, convenient location - Very nice room for the money, and the people who run the hotel were very friendly/helpful. Just not the best neighborhood, but only very short walking distance to a major train line (the L line), so actually very convenient to getting anywhere.
- gulshaker (10/5): Courteous staff clean excellent service excellent - Nice place to stay very courteous service and clean facility excellent breakfast
- A couple (2/5): The hotel was in an absolutely terrible location - The hotel was in an absolutely terrible location. We were scared to death walking to our room late at night. There was no place to park but on the street. The streets were full of garbage, even outside the doors of the motel. The room was fairly clean, but there was toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom. The hotel felt safe once you were inside and safely off of the streets. The streets were all one way and even with GPS, it took us 1 hour to find the motel and park the car. We would note recommend this motel to anyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): hotel staff gave wrong information about me - i checked in late and the hotel phone was not working. I did not have a roaming on my cell phone so I was relying on the hotel phone to make local calls. The staff told me no phone technician work on the weekend and I stayed from Friday to Tuesday and up to now, no phone technician came to the room. it was reported and nothing was done and the hotel staff Nick I think... mixed me up with another guest whom I dont know saying I reported a lost phone... and that was my complaint.. even when I say you got me mixed up with someone else... smh
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathroom clogged. Rooms were too small for the price.
- Chairmona (2/5): Days Inn HORRIBLE - That was the worst. The neighborhood was UNSAFE. The front desk clerk was rude. The bathroom was not clean. The first room they had me in was in the basement. The next room they put me in was so small, you couldn't open the door all the way because if you did the door would hit the bed. Didnt know if i was taking a shower or bath because while showering, realized the drain was backed up and the water instead of going down was rising above my ankles. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE EVER AGAIN.
- Carl (6/5): Could been better - My name was oh okay could been better
- Rhonda (10/5): Days Inn, Brooklyn - I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. The room was clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Seems like the building is very new
- jaime (4/5): Small rooms just - The rooms r too small
- Jason (8/5): Not bad for NY - The staff was great. Had a grand opening sign and everything seemed brand new. It's a real small room but you're in New York. All in all it was comfortable, had a half dozen free parking stalls in back (thru a tunnel) and offered free breakfast. Would stay again if I needed to be in the area. There wasnt much real close but i had a car so didnt explore what was in short walking distance.
- Danielle (6/5): Clean, poor breakfast options - Visiting our daughter in Brooklyn for 3 days and looking for a clean, quiet place to sleep. Adequately met those expectations, and the staff was friendly enough. Disappointed that by Day 2 breakfast, no yogurt or creamer for coffee. Similar places we'very stayed in the area had some forms of protein and something hot. Parking on the street was available.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do NOT stay here for your own sake - Hotels.com and Days Inn should be ashamed to call.this even remotely a hotel. It's 3AM right now and there's a blaring television across the hall from us with strong weed odors coming out. Kids were running up and down the hallway at 2AM. The beds are itchy and what may be described as hostel like conditions. Frankly, do yourself a favor do NOT stay here. I am a budget traveller and often look to save but this has been so bad that for once I'm considering simply losing 300 dollars just to get out. The management sits behind bullet proof glass, so no luck on any real customer care.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid this hotel . - The worst hotel ever inside industrial area in front of construction site .
I wanted to cancel but they didnt agree terrible place old ugly .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - People in front desk were nice and cordial.
- Anonymous (4/5): Very Mixed Review - I didn't expect much. I knew I was booking a relatively cheap hotel in Brooklyn. But aspects of this hotel were very underwhelming. First, the good stuff: the staff were excellent -- very nice people, efficient, friendly The room was fine -- small (as expected) but clean and comfortable. Now the bad stuff: the location is terrible, a very run-down neighborhood. The hotel falsely claims "free parking" -- but all that means is there are no parking meters on the street. Because you have to park on the street, there is no lot or parking facility. Good luck finding a parking space on a busy New York street. Eventually I did, but considering the neighborhood, I was very relieved to come out in the morning and find my rental car still there.
- Norman (4/5): Scarry - There was no hotel parking available (despite what was advertised). Had to park on the street in a pretty sketchy neighborhood (pan handlers, condoms on the sidewalk, lots of trash).
- Karin (8/5): In Brooklyn over night for concert - Very nice hotel close to subway and a few protected parking in the backyard (we got the last one).
- Lori (10/5): - It is a nice place to stay
