Guest Reviews
- Robert (6/5): Convenient but noisy - Location is central with lots of restaurants around Some of the rooms have windows on to the atrium - lack of fresh air, but also lots of noise rising from people hanging around in the lobby.
- Cecilie (7/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Would definitely stay here again!! - Great location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, an elevator and restaurant on site. They allowed me to check in early and also allowed me to do a late afternoon checkout (small fee for the late ckout). There was always Coca tea and coffee available in the sitting area which was very nice. I had a massage at the little place in the hotel and it was GREAT and super affordable. The restaurant had limited hours. The rooms directly facing Matara Street were VERY loud. I requested and received an interior room on my return stay and it was quiet and comfy.
- Laura (9/5): -
- Pamela (7/5): - Comfortable room and bed.
Lovely balcony
Helpful staff
Spa services Elevator didn't work reliably.
Mediocre breakfast
- Sid2016 (8/5): Nice amd clean Hotel 🌼 - It was clean, and the cleaning staff was wonderful. The room size was perfect for three people – we were in a four-bed room. And there was free parking (reserved in advance after prior arrangement – highly recommended). Everything went smoothly. The room was very, very noisy – the windows are just single-pane glass. The hotel is very poorly soundproofed.
- Jeffrey (9/5): -
- Cherrel (7/5): Pleasant rooms - Our room was modest but comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Showers were warm enough to enjoy. Prisma is on a bustling street that was not - in our experience- noisey at night. We easily found our way to the central core and main attractions. The front desk personnel did not seem to enjoy their jobs or the guests. They helped when they were asked. No warmth or welcome. Breakfast was not great. We stayed a total of 4 days (2 with a tour) and each day there were warm chopped hot dogs. Stone cold eggs and one other option that was hot at some time was also offered.
- Atle (8/5): - valgte rom i 4 etasje med balkong/Veranda Frokosten kunne vært mer utvalg, f.eks kokte egg, omelett, speilegg etc.
- Jessi (9/5): -
- Terri Powell (10/5): Great hotel - The room was lovely. Very clean and well equipped. I had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the hills. The location was good. It felt very safe. I liked everything except.. when I changed to a tour group (on the third night) we were given an internal room with windows to the hallways. No privacy and very noisy. I also noticed the staff were less helpful and warm. It was a significant contrast. Considering the tour groups are supporting this hotel.. I would think they should give equal service.
- John (9/5): - Great location only few min walk to main square staff very helpful bright and nice and clean A little noisy you could here people in other rooms the restaurant could be better but it cusco peru
- Darion (10/5): -
- Darion (5/5): Fine but very very noisy. - Hotel is clean, bright & modern with comfortable beds. The noise levels are insane, the guests don’t seem to have any etiquette whatsoever, people are obviously trying to rest to adjust to the altitude, between 02:00 & 07:00 it’s quiet ish, after that the noise levels are just crazy, I think the hotel staff need to monitor this more. As I write this I’ve got the cleaners stood right outside having a full blown conversation while working for the last 30 minutes it’s 7am once again I’ve only had 4 hours sleep, doors slamming, shouting constantly and very very rude guests that do not have a single bit of courtesy for others.
- Cara W (8/5): Reasonable budget choice - Good location, relatively quiet (higher floors were better)
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Laundry was good value (7 soles per kg), and done same day if you hand in by 8am
Massage facility at the hotel was good
Soap in room but nothing else Shower temperature was hit & miss - took a while!
Breakfast was okay but often run out, so had to keep going back to see if stocked.
- Ilze (9/5): Hotel with a great view from the room terrace - I had booked a room with a terrace and it was great. But if you book a room without a terrace, many of the rooms have windows facing the building's corridors. There is no fresh air at all. The reception staff were responsive, helped arrange a tour, the room was very clean. The view from the terrace is great and the location is also good. Breakfast is served from 5.00 AM. The breakfast was adequate, but from the photos on booking.com it looked better with more choice. Very early check-out - 10.00 AM.
- John (8/5): -
- David (6/5): - Walls were paper thin
- keeley (7/5): It was a pleasant stay & at least was very clean - It had a lift, rooms were a nice size, staff allowed us to store our luggage Maybe a bit expansive for what it is, location is a little out of the main area
- Kate (9/5): Lovely stay - best breakfast - Handy safe location, close to transport and shopping, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room, exceptional breakfast Small swimming pool right next to the restaurant
- Daniah (10/5): Felt like HOME - Amazing people :) - I experienced higher altitude sickness my 3rd-4th day while staying at Cusco. The staff immediately brought me oxygen and contacted the on-call doctor who immediately came and put me on oxygen for the next few hours, as I also had a flight later the evening of my 4th day stay. The on-call doctor retuned and re-assessed and provided the corresponding travel insurance documents, making the process seamless.. The hotel staff were very helpful, ensuring that my luggage was put inside Uber and made my journey as painless as possible. I am very appreciative of everyone who made this journey exceptional and put my medical needs above everything. Thank you! No complaints. All was exceptional
- Mauricio Antonio (9/5): -
- Albert (8/5): Convenient - Location and comfort Traffics noise
- Hinako (7/5): -
- Mitra (8/5): Nice but the rooms are not soundproof as indicated! - The room came with a very nice balcony/patio area I picked the hotel because it said rooms were soundproof but they're not. Staff had no idea what I was talking about. Also, I paid for a double bed but they gave me a room with two twin beds and didn't lower the price
- Laura (7/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): - Excellent location - 10 mins from airport, walking distance to old town, walking distance to meeting point for InkaRail to MachuPicchu. Very helpful staff, comfortable room. We loved the room we chose, which had a private terrace. After going in taxi, we recognized other potential places we could have stayed, and were so glad we chose Prisma because many places were much further location or not so nice locations. Basic breakfast. Not many options.
- Helen (9/5): Easy and convenient. I was part of a guided tour - Great location and helpful staff Nothing
- Raghu (8/5): - Good place to stay, everything
- Clare (8/5): - Clean and comfortable, good location If your room faces the front of the hotel rhe main street is very Loud.
- Daniel (8/5): - Good location and friendly/helpful staff. The rooms don’t keep out much noise form the main areas.
- Sergio (10/5): Conforto e bom atendimento - Atendimento e limpeza Nada a dizer
- Johan (10/5): - Everything was good
- Fernando (6/5): RESTAURANTE - DECENTE, PERO LA ATENCIO EN RESTAURATE MUY REGULAR
- Sam (10/5): - Good location, comfy and bright room. Good breakfast.
- Alexandra (10/5): -
- Christopher Andrew (9/5): An enjoyable nights stay in Cusco and was sorry I could not stay longer. - Location was fine and the breakfast was very good. Nothing.
- IBAÑEZ (9/5): -
- Alicja (6/5): -
- Carolina (10/5): -
- Marie (8/5): Very decent hotel for a food price - Very cute room with a balcony (city view), spacious bathroom, elevator, nonstop reception with kind personel, availability of laundry for a decent prize. 15 minutes walk from the main square. Nothing, the beast deal for such prize but there were rooms with no windows (only to corridor) so choose which room you get
- Jill (8/5): - loved the balcony.. the property was nice, it was only a little noisy at night with the traffic, but definitely in a walkable area in town. Def a spot I would book again.
- Gail (7/5): Clean and close to walk any where - Easy to walk to anywhere, minimarts close by, adequate breakfast Front Staff were somewhat unsmiling couldn’t get a smile out of any of them hah
- jos (8/5): -
- DAVID (10/5): -
- Roela Pamela (7/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Get value for a great stay in Cusco! - Prisma was clean and comfy and our room even had a nice terrace with a view of the mountains. I’d definitely go back. There’s nothing about the prisma I didn’t like.
- LAURA LETICIA (6/5): - El hotel bien y limpio. No pude descansar.
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Jessica (7/5): - I stayed here twice - before the Inca trail and then after and it’s tricky to rate because the rooms were very different and this impacted my opinion of the hotel greatly. My first stay was in a beautiful balcony room which was amazing - spacious and quiet. My second stay was in a basic room and that’s what it was… very basic and very noisy (not from the street but from the other hotel guests - the soundproofing was non existent. So my recommendation would be to upgrade and stay in one of the nicer rooms - the basic is good if it’s just a place to sleep and you won’t be spending much time in the room. Staff were excellent and breakfast was good. They stored my bags for the few days I was away on the Inca trail.
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Ali (6/5): Functional but frustrating stay. - Clean, comfortable beds Poor wifi, noisy rooms, lack of hot water, mediocre breakfast options. No laundry on Sunday.
- Richard (4/5): - There was no WiFi in my room. Even when given another way to log in, it didn’t work. The third time I brought it up, the man at the desk shrugged his shoulders. I wasn’t the only one with this problem. Many people would stand in the hallways.
- Holly (6/5): - This is an older property which adds to its charm, but the mold in the room was gross. Bed was okay. They did have a heat/ac unit in the room.Shower water pressure was better than most. Not too far from restaurants and shops but area is mostly residential. They did bring breakfast to our room, which was nice.
- Tapio (8/5): Good choice in Cusco - Good breakfast and staff Room could have been a bit warmer
- DINA BLANCA (8/5): - Muy limpio, pequeñas habitaciones y baño... basico pero comfortable. Gracias por su hospitalidad.
- Ronwyn (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and neat . Super helpful front desk who were always available no matter the hours when our tours left super early. Great location and lovely rooms with balconies
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (8/5): Met all my expectations -
- Borisz (10/5): Wonderful, comfortable stay, with super helpful staff - This place is highly recommended. Only 2 corners away from the central square, in a safe neighborhood, with a wonderful view on the surrounding mountains. Our room was super spacious and had an amazing corner balcony. The heater, the hot shower and the internet all worked well. The breakfast was great too!
- Vali (10/5): Exceptional - We had a beautiful room with an awesome terrace!
- Barry (3/5): Too loud at night - Hotel itself was very nice. It was clean and fairly modern. I even had a really nice balcony one of the nights Very noisy at night, could hear absolutely everything from the streets below. Even though I was on the 4th floor it sounded like people were right outside my window. I got about 3 hours sleep and that's being generous. Breakfast really wasn't great, had to pay extra for eggs
- Minjeong (6/5): It can be cold but with extra cozy blanket they put it on the shelf is very helpful. - Renovated room and they gave me a room which has balcony with view. Staff are not really friendly. When I got to the room, they were painting the wall so the smell was very strong.
- Carol (7/5): Historic building in a good location - Historic building, nice balcony, good location, friendly staff Paper thin walls
- Cesar (10/5): - Todo muy bien,volverÃa otra vez.
- Rachael (9/5): Love the early check in and location - - location
- early check in
- reception staff were really friendly
- clean -charge for eggs for breakfast
- I stayed in a few different rooms as was on a tour and one of them that had windows into the corridor was quite noisy and felt couldn’t keep the window open due to safety and also when showering as people can easily look in
- CARLOS A MORENO (10/5): - Muy buen lugar impecable !!
- Ana (10/5): Was grateful that staff was very helpful and professional. Clean rooms and comfortable - Welcome the coca tea was very helpful. Staff really nice willing to help
- Murdoch (9/5): Superb -
- Murdoch (8/5): Very good - Great location Rooms were a bit noisy.
- Beatriz (2/5): - No hot water, no toilet paper, uncomfortable bed, dirty socks from previous client. We book 2 nights and left next day.
- Steffani (10/5): - All staff very nice and helpful!
- Walter (10/5): - This was quite a pleasant surprise. The hotel was impeccably clean, conveniently located for dining and service was incredible. Our room had a balcony overlooking the hillside and the breakfast was terrific. This was a terrific experience.
- Brendan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Purva (9/5): I recommend this hotel! - Location, really helpful staff and amazing breakfast! Slightly noisy, but they could be due to too many groups.
- Ashley (7/5): Good location - Location was great. Staff packed me breakfast when I had to leave early for a tour. Towels were like sandpaper, they need to use fabric softener, shower curtain did not keep water off the floor, they need the plastic sheet, the key was very difficult to unlock the door-looks like the keyless entry no longer works on the doors, no lights in the hallways at night, has to use my phone flashlight. Maybe add a shelf in the shower for soap?
Overall it was a fine accommodation, but for the price it seems like it needs some updates.
- Brendan (6/5): Pleasant - The location was within a reasonable walking distance. The noise. You can hear the road, people on the street and clubs until all hours of the morning.
- Darwin (10/5): - It’s such a beautiful place to stay in Cusco
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Property is a good option for a night or two in Cusco. Convenient location that is short walk to the main square. There is a market close by for snacks, water, etc. The accommodations are basic but are a good launching point for Peru adventurers. The main draw back is that there are many travelers that are taking early morning excursions and it can be really noisy from about 4 to 5 am with doors and talking as people head out.
- Vens (8/5): Very good -
- Carlos (8/5): - .
- Lavoie (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms were clean with modern bathroom. Staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. Centraly located. No dislike. It was all great.
- Jones (7/5): Good -
- Michelle (9/5): Really good location, good service bu the staff, storage, clean and nice room - The location, the staff service The drinks
- Amy (10/5): Would stay again - We had a balcony room and it was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bonus.
- Irene (10/5): - Some staff are not very helpful.
- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Angelica (10/5): - Excelente servicio y comodidad.
- William (9/5): Superb - Great location at a good price, nice on-site restaurant as well Nothing we did not like
- Becky (8/5): Very good - The location was great. The restaurant had good trout for dinner.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shivanand (10/5): - 12 minute walk to the historic center. Clean and warm rooms. The tours were able to pick us up easily at this hotel.
- Kerry (8/5): - Very comfortable room walkable distance to attractions in central Cuzco. Good hot water system which is not a given in Peru. My only criticism is could hear people yelling on the street at wee hours. Would book again.
