Guest Reviews
- Ian (6/5): Good location for a break - Late check-in availability easy to find Nothing
- Hisham (8/5): -
- Chenille (3/5): -
- Mayo (7/5): - Good location. Budget accom. Clean but basic. The shared bathroom facilities can be an issue when they are busy.
- Maree (7/5): - Location, staff Running shower noise, needs fixing as wasting a lot of water
Bit noisy
- STEPHEN (5/5): - Location was fine. Twin room ok but pretty much had to put everything on the floor. Both showers continually leaked and most days during our 3 day stay the floors were flooded in the bathrooms.
Showers were like warm only.
- Adam (10/5): -
- Michael & Kathie (8/5): Great location. Food was magnificent. Friendly staff. - I thought it was pretty good. When I tried to exit the next morning, I had to go out the main door and walk all the way around the back with my motorcycle gear. Not a big deal, but if the back gate was open, it would have been better.
- Norbert (8/5): - Location Noise from a party after 10 pm
- Sylvia (7/5): Convenience - Convenient. Close to railway station.Friendly staff Slightly noisy but ear plugs supplied
- Amanda (7/5): -
- Frances (7/5): Cheap and comfortable with easy access to all sites - Size of the room, nice bed, good shower, location The noise!
- Kilisitina (1/5): -
- Terence (3/5): Look elsewhere. - There wasn't a whole lot to like to tell the truth. The bed was pretty comfy and I guess the room was clean. The room was very small, think turning sideways to move around the bed and ducking under the TV small. I was awoken throughout the night by a constant banging, like someone using a hammer outside the window... it wasn't till the morning I discovered the wind was making the loose fitting window frame bang around. I also had a meal in the dining room and it was terrible.... and I mean really bad, think inedible. Had the kitchen not closed when I was done trying to eat it I would have thrown it back. Overall, for a bit more you could get a comfy Motel room... and then find a descent place to eat.
- Gregory (10/5): Will stay there every time I go to Tamworth if available. Home away from home. - For this location, it is all about the location and the heritage feel staying in an iconic Tamworth facility.
The cleaning staff are magicians at keeping the older style facilities in great shape. Shared bathrooms in this case, not a single concern. I cannot fault it.
- Rebecca (8/5): Good location. Great restaurant, good value meals. - Good location Share kitchen had kettle, toaster & microwave but no utensils or crockery.
- Wayne (9/5): A nice place to lay our heads in Tamworth. - We liked the historic nature of the hotel and it was in walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The staff were very friendly and the food at the bistro was very good. We stayed on a Friday night and it was a bit noisy but we were delighted to be provided with earplugs on our pillows, a thoughtful touch.
- Stuart (9/5): -
- Jessica (4/5): Clean, good location. No hot water in showers, beds were super uncomfortable. - Clean, friendly staff, great location, beautiful art deco building. No hot water in showers. Someone spat in the sink. Beds were hard and uncomfortable.
- Tammy (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Good simple hotel (location, facilities, staff, music, value) - Good simple hotel (location, facilities, staff, music, value)
- Austen (10/5): Clean room - Easy check in. Friendly staff nice clean room Nothing
- Adrian (7/5): Nice and close very handy for what i needed it for - Comfortable bed and air conditioning I was a little bit disappointed when it came to check out of the room I was 20 minutes late as I was getting my van registered and it took a lot longer than I thought due to been so busy. And when I returned to the hotel my bags was just dumped in the lobby of the 2nd floor there was a lot of valuables and money in my bag luckily nothing was taken .
- Angie (8/5): -
- Jeffrey (5/5): -
- Tim (10/5): - Great old pub
- Danielle (8/5): Over all the room was okay, it was clean and tidy. The share bathrooms were clean. Room and bed were a little small but - It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. The room was just a very small, bed was tiny for bigger framed people, and being a public holiday the pub was closed so had to go else where for dinner and a drink.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very friendly staff, great location easy walking distance to main street and for a pub room these are exceptionally clean with a comfy bed & pillows. $5 happy hour was also a bonus 😆🍺 Nothing
- Sue (9/5): Always enjoy staying at this pub, the rooms are always clean and tidy, staff are friendly :) - Location, comfort, clean, parking is easy I been staying here periodically for 20+ years, love the character of this pub and good to see the ladies pink tiled bathroom has not changed. Staff friendly and helpful , liked the beer garden It is a Pub so you have to expect a little noise

- Julianne (8/5): Good stay in a lovely, clean and reasonably priced, heritage hotel in a well located position opposite the train station - The location. The restaurant was excellent. Everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were much appreciated. The showers were well designed and clean. The cleaning staff member was lovely. Loved the fact that many of the original features of the hotel have been kept and maintained. The bands playing downstairs for four hours! Very noisy! If I had known I may have stayed elsewhere. No ensuites. Being a single female I hesitated to use the toilet overnight.
- Philip (9/5): Helpful friendly staff - Great staff, good value Nol

- Helen (7/5): The accommodation met my expectations. - I have stayed at the hotel previously. The accommodation is fair to good and I appreciate the central location close to the city shopping centretre There was too much music noise reverberating in the room in the late afternoon even with the complimentary ear plugs,
- cormac (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Was there for a cricket carnival. Was exactly want I wanted. Good location. Handy to town. - Lovely old Hotel. Amenities were clean. Staff were helpful. Meal I had was good. Certainly recommend and return. Nothing.

- Bourrel (8/5): -
- Jerome (6/5): -
- Elizabeth (6/5): Everything was good except the most important part - a peaceful night's sleep. - I like that they kept but updated traditional pub rooms. There was a compressor which cycled on and off all night loudly enough to wake me and the cleaners in the pub kicked on loud music under my room from about 6am
- Barbara (8/5): Overall with managing a very busy festival week, they did quite well, we were grateful to find somewhere to stay at such - Location, especially if you came up by train, which I did not but station is just across the road which I will remember for another time. The shared bathrooms were maintained well. The Confined space. No where to put your belongings, with double bed, one chair, one bedside table.. it is a tight squeeze for 2 people. The shared kitchen could be maintained better
- Darryl (6/5): -
- Samantha (4/5): Not worth the money. - Good location within town. Charged an astronomical amount of money for a 1 night stay in a room that didn’t have any bathroom facilities within the room & live music was playing right under us until all hours of the morning.
- Sammy (10/5): -
- Edward (1/5): -
- Mario (10/5): -
- Garry (8/5): - Bigger rooms
- warren (5/5): -
- Danny (7/5): -
- Chris (2/5): - It was not obvious that it had a shared bathroom. There were patrons that were very noisy late at night and my room was situated directly next to the kitchen and bathroom.
- Valerie (8/5): Food and msic were the bwst. Grilled Barramundi! Yum - Location Toilets. Not enough!
- Michelle (9/5): - The vibe is always great The bathroom needs more places to hang the clothes while you have a shower
- Hannah (8/5): -
- Aamir (7/5): Very small room with share bathroom overall cheap price but in Weeknd is busy and noisy. - If you stay on weekends then have no quiet
- Ana (5/5): -
- Virginia (9/5): The Tamworth hotel provided comfort, convenience and entertainment for our short stay in this great community. - Close to everything, own facilities to entertain N/a
- Thomas (5/5): Good location, poor comfort levels with the noise and lack of remote. - Clean, good location. Quite noisy overnight. Some sort of compressor noise on and off all night from the adjacent building. The tv had no remote in the room from what I could find.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Owyn (9/5): It’s a good place to stay, - Staff are accomodating
- Anthony (7/5): -
- McLaren (10/5): Clean comfort - Great location. Clean and comfortable room. Great bathroom facilities. Earplugs provided were a great addition!
- Minh (1/5): - 1 - Shower and Toilet together ( Option should have Toilet Separate as well ), 2 - Location Excellent 1 - Water is not drain in the Bath, 2 - Too noise at 2:30am and Also constantly noise of Door being open and Close due to Hinge not replace ( too OLD ? and / or Not greasing / Oil ), 3 - Beer is NOT too Cold at ALL, 4 - No Car park provide ( OFF-Street )
- Mikala (6/5): -
- Anna (8/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): - Basic but clean. Staff was great, good communication Good bed and share bathroom.
- Aimee (8/5): Better than we expected. Nicely renovated and comfortable - We didnt eat breakfast there. There was nothing to sit my toiletry bag on in the bathroom. Just needs a stool or chair in there

- Cusack (10/5): -
- Clive (8/5): Good food, classic country bar, rooms clean with individual fully renovated bathrooms - Good food, classic country bar, rooms clean with individual fully renovated bathrooms (not within rooms) but very close. Close to town & train station

- Veselin (9/5): -
- Colin (7/5): Convenient location, nice food. - Central location, nice courtyard and food. Small rooms and noisy, but that was expected.
- Adam (6/5): -
- Sylvia (7/5): Basic and clean - Basic, but clean and friendly staff. Great location for access to the train station and coach travel. All I needed for changing the coach trips Was a bit anxious about the shared bathroom but I didn't encounter anyone else. It was a single room. There is a handbasin in the room and a small kitchenette at the end of the corridor
- Garden (10/5): -
- Emma (7/5): -
- Brendan (9/5): -
- Joy (9/5): - The building is a magnificent heritage experience.
Best restaurant food, devine meals.
Very comfortable safe room & soft bed, air-conditioned.

- Inaam (5/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Cold beers and good meal after a long drive, pool table and local music a bonus! - Great country pub accommodation... simple rooms with shared bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Old pub charm. Lovely staff. Awesome bar. Great meals. Parking out the front. Night was perfect with a few games of pool and local music night, where it seems everyone in the pub played an instrument! Fridge in the shared kitchenette was packed... could be a large number of guests. Maybe consider a larger fridge?
- RICHARD (9/5): A comfortable stay in a nice Hotel - The Tamworth Hotel was very nice. All was as expected
