You can hear people walking all night through the ceiling. They were not the cleanest rooms. The bed was super uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy. The staff was not that friendly.

• 560leslieh (10/5): Great hotel midpoint from NC to CO! - We stay at this hotel regularly to and from NC to Colorado to visit our grown kids. We have dogs who travel with us at least 3 times per year and we love staying at the Towneplace Suites in Columbia. The team is very accommodating, friendly, helpful and kind - thus we have no need to check other places. We highly recommend this hotel with or without dogs.. the bonus is the amazing restaurant just steps away from the hotel- excellent food, both onsite and "to go". Happy travels!

• emontalvogc (10/5): Quiet and Clean - Right off the highway very quiet and clean. Room was like a small apartment with kitchenette. Everything was clean and in working order. Bed was fine and bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast had usual plus breakfast sandwiches. A small area with adequate seating. Despite being full place was VERY quiet. Parking lot well lit and walking distance to some restaurant on other side of parking lot. Towne Place usually the less fancy of the Marriotts but this one was worth the stay.

• Wannaenjoyvacations (10/5): Excellent Property - Excellent hotel !! We had been travelling for over 10 hours and checked into another Marriott badge hotel at 11:30 p.m. at night that was simply a literal "pig stye" on the "northside" of Columbia and we checked out in less than 30 minutes. It was after midnight, we were tired, exhausted and needed to find a last minute place to rest. We found Townplace Suites a short drive away, booked online and drove. We were greeted by an employee named Tim, and was he ever so gracious, kind and friendly when we needed to just have a seamless check-in and a clean suite. Thank you, Tim !!! You made our overnight stay pleasant, memorable and we were grateful for your help. The suite was exceptionally clean, comfortable, the AC worked perfect and the bathroom (which I am always a "white glover" about), was spotless and clean. Our beds were extremely comfortable. We rested overnight, got up the next morning and enjoyed a hot breakfast and conversed with friendly employees who were dressed professionally and strived to make sure we needed anything to make our morning breakfast more enjoyable. This is how a Marriott badged property should be run and managed. Again, thank you Tim for your kindness and help at check-in. You were truly a Marriott professional.

• Stephanie (9/5): Superb - It’s a very convenient location. Very friendly staff and clean hotel. The water pressure in room 109 was horrible in the sink. Very little water came out, which made it more difficult to wash your face and brush your teeth. The next day, I will ask that I not be put on the first floor near the hotel lobby. It is very, very noisy in room 109 if people are hanging out in the lobby, especially later in the evening.
• Leigh (7/5): It was fine. We were only there 1 night and basically just to sleep. - Room was nice, clean and bed was comfortable. Restaurant and bar across the street was convenient and nice. Shower pressure wasn’t great and bathtub drained very slow. We had paid for the room ahead but debit card was charged at check in for a deposit. That’s fine but it was $22 and odd cents and it has not been removed from my account. There is no reason it should not be returned.
• Ashley (6/5): - While the property was ok there are definitely things that need help. One being we not once got a hot shower. The water was Luke warm at best. Very disappointing. The other major issue we had was horrible pillows. The pillows were just this side of unusable. The continental breakfast was less than impressive. I’ve stayed at several TownPlace Suites that I love and this one is by far the worst. I will probably look into different accommodations if traveling to this area again.

The smell of the body wash was reminiscent of Pinesol or other cleaner. Yuck. It is simply a convenient place to sleep when needing to visit the university.

• Fred (10/5): - TownePlace suites Columbia is my go to place for cross country trips. It’s a couple miles off I70 but worth it. Clean, safe area, great service and 1st level rooms to make it easier when traveling with pets.

Of the reasons I booked this room was for the outdoor pool and it was closed the whole time and the indoor Smelled so strong of chlorine. You couldn't even go in there.
• deblA7209ZD (2/5): Pure theft. You were told. Check the card you used once you get home - My company pays hotel bill and then they also billed me. I'm out over 520 dollars. They deny wrong doing but my checking account shows proof. It's been over 30 days and they keep saying your not getting your money back we didn't charge you. Judge for yourself I'm posting the debit from my account. Even my bank said they are wrong. Marriott International says they need to give money back. Be careful with what you pay with. Someone pocketed the money then made transaction dissappear every where but from my checking account.

The room felt wet all the time, there was no vent in the bathroom, towels never dried, the second floor was an extension of the room felt wet as well. The wall unit ac quit working and it was just a hot and humid room. Room was not clean well, hair everywhere.

The room felt wet all the time like sticky and moist, probably because the bathroom has no vent or fan or could be because the wall ac unit doesn’t t work properly. Wall ac unit broke and it was pushing hot air in an already wet feeling room. Towels never dried. The second floor also felt wet. The washers were trash and it was so humid that the dryers were sweating from condensation. Hotel is poorly insulated or something. Great area.

• denisepalumbo (10/5): Outstanding Service-Scott Blaze - I want to thank Scott Blaze at the front desk for going the extra mile for my employees and myself. I had sent a UPS package to the hotel and my employees had checked out already. Scott Blaze retrieved my package and I sent him a UPS return sticker for the envelope. He put the new label on to the package and I received it 2 days later. He did not have to go through all of this trouble for me, but he did! I am eternally grateful because there were employee credit cards in the envelope and who knows where they may have ended up! I want to thank Scott Blaze again and you people need to give him a raise! Exceptional service, professionalism and results! He is the whole package!

After one month I have had many staff members go above and beyond for me to make my stay here exceptional. From the front desk such as Brian and Blaze assisting with everyday needs to suggestions of local restaurants. And to Alexis for how clean my room has been. They refresh my room every other day and a full clean weekly. The main areas are also very clean and stocked with fresh water and coffee and tea throughout the day in the lobby. Thank you for making my home away from home amazing!

Be sure to check out Perry Phillips lake and wonderful trail around it located just behind the Aria luxury apartments. Great walking, running, fishing which completely surprised and pleased me. The Park restaurant shares a parking lot and has great atmosphere with rooftop and outdoor seating. My room on floor 4 is nothing special but clean. Suggest asking for room on back side to avoid highway noise.

There's a nice restaurant across the parking lot. Other shopping & dining is just a short drive away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Building is modern & very clean. Rooms were spacious with a kitchenette & dining table. Plenty of room for a lengthy stay. We were pleased with the extensive breakfast choices, both hot & cold. We will definitely stay here again!

• michaelbD8788XN (2/5): Poor housekeeping! - Poor housekeeping! Absolutely the dirtiest room that I have ever experienced at a Marriott property and one of the worst of ANY brand. Check out the photos below of leftovers from the previous guest that were overlooked by the housekeeping staff. Dirty coffee pot, lettuce stuck inside of the refrigerator, old bar of soap in the bathtub, Cheerios on the floor, and God only knows what I missed.

• Gary (2/5): Beware if you bring a pet - This hotel was advertised as pet friendly. I did not inquire prior to booking what the fee was for having a dog in my room. At check-in I found the fee was a 55% surcharge to the room rate! I don't mind paying a nominal fee for having a pet in the room, but this was ridiculous.

• Paradise46909110134 (2/5): Horrible customer service, below average rooms and pool - We were referred to this property by another local Towneplace Suites due to a broken pool issue. We were told that our room would consist of 2 queen beds and 1 pullout couch. Unfortunately, the staff lied and we had to have our children sleep on the floor. The management was not accommodating and provided zero customer service (except for 1 nice gentleman at the front desk). The pool is incredibly small, the rooms were okay (nothing special) and the breakfast was below average. Disappointed in how they handled our issue after driving 20 mins to their hotel, so don't expect any customer service should you stay here.

Every single person was friendly, smiling, and genuinely nice each time I saw them. My teenage son even commented on it. I would definitely stay here again.

• garthd2023 (10/5): My Second Home and Second Family in COMO - I spend over 150 -170 nights in hotels between business and pleasure. Why I love this hotel so much is because of the staff!! When you check in your greeted with a warm welcome from either Brian making sure you have a smooth check in process . Blaze who is the Daytime Front Desk Manager who’s willing and ready to address any and any guest needs!! We also have Tim who works the overnights to insure if anything pops up in the middle night of night or early morning it’s addressed. If you have any group booking needs remember to reach out to Emily in Sales ! Also we have the rock ladies who work the breakfast area to make sure you have hot coffee or some breakfast to start your day !! Let’s not also forget about the crew that keep the rooms nice and clean thank you to the maids !! Any hotel can offer you a bed but it’s the hotel team that makes the difference!!
• Semomu (10/5): Nice experience - Very nice, clean hotel. Pleasant staff. Easy access off of 63 and near many Columbia spots. Small bar with some food available at night. Buffet breakfast provided with some fresh foods and some packaged foods.Suggestion: a packaged utensils was offered. Sort of a waste if you only need a spoon or fork and the rest is thrown away. Perhaps offer them separately. Didn’t see any recycling. Kitchen in the rooms with refrigerator, stove top, toaster, coffee maker/coffee. Spacious bedroom area. Large bathroom, bring a nightlight and shower cap. If you wear glasses, read shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles before showering as labels are hard to read. It is pet friendly on the first floor. I am allergic to animals and had no difficulty as we were on the third floor.
• finleynapoleon (10/5): Blaze at reception is careful about the safety of female guests - Blaze at the reception desk was careful about my safety, as a female, and didn't announce my room number out loud (like he did for my male coworker). He gave some good recommendations for restaurants and was cheerful and clearly works with a smile every day. My room was clean, all toiletries/coffee/iron were as expected. AND their breakfast had the best coffee I have gotten with a hotel breakfast EVER.
• Laura (10/5): - Blaze at the reception desk was careful not to announce my room number out loud for my safety after I checked in. Their breakfast was the best I've had in weeks of traveling, with great coffee! The hotel was very quiet, clean, and all around excellent.
