Brendan (4/5): TIME FOR UPDATES - Staff are very friendly and so accommodating. Floors in the room where dirty, bed sheets where stained, glasses on arrivals where dirty. The room itself was not as per advertised, we viewed the family rooms online and the room we where given was not even on the app. Bathroom need a serious clean up, ventilation also needs to be looked at, along with a shower curtain so the bathroom floor isn't full of water after a shower.

Johan (1/5): Bad experience - Nothing to like. We were given room 13. The room offered after we asked another room, did not have a sea view. We also had to move from one room to another between the Saturday and Sunday. Obviously we prevered to look for another place to stay. They are also revamping. Someone died in the place the previous day. This was a terrible experience.

The property still needs more renovations and complete the building plan cos what on the pictures online is not exactly when u arrive there What they advertised online is not what we get when we arrived. Worse we had to use the back door to enter into our room cos the front door has a problem. Only one chair in the room, no table to use for eating and there was no microwave and ironer. The view was disappointing maybe bcos I’m coming from a proper sea view in Gordon’s Bay. IT IS NOT A HOTEL but it more of a Lodge or guest house.

Hendrik (6/5): I liked it very much, as I did not expect the town to be so nice. - The booking in by the receptionist was done in a very friendly manner. Also, the location close to shops, eateries and bars. Parking was convenient and close to the room. We booked the room that they advertised but did not get it. It was a lesser room that we received. We also needed to book out the following morning by 10h00, but the cleaning person nearly entered the room at 09h30. I had to run out of the shower to stop her from coming in.

Ward (8/5): Nice place - The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The family room was big and clean. It was value for money.We will definitely be back and I recommend the hotel. The hotel didnt have supper, during our stay only breakfast. They should also get a vending machine for snacks or drinks. Pool area is nice but very slippery.
Wienand (5/5): Room - The aircon, and TV plus wifi. This room is honestly a mess from an aesthetic point of view. It feels like a collection of random elements thrown together with zero thought for design or comfort. The bedroom area is particularly awkward. The black tufted headboard tries to look modern and luxurious, but it completely clashes with the rough, textured white walls and the visible wiring hanging down from the air conditioner. The TV is mounted off-center with cables just dangling—nothing is concealed, which makes the whole space feel unfinished and cheap rather than minimalist. The mismatched lighting fixtures on either side don’t help either; instead of creating symmetry or style, they just make the room feel unbalanced. The bathroom is even worse. It looks dated and purely functional, with dull grey tiles and a tired-looking shower curtain that does nothing to elevate the space. There’s no sense of cohesion or design—just basic fixtures that feel more like a temporary setup than a hotel you’d want to relax in. The exposed curtain rail and lack of any decorative touches make it feel cold and uninviting. The ceiling damage and visible stains in the last image are the final straw. Instead of a clean, polished finish, you’re left looking at uneven paint, cracks, and signs of poor maintenance. It gives the impression that upkeep is not a priority at all. Overall, the room feels neglected, mismatched, and poorly styled. It lacks warmth, cohesion, and any real attention to detail—definitely not what you’d expect from a comfortable or visually appealing hotel stay.

I will definitely go back. - From the minute we got there we were greeted by the friendliest group of girls. There was a bit of confusion on my part on the room that was booked but we managed to sort it out and upgraded to a sea facing room. The room itself was spotless however the layout is a bit weird with the open plan design but that was no biggie. The stay was wonderful and the staff were exceptional. A special shout out to Amy who offered to play pool with my son. The girls were so kind to him. I wish the restaurant was fully operational for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, the breakfast we ordered was really lovely. Also, our rooms weren’t cleaned while we were out.

There is a lot of property building happening but little infrastructure as in leisure businesses to support that. The original room offered was quite smelly. It was sea facing (not sea view) garden level. We had booked sea view with balcony. They moved us due to the smell to sea view with balcony (what we actually booked). So we got what we expected and the staff were very lovely about it.

Staci (4/5): - The location is amazing. Bed was comfortable. The room was spacious. The staff were unprofessional from the moment we got there. First nobody was there to help us. Then someone came and tried to help before calling the receptionist. Keys were nowhere to be found. My wife sent a message asking about the times of the restaurant prior to arrival and they said 10pm it closes, when we got there they had casually informed us that the restaurant has been closed since April 2025. The faucets were dripping constantly and the drainage of the shower was not as should be. We have slept at many places (similar in price as well) and have hardly ever needed to complain.

Breakfast was not included and we cud include it for an extra charge but the staff advised us that the breakfast was not great at the hotel. We left and had breakfast at the Wimpy in Langebaan.
Ronald (4/5): Glad we had a short stay. - Staff was friendly and pleasant to speak to. At first glance the room looked clean and beds were comfortable. Sadly, the door to the balcony was busted and wouldn't unlock, so we had no access to it. The balcony had a nice table and chairs that the kids wanted to sit at to enjoy the ocean view, but had to do it through the windows instead. Room had a strange odour that we couldn't identify. Bedside lamp lights were not working. The biggest letdown of our stay was that when we got home, we discovered that we all have bedbug bites... So...there's that! Disappointing, as this place could actually be as nice as it is presented in the photos with improved upkeep.

I made a reservation through Booking.com at a discounted rate; however, upon arrival, I was informed by the front desk staff that the room I had booked “did not look as nice” and that I should upgrade at an additional cost of R600. This was both unexpected and concerning. After requesting to view the originally booked room, I found it to be extremely disappointing and not reflective of the images advertised online. Notably, there were no accurate photos of this specific room category provided at the time of booking. Had the true condition been transparently displayed, I would not have made the reservation—especially considering that it took me approximately three hours to travel to the location based on the appealing images shown online. When I requested to cancel due to the discrepancy, I was eventually offered an upgrade for an additional R200 instead of R600. Unfortunately, the upgraded room was also unsatisfactory. It lacked basic amenities such as a fridge, microwave, and even a headboard, and cleanliness was below acceptable standards, with visible dust present throughout the room. While I appreciate that the front desk staff member remained calm, polite, and willing to assist throughout the process, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. Guests should not be placed in a position where they feel compelled to pay extra simply to receive a room that meets basic standards, regardless of the price originally paid. I would strongly encourage the hotel to improve transparency in its advertising, ensure accurate room representations online, maintain consistent cleanliness, and strive to make all guests feel equally valued. A reputable establishment should uphold the same standards across all room categories. Overall, I cannot consider this stay to be value for money.

There was no remote for the TV and was told they can't find it. The staff bless their hearts had only started a month ago and others 2 days ago. So not exactly trained for the job. They moved us from Room To Room, (3 times) 1st room No. 9 (Back of the HOTEL) Telling us they can Upgrade our Room at No Cost, Then they MOVED us again to a Sea Facing with Balcony, Room no. 3 (@ R500 : from the MANAGER, extra per day, after they said NO ADDITIONAL COST) Then they came. Knocking on our door a few hours Later They came and MOVED us again from that room, to ROOM 12 (On the end of the TOP FLOOR - BACK OF THE HOTEL VIEW) They made a Mistake they need to Down grade us, orders from the New Young MANAGERS. 😡. Services was Pathetic. I would never recommend this Place to NO-ONE.! The Manager forward a message to two of the young girls in telling us if we Wish to upgrade it will cost us R500 per night which will be an Extra R3000 for rest of the Week. And my Husband said NO.! They Never Informed us that the Swimming Pool was not active.. They Using Young Ladies with Short Tennis Skirts in Serving us. I felt embarrassed for my Husband and other Fathers that came there. That could have been our Daughter. This is Terrible in how they treat these Young Girls. One of the Girls Ended her 3months Contract within 2 weeks of being there and she went HOME, to Port Elizabeth. A Family came with their 2 Full Grown Black and White Collies into the Food Area (Lounge) where we had Breakfast. They were planning on having Breakfast with the Dogs on their side as if it was their kids 😡. If we should Grade them it will not be a 1 but a definite "0". Managers are Unfriendly, Looking down on people as if they are Better then all. They had this RACIST tendencies. We really felt out of place. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO NO ONE. Carmen (3/5): Bad experience - Location The pool was not functional neither the restaurant. To top it off the breakfast the following morning was such a bad experience. We waited an 1h30 for breakfast & were offered something to drink when we first came arrived but in that time waiting for breakfast we were not asked if we needed anything else to drink. To top it off they got the order wrong.When I eventually asked we were told that breakfast only comes with 1 drink…I have never ever experienced this in any hotel or establishment I’ve stayed @ all over the world. I then had to pay for an extra drink & when I asked for a glass of water they literally brought me warm water from the tap..disgusting. There were 2 young ladies running reception & taking breakfast orders. They were so inexperienced & unapologetic & you could clearly see they were overwhelmed. No manager or supervisor on duty!!

The upgraded chalet we were put in was not fully prepared. The cleaning lady only brought towels and toilet paper the next day. No bins anywhere, except outside.
