Guest Reviews
- Diane F (8/5): - We arrived at night (9:30 pm-ish), driving in past a closed motel and —in front of Executive Inn— a closed restaurant. There were little to no lights on in lobby, but fortunately a woman came to the desk and got us a key. We were pleased that the room was clean and pleasant, bathroom too. Newly painted it seemed. TV and bathroom worked, beds comfy.
This motel is near highway, but with fan of a/c unit on, it did not keep me awake (whew). So if you need a place just to sleep for the night, moving on to eat breakfast elsewhere, this was a slightly creepy but good deal. I suspect it’s a family owned business— not a corporate cookie cutter.
- Francis (8/5): Good rest - Old building but everything was clean and in good shape. Nice and quiet rest on a road trip
- Diana (10/5): Nice, Good Value - This was a nice motel - clean, convenient, friendly staff. The only thing needed would be a coffee pot in the room. I will definitely stay here again.
- Paul (8/5): - Large, clean room, comfortable bed. Tables, though, are nowhere near power outlets or USB plugs.
- Robert (10/5): Nice no frills hotel - Nice no frills hotel. The room was big, clean and was great for an overnight stay.
- James (10/5): Nice place to stop. - Excellent motel. Only negatives were the lack of cafe or restaurants nearby - the only source of food was Subway at the Love’s across the I-40. No coffee service at the motel either.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A Hidden Gem - A great value! I’d stay again. This place looked nice and our room was renovated and clean and comparatively inexpensive.
I was visiting Goodnight and Clarendon the next day and only 20-30 minutes away.
We did settle for the nearest Subway
for dinner and a Mexican cafe in Claude for breakfast.
The Hotel.com address and our gps would have taken us past the motel but by chance we drove by it, so aim for
I-40 & 207 near Conway.
- Linda (8/5): - The room was clean the lady at the front desk just kind of iffy All we do is sleep there and shower there because we spend the rest of time with our family so it was good for overall price
- Selma (8/5): Nice place - This was a nice place to stay
- Sandra (6/5): - Pillows were old, wore out and very small.
- FREDERICK (2/5): EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! AWFULLY TREATED! - Horrible treatment.... drove 12 hours only to arrive and be told that no pet's were allowed!!!! 11:00 PM AND WE WERE TOLD TO GO ELSEWHERE!!!
The website said that PETS WERE allowed!!! Lady was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!
- Ray (8/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): Great value - This is a hidden gem
Very clean and comfortable
- Ana (10/5): - Great little stop after a long travle, the place was very clean and quiet, and well priced
- Allyn (10/5): Clean rooms, Friendly staff - Nice clean rooms. Simple no frills, but was a nice place to stop for the night between driving.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was clean, but if you need a shower, don't depend on that happening here, very low water pressure. If you are a smoker they tote smoking rooms but when you get there they don't. They are quiet cause not mang rooms are rented
- Shawn (2/5): Don’t stay here - Was the only person staying at the motel and was made to feel like an inconvenience even as I was just checking in. Room was somewhat clean but the bathroom was gross and the shower barely worked.
- Ginger (8/5): travel - great
- Margaret (4/5): - Bed squeaky ever time we moved. Bathroom not that clean
- dale e (10/5): - This was a gem and a pleasant surprise. Room was very clean and neat, it was very apparent that was is an older property has been updated and very nice.
- Tom (10/5): - Room was very clean
- Alacey (10/5): Great little place - Wonderfully welcoming staff, imacculate room. we will stay here again.
- Lawerance (6/5): - Manager was hard to understand. We each had to repeat ourselves.
- Karen (2/5): - Good Lord no way should this property be listed on Expedia. Horrible place. Doors to rooms were broken, some hanging open, huge holes in the parking lot, total run down shack of a motel. Took one look and drove on! Expedia please remove this listing it is beyond beneath an acceptable place to stay.
- Dave (6/5): Read the latest on the house rules before you book - Had to move on as they no longer welcome pets. Change of ownership since my last stay.
- Heidi (10/5): Well worth the price - Well worth the price! Scored with this king room. Great mattress and fluffy towels. No extras like coffee or breakfast, but plenty of hot water and spacious rooms. And it’s right next to the quirky attraction The Slug Bug Ranch!
- james (8/5): Ants 🐜 - Stay was fine, until we through trash in the trashcan. An hour later turned on the light & found ants inside & outside the can & floor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Only thing I didnt like was the fact I lost pajama bottoms.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I woke up with a lot of bug bites. We could not leave fast enough
- Diane (8/5): - Very comfortable and clean
- Susan (8/5): - Only killed one bug but I am in panhandle,to!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean refurbished motel. Conveniently located directly off interstate. Comfortable bed.
Not familiar with area as we were just traveling through. Motel was just outside of city of Alamo. Sat alone off interstate with a gas station on the other side of interstate. Darker area.
- Hether (2/5): Awful experience - They turned us away because we had a service dog. I have never not been allowed to stay somewhere because of my dog. We have her papers and everything. Awful experience.
- Brian (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - Place is clean and comfortable. Good one night stay east of Amarillo. There is road noise, but with air conditioner on, it blocked out the noise. Two beds, microwave, mini fridge and very clean. There is new flooring. No frills but worth the stay.
- erlin (8/5): Would stay again - A bit hidden, but cozy place. Loved the beds
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice big parking lot
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stop off to sleep - Nice room for sleeping. Not many amenities but good stop off to sleep.
- Salvador (10/5): Rest spot - It was a nice little place to stop at to get some rest before getting home. The only thing is it might need more lighting since it was a little hard to spot. But overall it was clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very dirty carpet and smelly bed sheets, disgusting bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was good except they kicked us out at 10 instead of 11. Says in the lobby 11 but they called the room and wanted us to leave at 10.
- Peter (8/5): - Very easy to get to from Interstate 40: easy on, easy off. A truck stop was 1 minute away. Simple, inexpensive.
- Ken (6/5): - Check in was horrible. Couldn’t understand the clerk and she couldn’t find our reservation. Not like it mattered. The place was empty. Would have gone somewhere else but there was a snowstorm and was just happy to get off the road.
- Meed (2/5): - Hotel clerk was not wearing a mask. Hotel room was musty and hot. There was no soap or other cleaning product type amenities. Room did not feel clean. Doors had been repaired from outside-why? I actually left and did not spend the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Inexpensive hotel for a moving trip
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was clean, staff was a little confused. They at first said they didn’t accept Orbitz. I showed her my receipt and we got it worked out. Only negative was no in room coffee maker.
- Tina (10/5): Nice place - Very comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Awesome Stop Right Off the Road! - I was friendly greeted once I walked in (10:00 p.m.). The room was private, parking right out the room door, and refrigerator in room. That was helpful, my disabled grandfather was able to store his insulin with no worries, and refreeze his ice packs for the “road cooler”. He was able to maneuver the room nicely. Sleep was nice. Check out was easy.
- Marie (6/5): Ho-Hum everything - It was ok for the price. Our 87 year old blind father was with us and they did not have anything accessible on a level that would be easy for us; though 90% of their rooms where unoccupied. Also requested a late checkout so that I our disabled father could wait in the room with our friend while we worked on getting tire for the trailer we’re hauling from CA to NC. The entire reason we got 2 rooms to begin with. Needless to say, when a 2 hour late checkout was requested; an additional 30min was granted because housekeeping likes being off by 2pm. So reworking timelines and some magic we got out on time.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Desk attendant wasn’t happy that we got a lower price on Expedia. Not friendly at all but the room served the purpose of keeping us safe during winter storm. Plus room smelled of weed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient, reasonable price, and excellent staff.
- Richard (10/5): Very Pleasantly Surprised - We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was for the price.
