Guest Reviews
- Jeffrey (10/5): - It’s a nice little town, the breakfast in the morning was awesome
- Hanna (10/5): Highly recommended - What a great place! Cathy and Scott are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfortable, peaceful and Cathy makes delicious breakfast!
- Jon (10/5): Skip the chain hotels - Very interesting old home with loads of antiques. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the included breakfast was very good. The bathroom assigned to the room we stayed in was huge with a claw foot tub/shower. House is on huge landscaped lot. Big wrap-around front porch to hang out on. Will definitely stay in again when in the area.
- Herbert (8/5): - Damn near perfect. The food was phenomenal. The house is amazing. The array of collectibles, and antiques, make the experience very much worthwhile. The hosts are amazing. We stayed in the Safari room, and loved it. So many conveniences and comforts. The only thing that needs expanding is the wi-fi. And quite frankly they probably blame the ghosts for that. I kept disconnecting constantly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service, food and attention. I will definitely be back.
- Diane (10/5): - Been there before and would go again
- Shawnna (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay! The rooms are beautiful and the owners are extremely lovely and kind. I cannot recommend staying here enough. Enjoy! I look forward to my next visit!

- Megan (10/5): - We had an amazing time! The owners make you feel like family. The home is gorgeous and filled with amazing antiques. Scott is full of information about the history of the home and the antiques in the home. They offer ghost tours and a special tea time. Cathy is very kind and welcoming and a very good cook! We would definitely stay here again.

- Kevin (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at the Daffodale House. The owners were engaging and knowledgeable of the area.
- Patricia (10/5): Awesome host and hostess - Excellent meals. Mahi mahi and ravioli. Dessert was excellent also. Oreo cake. The host and hostess were kind , welcoming, flexible with our dinner reservation The bed was comfortable however in the carousel room there is a lot of road noise so if you’re a light sleeper beware. Overall excellent stay. Our first b&b experience.
- David (10/5): - Delicious rib eye steak dinner and breakfast. Room was very clean but a bit noisy due to street traffic at night. This is an historic home and not sound proof from adjacent room. Overall a pleasant stay and a new experience for us.
- Tanell (10/5): What a Stay!!! - What can I not say about the amazing B&B and the wonderful couple that own it. We opted for the tour which is worth its weight in gold. Scotty is so funny and Cathy is an amazing cook. This place is filled with such charm.
- Helen (10/5): Great b&b - The hosts of the Daffodale house were wonderful. We took the trip to Monticello Florida because we come from Monticello New York. Imagine our surprise when the host was familiar with our Monticello.btge room was quirky and comfortable. The food both dinner and breakfast outstanding. Cathy is a marvelous cookb. I had mahi mahi, my husband the rub eye sreah both cooked to perfection and more than enough.bsvott entained us with his stories of our Sullivan county in New York.bbithvscottvand Cathy were great and very hospitable. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone in the area and even to make a special trip to see the place. you won't be disappointed.
- Ralph (10/5): - Friendly, personable hosts. Dinner and breakfast were amazing! Room and house were clean, quiet, and comfortable. I'm
- Lisa (10/5): Enjoyed the entire experience - The Carriage House is the most eccentric , adorable place you’ll ever find. And it includes all you need, a small kitchen, a huge comfortable bed, desk and more. It’s totally private- the house is s shirt walk from the parking lot and main guest house/restaurant. We hope to stay there again!
- Patricia (10/5): Wonderful Stay! - Our stay was wonderful. We were met by Kathy upon arrival and made to feel so welcome. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! Beautiful house!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great B & B - Great stay! Carriage house was a lot of fun and nice and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Tiffany (8/5): - Lovely setting, right in the heart of town. Delicious breakfast and optional dining in the evenings.
- Kenneth (10/5): - A spooky and extraordinary experience! The daffodale house is a house everyone should visit and experience. The house has an amazing collection of unique and old things that each have their own story. Ghosts are attached to this house and if ur lucky, maybe u will see them! The outside area is very beautiful with cozy decorations and statues. There are many cute cats and kittens and also a small bamboo forest outside, that makes this place one of a kind!
Food and wine is also excellent, thanks Kathy!
- Morgan (10/5): - .
- Barbara (10/5): Fun stay - The hosts were wonderful. The room was charming. I would definitely stay again.
- Mark (10/5): - What a great stay! Kathy and Scotty are amazing. The decor in the sleeping room made the stay fun as the house is loaded with interning memorabilia and antiques. Kathy’s meals were absolutely delicious!
- Josette (10/5): - Friendly hosts!
- Rana (10/5): - This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in, the owners made it feel like I was staying over at my parents’ place. I’m deeply touched by their kindness and the place is extremely elegant & very clean. The breakfast was excellent too. I will come back for sure!
- Jeff (10/5): - The property is a throwback to a long ago era. Scott and Kathy, who, by the way, are exceptional hosts, have managed to keep the character of the old house intact, with vintage furniture and decor throughout the house and garden, original plumbing fixtures that work amazingly well, and last but not least, wonderful home cooked meals prepared by the talented Chef Kathy. Don’t forget to pick up a copy of her cookbook while you’re there.
This is a far cry from the modern push button world that we’ve grown accustomed to, but if you want to experience what an affluent lifestyle was like during your great grandparents heyday, this is a great opportunity to do just that. One night with Scott and Kathy and you’ll feel like you’re coming home to family. I’m sure you’ll feel the same.
- Luis (10/5): - Scotty and his wife will make feel at home ,the food is very good and place is unique.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - nothing!!! house full of junk everwhere dusty paid $30.00 for white wine , was served warm!!! would not return!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming B&B - Charming B&B in Monticello, FL. B&B hosts were super nice and the inn had a nice feel. Room was quiet and clean. Scott gave me good ideas of state parks to see. Stay for their dinner, It is worth it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Camellia Trees were just beginning to bloom on the 3 acres of property, the accommodations and house were absolutely spectacular and our Hosts were wonderful!
- art (10/5): Enjoyed - Excellent owners. Good breakfast and an enjoyable dinner.
- Gina (10/5): - Both Cathy and Scotty are amazing Hosts! I highly recommend this BnB for anyone including families...they leave out the scary stories and focus on the history of the home and all the wonderful belongings they have collected over many years if traveling with little ones. But the best part, not saying the grounds and decor and stories weren’t enough, the chef...Cathy is amazing, superb quality, delicious seasonings and just plain out fantastic from sitting and salads and homemade bread and dressing until dessert/ leaving, to fruit placed on the table with fresh mint and OJ awaiting us first thing in the morning. Ordered ahead the dinner reservations for us and was so high end all the way! Also, made us really feel like family! Thank you again for your hospitality, delish food, great room with everything needed, stories and wonderful home!!
- jennifer (10/5): Comfortable, Quirky and a joy - This stay was to break our road journey but boy are we glad to have stayed there. It was so interesting, quirky and comfortable, the host and hostess could not have been more helpful, I would thoroughly recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very unique property. Tons of antiques. Cathy is an amazing chef.
- Dave (10/5): - Very interesting building, full of artefacts and so on. Host very nice and friendly. Comfy bed, nice breakfast.
- Pamela (4/5): If you like sleeping in a junk shop.... - We stayed in the "carriage house." Grossly over-decorated to the point of claustrophobic. Hand wired lamps, gas heaters, and items hanging from the ceiling to the point of feeling unsafe. Dusty. No close access - must walk across lawn and up an unstable block of concrete to enter. Poor internet option.
- WWS (10/5): - Fantastic food. Very nice to be off the beaten path, although it was in the city. Very pleasurable to visit with the owners. It was enjoyable to be somewhere different than the "cookie cutter" motels.
- Brian (8/5): Unique B n B. - Most unique place we have stayed. Hosts were wonderfully accommodating. Place was loaded with antiques and memorabilia, far too much for our taste, even though we like antiques. We stayed in the Victoria room, our bath was private but down the hall. It was the old fashioned claw foot tub that took some work to take a shower. Breakfast was very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This one of the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Will be back for sure. Delicious dinner and breakfast. 5 stars
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Owners were great host and dinner and breakfast were delicious!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staying at Daffodale House is amazing. We were booked into the carriage house in back of the main house. This is the Cowboys and Indians room; it is utterly amazing. The rooms in the main house are equally extraordinary. The antiques, artifacts and memorabilia, etc. are just mind blowing; what an experience. The lady of the house, Cathy, greeted us warmly and showed us around. She made dinner for us (not included) which was outstanding and a delicious breakfast (included) to see us on our way. Her husband was an excellent host also, entertaining us greatly with stories about the house and other info. If you want a completely different B n' B experience, a magical mystery tour, treat yourself to a stay at Daffodale House. You won't regret it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming, visually interesting and homey bed and breakfast. Cathy and Scotty are friendly, ingormarive and all around nice people who truly take care of their guests.
- David (10/5): - Friendly funky and fun!
