I don’t think I got the room I booked? The photos didn’t match and it was a lot smaller and a completely different layout.

• Dolly (10/5): - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Royal Victoria and Bull. From the moment we arrived, Lewis the manager made us feel so welcome — friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive throughout our visit. The food was absolutely out of this world, easily some of the best we’ve had. Every meal was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. What really made the experience special was learning about the incredible history of the hotel, which has stood for over 700 years. Kirsty and Julie were fantastic and kindly showed us around the historic building, sharing fascinating stories and details that made the visit even more memorable. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even decided to stay an extra night! A truly unique and welcoming place full of character, history, and amazing hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

• james (6/5): - The location is very central. It is an interesting and historic building. The overall decor was faded and tatty. The bar toilets aren't very nice. There was no BBC on the TV. The breakfast was disappointing.
• James (9/5): A pleasant stay. - Easy check in. Friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast. Comfortable bed. Had a good night's sleep. The shower head was disconnected from the holder. It looked like it was broken. But it didn't stop me from having a shower. I even forgot to mention it upon checkout. Not a major issue at all.

• TERENCE (7/5): Basic but good for money - Excellent central location with parking. Staff polite & helpful. Room very clean with basic provisions, tea & coffee making, hand soaps, towels. Full English breakfast very good but otherwise not much choice. In our room a couple of drinking glasses would have been good but these we had to ask bar staff for as not provided. Bed very low & definitely could do with a new mattress, very uncomfortable ( I certainly could not have coped with more than a couple of nights), certainly not good for sufferers of backache! Bathroom clean but needs a few minor repairs: shower head no longer stays in position, shower door off its bottom slider, sink tap broken (but works ok), mirror positioned very high so unless you are over 5ft 6" you will need a step ladder! No windows in our room (except internal window overlooking the bar area). We were advised on arrival that there would be a late DJ night so we should expect loud noise until approx midnight. As it happens, it didn't affect us but would have appreciated if pre-warned when booking.

• A. (10/5): Rustikale Übernachtung im Old Englisch Stil.! - Vorab, es ist ein sehr altes rustikales Haus mit viel Charm in jeden Winkel. Wir waren mit unseren Zimmer sehr zufrieden. Es war warm und vorallem ruhig. Das Haus bietet einen guten Pup mit angenehmen Speise Angebot. Den Parkplatz haben wir erst im zweiten Anlauf gefunden, dafür kann mann durch den hinteren Eingang schnell die Zimmer erreichen. Personal ist freundlich. Wir haben das rustikale Ambiente sehr genossen. Mitten im Zentrum gelegen.
• Lorna (8/5): Handy if you want to be in the centre of Dartford. - Great breakfast and friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable beds. Shower could have been better. Various staircases leading in different directions meant it was disorientating and not that easy to find your way out.

Yes you could order one from reception but we didnt notice that until we were about to shower ! Also the room was clean enough but other areas particularly the toilets were dirty. The breakfast was not good my husbands egg was hard, the bacon not nice. There were mushrooms for the veggie breakfast but not the full English,toast was not done.

• Stephen Ringlee (9/5): Superb Location in Center of a Town - Exceptional location in center of town. Hotel is an old coaching inn. The on-site restaurant/pub was good as were their breakfasts. Staff was very helpful. As an old inn, it was a bit of a maze and might be challenging for the mobility-impaired.

Kamer was voorzien van vier bedden en is fijn voor families. Kamers laag, voor lange mensen bukken bij de deurposten en lampen. Slechte ventilatie. Het hotel is zeer oud en dat is overal te zien. Alles is gedateerd.

• Lisa (6/5): Comfortable and convenient if a little tired. - Centrally located in Dartford just a 10 min walk to the train station with good access to central London. Spacious, free car park. Friendly, welcoming staff. It's an old building and the rooms are in need of a refurb, having said that they were clean and comfortable and we would stay here again. Breakfast was not good. Burnt sausages, cold bacon and stale bread. Served between 7 and 9 we didn't bother setting the alarm on our next nights stay. It would be nice to be sent directions for the car park prior to arrival as the sat nav takes you to the front entrance with no place to pull in.
• Golden (6/5): good location - the room was not the same as the one we booked online but was ok we ordered an evening meal of chilli con carne - it tasted disgusting so much sugar and a whole star anise in it i could have broken a tooth and my sugar levels spiked was not offered a replacement or refund had to eat in MacDonald's
• Maurice (9/5): Very good overnight stay. - Location of this character hotel is excellent. In the centre of town. Easy walk from Dartford Station. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Orchard West theatre. The food was good and did not need to book in advance for a meal at around 5.00 p.m. Very happy with the breakfast selection. My wife found the hot water at 7.30 a.m. on Sunday to be only barely warm. Although the hot water in my son's room was very hot.

The building is quite historic (and it comes with historic building idiosyncrasies), and the service and the accommodations were both top notch.

• Simon (8/5): Excellent value, freindly staff. - A warm welcome on arrival. The breakfast was great and the evening meals were mostly good (burger was excellent). Our bedroom was cosy, clean with a fully tiled bathroom and shower. Beds were comfy and with a TV, tea, coffee we had everything we needed. This is an old building so it has plenty of charm,,however some areas are tired and in need of a refrub.

Shower was superb with great pressure and hot water. Drink and food was well priced (15% discount for residents) and good. The hotel is dated and located in the town centre so I did not venture out after hours. The car park was impossible to find unless you went to reception and obtained the post code and directions for parking. Could be a good idea to include this on the bookings website.

• Helen (8/5): A great place to stay for a visit to our in-laws - A traditional old coaching inn with lots of character. A great breakfast too. We were in the Bennett rooms at the front of the Inn, our room Lydia, had beams across which was quirky but fine for us, see photo. Free parking was good and the staff were lovely. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice beer. Queen Victoria once stayed here. Convenient for Trains and local shops. It was a little bit tricky for my in-laws, who are in their 80s, to get up and down the stairs to our rooms, they managed but being an old building there were no lifts. We should have checked this before hand.
