Es ist ja auch teuer. - Das man Hausgäste beim Abendessen abweist, weil man eine große Gruppe aus dem Ort zu einer Veranstaltung hat ist schon etwas speziell. Wenn ich in so eine einsame Gegend fahre, ist man darauf angewiesen im Restaurant essen zu können. An einem Abend wurden wir abgewiesen und an dem anderen war das Essen das schlechteste auf unserer Norwegenreise.

• Martin (4/5): Letztes Jahr top, heuer Flop! Gefährliche Situation und niemand erreichbar! - Lage direkt am Hafen, somit toller Ausgangspunkt für Wal-Safari. Betten sehr komfortabel und kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Mitten in der Nacht plötzlich SEHR laute Geräusche von der Heizung, schlafen war unmöglich. Türen nach außen waren versperrt und bei der Nacht-Hotline hat niemand abgehoben trotz mehrerer Versuche, anzurufen. Aufgrund der versperrten Türen und erfolglosen Anrufen wüsste ich nicht, wo wir in einem Brandfall hinlaufen hätten können. Frühstück leider enttäuschend, relativ früh wenig verfügbar. Personal konnte kaum Englisch, Verständigung daher schwer möglich, obwohl die Dame sehr bemüht war.

Das Frühstück selbst war mehr als genug ,für jeden Geschmack was dabei Das bett war durchgelegen Bad sehr alt Nach drei Tagen wurden meine Handtücher gewechselt, die schmutzigen gar nicht erst mitgenommen, bis ich es vor die Tür gelegt habe .... Das hotel ist einfach überteuert für den Standart Meine zweite Person ist nicht angereist und nach zweimal nachfragen ,wurde mir gesagt dass ich kein Lunch packen bekomme obwohl ich für zwei personen gezahlt habe.obst ? Wurde auch verneint von der Rezeption

• Laura (10/5): Lovely and welcoming place to stay - Super friendly staff who take care of you even after you've checked out to make sure you have facilities to use before you leave which I really appreciated. The room was cosy and warm. Nice breakfast.

• Sorrel (8/5): Clean hotel for visiting Skjervoy - Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Unfortunately a lot of things were unavailable from the restaurant menu but the food we had was good. The room was also very hot! We had the window open all night despite it being around -10°C outside.

• Darryl (8/5): Comfortable stay, good staff, some minor tweaks needed. - Well, it’s Skjervoy so your options are limited. But the hotel is really well located (where the ferries and busses arrive and depart, as well as most tours). The staff were awesome, friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were good, enough variety to cater for most (although I wouldn’t have minded labels on the various bowls rather than just a list on the wall. It’s an easy walk into ‘town’ if you need anything from the supermarket. We arrived at our room (6pm) to find that it hadn’t been made up. Staff changed us to another room with no fuss.
• Elizabeth (7/5): Good enough among limited options in Skjervoy - It's location was good - right in front of the bus to Tromso. I thought the breakfast was really good. The bed was comfy enough and you could heat up the room easily. When I arrived to check in, they tried to put me in a different room to the one I had booked - when I raised it with them, they said "well, a big group checked in yesterday so we gave it to them." Not my problem - I booked my room weeks ago. They eventually found me another room after initially saying maybe I could speak to someone the following day to get a discount. Also when I arrived at 8pm on a Sunday, they told me that their restaurant wasn't open for dinner on Sunday evenings and then told me that nowhere in town (not a restaurant and not a supermarket) would be open on a Sunday evening. I thought that was ludicrous since while this is a village/small town, it's full of tourists. I went out walking in a snowstorm and in less than 10 minutes, found a small minimarket and harmburger joint open (open until around 11pm). Some of the staff behind reception and working in the restaurant never smiled, weren't friendly and seemed annoyed all the time. The bathroom in my room was tired and not the cleanest (mould between the tiles, rough round the edges). If you're going to Skjervoy to swim with Orca, the boats leave from a place that is nearly 30 minutes walk in the snow from this hotel.
• Mike (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and was perfect for our whale watching trips - Excellent location as just in front of the harbour for the whale watching trips. The shops were only a short walk away. The property was warm and very clean. The staff were very friendly. The evening meals were very good. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable. Food service was quite slow at times probably because the hotel seemed quite short staffed at times. The rooms would benefit from more storage for clothes.
• Arina Abbring (8/5): Centraal gelegen hotel met uitzicht op de haven - Het ontbijt was erg goed verzorgd, er is gratis thee en koffie in de lobby waar je uitzicht hebt over de haven en de besneeuwde bergen. Het eten is van erg goede kwaliteit : heerlijke verse vis op het menu. Tevens goede grote TV op de kamer om savonds tijdens de koude winteravonden op te kunnen netfliden. Bedden zijn ook goed. Geen opmerkingen

• Maaike (7/5): Prima prijskwaliteit , wat je kunt verwachten voor 3 sterren. - Prijskwaliteit verhouding is prima. De kamer was ruim. Fijn dat het raam open kan. Toen we om 20.00 uur aankwamen, was er helaas geen mogelijkheid meer om iets te eten.

• Pamela (9/5): - Lage ist unschlagbar, fast am Wasser. Walbeobachtungstouren direkt ab Hotel möglich - nur die Straße überqueren. Frühstück alles da was man braucht, gab auch Lachs. Ein bisschen in die Jahre kommen. Teppichboden im Zimmer, Bad. Aber alles in Ordnung. Man muss nicht immer meckern, nur wem es stört.
• Benjamin (8/5): Great value for money, great location. - The Maritim Hotel is located right next to the harbour, perfect for us as we arrived and left by ferry from Tromso. We were worried when we arrived as there seemed to be a christmas party going on in the bar but check in was smooth and our room was quiet. The room was nice, bed comfy and shower very good. TV not tuned in to channels but on demand works ok. Lots of choice for breakfast, including hot and cold foods along with tea / coffee / juices. The bed was much softer than were used to, but still slept fine.
• Morten Hessellund Helwig (8/5): - Personalets service. Klagede over lidt højt musik og de fik det stoppet. Dagen efter var jeg på forkant med det igen forid jeg vidste der skulle være fest. Så fik de sendt en mand ud og slukke den højtaler udenfor som generede. Hvilket gjorde de kunne holde fest ovenpå uden jeg hørte noget til det. Rigtig Nutella til morgenmad. Brusekabinen er meget trang. De reklamere med tv på værelset. Men der ingen kanaler og ingen tilkobling til streaming. Så det lidt ligemeget med tv medmindre man kommer med computer og Hdmi kabel. Ellers kan du ikke bruge tvet

• Victoria (9/5): Volveremos - El hotel nos pareció muy bueno calidad-precio para lo que hay en Noruega. Habitaciones sencillas pero bien cuidadas y con lo necesario. Destacar el desayuno buffet del hotel y en general la comida del hotel (precio muy asequible en comparación con otros sitios desayuno la zona). También comentar que hay parking GRATIS. Por ponerle una pega, me hubiese gustado que tuviese me neverita la habitación.

• Alexandra (5/5): - The room was comfortable and worked well for my one night stay, everything seemed clean except for a slight odor of some kind. It was very convenient for our orca tour the next morning, plus breakfast was very good, lovely pastrie selection. There was literally nothing to do or eat past like 11 pm, even the front desk is closed, no vending machine or anything. They tell you to use the second floor door after midnight, but they don't even keep that cleared of snow. Same with the other walkways to the hotel.
• Katie (8/5): Very good! - It was in a perfect location for our Whale2sea snorkelling activity It was very dated and staff seemed a bit confused. We had two instances where we lacked confidence in what the staff were telling us. When we were checking in, it seemed they struggled with that and then on the morning we asked where we meet the Whale2sea crew and they didn’t know and told us to wait around, they later found out and pointed us in the right direction but given the hotel is the meet point for Whale2sea you would think the staff would know.
• Marco (9/5): perfect base for skjervoy explorations - The hotel is very conveniently located in front of the harbour. Buffet breakfast selection was a very nice surprise, especially if you take into account where the hotel is located. The room was clean and it is the only one in the whole trip with a decent humidity. I would suggest to consider king size beds

• Johannes (7/5): Kommen gerne wieder - Sehr zentral. Quasi ein muss wenn man zum Whale Watching dort ist. Sehr freundliches Personal Gutes Frühstück Betten sind nicht sonderlich bequem.
