Lindsay (9/5): Great location and terrific facility for a quiet rural getaway - A very quiet location with amazing rural outlook. Very interesting history to the station and great job restoring and maintaining the property. Nothing. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed for a private function the night we stayed as we would have liked to try it. However, we were advised of this issue before arriving so not really a problem.

Norman (9/5): I would definitely recommend this accommodation. - The property was very well maintained and everything was clean and the gardens well manicured. It was a great location to unwind. The meals in the restaurant were superb as was the service.

Miri (10/5): The best kind of surprise! - This is an absolutely breathtaking property with so many different spots to enjoy - from the gorgeous restaurant, the views, the pool, the garden to the rest of the farm. The property is so well kept and maintained and the attention to detail is next level. I couldn't believe my eyes when we arrived and will definitely be back. Nothing!
Grey (9/5): Excellent - would stay again. - Beautifully renovated room although a little small. Very relaxing with lovely views. Restaurant was also a bonus with lovely food and atmosphere.

When opening the shower door will often bang on the show head. We lived in three different property in this location. We all bang the shower door onto the shower head.

Vanessa (10/5): Perfect stay on route to Sydney to unwind in a beautiful setting with a lot of ambience and a wonderful restaurant. - The landscaped gardens and beautifully restored historic buildings in a rural setting. Shearer’s Quarters are tastefully decorated and perfect for a couple. Loved the addition of a pod machine. Glass House restaurant was excellent , reasonably priced for the quality of food. No need to go into Tamworth for dinner. Very dark at night , minimal outside lighting, so recommend to arrive prior to nightfall as it can be confusing to navigate the precinct.

We stayed in the Shearers Quarters and our bed was really comfy, bathroom was fantastic and the gardens surrounding us were magnificent. We went up to the Glasshouse restaurant for dinner and breakfast, just a short walk up the hill. Excellent food and service. The views of the country side were spectacular. Can't wait to visit again. Nothing :)

Absolute value - Our stay at Goonoo Goonoo Station was nothing short of perfection. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered—from the beautifully restored buildings to the peaceful, picturesque surroundings. The accommodation itself is stunning, combining comfort with a real sense of history and charm. The added bonus of the on-site restaurant, Glasshouse Restaurant, truly elevates the experience. The food was absolutely exquisite—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It made our stay feel even more special not having to leave the property for such a high-quality dining experience.

It felt like a country retreat - very pleasant experience. A little out of town but it provided a higher level of privacy and security through its location.

Nigel (10/5): Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The restaurant was excellent, with a beautiful view. - The stay was very peaceful and relaxing, which made it easy to unwind. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped, with great coffee, a mini bar stocked with cold beer and beverages, and a very comfortable bed and air conditioning. I also appreciated the ample hanging space and the large bathroom with high-quality finishes. It would have been great to have more food options available in the room, such as snacks or light refreshments. This would have added an extra level of convenience, particularly for late arrivals or shorter stays.
Julie (10/5): A little private historical haven 15 mins drive from Tamworth - We stayed in the Shearers Quarters - a lovely room with all amenities and lovely bathroom/comfy bed/great views over the beautiful landscape. Dinner at The GlassHouse Restaurant was really good - great food, friendly staff. It deserves its good reputation. Would love more vegetarian/vegan options - particularly in the dessert menu. Otherwise, fabulous! More vegan options in the restaurant

Bridget (10/5): Beautiful place - Spectacular location and the grounds were immaculate. Stayed in Shearers 9 which is larger than the other Shearers rooms and isn’t attached to another room and has a slightly more private veranda - could definitely recommend. The pool area is small, given the size of the estate but we never had a problem finding a sun lounger 😊 Bedroom & bathroom well equipped and very comfortable. Easy to walk up to the glasshouse restaurant for great food, drinks and views.

Fiona (10/5): Unique Rural Stay - We only stayed one night in the Shearers quarters but would loved to have stayed longer. Bed was comfy, having decent sized bowls and glasses to make our own breakfast was a bonus, good aircon, good water pressure in the shower, super clean and smelt nice. This was a uniquely rural, quiet accommodation, we didn't get to explore the grounds or use the restaurant but maybe next time. Not applicable
