- sudheer (8/5): Average. Good for a night. - Staff was good. Breakfast was standard - fruits, bread, omlette. View from room was decent. Room was ok. Bed was good. No fans and ac but not needed in nuwara. Climbing 3 floors to the restaurant with no lift. the Bathroom toilet seat was small for my liking. Photos looked more modern than actually there. Walking from downtown meant a climb up the hill.

Los enchufes no funcionan bien, y solamente había una pequeña calefacción portátil, lo cual para el clima del lugar es muy poco. Hacia mucho frío en la habitación y la ventana del baño no se podía cerrar. Por las otras ventana entraba bastante aire y en el baño había bastante moho. Los colchones no eran nada cómodos, se notaban los muelles.

- borisLMM (10/5): Well worth the stay - Two rooms to fit in our family of four, suited us perfectly. The hotel is a few minutes from the town centre, but that was probably a plus. It was quiet, with great views over the valley. The lovely people there gave us probably the best breakfast of our trip - hot, fresh to order and delivered with a huge smile.

The breakfast is prepared based on your food preference and at your preferred time. You get a view of Lake Gregory from the terrace. You can also pay here by card if you are short of cash without paying any extra fee. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and ready to go the extra mile to help. Wifi connection was not that good. There was a router installed on each floor, and we were told that the problem was temporary only for that day. The room doors were not so intuitive to lock.

- Dous_trip (10/5): Recommendation - The family who runs the hotel is very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi is available on every floor. The absolute Highlight is the Breakfast room: you sit on top of the building with windows to every side and you have a fantastic view on the mountains.

Grande disponibilité. Tv et wifi fonctionnent par intermittance. La dame de l'accueil et du petit dejeuner est charmante et tres serviable. Son petit dejeuner avec tout fait maison comme les crepes, omelettes et pancake est excellent. L'adresse est à recommander et sa position tres centrique à Newara Elya rends tres facile faire tout à pied. Top et encore bravo à la gérante!

- Louise (6/5): Pleasant - The bigger rooms with view seem nice from what we saw, and the personnel is very attentionate The price-quality of the budget room is not good, since the room is very small, the only stained window faces a wall and a kitchen from which you have noises. I'm sure the bigger rooms are nice, but for budget and no view you can find nicer rooms closer to the centre.

- Charlotte (7/5): Average room but very nice staff - The staff was so friendly and helpfull. The location was good. Breakfast was very good! The shower and pressure of the water was excellent. Our (budget) room was next to the restaurant of the neighbors hotel. They had no windows and ours were very thin. So we could hear everything and you had to close the curtains otherwise they could see everything. So it was quit noisy. The bathroom smells a bit and the last morning you could smell cigarettes (from a guest?).

- ChrisW5129 (10/5): Superb place to stay in Nuwara Eliya - We have had an excellent stay at this small family run hotel. Our room was large and beautiful with lovely furnishings, a balcony, and a very clean modern bathroom. Everything from the bed linen to the towels and toiletries were of a great standard. The location is great - we walked to most places from here. Best of all, we could not have had a more welcoming stay. We were offered advice on things to do, and when I mentioned we were vegan we were presented with a box of freshly made vegan coconut pancakes and fruit at 5.30am!! on a morning that we needed to leave early for a trip. This place also offers excellent value for money considering the high standard of the accommodation. I cannot recommend it enough.
- tomac1957 (10/5): Very nice - We were welcomed by the lovely owner and her staff member who carried our cases and hepled in the kitchen. It was very cold when we stayed at the end of October but with the heater in our room and the extra blankets it was warm and cosy. We were treated to homemade curries for dinner which were delicious and breakfast that was more than plentiful. The eating area sits at the top of the house with a view over the village and surrounds. It takes about 10 minutes to walk into town, the area is safe and very quiet. A good experience in a homestay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property has a wonderful view and rooms overlooking Nuwara Eliya. The staff are kind and diligent, especially as there were so few of them when we stayed! The food was great also. There are lots of stairs and no disabled access, so may be unsuitable for some less able travellers. The building is a little tired and could use some small refurbishments, but it still makes an entirely pleasant place to stay
- JanB270 (6/5): Very homely - This is quite a quirky hotel with a lovely lady running it. The room was spacious with a brilliant view overlooking the town and surrounding area. There are lots of steps with no lift but lots of help with the luggage when checking in and out. The Breakfast room is at the top of the building with awesome views of the whole area and the breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The furnishing and bathroom were a bit old fashioned but this added to the feel of the hotel. There is a long walk downhill into the town (where all the restaurants and bars are located) around 15mins and a longer walk back up the hill - not well lit at night
- Advisor_Mio (6/5): OK - From outside it doesn’t look good, but our room was spacey and clean, with fairly basic equipment, aircon and free wifi. Breakfasts provided. Helpful and willing staff. A down side is that there are at least three floors with no lift, so if you have a room on an upper floor you need to be fit. All in all it’s rather a good guest house than a hotel, but it’s an OK place to stay.
- 209siddharthm (10/5): Great place, lovely owners! - We were a group of 20 people who stayed here for 2 days, and it was a great stay. The rooms are amazing with lovely views of the mountains from each balcony. The whole house is very modern with great amenities. But the thing that made our stay all the more worthwhile was the owners. They go out of your way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are so sweet that you will really really enjoy their hospitality (and be sure to enjoy their breakfast). The house is located in a great part of nuwara elia with numerous cafes and restaraunts nearby, and is nearby all the major sightseeing spots!
- kairasim (8/5): Amazing Rooms! - My family and me stayed at the property and we just loved our stay! It was nicely set at the top of the hilly area, with an amazing view out of our balconies. We booked 2 duplex studio rooms, which was a really good decision. Highly recommended if you want a relaxed stay with no disturbances and the best room design for your family.
- Alexander (8/5): A decent hotel outside the city center - It was a decent hotel with a very sweet older couple running it. They were very nice and helpful and made good homemade breakfast up on the roof. The location was pretty bad, outside the city center and up a steep hill and quite hard to find. The walk between the hotel and city center was not very pleasant. The room was quite nice and big but could get cold at night so you had to use a portable heater. One of the neighboring hotels played extremely loud music at night and made it hard to sleep, but there is not much the hotel can do to fix that.

- SubhashMenon (10/5): Small but sweet sty - Had a small but sweet stay for a day. The place is a bit off from the lake and town. Nice and helpful hosts. Pros: Wonderfully helpful staff. Nicely maintained. Excellent cook. Had a wonderful breakfast. Cons: A little bit away from main area but cant have all at the price. Tips: Go for the duplex. Also try the roti and chicken curry for sure
- Lars Kristian (8/5): Koselig lite men stort hotell. - Vi hadde en fin opplevelse på dette hotellet. Det var mørkt når vi ankom så vi var spent. Rommet var stort men kaldt. Heldigvis var det ovn og dyne der. Frokosten var fantastisk på taket i et glasshus. De som jobbet der var umulig å ikke bli glad i. God tur 🙂

Staff was friendly and kind enough to listen to our requests specially they were happy to change the breakfast for us. Our room didn't had the best view because of the construction work going on in that area.

- Tone3103 (8/5): Great value - Stayed here for 2 nights in off season. It is very close to The Grand Hotel and an easy walk into the city. The room is quite basic, the furniture is a little old, but everything is clean, and we had a nice view over the vegetable gardens. What makes this place is the staff. They are so warm and friendly, and the lady makes the most amazing breakfast, she is a fantastic cook. It’s a Sri Lankan breakfast, and so tasty. There is also fruit and toast. I wish we had eaten here at night too, as I’m sure the dinner would have been every bit as good as the breakfast. All in all, this place is well worth the money, and great value for Nuwara Eliya.

- cmcnallyJanJuc (10/5): Fantastic value for money - We stayed at Manudi for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Probably one of our favourites during our 3 week stay in Sri Lanka. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We only had breakfast at the guesthouse and wished afterwards that we had dinner there too as the Sri Lankan breakfast we had there was the best we had. The lovely lady cooking was so friendly & eager to please. When she found out that I couldn't eat Roti bread because of my gluten intolerance she provided me with tice and a beautiful home made chilli & tomato relish to give it more flavour. I would have loved to take a jar of it home with me. Overall I would highly recommend this guest house.

When we came to the hotel, They was a man, who is very hard-work person that came and ask is there any other luggers. There were a lady in the reception she has very help full. The check-in was very quick & they were upgrade our room as well. The chairman has told to that lady to give as an upgrade, So we got an good view & a big room can accommodated 3 people.Thanks to the chairman to giving us a good room. The dinner was super and as well as the breakfast. The lady and man was very very kind. They were like our best friends. To be honest, the hotel well be an a 4 star hotel because it as 4 star amenities in the hotel. The hotel is located near the city, its 5 minutes walking distance. As I am a receptionist I recommending this hotel is good & safe. I wish them a very good life. Keep it up.

- vrishipatil (10/5): Excellent hotel and rooms with good home cooked food - The staff Mala & Kumar inlcuding owners as well were very welcoming. We stayed there for one night but wish if we could have stayed back for another night. The rooms are really very good and heater is provided in them as it gets very cold in the evening. The breakfast and dinner were very nicely prepared as we had asked for. Dont forget to have pan cakes with coconut filling.
