- Esther (2/5): - They didn’t change the sheets. They didn’t clean because the maids quit. The owner was drunk and rude. The worst experience ever!! I want my money back.
- Shona (6/5): - Pros - gated parking, nice area, Uber available - use it as driving was difficult Cons - the stay did not match the description: there was no daily housekeeping, there were dogs on the property including at the pool and hot tub when it said no pets, the laundry was not self serve and charged for it, there was not someone at the desk 24 hours and it was not always manned by trained staff. One night the maintenance worker that was there gave keys to our unit to new guests and they entered our apartment after midnight when we were sleeping. We did get an apology the next day with the explanation that he didn't know the unit was occupied.

- Lloyd (6/5): Parking & cleaning inadequate - Parking was very inadequate and cramped for that many rooms. Also, by no fault of our own late at night our toilet ran over and filled the bathroom floor with water and feces. A young lady was kind enough to come mop up the water with towels, but no one came to clean the floor of the bathroom and get the feces off the side of the toilet until two days later, and only then when I called and asked them to come clean the floor.

- chester v (10/5): Love this place - It's a wonderful apartment, fully equipped. I actually cooked 18pound turkey and fed 8 people in the house. You have everything at the pool and sauna area for a party. Depending on the apartment you will have steps to reach the different levels outside. No lift(elevator). You will need an Uber or taxi for shopping, which is close.

- TRINECE (10/5): - Beautiful views of the countryside. Room was clean; staff performed daily cleanings without us having to ask which was completely unexpected. We did however have a few ants in the bathroom. The staff took care of it immediately. Whatever spray they used was odorless and worked!! We didn't see any more ants for the duration of our stay. One evening we ran out of hot water but other than that - no complaints.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - I got a fantastic, full apartment for what was called an Economy studio. I don’t know if this place has studios. The apartment was incredible for what I paid. It would cost hundreds of dollars per night or more in a different location and circumstance. It had a superb view of the city too. Unfortunately it was not in a good location, for me, anyway, way up on a hill. Without a car there wasn’t much I could do, and I had to deal with hills when I took walks. I am old and have a bad knee. So if you decide to stay here, rent a car or use Uber.

- Sheila (10/5): Lovely city views. Apartment size suite. - The hotel was exactly what we needed to at end of a long day of travel. Communication was excellent. Since we gave our flight info just as we landed we recv a pin drop of the hotel location so we could easily open and navigate. Parking was behind gate and in carport. On-site gym was a good morning option to start our day.

- chester v (10/5): Wonderful place - What a wonderful hotel. It was more like being in your own home, but better. The manager stayed in contact with me by WhatsApp from the airport until I reached the property. You should download WhatsApp it's not on your phone. The manager lives on the property so he can always be contacted for help. The information guide in your wonderful apartment explains everything. The kitchen was fully equipped so we cooked all of our meals at home. A grocery store is very close, by can or car, One mile. Wifi worked great. Pool, sauna,steam room, and exercise area were very convenient and well equiped. Covered bbq and bar with a kitchen at the pool. Well landscaped with many levels of outside steps. Gated and walled for security. You will need Waze or GPS from the airport, cab or you will need it to locate the hotel. Truly a great stay for us. I will be back. It's located in a residential area❤️

- Mark (10/5): Perfect for before or after your flight. - This is a great little hotel. We stayed in the honeymoon suit and it had a king sized bed and a lovely view of the city. Getting there, we had to go through some sketchy neighborhoods and the approach to the hotel is quite steep. They do not have 24 hour reception but they waited for us as we had a late flight. They don't have AC but you do not need it. San Jose is cool at night and they had tons of large windows. We will stay here again.

There are some items available to purchase (beer, water) but no really close store if you are on foot. An Uber however will get you to lots of shopping within five minutes. The views were impressive, and the jacuzzi was hot. We will definitely return on future visits to Escazú.

- Steven (10/5): Love this place. - A truly unique place with an old-school charm that contributes to the comfort of this amenity rich hotel. I stayed 2 nights and will certainly be back. Highly recommend if you like a spacious, self-contained suite with unbeatable views of the valley. Heads up that the parking is tight if you have a large vehicle and some of the suites are accessible only to folks that can climb stairs easily.

- Amanda (10/5): Two Night Stay - Great stay here! The place is really great and roomy and the bed was one of the more comfortable ones that I stayed in during my trip. Owner was super friendly and very helpful.
- Gary (10/5): Escazu apartment - Very nice accommodation and a variety of options for your stay. My favorite is number four apartment. Beautiful apt and the views are awesome at night. Mario is very nice and helpful with anything you might need.

The property is a little older, but well-maintained. You get a lot for your money - full kitchen & eating area, and separate bedroom. We plan to return.
- Patricia (10/5): Absolutely fabulous ~ best place in 7 weeks - Views were amazing, great place to R & R. A little hard to find at first. Need a vehicle or have to use Uber or taxi to get around. Walking in area is very difficult. lacks sidewalks, crazy drivers and very steep hills. Manager was super helpful and Richard the owner is a gem and lifesaver (the cable for my iPad had quit working, no place to get a replacement, Richard loaned me his. I was finally able to read my books instead of having to stare at the walls! Wonderful property, especially landscaping, pool and sitting area..We are considering a return trip for a extended stay.

Very windy all the time, apparently normal in January so a lot of whistling noise in the windows. No sidewalks on surrounding streets so no way to go for waks in the immediate neighbourhood.

Peaceful setting with several access points and gardens makes you feel like you are the only ones around. Getting in and out of the parking lot is challenging but that is consistent with most parking in the city.

- David (10/5): Great Value in San Rafael. - This was my absolute favorite place to stay in Costa Rica. Really interesting layout and overall vibe. Amazing views, apartment felt like home and not a hotel room. Talked to the owner and staff, which were incredibly helpful in orientating me to the area and getting rides and food. I am probably more likely to come back to Costa Rica than I was before because of this hotel. In fairness I was very likely to come back anyways, and I did have great lodging experiences in other parts of CR, but this hotel felt like the first place on my trip where I experienced 0 comprimises. It's a great price for the value, great location, great service, they did my laundry, and had daily house cleaning. Wifi was speedy and they have individual wifi routers / networks for each room. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookery. And I made a new cat friend. However, if you are allergic the cat is also very easy to avoid as the outside area is quite large.

- Karen (10/5): - The property is wonderfully situated overlooking the city of San Jose. Our suite was very clean and had the tile floors and decor of a fine and elegant past. Loved the door! We were there in the rainy season so did not use the pool or other amenities. The highlight is the owner- helpful and friendly.
- John (10/5): - You need GPS to find this place. I had to park down the street, walk up the hill to be buzzed in because its on a sharp corner, and drivers in costa rica take corners at 50 mph. I saw crashes every day. So the gates let you in, where you can park on property. The property was quiet and spacious. great views, and very accommodating. Mario is very helpful.

Our apartment was very nice--clean, tidy, nicely furnished, full kitchen, great view, comfortable bed, and plenty of hot water in the shower. The pool, jacuzzi, gym and outdoor hangout areas are great amenities. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We'll definitely return to stay at Casa Reflejos!
