Guest Reviews
- Theo (5/5): -
- zagury (1/5): Le propriétaire m’a escroqué de 100€ - Rien du tout, personnel escroc Le personnel, la propreté, l’isolation
- Isaac (9/5): Super friendly and helpful host, good stay for visiting Mount Huangshan. They stored my luggage while I hiked -
- Carlsson (10/5): - The staff was so lovely and they helped us so much! super nice people:) we are very happy with our stay
- Jorg (2/5): - Het was koud oncomfortabel en onhygiënisch e.g. zwarte schimmel in de badkamer.
- Rachele DIPIERRO (10/5): -
- Eoghan (6/5): Alright, could've been better, could've been worse. Doable for one night if you're just there to see - The room of my friends was right next to a NEON sign, meaning that that had light shining right into their room, and thus a sleep mask is required. Other than that, the windows are very thin, so it's likely you'll wake up due to the cars early in the morning
- BEIHUA (9/5): -
- Ernest (10/5): - Everything was fine, the owner was friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site, and there is an English menu.
- Lai (8/5): Very good - Excellent helpful owner who's also the restaurant owner...a very restful accommodation to Huang Shan Anhui to provide To provide drinking water in room
- Julien (5/5): Passable - Price and location Noisy, light coming inside room from outside
- Lujza (7/5): Good -
- Mike (5/5): Passable - Reasonable room and bed for the price. It's not within walking distance of the mountain. Very noisy at night with things happening in the alley and there is no real lobby or common area. Only a tiny roll of toilet paper is provided and have to keep asking for more.
- Yaffa (10/5): Exceptional - Manager was helpful in arranging my tours, shopiing and transportation. Also cooked my special diet Bigger towel
- Timo (8/5): Very good -
- Bulman (10/5): The best hostel I’ve been to. - The hosts were the kindest, most helpful hostel hosts I’ve ever had. They made us food when we came back late and made it vegetarian when my vegetarian friend could find no other. They even posted me my scarf I left there. I would definitely return.
- Ng (8/5): a visit to famous Huangshan mountain - Location is good , better you can speak Chinese for communication with them , room is clean enough . Little noisy from the outside street.
- Flora (8/5): Had a pleasant stay. - Very friendly host. Helped us Organize a transport from the hostel to huangshan railway station.
Rooms are clean and WiFi is working :) The hostel is a little bit far from the bus stops that bring you to mt huangshan and the ancient towns. It is walkable tho
- Lieselhamilton (1/5): Don't stay here. - Location The double room I booked was supposed to have a window with mountain view. During the check-in the owner said the room we booked has a low shower head and, as we're quite tall, it'd be better for us to upgrade to a better room. It turned out that the better room he suggested was the exact room I booked (shown in the photos in my booking confirmation) and now he wants us to pay 20 yuan a day to get upgraded. I told him that we're going to stay in the better room with no additional charge as this is the room I booked. He said we can only stay in the worse room and if we don't like it, we can find another accommodation. There was to space for negotiation.
The room we stayed in:
- had NO actual window and the bathroom had no ventilation, everything was constantly wet and smelly,
- had only two 20x40 cm towels which was way too little,
- had one small roll of toilet paper (Chinese standard toilet paper roll) which we used up in one day.
Also, on the first night we heard extremely loud conversations/arguments in the hallway that made it impossible for us to sleep. Eventually, around midnight I went out and asked the gentlemen to be quiet. As it turned out, one of them was the owner on the hostel. I guess he was making sure we were getting a quality night sleep.
The owner cheats on booking.com advertising a room that he actually wants his customer to pay more for. I suppose he preys on the fact that most tourists don't know Chinese and will not argue.
All in all, I don't recommend this hostel.
