• G5848XYheathera (10/5): Top notch service and a great location! - I stayed at this location for a conference and would recommend it for a few reasons: •Heaven checked me in and was so kind, professional, and helpful! •The check out staff that was working around noon on April 12 was equally as helpful and friendly as Heaven was when I checked in. •The valet parking staff was always so positive! The gentlemen who just started a couple weeks ago (was at another location previously) was incredible. A driver had parked and was very rude but the valet staff member didn’t it let it get to him. He just proceed to assist with total professionalism. Wish I would’ve gotten his name. •Sam at the restaurant took the time to share menu ideas and was an excellent server. In fact, because of her, I returned to the restaurant on a few occasions. •The hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance to many spots. •Hotel is very clean and housekeeping staff did a phenomenal job each day.

I had some bicycles, so it was a little bit more work for them. Keila, at front desk, was so darn nice and helpful and fun to talk to. Great breakfast, great servers.

• Luiz Cesar (6/5): It’s not a Meridian as i know. - It’s a bit old and needs renovations. Average service. Due to some oversight, my room was not cleaned or tidied up. The room door had been renovated, but the finishing work was left undone(picture). Sad.
• OnAir778740 (2/5): Confirmed Reservation Was Not Honored - I had a confirmed reservation for March 9–11, but when we arrived to check in on the 9th, the hotel told us they could not find our reservation and that they only saw it starting on March 10. They also said they had no rooms available. After showing them my confirmation email (which clearly listed March 9–11), the front desk staff checked their system and confirmed that their records showed the same dates. At that point we were told that our room had been reassigned because other guests who were expected to check out had not left, and the hotel no longer had a room available for us. The most frustrating part was that we were never contacted ahead of time. The manager told us they realized earlier in the afternoon that the rooms would not be available, but we were not notified before arriving at the hotel. After traveling and expecting to check in, being told there was no room available was extremely stressful. The following morning we called to confirm our reservation moving forward and received conflicting information again, with the system showing that we had “missed” our check-in the previous day. Mistakes and unexpected situations can happen, but what was most disappointing was the lack of communication and the confusion from the staff about what had happened. A simple phone call earlier in the day could have saved us a lot of stress and allowed us to make other arrangements.

• John (1/5): Could've been better - Checked in, got sent to a room that was either already occupied or was not cleaned before our arrival. Beds were unmade, towels on the floor, trash everywhere. Desk lady got us a new room, keys worked fine all day and then stopped around 5am. Got locked out of the room for an hour waiting on maintenance to unlock the door. Cleaning lady walked into the room while we were in it, did no knock or anything.

I appreciated an upgraded room. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The breakfast next day was excellent.

The atmospheric music in the checkin area on the 2nd floor and up the elevators was loud enough to be heard by my friend on the other end of my phone conversation. The music in the 2nd floor gathering area was so loud that I could not enjoy the area. The room noise was excellent and no issue. The room was clean and for the money this is a fantastic option.

• veronicahX4398TY (10/5): First Time Experience - The location was centralized for all that were visiting and only a 20 minute drive to the training location. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. My room was more than what I expected, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and nice. Although I am not aware of what the cost was for the 2 nights I was there, I'm sure it was worth it, as all those traveling from out of town were booked at Le Meridien. No complaints about cleanliness. From the moment I entered the lobby, check-in, elevators, hallway and finally my room, everything was clean and inviting. Other than the music as I headed towards the elevator and the occasional door closing, the noise level was great! I truly enjoyed going downstairs in the morning and getting a great latte from your Barista!

We ended up getting sick right when we got in the hotel room so it made it hard for us to want to do things. We asked for extra pillows and it took them almost an hour. People constantly knocking on the door when we didn’t request anything.

We ate snacks here chicken sandwich and prawn battered. And had dessert in main restaurant a ice cream and creme brulee. Overall the Le meridien is central downtown with great staff and atmosphere.

Please refund my $403.03 I was over charged, I have to expense these - Clean, friendly staff My booking was for 14 nights from 4 - 18th, but as can be seen from this it shows 3 - 17th. I complained that my stay was till 18th and was told it would be resolved. At the end I was over charged by $403.03 for my stay, which I have sent a mail on requesting for that refund. It was also a bit difficult to sleep most nights because of the noise of traffic.
• Mohammadbari (6/5): Le Méridien Houston Downtown: Great Design, Lacking in Hospitality and Elite Acknowledgment - While the property has potential and a modern design aesthetic, the experience fell short of what one expects from a Le Méridien under the Marriott Bonvoy umbrella—especially for an elite (Gold) member. Check-in was quick and efficient, but the interaction highlighted a recurring issue across many Le Méridien properties: a lack of proactive elite recognition. Despite messaging the property ahead of arrival to inquire about an upgrade, the reply claimed that the hotel was “almost sold out.” Yet, upon checking the Marriott app, higher-category suites were still available for booking. This inconsistency suggests either poor communication between departments or an unwillingness to extend complimentary upgrades—even when available. By contrast, brands such as Hilton (especially Conrad and Curio) and IHG (Kimpton and InterContinental) tend to be more transparent and generous with upgrades for loyal members. The assigned room was comfortable and well-maintained, though not quite what one envisions when booking a “Premium Suite.” Pros • Spacious layout with a clean, minimalist design. • Comfortable bed and bedding. • Functional work desk, decent lighting, and ample outlets. • Modern bathroom with an excellent illuminated mirror and rainfall-style shower. • In-room espresso machine and mini-fridge. Cons • The “city view” mainly faced another office building; limited natural light. • Sparse décor—the space feels more like an upgraded standard room than a suite. • Closet storage is minimal for a premium-category room. • Air-conditioning and hallway noise were occasionally noticeable. Le Méridien Houston Downtown delivers a clean and comfortable stay, but lacks the hospitality warmth and consistency that frequent travelers expect from Marriott’s premium tier. For business travelers or quick stays, it suffices. For loyalty members expecting elite recognition or aspirational service, it disappoints. Would I return? Perhaps, but only if rates are favorable or other Marriott options downtown are sold out. Otherwise, brands like JW Marriott Downtown or Hilton Americas Houston provide a more rewarding experience for elite members.
