Guest Reviews
- Andrew (8/5): - Good location..cheap. shame about the constant building work
- moe (4/5): - booked a room with sea view, but got a room without sea views, and staffs didnt care to solve my request and ignored the my reservation confirmation email and they said i didnt send an email directly to them(i m so confused by them, why do i need to send an email while i booked thru hotel.com). A staff told me that they will give me a room with sea view tomorrow and never happened. DISAPPOINTING.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Laid back - Good variety and good food. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very laid back and peaceful atmosphere. Lots of garbage on the beach diminishes the experience. Take one of the island hopping tours for some beautiful coral snorkeling and cliff diving. Barking dogs on the beach may interrupt your sleep. Don't expect maid service or any amenities but that is not why you would book here. I enjoyed my stay but in general I would not travel to Sihanoukville again
- Katie (10/5): An extremely enjoyable stay here. - I loved my 5 night stay at these bungalows. The location right on the beach is amazing. The restaurant and bar area is so relaxing, very friendly and helpful staff, with a yummy food and beverage menu. The shared bathrooms are constantly being cleaned which is really good too. The location is great, with many other good restaurants very close by. A very relaxing holiday here indeed.
- Madi (2/5): A waste of a great location - We arrived and we're immediately led to our "beachside room" (spoiler: it wasn't beachside, but it was okay). The room was dirty and poorly lit, but we figured it was the standard for this area. IT'S NOT. There are so many other places that are much better places to spend your money.
The absolute worst part of our experience was the staff. (There is one guy who was awesome, but was just helping at night). Every day it was a struggle to get the staff to pay any attention to the guests at all. If you wanted to order dinner you had to track someone down, drink, same. There was one point that interupted a staff-only pool game to order dinner. The staff member then PUT MY ORDER IN HIS POCKET, FINISHED HIS GAME THEN GIVE MY ORDER TO THR BACK.
We also watched as the staff was too busy playing cards to notice that one of the staff members' children had climbed on top of the pool table and had smashed about 100 pieces of chalk into the felt.(Pic included)
That moment was the best representative of our time at Chez Paou. We could have stripped down naked, smashed and threw pool balls, and the staff would not have been paying enough attention to care.
