• Nicole (9/5): Wunderschönes Lissaabon! Wir würden auch diese Wohnung wieder buchen. - Nach einer langen Anreise haben uns Rotwein und Käse begrüßt. Vielen Dank dafür an unseren freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, der zu jeder Zeit für uns erreichbar war. Die Lage ist absolut unschlagbar! Mitten im Bairro Alto gibt es unzählige Möglichkeiten vorzügliche Restaurants zu besuchen. Im Tanoa hatten wir z.B. leckeres Frühstück. Absolut zu empfehlen ist Karater Georgian Bistro - das war unser geschmackliches Highligt! Unbedingt dort vorher einen Tisch reservieren. Die Wohnung selbst verfügt über bequeme Betten und ausreichend Platz für uns 3 Personen (Mama mit 2 End-Teenagern). Tatsächlich ist es nachts durch die unmittelbare Nähe zur Partymeile in der Querstraße hinter dem Haus sehr sehr laut und Betrunkene singen und gröhlen bis spät in die Nacht. Das muss man wissen, Das haben wir aber in Kauf genommen und bei geschlossenen Fenstern war es für uns gut zu ertragen. Wir waren in der Osterwoche dort und durften von unseren kleinen Balkonen aus die Prozession beobachten, die unter unseren Fenstern durch die Altstadt zog. Das war sehr beeindruckend und schön. Lissabon haben wir als sehr entspannend und erdend empfunden. Lissabon tut gut, ist freundlich, verrückt, kreativ, modern, authentisch und sehr herzlich. Wir kommen wieder! Das gesamte Treppenhaus ist abenteuerlich steil. Das muss wohl in den alten Häusern so sein. Da ich das schon vorher gelesen hatte, habe ich mich dieses Mal statt für meinen großen Koffer für meine Rucksacktasche entschieden, ansonsten wäre ich diese Stiege nocht hochgekommen ;-) Abzocke: Der kleine Supermakrt L.d.A. neben The Old Pharmacy in der Tv. do Poco da Cidade hat keine Preise an den Getränken (er hätte sie eben erst eingeräumt...). Auf mehrmaliges Nachfragen gab er keine adäquate Antwort. So gelingt es ihm tatsächlich für 2 Flaschen Wein 20 Euro zu kassieren. Meine Recherche ergab, dass ich an anderen Orten wesentlich weniger bezahlt hätte. Was soll ich sagen, es war spät, wir hatten Durst ;-) Augen auf beim Kartenkauf! Vergleicht die Preise der Postkarten und des Portos. Manche Läden in der Oberstadt verkaufen Karten für 1€/Stück und Briefmarken einer bestimmten Firma für 2€. Das geht wesentlich günstiger, wenn die Postkarten "unten" gekauft werden und "normale" Briefmarken verlangt werden. So zahlst du für deine Urlaubspost nur 40€ statt 80€ und könntest dir noch 4 Flaschen von dem "teuren" Wein um die Ecke gönnen...

Tuvieron el detalle de dejarnos un regalo de bienvenida que se agradece mucho. Si tengo que decir algo a mejorar sería poner algún espejo aparte del que hay en el baño, si es de cuerpo entero mejor. Íbamos un grupo y al solo tener un baño la logística por la mañana se nos hacía algo lenta. Con un espejo fuera puedes maquillarte o secarte el pelo mientras otro usa la ducha.

• Janoosha (9/5): Great hosts and convenient location - The apartment was very clean and it was very helpful to have laundry and the kitchen. The location was also great, a lot of places were within walking distance but the elevation can be hard. The hosts were very responsive and allowed us to check out later, they even left free cheese for us! Like other reviews mentioned, there is a party street right behind the building and it can get loud at night on the weekends. The bathroom was also pretty tiny, the shower was narrow and hard to move around but was still fine. Our room was on the third floor which was harder for my older parents to go up down the steep steps every day.

Embora não esteja nas mãos do proprietário o conseguir melhorar a situação, deixo o que não gostei apenas para informar os futuros hóspedes do que poderão encontrar: barulho de jovens em bares, na rua até às três da madrugada e limpeza da via bem cedo pela manhã; subida de três andares íngreme, o que colocará entraves a famílias com idosos ou crianças pequenas, que necessitam de carrinho.
• Sara (8/5): 8/10 - El apartamento es genial, cumple con todas las expectativas. Es pequeño, pero con todo lo necesario para alojarte. Es cómodo y acogedor. Estaba muy limpio y la ubicación muy bien para llegar hasta el centro andando. El anfitrión muy atento en todo momento. En general me gustó mucho. No se si por haber coincidido en fin de semana, pero al estar ubicado cerca del centro, la calle era muy ruidosa, mucha gente, música y ruido de los garitos, lo que hacen que no puedas dormir bien durante la noche. Recomiendo llevar tapones para los oídos.

• Ellexis (8/5): A comfortable and well-located stay with friendly hosts! - This stay was very good—clean and comfortable with a lovely neighbourhood feel and easy access to local attractions. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and the space had all the essentials. A few minor quirks (such as slightly dated furnishings and small apartment layout with lots of stairs) kept it from being flawless, but they didn’t substantially detract from the overall experience. I’d recommend it and would stay again.

• Jean Louis (4/5): Déçu - Rien à dire de l’appartement Déçu qui concerne l’accès à cet appartement.1er parking impossible et loin de l’heregment et donc qui n’est pas à l’intérieur encore moins pour personne avec invalidité, escalier très difficile et étroit. Concernant les alentours beaucoup de bruit, nous pouvons dire quartier très animé. Concernant le règlement à aucun moment j’ai eu les informations de l’enregistrement des personnes qui étaient présentes ni de la caution. Ceci devrait se faire quand j’ai commandé le logement, les raisons sont simples de très gros problème de connexion c’est bien la première fois que ce problème est constaté, pourtant j’ai souvent loué sans tous ces problèmes il nous a fallu attendre jusqu’à 18h pour enfin pouvoir avoir notre logement J’ajoute la personne qui finalement c’est occupé de nous je la remercie pour son travail

• Lone (8/5): A great week at Bairro Sweet Home - Its really nice and cozy. Our apartment was on the top floor with a sunny balcony. The service was fantastic even sunday evening. The old building has its quirks, but that is part of the charm. The neighborhood was quite noisy and the building didnt have great sound insulation, so it was hard to sleep soundly some nights.

Great location and a balcony, the hospitality from the team was superb! For example we couldn’t find a frying pan and I let them know, within 10 minutes they had dropped a brand new one at the door. A tad squishy at some points other than that twas all good

• Levam (4/5): Suitable for young people - The host was always available for any problem. Always asked if everything was okay. The location was close to everything and it was easy to walk. We slept on the third floor, it was difficult to go up with all the luggage. Quite dangerous stairs. It was very noisy to sleep in the apartment from the clubs below.
• Katherina (6/5): It worked for us for our short stay - The apartment was a good size for our family of three. The bathroom was tight but worked for us. We had no issues with the property. We had to take the stairs, which is not ideal after a day of full walking, but we knew this. Even though the location was ideal, close to everything, it was way louder than I thought. We started during the week in low season, and it was very loud from the neighbouring bars and restaurants, well until 2-2:30 am, so I can’t imagine sleeping there in the busy season.
• Malik (1/5): When I entered one statue and a table was cracked and door of bed room also out of order so immediately I filmed the roo - Didn’t like anything non cooperative management of the guest house . I have just spoken to my cousion Zunaira & Rabia in Germany who paid for me rent & security deposit, deposit spouse to be refund on the same day when we checked out on 10 th of April 2025 , however till now today it’s more than 10 days. As per my cousins Rabia & Zunaira statements they didn’t get back their deposit yet and they remind them again today 22 April 2025 through what’s app group. Guest house managment again stated today that deposit money has been sent back to my cousion bank account but nothing received yet into my cousin’s account .

• Petya (10/5): Lovely place - Property is in the heart of the old town. Very close to main metro station and the famous trams. Beds were comfortable. There was everything you need when travelling for leisure. It was very well cleaned up and we appreciated that there were facilities for us to maintain cleanliness during our stay. We had complimentary coffee, milk, and nice local wine and cheese. Host is very easy to communicate with, shared their recommendations for places to visit for sightseeing and tasting local food. Overall, we would definitely stay at this place again should we have the opportunity to visit Lisbon again.

Slept at 3B, when it rained the ceiling at a leak that went straight to the bed. However the staff was very communicative and helped check on the situation and fix it immediately.

• Austria (10/5): Exceptional - Modern apartment, equipped with the basics, very comfortable. Good location, you can walk to the Praça do Comércio. The hosts very thoughtful and helpful, they explain you with all details how to do the check in and recommend restaurants and activities.
• Fabiana (4/5): price vs reality: a disappointment - The flat was clean and in a central position to clubs and restaurants, so if you're travelling for parties, it is in a good position. It is also close to Rossio station, but there are stairs to arrive. They also let us a welcome kit with some good cheese and wine! I rarely write negative reviews, but I would have liked more clarity about the conditions of the apartment. I have been in several accomodations in Portugal and I have never been as disappointed. We arrived with few luggages and a kid and the stairs to reach the flat were very steep. Once we entered, we realised that the pictures that we saw on booking did not correspond to the flat. The pictures are a collection of few apartments, which is not correct to do if not specifically mentioned. We rented a flat for 6 adults and a kid, and when we arrived we realised that the space was not enough. The two rooms present in the flat could fit two people each, but were separated with an old door. Every morning, I could check if my parents were awake just by looking through the space that separated the door and the wall. The sofa bed was immediately in front of my room and I had to pass horizontally between the TV and the sofa to go out of the room and reach the bathroom (and I am really tiny). The flat was also supposed to have a terrace, which was in the pictures and for sure some flats in the building had, but there was no trace of it. Furthermore, the kitchen was supposed to be for six people, but I wonder how six people and a kid could eat if only a bench and two chairs were provided. The flat was clearly meant for four people. My sister and her kid had to move to another flat, which was better renovated, had space for the kid to move, and included breakfast for a slightly higher price, so it is possible to find accommodation in the area with a better quality-price ratio. So in conclusion, the apartment is okay if you are a group of friends just looking for parties, but it is definitely not good for a family. The space is not enough, the apartment is old (which is not that visible from the pictures), and you can listen to all the things that your neighbours do, because the floors are not that good either.
• Bryce (8/5): - If you want to be a part of the (loud) nightlife, then this may be the place for you. As we were traveling with young children, this was not good for us. Even on the third floor (up all of those stairs with our luggage...), it was very loud, usually until at least 4am. Not the owner's fault, but something guests should know. While the breaker panel also regularly tripped if you were cooking with the A/C on (needed in an attic in August), the apartment was otherwise fine.

There were a lot of bars and people drinking in front of and on the street behind the apartment. The noise from 10 pm to 2am is very loud with the windows shut. On Friday and Saturday it was even worse. Wished we were warned.
• Molly (9/5): Nice home in Lisbon - The space was nice and clean and perfect for our group. Located very central, good for restaurants and bars. It was a little small and you could hear the noise from the streets and neighboring apartments. Not too bad if you were in the back bedroom.

Living room a tad small and we all kept bumping our heads on corner of cabinet that stuck out which held the water tank as it is directly above the sink. They left wine and cheese for us which was a really nice touch Door was a little hard to open but once you figure it out it’s easier the next time. Bustling and a little noisy at night. - The apartment was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean with a nice bathroom and shower, washing machine, big tv, comfy beds and storage and hanging space for clothing. Walk up the narrow steep stairway was a little tough with my suitcase. Very good Korean restaurant across the street turned into a bar at night. People standing in the street drinking and talking until about 2am. Unfortunately I'm a light sleeper and this was a little tough. Hosts were amazing and very helpful. We had a nice bottle of wine, cheese and snacks waiting for us. Location was great and very convenient to everything. The late night noise was tough! Entry stairs a little tough to navigate with suitcase.

Great instructions and information from host. Highly recommend. Minor cons: the apartment we had was on 4th floor (so 3 flights of stairs). A bit difficult w luggage and stairs. There are also several bars nearby, and we could hear noise from bars at night. Noise wasn’t unbearable though, and we were able to sleep through it.

• John (4/5): Not worth recommending. - Clean Hard to communicate. Everything was through email. My family was hoping to at least just be able to leave luggage early before check in around noon-1pm. I also Understand if it’s not possible. Anyway, Called the number when we got there from the airport around 1pm. but the guy who answered wasn’t helpful. Just said if you didn’t get a message it’s not yet available. Kinda rude and dismissive sounded arrogant. The lady on the other side of the email was okay. We finally where able to get in around 3:45 pm and what do you know? The unit has been ready and available the whole time we were there, made us stay under the beating sun for 2 hours. They probably didn’t want to let us in/ have the early check in. It is their prerogative. Bad experience overall I would say. Most if not all booking.com places are quite nice and accommodating to build repeat businesses. Air b&b places are helpful also. This particular apartment and guy does not seem to care for customers and repeat business. Overall? This place is not worth recommending and repeat business.

The apartment was clean, it had a lot of equipment we used, so it was a pleasant time for us (air dryer, washing machine, microwave, air conditioning....), we had little treat for us in the fridge as a welcoming gift. We had cutlery, bowls, plates, detergents, shower gel, towels, dishwashing needs, clothes dryer. We had some small shops near us, so when we wanted to make ourselves breakfast, we had fresh bread, etc. We paid deposit, which was sent back and the accommodation provider was generally really nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this accommodation. (5 people) Soft beds. (for some, it is a + for others - ) A lot of student parties. We didn't mind at all. Also the place is in a bit uphill area, so expect walking up for a bit. In rooms, there was little room to spread our suitcases comfortably. There could be also more racks to hang clothes on (like coat-racks), because there was small space to have our clothes dryer spread out and walk in between rooms at the same time (but the clothes dryer was a saver for us). The toilet seat didn't have the board with which you can "seal" the toilet. We needed to buy more toilet paper (maybe it was our bad that we didn't ask for more the accommodation provider). When we went to the apartment building, there was a metal mail box opened behind the front door to the building, so we almost scratched ourselves going steep stairs (it was broken, couldn't be closed properly). Soft beds. (for some, it is a + for others - ). Also the place is in a bit uphill area, so expect walking up for a bit.
• Leslie (9/5): Great place managed well - Two bedrooms, walkable location, everything we needed, wine, cheese, and toast was a nice surprise when we got there. Easy to access. Hosts were incredible. Very responsive. Shared a map of things to do, restaurants, and pharmacies in the area. Made sure we could check in early. Neighbors were not loud and nice. Loud at night because in the bar district. AC did not keep it as cool as we are used to at home (Texas). If we opened the windows at night it was too loud to sleep. No coffee pods for the coffee maker.
