- Bertoldpm (8/5): Warm and quiet - It is very well equipped house, easy to warm in winter months. Easy to walk to the different trails from here. The electric blankets and the firewood was really a plus. Early check-out; would be nice to have some kind of place to leave your backpack if needed (was talking the bus at 15h30, so had to carry my backpack for hours around Freycinet).
- Rosalie (10/5): Exceptional -

We enjoyed dinners at Iluka Tavern which is only a short walk away and made it to Freycinet Lodge to watch the sunset and enjoy a meal on the balcony - Gumnut Cottage was the perfect getaway for us - thoroughly enjoyable.

- Emily (8/5): Well-appointed, comfortable accommodation in a beautiful location. - Exceptionally well—appointed kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Every appliance or utensil you could need. Fabulous location.
- John (8/5): Very good - What breakfast? The place was DOUBLE BOOKED by booking.com. This caused a lot of stress but agent found alternative place for the second arrival. There was a serious plumbing leak out the back and quite a lot of ants.
- Jim (10/5): Had a wonderful stay, very homey feel - It’s very homey feel and has welcoming feel. The cottage is fully equiped with everything you need, the kitchen has full set if you like cooking, laundry is provided with everything, the beds are comfortable, also entertainment such as board games, books, and tv, dvd player, etc. We had a good stay.
- David (8/5): Very good - Convenient location , 600 m walk to Wineglass Bay cruise terminal. Well equipped, fast WiFi. Washing machine provided. Comfortable lounge. Trip hazard ledges leading to toilet. (Kicked toes at night). Have to reverse out onto main road from steep driveway.
- Johanne (10/5): Felt like home - Great location and very comfortable Nothing
- Tana (7/5): Cosy & homey. - It is an authentic 1980’s cedar cottage that is well located for visiting Freycinet. It is very spacious with lots of natural light in the living area, extremely well fitted kitchen and the host was very kind to provide basic cooking necessities. Beds were very comfortable. Oh and a great black box fireplace with lots of wood! The linen was clean and crisp and kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. However it was extremely dusty particularly behind the beds and corners. In some cases there was a combination of dust and cobwebs. There are few little things like missing light bulb in the laundry. Small things, if corrected would make the stay even better.
- Marianne (8/5): Very comfortable, convenient and relaxing! - The house is very nicely decorated, great kitchen stuff, beautiful beds, technology all very clear!!!!! The only problem was the water pressure in the shower - really tricky to get it to the right temp.
- G (7/5): Good -
- Giselle (10/5): - Gum nut cottage is lovely. It’s spacious and well set up with everything you need, including a coffee press and pantry staples. I would definitely stay here again.
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect position. Everything that you need provided. We would have lived to stay longer. Charging station for anyone wit - We loved everything. Everything we could have wanted was provided and more. It was in a great position. Lived the funky decor. View to the Hazards from the deck. We couldn’t fault anything. Loved everything.
- Deborah (10/5): - Bright clean warm and very inviting
Cheers
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Great location. Fireplace was super-nice on a chilly, rainy night.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Peter (4/5): - Property was clean and everything worked. On noisy road, garden unusable, hole in wall papered over, toilet at opposite end of house to bathroom, one toilet and bathroom.Good place to crash after being out all day, way overpriced
- Trevor (8/5): Very good - Not applicable.
- Kylie (6/5): average - proximity too much clutter
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Passable -
- Anita (8/5): - Lovely cosy clean cottage, located conveniently, close to all the nearby attractions.
- Shelly (8/5): Very good -
- Anneke (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (8/5): - Lovely house close to Coles Bay beach
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fully self contained cottage. Close to the shops and walks.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent property and a reasonable price and a prime location. Such a wonderful home, so much room with wonderful facilities. We only had 2 but 4 people would be perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was good although an odd design. I.e the bathroom is on the opposite side of house to bedrooms accessed via the kitchen.
We used the blanket warmer and portable heater to keep the room warm as we couldn’t get the fireplace started so the rest of the house was cold.
We had to wash and return all used dishes and cutlery to their original location otherwise incur a fee.
It was an old property but well maintained and had everything we needed. Bedroom was comfortable and shower was hot.
- Penelope (10/5): Good value and close to everything - Clean and orderly , plenty of kitchen cooking equipment. Close to both the town center and also the tavern.
Beautiful view of the mountains even not being on the waterfront.Only suggestion would be a highlight strip on the steps to the loo. Will stay again for sure
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable Cottage - Gumnut cottage was ideally located. It had all the extra touches that made it feel like home.
- laura & anna (6/5): Nice location, average cottage - We liked that we were so close to the National Park.
The electric stove & cooktop were terrible- extremely hard to cook on.
There were no basic amenities-like hand soap near the toilet or kitchen sink.
The fire was nice but only two pieces of wood so didn’t stay lit for too long (even with the flu closed).
My friend had the bunk room and woke up with an extremely sore back the bed was so bad.
And one towel each wasn’t great for long hair.
