Sadly, we were very disappointed with out dinners at Local Flavor. We both had the pork medallions and the sauce was runny and too salty. Hope it was just a bad night. But this had nothing to do with Heartstone Inn.

The room was clean, and the bedding was also very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was no lighting in the parking area, or up to the small steps. The steps to the second floor were very hazardous, particularly when carrying suitcases. The room was pleasant but very, very small, with large lamps, resulting in almost no table space. Little things like bathroom light and inside door light were out. It was a pleasant stay, but these small things would have made it much nicer.

After taking a closer look, there were 4 settings on the window air conditioner. The quieter setting wasn't obvious and there weren't any instructions in their welcome letter to let us know the appropriate step needed to be taken to address this issue.

Rick and Cheri were very helpful in discussing several options in the area, We highly recommend other travelers to stay there. Nothing, really. I would say you pay for what you get. The price was commensurate with what we received. Location was next to a trolley stop and in an area that was quiet. Bird sanctuary in the back was a bonus.
Jane (10/5): Casual Elegance - My husband and I came to Eureka Springs to see the Passion Play. I would describe the atmosphere at Heartstone Inn as casual elegance. The Victorian Suite was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was soft just as we like it. We appreciated having a small refrigerator in the room. We especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and squirrels while sitting under a beautiful canopy of trees on the back patio. The breakfast was FABULOUS. Breakfast was served in individual ramekins with a baked good, fruit, juices and coffee. The Southwestern Quiche, the French Toast with fruit compote and Rick's poppy seed bread were breakfast standouts. The afternoon cookies and lemonade served on the back patio were an unexpected treat. Even the water tasted good. Cheri and Rick were warm and gracious hosts. They have set the bar of expectations high. Should we return to Eureka Springs in the future, we would stay at the Heartsone Inn again. Thank you Cheri and Rick for a job well done. I have no complaints about the Heartstone Inn. When planning a trip to Eureka Springs, be aware that restaurants do not stay open late. There are nice restaurants in Eureka Springs and some require reservations. Plan ahead. We ended up eating at a small restaurant called Myrtie Mae's. It's not fancy fare but delicious. This is somewhere you can take your children. Try their cinnamon roll. We also had dinner on the Eureka Springs and North Arkansas Railroad.

The location was very convenient to the activities we wanted to do. The breakfast was excellent each day and I loved have fresh baked goodies in the afternoon. Having bottled water available at no cost was an extra added amenity! I cannot think of anything I didn’t like.😊 The hosts were very attentive to our needs and helpful with suggestions and recommendations.

Joyce (10/5): Best B & B experience I've had. - I stayed in the Country Cottage and it was the perfect little get away - very nicely decorated and comfortable. The hosts were beyond gracious (available, not invasive) and served up a gourmet breakfast. The cookies left out for an afternoon treat were delicious and a nice touch. The microwave popcorn packets in the cabin were exactly what I was hoping for when I arrived. There is a trolley stop next to the inn which made it very convenient for getting around as driving and parking in Eureka Springs can be nerve-racking. The cabin had a strong musty odor when I arrived but there was a very nice room freshener provided for the bathroom that I used to control the smell.

Location was questionable, a little hard to find. Needed a microvave, coffee got cold and no way to warm it up. Shower needed the curve shower rod! A little tight on room.

Thomas (9/5): Excellent location, attentive hosts, beautiful scenery and the Arkansas community was exceptional. - Rick and Cheri were excellent hosts- Personable, informative, had great suggestions regarding things to do and where to shop, etc. They engaged us whenever we sat down for their delicious full plate breakfast, or. when, we sat in the main house living room resting or reviewing local restaurant ratings/ menus or places to go hike or shop. Nice couple who work really hard to ensure our stay was exceptional. The two person spa-bath was relaxing and enjoyable, particularly with a tv set in the bathroom. Our Volery Suite had a musty smell as it was on the deck level and located on the wooded side of the property. Rick cleaned the air conditioner filter and ensured the de-humidifier was turned on- Once that was done the room perked up and we enjoyed the accomodation.

Matthew (10/5): Beautiful place with amazing staff - We were only there for one night away.. Sadly. What an adorable place. There is wear and tear on the building, but it is an old building and we went in off season. It comes with all the quarks of a historic house. The service was amazing and our room was super cozy. Breakfast was delicious!!! Only negatives were no outlets by the bed for charging, and for some reason our bathroom was a very odd shape. So much so we took a pic of it as a keepsake.... Again, quarks of a historic home. Great place

They made us feel at home in their turn of the century Bed and Breakfast and Rick is masterful at preparing unique and sumptuous breakfasts that will stay with you most of the day. They both are knowledgeable of Eureka Springs and are very helpful to assist in places to see or up-coming events. They even helped advise us on good places to dine and have drinks. Our room, the Edwardian suite, was large and the king size bed made for very comfortable sleeping. A small refrigerator for keeping beverages cold and a Keurig coffee maker are welcome amenities to help you enjoy your stay. The weather didn't always cooperate so DVD's are provided for your viewing enjoyment along with cable TV. The Heartstone is conveniently located with easy access and close to just about anywhere you want to go in Eureka Springs. Thanks Rick and Cheri, we had a wonderful time at your establishment.

Tomas (10/5): Great B&B experience! - My wife and I visited Eureka Springs for the first time this past weekend and finding the right place to stay was tough. Though there are many cottages, B&Bs and hotels in the area most available options looked fairly dated, too old fashion for our like or simply yucky. Heartstone Inn had a couple of mini-suites available, and we liked the pictures and description of the property. Long story short we reserved one night and had a very pleasant experience. The room was just as described, clean, updated and nicely appointed. The owners Cheri and Rick were super nice and accommodating, parking right in front of the property and the breakfast was delicious! So if you are looking for a nice, clean, updated and charming place to spend a night/nights in Eureka Spring, we would definitely recommend the Heartstone Inn! We look forward to coming back soon!

The two cottages on the property are especially great for romantic or family getaways. Perfection!
Denbur (10/5): - One of the best B&B's we have ever visited! Cottages are cute and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and included fruit, egg dish, meat side, and muffin (all made fresh and from scratch) daily. The Inn provides free beverages throughout the day and a cookie for afternoon snack. The toiletries are quality products with lovely fragrances. The best part, however, is the customer service provided by innkeepers Cheri and Rick. They go out of their way to provide a memorable stay. We will be visiting again!

Hundreds of DVDs to choose from if you want to watch a movie in your room. And they have drinks and snacks around all the time. Highly recommend this B&B.

Room was comfortable and immaculate. If I was told to criticize something? There was a little bit of a musty smell from the AC?, (mild, not a dealbreaker), the showerhead needs to be changed to offer a better spray and change the pillows to better or softer. Just personal preference I guess but overall would definitely stay again and all the pluses of staying there far outweigh any minuses.

Stephanie (10/5): Great Place to Recharge and Relax - My best friend and I finally booked a long overdue girls trip to Eureka Springs, and we were immediately drawn to the Heartstone Inn's charm and location. When we arrived, we met the owners, Rick and Cheri. It's easy to see that they love what they do, and we felt welcomed instantly. From a binder full of local menus, sample trip itineraries, and even things like providing cool beverages and afternoon snacks, not a single detail was overlooked during our stay. The decor, view, and wildlife were all beautiful. We even got to see three does wander into the back area to grab a nibble to eat. As if all of this wasn't enough, the breakfast? Fantastic! We truly didn't want to leave. If and when I return to Eureka Springs, I know where I'll be staying again. I'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Book now - you won't be sorry!
