Guest Reviews
- Adrian (10/5): - Great b n b. Fabulous breakfast too. Hospitality was top class.
- Peter (10/5): - Very happy night's stay with my two adult daughters in the family room. There is no parking on the road outside but the owner immediately moved his own car off the drive so we had excellent parking. You feel right at home and the location is a very easy walk into town. No hesitation in recommending and would be very happy to stay again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Located near center of town. Accommodating to my personal needs. Great breakfast!
- Janette (10/5): Great wee B&B - Great wee b&b, friendly staff and super breakfast. Would recommend.
- RENEE (10/5): - The owner and staff were so great and accommodating. We had to leave early so taxi was arranged and breakfast was early. Food was fantastic. Breakfast made to order. Stairs to room was no problem as the owner helped with bags. Would recommend to anyone
- Claire (10/5): Perfect home from home stay - Fabulous stay with Paul. We hadn’t stayed in a traditional b&b for a very long time and Paul definitely made us that welcome we wondered why and after our stay will be back to the home comforts you get at a well run establishment like this. Room was so quiet and comfortable with a huge bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was literally anything and everything you
Could have wished for and cooked to perfection. We felt very spoilt. Will be back soon I hope.
- Paul (10/5): Shakespeare Theatre Trip - Absolutely superb stay, Paul was a great host, room was available early so we could go and enjoy Stratford with a great meal out, before going to the theatre. Hotel was so close to the centre, parked on the drive and the breakfast was gorgeous, thoroughly recommend a stay, and Im already looking at what upcoming shows are at the theatre, so I can come and stay again !!
- Ian (10/5): Stay with Shakespeare! - Great location for visiting Stratford on Avon with all the main attractions plus innumerable restaurants within easy walking distance. Great selection for breakfast, the house is full of interesting artefacts and the host being a Shakespeare stand-in with an uncanny resemblance to the bard is an unexpected bonus. Thanks Paul, I will recommend to others!
- See Man (8/5): - Bathroom lack space for clothes and towel
- Yvonne (8/5): - Pleasant and friendly staff, light and airy room with good decor.
Unfortunately the shower was "playing up" and sometimes we were unable to get hot water. When we reported it there was an immediate response that it would be looked at. The location was ideal, with in easy walking of the town centre. The food was of a good choice and well presented.
- John (10/5): - The room was smaller than we normally have however it had everything we needed. the bed was firm which is our preference. It was great waking up to the dawn chorus followed by an excellent breakfast.
- Bob (10/5): - Paul and his good lady were very helpful, good local knowledge helped us have a very good vacation, very good location (10 minutes walk to everywhere) will certainly be back.
- Angela (10/5): Excellent central B&B with a warm welcome. - We enjoyed a comfortable stay and an excellent breakfast at Hamlet B&B. We had a warm welcome from Paul upon arrival who showed us room 5 on the ground floor and agreed our ‘breakfast slot’.
NB Be aware when booking that there are more rooms than the 2 parking spots in from of the house, so free parking is not guaranteed and you may need to use the paid car parks (very nearby- walkable)
- Russell (10/5): - Wonderful hosts, made us feel welcome from the second we arrived , room very clean and fresh, highly recommend staying.guest house in a fantastic location for the town centre and local restaurants and pubs.
- Rebecca kinman (10/5): Perfect for visiting Stratford On Avon - Perfect for an overnight stay, great value, great service, situated close to the centre, cosy & comfortable, great breakfast, will stay again. The downstairs bedroom is very quiet.
- Annemarie (10/5): - Paul was a lovely host. He cooked a beautiful breakfast for us. The property is so well located within walking distance to the town centre. Our bed was very comfortable.
- Andrew (10/5): Best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in - Warm welcome and great hospitality - clean and well equipped rooms with the most comfortable beds. The breakfast was a treat and I look forward to returning.
- Matthew (10/5): Clean and helpful. - Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Great location and friendly owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quaint bed and breakfast close to town - The staff are very warm and welcoming and the breakfast is very good. The place is good value for the money. The owner has a great deal of local knowledge and can suggest lots of activities for first time visitors.
- Laurence (2/5): An absolutely horrid experience - Disgusted! I was booked for two days (Fri-Sun) for a wedding on the Saturday.
All guests were kept up on the Friday night by the owner and his girlfriend drunkenly arguing/talking. I shouted down repeatedly and even knocked on their area (at this stage it must have been gone 2am). Alas, to no avail.
I spent my friend's wedding exhausted and had a migraine on the Sunday (I did get paracetamols!). Hotels.com contacted the owner and he didn't even apologise.
The room itself was okay. Double bed with very small tv. No hairdryer. Kettle with two sachets of coffee (no biscuits).
SHOCKINGLY! My 'private' bathroom involved nothing connected to my room. There was a toilet one door down and a shower at the end of the corridor next to another guest bedroom. None of which was private.
Breakfast waitress at least apologised for her employer.
I honestly say to not stay here.
