- Richard (9/5): Wenn wir wieder in die Gegend kommen, ist das de Ladda für uns das erste Haus am Platz - Gute Lage direkt am Mekong, schöner kleiner Pool, Zimmer mit Balkon - Poolblick und Blick über den Mekong. Wir haben es als Ausgangspunkt für einen Daytrip nach Savannakhet genutzt. Das Hotel bietet das, was in der Beschreibung steht. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Bisschen geärgert haben wir uns über das Servicepersonal des Restaurants. Der Kellner war immer mit seinem Smartphone beschäftigt. Man musste schon hingehen und ihm auf die Schulter tippen, damit er merkt, dass der Gast was braucht. Hoffentlich ein Einzelfall.

Could only open the bathroom door half way because of the worktop in the bathroom. Some of the adjacent pool area was dangerously slippery with wet feet, breakfast awful, coffee awful. No nearby western menu restaurants.

- Helmut (10/5): Great views from the balcony - The hotel is located directly at the Mekong River. With great views from the balcony. Also a nice garden with pool. Breakfast was good. Directly in front of the hotel starts a paved walking path, where you can walk endless along the river No chairs or tables on the balcony. Wifi was a bit instable.

An overnight stay before crossing to Laos and on to Vietnam. A very large room with a big balcony and a panoramic view over the Friendship Bridge and the Mekong River. Good size pool. Friendly staff, who organised an early morning taxi to the bus station and made us up a generous packed breakfast as we were leaving at 5:30 am.

The room were spacious, comfortable, the sunrises on the Mekong were fabulous.good breakfast..You can walk all along the riverside directly from the hotel yard. I recommend this place for anyone who want to spend a quiet peaceful stay. Its a bit away from the bus terminal, however its worth it to stay so close to the Mekong.

Ontbijt was a la card als er weinig gasten zijn, en in buffetvorm bij voldoende deelnemers. Vast kluisje. Loopafstand naar markt en enkele restaurants. Douche functioneerde niet bij aankomst. Na reparatie telkens onregelmatig warm water. Tweepersoonskamer heeft slechts aan een zijde bedtafeltje met lamp. Dat was standaard vertelde de receptioniste. De kamer biedt waterkoker maar voor een stopcontact moet je naar badkamer ( snoer te kort ). Erg oubollige , nep-Franse inrichting.

- Holger (8/5): Solides Hotel der gehoben Kategorie am Fluss - Das Hotel ist gepflegt und der Inhaber scheint eine Vorliebe für Frankreich sowie einen etwas pompösen Einrichtungsstil zu haben. Das Zimmer und auch das Bad waren geräumig. das Bett sehr bequem, die Klimaanlage prima und der (etwas ungepflegte) Balkon mit Blick auf den Mekong wirklich schön. Parken ist problemlos möglich und ein Transportmittel erforderlich, auch wenn über den Fußweg entlang des Flusses ein paar Restaurants in wenigen Minuten erreichbar sind. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und mit asiatischem und westlichem Angebot völlig in Ordnung. Die Lage ist nicht wirklich "zentral" und der Abfluss im Waschbecken war ziemlich laut. Heißes Wasser in der Dusche - auch in Thailand kann es kühl werden - war erst nach etwas Zeit und dann nicht lange verfügbar. Alles, aber das ist Geschmackssache, könnte etwas moderner und weniger plüschig sein. Man sieht dem Hotel sein Alter an einigen Stellen etwas an, obwohl man sich Mühe zu geben scheint, alles zu pflegen.

- Kurt (10/5): - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I will not comment about the rather terrible style and decorations of the hotel 😜 but otherwise everything was really perfect, friendly and helpful staff, large rooms with a fantastic view over the mighty Mekong river, and breakfast with a great choice! Nice infinity pool if you care for a swim and in easy walking distance of the Indo-China market.

- Sisouthonh (Tony) (9/5): A great sunrise view stayed! - Clean, breakfast was great, awesome view of the sunrise and across the Mekong River to Laos! Nice bathtub to soak in after a long run along the Mekong River walking path. Nice courtyard lounge to hangout. The coffee and the orange juice! Coffee tastes old and the orange juice is not fresh squeezed! Low water pressure when taking a shower and took along one to fill the bathtub.

- Dirk (9/5): - Hotel ist sehr schön direkt am Mekong gelegen. Man gelangt direkt vom Hotel auf die Uferpromenade. Parkplätze stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Das Zimmer und auch das Bad ist sehr angenehm groß mit einem sehr guten und auch grossen Bett. Schöner Aussenpool ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Gutes Frühstück wird angeboten, ist im Preis inklusive. Wir wollten eigentlich im Hotelrestaurant essen. Als wir um 19:00h dort ankamen, war es allerdings dunkel. Auf unsere Nachfrage an der Rezeption sagte man uns, das dies kein Problem wäre, man würde es für uns öffnen. Wir wären dann wohl die einzigen Gäste gewesen. Deshalb verzichteten wir darauf und suchten uns etwas außerhalb. Zum Frühstück hätten wir uns noch über etwas Süßes (Kaffeestückchen, Croissant etc.) gefreut.

Es bietet einen Pool, der auch für Kinder geeignet ist sowie geräumige und saubere Zimmer mit zweckmäßiger Ausstattung. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.

- Ina (8/5): Solides Hotel mit toller Lage - Das Hotel liegt direkt am Mekong, also eine super Lage. Die Größe der Zimmer ist gut. Insgesamt ist es hinsichtlich der Ausstattung etwas veraltet, eher englischer Stil. Für eine Nacht war es aber ok. Leider keine Möbel auf dem Balkon. Zudem ist es hellhörig (Türen der Nachbarzimmer, Geräusche aus darüber liegendem Zimmer) Zudem hat ein Hahn ab Mitternacht ständig gekräht.

De pouvoir l’apprécier à toutes heures est un privilège car l’hôtel est vraiment " en première ligne", juste à côté du fleuve, j’étais déjà allé dans des hôtels un peu éloigné, ça n’a pas la mêle saveur...la vue d’ ici est exceptionnelle... Fort de cette " rente de situation", pas beaucoup d’enthousiasme pour le client, la douche est " ecossaise" avec un réglage chaud/froid impossible, un débit bien légé, impossibilité de fermer la porte d’entrée sans la claquer, pas une petite chaise en plastique sur le balcon pour admirer la vue.... Vous venez voir le Mékong, le reste, vous vous en accomodez!

- chris (8/5): Great stay. I’ve put a mug in my suitcase for next time! - Super hotel located quite far outside the main town. A long wait for a tuk tuk but we had a car so no problem. I think the view is the best of all hotels by the river. Very rural and the mountains across the water were stunning. Room was very comfortable and well laid out - and the bathroom spacious. Everything worked. The chez longe next to the picture window was a nice design touch. The balcony very small but actually perfect as with the glass door open the air con cooled down the balcony too. Pool on roof is stunning as usual the view from it. Can’t fault the hotel if you have transport. Breakfast was delicious. A small thing and a gripe I have with many hotels - please please put mugs in the room and not tiny cups. One gulp of tea or coffee and the cup is empty.

- David (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. We stayed 3 nights in corner premium room. Fantastic room with wonderful view overlooking the Mekong River and Laos. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent for Thais but also for farang (westerner) like me. Easy walk along paved river footpath to big street markets. The hotel has good off street parking. Would stay again.

Staff very helpful and kind. Overall not bad but I wouldn't stay here again - swimming pool freezing and misses the sun. A little trip back to the 1990s is what it felt like.

I booked two rooms, the one for my wife and I had an ac problem, after the second night with little sleep we were moved to a smaller room on the top floor which was noisy and the shower was very poor. There was nothing else available so we just had to live with it. The second room was for relatives who were joining us, they also had to be moved as the tv did not work in their first room. Luckily we were able to use the shower in their room (3 floors below) until they left.

- Konstantinos (10/5): Timeless charm by the Mekong - Timeless charm. Look beyond the decor which may appeal to a different style or taste but the place, the spaces, the staff, the breakfast, the views, all were spectacular. The pool was particularly impressive, an infinity pool at the river's edge! I always want a bigger GYM or a collaboration with a local gym. Still, Mukdahan has a couple that are cheap and great so it is solved but a collaboration would show the hotel cares about that.
