• K7269CKrogerm (10/5): Excellent hotel with a nice view - Hotel was easy to find and they provided us with several parking options. We chose a covered parking with a per day rate. The hotel check in process was simple and our room was very clean and had an outstanding view of the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast provided each morning included American style scrambled eggs and bacon. When we first entered our room there was no toilet paper in the room but the reception staff provided us with rolls. The room was very well maintained and the maid service was good. Very nice hotel and we enjoyed our 2 nights there.

• Adam (7/5): Would recommend based on location & would recommend selecting the right room based on what’s important for you, e.g. - Location is exceptional for exploring with many shops, restaurants & sights right on the doorstep. The cinema room & theme downstairs is an interesting unexpected touch & the roof terrace in May (with no one else on it) was a perfect sun trap escape. Ensuite bathroom was a bit claustrophobic & the living room was a bit uncomfortable (sofa bed). Also the cleaning service seemed to vary in attention to detail across each day e.g. toilet paper not replaced, only one towel changed & Rubbish not always taken.

• Tamsin (9/5): Very comfortable stay in a unique property in the heart of beautiful Ortigia - Unique and beautiful, a large rambling property tucked away in the honey coloured narrow streets just a few metres from the seafront. Spacious and very comfortable suite and access to a lovely roof terrace we largely had to ourselves. Nice breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Nothing, but beware if coming from the UK as our usual EU adaptors didn’t work in our room.

Gorgeous spacious rooms all with private outdoor spaces, exceptionally clean and private, lovely breakfast with attentive and charming staff, a cinema on site, beautifully restored historic building perfectly located between Duomo & the loveliest part of Ortigia seaside & a hidden gem, the deserted and oh so elegant roof terrace. Every corner of the hotel is a delight. I’ve not slept so well on holiday for years!

Ziemlich hässliche eiserne Beistelltische neben dem Bett (rostig!). Preis-Leistung hat nicht gepasst.

• Veronika (10/5): Bad customer service in a hotel in the center of Ortigia. - The hotel is modern and comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style and had a big selection. The location is within the historic center and they have a car service that take your car and avoid the ZTL zone for $25 a night. We had reserved two rooms with double beds, but because my reservation said 2 people instead of 4, they demanded $40 per person suplemental for the towel and breakfast. So we ended paying 80 euros for 2 breakfasts and 2 towels. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. I don’t recommend the hotel.

Go for valet parking! - The best thing about this place is the valet service for your car. go for it ! walking distance to all restaurants and historic spots of Ortigia. and great terrace with beds to watch the stars. it was a small duplex, so we left the suitcases upstards in the mini kitchen, and slept downstairs. a bit small, but manageable.

• Michelle (10/5): Happy we stayed here - Our apartment was spacious, clean and had a small balcony overlooking the historic, narrow pedestrian street. We appreciated the washing machine and kitchenette. Breakfast was good too!

• Martha (10/5): Amazing location and price - We were a group of 11 and all loved this place. It is in a great location, the rooms are large abs comfortable. The elevator was essential for us and it worked perfectly, we were able to get it on the ground floor. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We took advantage of the valet parking, the property registered our plates so that we could enter the ZTL zone. Nothing, we loves everything about it.

• Gina (8/5): Great place to stay in Ortigia if you are mobile. - The property itself was very nice. It’s a large hotel with many different sections. The ac worked great. There was a nice balcony on the 2nd floor for all the occupants use that was delightful. Although, they don’t want you to put up the umbrellas because of the wind, and it is quite sunny up there. The breakfast was included and was a typical hotel breakfast, scrambled eggs, bread, pastries and fruit. There is an elevator in the building as it’s been renovated, so access to the rooms is nice. The staff were nice and someone is at the reception desk from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. We liked the location as everything seemed to be no more than a 15 to 20 minute walk. The room was clean but felt somewhat barren. The bathroom could use a shelf and a few more hooks for towels and things. The major down side to this hotel is the parking. It is in the old section so getting your luggage to the hotel is challenging and then you have to park the car in a parking garage and walk approx. 15 minutes uphill to the hotel. This is not unusual for hotels in the old city but it could be problematic for anyone with mobility issues. They charge 5 euros for a beach towel if you want to go swimming, there is a swimming platform close by.

• Terrence (6/5): Not worth the price - The location was great. Close to the sea and many shops and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The property is lacking in quality maintenance. The shower needs recaulking and the drain was so slow that we had to turn off the water mid-shower to let it drain or it would have overflowed onto the floor. The freezer needs defrosting. The building had no water for a few hours one evening. The breakfast was just mediocre. Terrible coffee. This hotel is listed in the Rick Steves guide and seems overpriced for the lack of quality. We would not recommend
• Dreamer44079450352 (8/5): Lovely place, communication could be improved - Lovely hotel in the centre of historical Siracusa. Location was very good, rooms were spacious and well equipped. If breakfast not included was very expensive to book separately at 25euros pp. We went the first week of October and was still 25 degrees and rooms were very hot. I couldn’t get air con to work and was told by receptionist that it had been turned off for winter .. although still 25 degrees, I asked if it could be turned back on and was told no, it was October and to open a window if I was hot! I would have opened a window but our room only had one window that opened onto a brick wall so no air was going to enter and also there were a lot of mosquitoes! I asked for a fan - no fans. 3 days passed and it became unbearable in the room so I queried again at reception….only to be told that actually the air con had been turned back on 2 days ago but no one had the decency to inform us despite querying and seeing the same receptionist every day ! So communication from the staff could be improved! Overall we enjoyed our stay as Siracusa is a beautiful location.
• Cheryl (8/5): - This was a nice hotel with an ample buffet breakfast. Our room was comfortable, but not well appointed. The location was good. We were able to walk everywhere. The parking is very inconvenient and when we left our car for a moment to bring our luggage into the hotel, we were given a 29 euro ticket. There is no help in moving your luggage. We thought it would have been nice to have someone from the hotel watch the car until we got our luggage situated. The receptionist shrugged her shoulder when we told her about the ticket. The evening receptionist showed some sympathy. We would not recommend the hotel if you are arriving by car.

• Christopher (10/5): - We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and we got this huge loft style apartment room which was super cool! They had left us some treats which was very nice :) The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the swimming access point which is amazing. They charge 5 euros per beach towel if you want to rent it, and have a mini fridge stacked (with extra charges) of drinks. The service was amazing! One feedback is the breakfast was repetitive, it would be cool to see some more options for hot foods (for example: sausages, omelettes, etc. Overall it was a great stay and the hotel is like an amazing maze its huge and exciting to explore!!

• Anthony (10/5): - This place is beautiful! It’s near everything and the breakfast was amazing. It was quiet and there’s a terrace that’s fun the hangout. Staff was also really nice Would definitely stay here again if I ever visited.
• Pauline (10/5): - We loved this hotel. It was in a great position for the public solarium and for a variety of restaurants and cafes. The service was very good from the reception to the cleaning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a sun lounger plus there was a great sun roof terrace with very comfortable seating . There is a lift to the top floors which not all hotels have in Sicily. The breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of foods.

• Rory (7/5): - The staff were very friendly. The property was centrally located in the old city. The breakfast was plentiful with scrambled eggs, cereals, pastries etc. Our room was not a 9 as indicated in other reviews. We had room #2 and it was very tired. The bedroom and bathroom were in the lower part of the unit and there were chunks of plaster missing in the stairwell. The shower insert was not clean around the floor. When we flushed the toilet either the sink or the shower drain would gurgle loudly.
• tina (10/5): - A lovely building with a great roof terrace to watch the sunset. Staff were really friendly and coordinated a valet pick up for our car on arrival which worked out great. Room spacious with good amenities. Lots of choices for breakfast. If we are ever fortunate to be in Ortigia again, wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

• Maria (8/5): A nice stay in a good location - This 'apartment' was located in an ideal area - within a 8-10 minute walk from the city center. No frills (which is totally ok with me) -- located on a pedestrian street so definitely no parking at hotel, however, parking garage located within a couple of blocks and $25 euro/day so they were able to accommodate us. Staff was helpful (recommended one of our favorite restaurants on this vacation!) and was clean!
• Sarah (10/5): Absolutely magical - Beautiful setting—perfect combination of preserving original architecture and providing modern comforts like strong AC and modern bathroom. Loved my stay in the sea view room. Was a great size, had everything I needed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Perfect balance of being able to rest but also right in the mix. Quiet at night. Will return.

• Camilla (10/5): Fantastisk boende i hjärtat av gamla stan - Jag vill dela med er en fantastisk upplevelse som jag har haft i Syrakusa. Om ni letar efter ett bra boende, kan jag lova att ni inte kommer att bli besvikna på detta ställe. Jag ger det 10 poäng på allt! "Underbart gammalt palats" - det är verkligen ett otroligt charmigt och vackert inrett boende. Något alldeles extra är att det finns en gammal biograf på platsen. Det bästa är att boendet har ett eget kök, vilket gör det ännu mer bekvämt. Rummen är otroligt fint inredda, och frukosten är supergod. Dessutom ligger boendet i hjärtat av gamla stan, vilket ger en fantastisk upplevelse och närhet till allt man kan önska sig. Jag hoppas att ni får möjlighet att uppleva detta underbara boende själva. • Spinnler (9/5): 👍👍👍👍👍 - Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in einem wunderschönen alten Viertel der Altstadt. Sehr schönes grosses Haus mit speziellem Charme aus alter jüdischer Zeit. Personal sehr freundlich, Zimmer gross und sauber. Frühstück reichlich. Alles in Allem zu empfehlen. Alles perfekt.

• Heini Kirsi Elisabet (8/5): - La posizione è ottima e la stanza era pulita. La colazione era buona e c'erano anche le uova e il bacon. Lo staff era preparato e professionale. Non c'è parcheggio sul posto e non è gratuito, una cosa che si poteva dire nella descrizione. Il parcheggio costa 15e al giorno ed è abbastanza lontano dalla stuttura (Praticamente tutti parcheggiano là).
