On the description it does not specify that you can't bring food, only coolers and alcohol, and you are not allowed to bring or have any food at the house, not even using the dinning tables they have to serve breakfast, which makes it uncomfortable if you get hungry. One of the owners was rude to my partner, as he misunderstood where to park our car and the owner just started scolding him, which made the rest of our stay a bit awkward.

They gave us excellent recommendations for beaches to go to where we could rent umbrellas and lounge chairs. Every morning we were served a very appetizing breakfast. They were also very accommodating and allowed my brother and dog, who were staying at another B&B to come over and hang out with us in the pool area! I made a mistake with my booking plans and realized it within 30 minutes of booking but they refused to cancel or offer any refund. There should be some understanding when mistakes happen. Also, the bathroom was separate from the bedroom.

• Jeisson Nicolas (10/5): A true home away from home - B&B El Litoral is more than just a place to stay — it feels like home. The house is cozy, clean, and beautifully organized. You can access the entire property, including spaces for yoga, a spa, and a lovely pool. I’d even call it a mini boutique hotel. The best part is Ana Marie, the manager and owner, whose kindness and love make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It’s just two blocks from the beach and close to several local stores, making it the perfect escape for relaxation and peace.

The property itself was amazing, but add her in and it was truly a one of a kind experience. Thank you so much! The only thing that I would change is next time I will stay longer.

It’s located right in the center of Coronado, just a 7-minute walk to the beautiful beach with calm, warm water. What makes this place special is that it doesn’t feel like a hotel—it truly feels like a home away from home. The owner is very friendly and always ready to share helpful information about Coronado and Panama in general, its attractions, and the culture. We really enjoyed our stay, and if we return to Coronado, we will definitely stay here again.

She clearly enjoys her guests and helping them make the most of their visit. She was easily available to answer questions, and yet, there was plenty of privacy and space for quiet time. The room was good: the A/C worked well, there was plenty of storage space (closets, bedside tables, under sink baskets), the beds/pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was organized well and clean and bright. The pool was always clean and inviting. There are multiple sitting areas throughout the property: indoors and out. The back patio and pool are are some of the best parts of the property. The variety of breakfasts during a one week stay was good. The presentation of the breakfasts was beautiful. On some days, we would have liked a little more protein. The juices and fruits were amazing. It was nice to have both pool and beach towels available for use. The outdoor shower was great for use after the pool and beach visits. The location is good and safe.

It's freely roaming the common areas and has access to guest rooms. When it shakes its head liquid flies off of it. We left immediately after discovering this and were fortunate enough to only lose one night's rate which the owner did not refund and who got overly defensive when confronted about this obvious health concern.

We were expecting basic continental breakfasts, but got a different 5-star home-made, delicious, healthy breakfast each day. The pool was delighful, and the B&B was very comfortable and well maintained. The hosts' big hearts showed through in every aspect of the home. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and were super helpful with advice on the best beaches and the best places to see. They offer a lot of services, including tours and yoga classes. Would definitely recommend the place, and choose to stay here again.

Her property is lovely, and we felt as though we were long-standing friends. The beach and a nice restaurant are within walking distance. Due to an unforeseen personal issue, we had to leave early. I can't wait to return for a longer stay. I have no criticism to offer.

The location was perfect for our needs to explore Panama West and Cocle. Breakfast was varied, fresh and very good. Pretty garden/pool area. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby and walking distance to a pretty and quiet beach. Just two personal preferences (and will not apply to most people): the bed was too soft for us, we tend to like a hard bed. We also like a colder bedroom as we are used to sleeping with the windows open, even when it's below zero outside. Other than that, everything was very good.

• Susan (10/5): - El Litoral is a quiet corner of paradise up the coast from Panama City. The house is a few blocks from the beach which was deserted at noon on a Friday in late August. The neighborhood is accessed through a security check point and feels quite safe. Rene and Anne Marie are exceptional hosts in their private home where they live year round. They have given every attention to details large and small. Living is easy in the back of the house boasting a lovely pool, outdoor kitchen, an open family room. Scotty, the large white dog, is quite friendly and Rudolph, a very handsome male cat may embrace you sweetly. A more private sitting area is devoted to birds who often laugh out loud. The four chickens, given daily forays into the pool area, provide fresh eggs for the fabulous breakfasts. Breakfast starts with a beautifully crafted compote of fresh fruit thoughtfully layered with seeds, grains and yogurt. The main courses I enjoyed included scrambled eggs and waffles. My request for a stronger cup of coffee was graciously accommodated. It is all done with professional yet friendly panache and flair. Anne Marie gives weekly yoga classes in her on-site studio, also in the back yard. She also invited me to join the pilates class at the club across the street. She's a great teacher and spoke of me as her friend. If you are even somewhat outgoing and like to chat, you really will feel that you are among your dear friends. Book with confidence!

• Mark (10/5): Paradise in Coronado - El Littoral is a B & B, not a hotel. Yet, the setup at El Littoral is much more comprehensive than at a typical B & B. First, Ann Marie, Rene, and Vincent (the family who welcome guests into their home) are highly service oriented. Ann Marie, in particular, is always cheery and always eager to assist an inquiry or to provide service. Moreover, they can accommodate guests from many places, as they speak highly fluent French, English, and Spanish. I am trying to improve my Spanish. Thus, I appreciated Ann Marie's patience and linguistic diversity. My bedroom was very large, clean, fully equipped, air conditioned, and had a large bathroom area. Yet, what makes Littoral special is the space outside the bedroom. There is an indoor and outdoor kitchen, where Ann Marie and Rene cook an excellent breakfast that changes each day. There are couches, a TV, a pool, a yoga area, and a massage and chiropractic building. There are plenty of places to sit in the sun and plenty in the shade. Everything is very comfortable and roomy. Ann Marie teaches yoga and pilates on site and offers free yoga classes M/W/F to guests. In addition, for an extra fee I took a massage from a professional masseuse who visits and I could have been seen by a licensed chiropractor who treats people on site. El Littoral was ultra-relaxing. Plus, their dog Scotty, their 2 friendly cats, and their chickens, add to the relaxing effect.
