• Brad (2/5): Buyer beware: You will NOT see very important details until you send a WhatsApp message. - The apartment was spacious with clean sheets and floors. The grounds around the complex seemed to be very nice. There was a lot of parking. Buyer beware: You will NOT see important details until after you make a non-refundable booking and then message the owner on WhatsApp. This turned into a clear bait-and-switch. I booked this for one night (just to sleep before an early flight) for 4 people at $154 total on Booking.com. After booking, I sent a WhatsApp message that evening to let her know we would arrive late. Only then did I receive a full list of extra details. I was told there were no toiletries at all (not even basic soap) and that passport information had to be sent in advance. When we arrived at the gate at 10pm with two kids, I was told over the phone that I had to pay an extra $50 for them, even though this was not clearly stated during booking. The apartment had issues, "hair" on both toilets, no basic supplies, and a very poor layout. The bunk bed room door barely opens due to a wall, making it extremely hard to get a suitcase inside. We had to use the living room instead. The “balcony” has no chairs, but you can stand an enjoy the view of the G-Spot strip club right across the street. You also need to bring all basic items like soap, shampoo, and towels if you want to use the pool. You only learn these things after contacting the owner on WhatsApp, where she also asks for payment through PayPal “friends and family” so you pay the fees. Overall, what should have been a simple, low-cost overnight stay became more expensive, inconvenient, and frustrating. I recommend choosing a hotel where pricing is clear and basic essentials are included, and owners aren't rude and indignant about clear discrepancies.

• Luc (9/5): C’était trop dispendieux pour ce qu’on a eu! - Beau grand condo. Belle grande piscine. Près de la plage et de la ville où on y trouve des restaurants, des magasins et des épiceries. Manque un peu d’entretien dans le condo: portes d’armoires qui ne ferment pas, lave-linge très rouillé, grille-pain qui ne fonctionne pas, chaudrons et poêles dont le fond est émaillé et courbé, les jets de douche considérablement bouchés par le calcaire, le filtre à air du corridor bouché par la poussière, eau chaude en quantité minime, présence de beaucoup de fourmi même si on était au 6e étage. À la piscine, il manque de chaises. Il faut être là à 8h si on veut en avoir.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Costa Linda stay - We enjoyed our stay at Costa Linda. The appartment was clean and had eveything we needed. Eveling was very responsive and helpful.
• Leona (6/5): Other than the location, this was not what we expected - The location was great! The suite was roomy and living room was comfortable. The pool was large and great for relaxing The advertisement indicated we were getting a pool view. We got a view of the construction site and was woken up every day with banging from the noise. There was advertisement of laundry facility in the room but it was locked and could not use it. The spare bathroom had a constant running noise and the kitchen cabinets did not close properly. The suite is in need of cosmetic repairs.
• teresa (2/5): - I saved to go to Costa Rica for 10 years, I am a 55-year-old women who was traveling alone, the first night I arrived at the condo I could not get into the condo, I messaged Expedia for 2 hours, The end of the conversation with Expedia this is the response "I'm sorry but the condo owner has not responded" I had to stay in the rental car. Not knowing the area was on the USA Embassy's list of dont go places a bag was stoleing out of the rental car. I felt my life was in danger, I only stayed 1 night and the next day I drove to the airport and payed $750.00 For a flight home. it was a 3 day nightmare trip i paid almost 10k to expedia and cant get my money back.

• Jessica (2/5): TERRIBLE property manager - This is the worst property we have stayed throughout our costa rica trip. They messed up our checkin and provided all the wrong details. We found out about the change of room to a building without elevator access only after we arrived at the property. And their response to their mistake is to take it or leave it. We tried to be chill since we loved everything about Costa Rica. But 2 hours after using the property, we received warnings from the security guards that they can expel us for 2 issues: 1. It is not allowed to enter the building wet. 2. it is not allowed to hang swimsuit in the window or outside the building. The terrible thing is that we have never received these rules in any form prior to using their pool. Secondly, the moment we did the above, we got warned by the security and corrected it right away. Yet, they still sent warnings to both the gate security and hotels.com. Considering that they gave us such a big hassle at the last minute for checkin, I found it unacceptable for these behaviors. You only report issues to the security if the person knows the rules AND doesn't stop. Why do they threaten their customers when we stopped doing it right after learning the rules THE FIRST TIME???? Stay away from this property otherwise it will ruin your vacation.

• Nirday (8/5): Good value for money - The apartment located in a close guarded compound, which is very well maintained. The rooms are large. The facilities in the apartment are very good. There is a pool in the compound which is very nice. About 15 min walk to the city and the main beach. All the communication with the owner was via WhatsApp, and she was very tough in her demand. For example, she didn't let in the compound (instructed the guard) until we didn't send her full payment and some other details she asked about all the guest (we were 5). Also she didn't let us to use the laundry machine, since we came for one nigh (later we extended one more night, and she let us use the laundry machine).

• Maritza (4/5): - The condo was fine but the refrigerator wasnt working properly and our groceries went bad twice. We attempted to contact the owner and the problem was not resolved. We contacted expedia and they also did not resolve the issue. After a sudden death in the family we left several days early to come for funeral services and a refund of the unused time was not given either. The overall experience was terrible.
• Jorge (8/5): Overall satisfied - Overall satisfied with the stay. A small delay during check in. Also a miscommunication on reservation of the pool hours. The apartment was clean and equipped.
• Daniel (6/5): Trying hard to spend money - When we arrived it took almost 30 minutes to get through the front gate. Security is nice but not when you’re made to feel as if they don’t want to have you there. The condominium was clean and everything was in order. After day 2 I went to wash clothes and the machine started flooding the floor so I turned it off, called Managment and they could not speak hardly any English. Luckily my friend Bruce could speak enough Spanish to communicate. They chastised us for using the washer, we used almost all the available towels in the condo to stop the water from going throughout the condo. And went out for the night. Came back and the clothes in the washer were hanging on the balcony rails which I believed was thoughtful. No replacement towels provided and next morning a knock on the door and to my surprise I was told to remove the clothes from the balcony it was against policy. Still no replacement towels. Toilet paper, towel hooks, etc all about to come out of the walls. Get a call from manager yelling about bad review, which I had not even finished, finally got replacement towels. They locked the washer room which meant we had to buy toilet paper because the replenishment rolls were in the washer room. All of this during a time in which you would think the PAYING guest would be the MOST welcome. It’s just getting way to hard to spend money and be treated as a GUEST rather than a nuisance.

The grounds and building are kept in perfect conditions. The pool amenities are truly as good as it looks in the pictures. I'll try to stay here again. Very, very comfortable place to stay.
