When I checked in the staff member wasn’t that - The anything snacks placed out for the guest and the prime coffee machine had a place to sit and smoke the $5 dollar gym pass Had no good channels to watch on tv . Was bare minimum. Could hear every working girl and her johns doing the dirty . And can hear every last sound in the hallways from other rooms

- Brenda (10/5): Great customer service - I stayed for 4 nights with my child , staff were friendly and polite on arrival and shown us our room . The twin room I initially booked was a little small , once mentioned my room was upgraded for an additional charge which I was happy with . Rooms were bright and clean with laminated flooring throughout , a fridge , microwave and cable tv. There was complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks on reception daily. I found that the staff went above and beyond and catered to your needs .I would definitely recommend this hotel . There was nothing I disliked - I will definitely recommend .

- Judith (10/5): Next time I visit Metro Vancouver, I am booking the Queens Hotel. - I liked the good security of the building. It is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The parking lot had great lighting and I felt I didn't need to worry about my new car being vandalized. The Queens Hotel is secure password entry and the lobby is very quiet and like being at home with lots of nice homelike touches. It felt like my own living room. If you want fancy and glitzy, you should book the Marriott. The beds and linen were awesome. If you are driving, the best part is that it is close to everything you want to visit. Vancouver, Delta, New Westminster, Burnaby, Surrey and the Fraser Valley plus YVR airport and Tsawwassen Ferry terminals are a quick commute away. I stayed at a Coast Hotel in November and they wowed me with a 75 inch TV on the wall. If you want to watch anything on TV at Queens Hotel, the equipment is super tiny. Maybe 32 inch TV.
- Yiting (7/5): The high rating felt misleading, and overall, I was disappointed. - The parking is free and located behind the hotel. The surrounds are quiet in the evening. Two bottles of water are provided, which is a thoughtful touch. The room meets all the basic needs. The experience did not match the value. There is no lift, and both the building and the room facilities feel quite old. I couldn’t even find a proper cup for drinking water in the room (there was only a paper cup next to the bathroom sink, which didn’t feel suitable for drinking). The room was also quite cold when I arrived — the heating was set to 0, and it took a few hours to warm up after I turned it on. In my view, the current rating (>8) feels misleading; a score around 7 would be more accurate.

- Juls (10/5): Nice clean hotel in an unknown area - I needed a a pet friendly place to stay in New West, and this boutique hotel in a strip mall came up. Highlights: the machine in the lobby that makes you a tasty latte, my room has a nice deep bathtub, the fridge was decently sized, the bed was very comfy. Unfortunately the pet friendly rooms are basically adjoined, so if your neighbour is yelling at his dogs and kids all night, you’ll be privy to it. The worst part was that his dog had the same name as mine, so my pup was traumatized thinking someone was yelling at him. Luckily the yelling man through the locked door was only there 1 out of 2 nights, but you should also be aware that if your stay overlaps with the business week, there is a daycare in the same building. Not that we would ever complain about children playing, but if you want to sleep in, make sure the playground isn’t outside your window! But otherwise, polite, responsive, and friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great place to stay in a relatively unknown neighbourhood.

Got a little noisy with screaming toddlers but overall not too bad. A little weird that the doors are locked 24 hours a day. The neighborhood seems pretty good so I’m not sure why they do that. Staff were incredibly friendly and nice. Far above average, in fact, quite excellent.

Complimentary coffee , snacks and cheap vending machines. Free parking in Vancouver is a massive plus too! 10/10 will definitely stay again when in the area
- Jennifer (8/5): - We stayed at the Queens Hotel during the Air Canada strike that left our family stranded in Vancouver after an alaskan cruise. The hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside but it was charming and clean. The best part of this place, though, was the amazing staff! We were in a stressful situation and they were so kind and helpful. They let us have a late check out and when we had to stay another night, they had kept our rooms for us just in case we needed them. Every staff member we met was so kind and helpful!! We enjoyed our stay (despite the circumstances)!!

You can tell they cared about the service they provided. When I called with an early check in request, due to my daughter being extremely car sick, they were quick to arrange an early check in. - Tonya (8/5): Cute, quirky, and snug. - They have the BEST staff! Incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. They keep the property up well and the free snacks in the lobby are a fun touch. They had air con, which you don’t always find— it was on the louder side, which is perfect in my opinion! We traveled around the area a lot and appreciated the location and vicinity to various major roads (without road noise notable from our room). Our room was a tight fit! The bed was pushed against a wall, so whoever slept on the “inside” had to scoot to the end of the bed to get up or climb over the other person. We thought it was hilarious but it is something to keep in mind if you’re older or not able to do something like that. You park behind the property in a well lit parking lot. There is a group of adults who clearly spend a majority of their time behind the neighboring liquor store in the shade of the trees at all hours. We weren’t expecting that!
- Clara (10/5): - This hotel is a bit old in age but it offers features that other hotels can't bear for a reasonable price to stay. It's a very quiet space situated in an area that's close enough to convenience stores or restaurants. There's a gym next door for guests who love to stay fit. Enough parking spaces in back of building if you have a vehicle. Guests are offered free water bottles in the fridge in their room and complimentary snacks put out daily at front desk to enjoy. One thing I'm a little unsatisfied about was the cleanliness of the bathroom. But I won't dock too many points off for that simply because housekeepers have lots to do--and often within a limited time, so mistakes can happen from time to time. The problem as corrected when I asked housekeeping to redo it to make the remainder of our stay more comfortable.

- Mirella (10/5): Great place to stay in expensive Vancouver!! - Great place! Vancouver is very expensive so this hotel is very affordable in comparison. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is smallish but perfect for a solo traveler. Very clean, modern. I liked the little art pieces and colors added to the room and check-in area. Also loved the free parking! Getting there over the bridge was insanely busy with traffic!

The hotel is clean, bed comfy, good value and friendly service. The only issue was the walls are thin… the family in the room next door were loudly having conversations, packing up and arguing at 6 AM….. we could hear everything. But this is. It the staff’s fault - still gets a 5 star.

We didn’t need a pool and we weren’t going to spend over $400 to sleep one nightin a room, nor did we want to sleep above a bar or in an area where it wasn’t safe to walk around outside. Queens Hotel hits all the marks. Clean comfortable, safe and affordable and it actually has a pretty cool little stylistic flare to it. Don’t forget to sit on the Royal Einfeld motorcycle and get a picture in the lobby. I love this place!

- Nina (1/5): Run-down hotel with unbearable chemical smell, poor value for money, and unhelpful service—definitely not recommended. - Nothing The Queens Hotel is a smaller property located in New Westminster. Upon entering, we were immediately hit by a strong chemical odor. The lobby was cluttered and uninviting. After checking in, we discovered there was no elevator and a steep staircase led to the upper floors. The strong smell continued throughout the hallways and into our room. Within a short time, we developed severe headaches. After careful consideration, we had no choice but to check out early as the environment was unbearable. We requested a refund, but were denied because we had “used” the room—despite only washing our hands and not staying. The price-performance ratio was absolutely unjustified. For the same price, there are much better hotels available closer to the airport. Overall, the hotel felt run-down and poorly maintained. In our opinion, it doesn’t deserve any stars. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

The AC machine in the room was a portable rolling floor style however there was no exhaust vent to push the hot air outside rendering it ineffective.

- Nancy (9/5): It was a great experience. - The staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, nice bedding and towels. The surrounding area was very interesting, restaurants close by and a market. The snacks provided were great! The room was a little smaller than we expected, but still comfortable.
