Guest Reviews
- Robyn (9/5): Stopover on road trip - It was quiet and comfortable and clean. There is a great Mexican restaurant called Friedas nearby. It has a guest laundry. People have said that you can walk downtown. You could but it is a long long way. We could not work the tv.
- Linus (6/5): - The location next to the baseball fields Sink handle was not working had to forcefully pull on it to turn it on. Towels had rips in it
- Jack (5/5): - We booked and paid for a room with two queen beds that specifically included a river view and a designated parking spot. However, upon arrival, we were assigned a lower-priced room that did not include either the river view or the designated parking space as advertised.
Since we paid a higher rate for the upgraded room features, I believe a refund for the difference in room value would be appropriate.
We also checked the shared kitchen area and found that it did not match the photos shown on the website. There was no coffee maker available, and the stove area and utensils appeared dirty and poorly maintained. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the listing.
- Patricia (6/5): - Location Tub shower was leaking. We wrapped it in a towel.
More towels since housekeeping is once every 3 days.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Carole Sanford Gaddis (5/5): - I didn't like anything about this place. It was old, not maintained properly, no breakfast provided, bad parking area.
- fabienne (10/5): - Le rapport qualité prix Rien
- Clay (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay and will be back. - Everything was exactly as advertised and we feel that we got a very nice room for the price point. We really appreciate everything about this place -- the front desk staff were great, cleaning crew were great, and our room was clean and comfy. We were in Durango for mostly outdoor stuff, so this was perfect! While our room didn't smell like smoke or anything, our neighbors definitely spent quite a bit of time smoking out on the walkway in front of the room. They were nice, but you know...

- Terri (8/5): -
- Robert (5/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): Need a place to stay when traveling? - Price/ value The telivision was stuck on one option so we watched on a laptop device instead. No big deal...
- Isabelle (10/5): -
- Terri (9/5): Nice place to rest - Considering the price, The Junction is an exceptional value. We had a comfortable bed, shower, television, and complimentary coffee in the lobby, making it well-suited for an overnight visit.
- Michels (7/5): -
- DeAnn (7/5): - The location was great and the room was good. The heater didn't work and it was freezing cold. We used the extra blankets in the room, but it was still very cold. We bought heaters the second night so we didn't freeze.
- Julie (5/5): -
- Steven (8/5): -
- Louise (10/5): - The hostel was well priced with a nice bathroom. Great lounge area and kitchen. Would stay here again.
- Earl (9/5): -
- Nicole (7/5): Good value for a night - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked the convenient location to town. I didn't like the location of my room as it was on the busy road/highway so was very loud at night. The bed was springy and uncomfortable to my body.
- Dean (8/5): -
- Kristi (6/5): -
- Kay (7/5): Great value for the price. - The price. No ice and no carpet in the bedroom. Facilities were worn down and although clean, not thoroughly clean.
- Johnny (5/5): There for the rally. Was hoping for a clean easy stay. Easy was the case, clean was not. - Location to the fairgrounds Towels were stained, no breakfast, expensive for what it was.
- Laurie (7/5): Best value in Durango - Near the hospital and easy to find. Parking
- PRISCILLA (5/5): -
- Kenneth (2/5): A bad n - Not much. Location wasn't bad No Ice. The ac and plumbing was so horribly noisy. Could not sleep all night.
- Tessa (9/5): It was awesome! Good service - The location and price Not enough towels or washcloths between housecleaning.
- Craig (5/5): Great location. Very friendly staff. Rund down, but cheap. - Great friendly staff. As accommodating as they could be. The bed in 207 was awful. Moved to 103 and it had great beds.
Good luck with the ice machine. The bed in 207. No ice. No coffee maker.
- Jayla (4/5): Not as clean as expected - Nothing would make me come back, but if you can tolerate certain things or it’s a one night stay it will get the job done. The front desk was responsive to calls and there were no issues checking in or out. I had to fix my own bedding the sheets didn’t come on the bunk bed in the shared hostel. As well the white linens it came with were ripped and my towel was ripped. The given blue linens had some fuzz and hair in it. I wasn’t given any wash cloths to use in the shower because they were out. Frequently, I had to kill bugs and there were a bunch of dead ones in the window. When I showered the water went from hot to cold frequently and was dirty and uncomfortable.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Adam (7/5): Met expectations so i stayed longer - Linens, floors swept, old soap in bathroom.
- Robert (3/5): Was very disappointed with the stay. - Location was fine. Staff was nice. The facilities section that we stay the first night was very old & run down.
- Rachael (10/5): Staff is super kind and helpful. Beds are decent. Would stay here again. - It was close to everything in town. Parking lot needs work.
- RAGHAVENDRA (8/5): It’s in middle of the town with lot of shops around - Location
- Keith (9/5): Very clean . - No breakfast N/a
- catherine (5/5): - We could hear the showers running in neighboring rooms through the walls.
- Jesse (7/5): -
- Bob (8/5): Comfortable stay, good value. Hotel personnel are customer focused. - The buildings look tired and out of date. A facelift is needed.
- Laura (4/5): -
- Mark (5/5): -
- Chris Macur (10/5): -
- Ross (8/5): -
- Theresa (8/5): -
- Vadim (10/5): -
- Kale (1/5): -
- Mitchel (7/5): Good budget conscience place to stay if budget is the primary concern. - Location, price, friendly staff, dated but still clean room and property. The dog in the room above us kept walking around all night and kept us awake.
- Pedro Gabryel (7/5): -
- Maussan (10/5): -
- Wayne (4/5): Underwhelming and not value for money - Helpful receptionist. Beds were uncomfortable. Heating didn't work.
- Cervantes (10/5): -
- Madison (7/5): -
- Madison (7/5): - Facility staff was patient & more than willing to work with me. The lack of weekly rate.
- STEPHANE (9/5): -
- Stephanie (7/5): -
- Debasis (7/5): Great location, affordable for a place like Durango. Dont have a lot to expectation and you will be alright staying at t - The location is perfect. Close to downtown and the rail station. You get the river flowing close by so great for walks. The bed frame is all metal. Bathroom wasn’t clean. But you get what you pay for.
- Tamara (8/5): -
- Judy (5/5): - It was a place to sleep. I had to kick the door open and shut.
- calvin (8/5): A place to rest up after traveling. - Fair value No breakfast! Not sound proof enough.
- Matthew (8/5): Everything was great. - Everything was great. It was a close walk to downtown, and conventient to leave town tot he north. Everything was great. It would be nice if they served a free breakfast.
- Carol (8/5): Pleasant - Good location, quite! Didn't have coffee maker
- Markus (5/5): -
- Lorenzo (7/5): It was a good stay - It was nice Floors were dirty
- D (10/5): -
- Kristen (10/5): Very relaxing - Beautiful location!
- Margie (10/5): - No Breakfast. Prized a little high for no breakfast. Room was good and clean. Was easy to get to the hotel.
- Dearing (7/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Nice room in a nice town, Durango - The room was quiet and, although on the second floor, easily accessible from the parking lot. We were staying two days because we were riding the Durango Silverton Railroad and wanted to be close enough not to have to rush in the morning and not to have far to go, after the ride. The office staff was very helpful with directions around town.
- Craig (9/5): Camping without having to pitch or strike a tent. - The cabin had clean bed linen, cable TV, Air-Conditioning, a fridge, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was abou 50' away. The campground was quiet. Everyone was courteous. I had no complaints. The facility was well organized. The staff checked me in quickly and were responsive when I stopped by the office with a question.
- Garcia (10/5): -
Nettes Personal.
- Garcia (10/5): -
- Lugo (5/5): -
- Don (9/5): The property was a reasonable value for us. Durango is a bit pricey overall. - The property was located adjacent to a bike path that extended
the entire length of the town of Durango. We were able to bike
all over from our lodgings! Broken ice machine.
- Michael (8/5): - This is a great location and value. The beds were uncomfortable but I still slept well.
- Wendy (3/5): -
- Janette (7/5): You get what you pay for. - I liked how close it was to everything. I like the community kitchen. The room was dark, only one lamp. The mattress looked old and dirty. The people at the front desk do not do a good job at making you feel welcome. I didn't know there was only a certain time you could get coffee at the front. Most places I stay have complimentary coffee at any time. In the rooms, they dont have any additional essentials like blow dryer and iron. You have to ask in the front and it's first come. Overall, it feels like you are staying with roommates. It was loud with people playing guitar at late hours, and it seemed like there were no rules as loud noises. We stayed 5 nights, and after 3 nights, I asked for housekeeping. We got new towels and toilet paper, but we didn't get more soap or shampoo. You need to ask if you want extra stuff. The room did not feel clean. You get what you pay for.
- Cervantes (10/5): -
- Debbie (7/5): -
- Christian (2/5): - So I show up about 30 minutes early, Dave completely ignores me as I’m standing there. Then he finally goes “what do you need?” I tell him I’m trying to figure out where our room is so I can park by our room as my wife and two dogs walk around the city (reasonable right?) He says “check in isn’t until 3” I tell him I’m just trying to park and he says “I’m doing something really important” (I’d say this falls under doing your job) and so I had to leave for 20 minutes. When I came
- David (6/5): - Knowing what I had paid, I had reasonable expectations and they were met. Coffee is absolutely horrible. Bring a blanket as you essentially have two sheets to cover with—the bed cover is basically a sheet. There is a refrigerator in the lobby building and that’s the only source for ice. Be prepared to get ice elsewhere. It is what I expected.
- Elsa (1/5): -
- Chad (8/5): - the room was decent, just the bare minimum for sure, but it matched the good price for the time/day I stayed
- Melissa (9/5): -
- Jayde (6/5): - Staff was accommodating. Place needs to have some updates.
- Koldo (10/5): -
- Minka (1/5): Honest customer review - Location The toilet would not flush. Room phone out of order. Ice machine out of order. Mold on bathroom walls. No front desk answering calls for hours. No communication for hours. Room Smells like tobacco.
- Jonas (7/5): Good value for money stay - Good value for money hotel where you get what you pay for. Front desk staff very nice. The bed was quite saggy and the sink pipes leaked and plumbing very loud between rooms.
- Jessica (8/5): - I appreciated the affordability of this location but feel there could be some improvement when it comes to cleanliness.
- Catherine (4/5): - Young lady who checked us in was very nice. But when we got to the room there was someone else’s stuff in there.
Property is run down and there were some odd looking people around. It’s ok for a quick night’s stay. I wouldn’t recommend it for women traveling alone.
- Domenico (6/5): -
- Ross (8/5): -
- Scott (7/5): We were pleased with our stay at the Junction Hotel & Hostel. Would stay again. - Staff was friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Nice to have morning coffee to pick up from the office. For a "budget" hotel, it had everything one would expect. The cooling system was consistent and worked well. Communication through email/text was excellent. The room was clean, which was great, but the smell of the chemical cleaner was so strong it made our eyes water. We had to fully open the windows to air it out, and even then, the smell was overwhelming for a while. The bathroom door needed to be replaced, or at least a new paint job - it looked like someone attacked it from the inside. Otherwise, the stay met our expectations.
