Nash (4/5): - We travel all over the world and after being here three times the restaurant has average food that s wildly overpriced, and like everywhere else in this entire hotel service is at a bare minimum. God forbid you wanted to get two drinks over five or six hour period at the pool it would be impossible. The girls just stand around and talk to the other staff members and even going up to the bar at the pool is difficult to get a drink. Another extremely irritating thing they do is they offer you the lousiest wine , complimentary between four and five, but if you were standing there and somebody else was in front of you and it hit 5 o'clock, they'd say sorry and wouldn't pour you a little 2 ounce glass, It happened during each of our stays We stayed at the hotel twice in the last month and for a total of five days ... I think we gave it a very fair assessment

Luanne (9/5): - The room and staff were fantastic, and the beds were very comfy. The rooftop pool was very nice. Although the location was right downtown and close to everything, it just felt a little cramped in, with a less desirable view from the lovely balcony. Not really the fault of the hotel.

Elizabeth (10/5): - Best part about the hotel is that it is centrally located in downtown Palm Springs and Pet friendly. Staff was very friendly and pool area had a great vibe! Two small complaints but would not deter me from staying there again….music during the day at the pool needs to be updated and more mainstream music. My car was valet in an open lot next to the hotel with no coverings for three days, should be underground parking when it’s 100 plus and it’s included in resort fee so you don’t have an option ton self park.

Michael (2/5): - Front desk clerk - Deja- was horrible. The most disrespectful person I have encountered in a very long time. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Be careful if you complain. The rest of the staff is immediately informed and they all avoid you and treat you like you have a contagious disease. For the prices we paid, this person at the front desk set the tone for the remainder of our stay. She should be fired and not permitted to work anywhere she has to interact with the public. Maybe a remote job although I am sure her true colors would come out as well. In addition, she is prejudiced against LGBTQ individuals. There are plenty of other places to stay in Palm Springs. Don’t stay here as it is not worth the hype.

Houston (2/5): - The air conditioner shut off in the middle of the night. They reset it and sent someone in to check it who tried to tell me it was on the whole time. It wasn’t. Then the fire alarm started going off in the early morning. I come out my room and someone tells me it’s a fire drill. I call the front desk and they confirm. Said they left notes in the rooms and told me at check in. They did not. Unfortunately not a great experience and worse, they tried to cover it up instead of taking responsibility for it. Any other hotel would have comped the stay. The GM should fire himself.

And the team was utterly phenomenal The room service being healthy, organic, flavorful and seed oil free was a giant PLUS and will make us want to return zero-- it was our most favorite hotel of our entire lives and have stayed all over the world

Asian guy working at the bar super rude. Slow, got upset because I’d ordered food while at chairs and came by the bar to watch the games on the tv in the shade - I paid for accomodations via booking.com miscommunication between the app and the property led to me being told at check in that I was being charged for incidentals but in actuality it was room rate plus incidentals. Double charge, no biggie just annoying. Called front desk had to escalate to manager, both conversations were a waste of time. Beautiful view at the dinner restaurant upstairs and from the pool but not worth

Julian (4/5): Trouble in Paradise - The Kimpton is beautiful and in a great location, BUT unfortunately, our trip was less than stellar. First, we purchased a cabana and planned to spend the entire day eating and lounging by the pool. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed due to sewer drainage issues. And yes, it smelled just like that. As such, we were instructed to order from the cafe menu. The wait staff, although nice, were incredibly slow. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper for over two hours. The toilet in our room was broken, so every time you flushed, the ballcock would lift the top of the toilet and then drop it. All in all, it wasn't worth the money. I am sure when it's running at 100% it's probably a lot better.

To be told that if I join right now, they can extend a 30 minute grace period for check out was insulting. Great location with amazing roof top view but I will be going to the Thompson hotel on my next visit to Palm Springs.
