- Nadia (7/5): Lovely resort in the middle of the rainforest with a nasty manager!!! - The resort and pool are super beautiful in the middle of the rainforest! Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the manager. I booked the reef tour and before leaving I couldn’t find my cabin key. However I was sure the key was not fully lost because I only went to the kitchen and coffee shop. After the tour and when doing the check out, she was really rude and demanding 30$ for the lost key. I told her the key should be around in the resort and that a copy of the key should be far way less than 30$. She tried to humiliate and guilt tripping me saying that they had no more keys and now they had to go all the way to Cairns to make new keys. Of course she was lying and they had more keys. She screamed at me that I had 30min to find the keys. Eventually I managed to find the keys. I believe that after spending 600$ in 24hrs in that place, I don’t think it was fair to be asked for 30$ for the key not to be treated with no respect. And she has no communication skills or kindness/empathy!! The rest of the staff were wonderful!

- Buford (10/5): The staff and the coolest owners ever went up and beyond for me and my friend... Amazing place to stay, can’t wait to co - Staying at Safari Lodge in Cape Tribulation was an unforgettable experience. The location is incredible—right in the middle of the rainforest and just minutes from the beach. Waking up surrounded by nature and hearing the sounds of the jungle was something special.
The lodge itself was clean, comfortable, and had a really relaxed vibe. The pool area was perfect for cooling off after exploring, and the staff were friendly and welcoming the entire time. It felt like a great mix of adventure and comfort.
Cape Tribulation is such a unique place where the rainforest meets the reef, and Safari Lodge is the perfect base to explore it. If you’re looking for a laid-back stay immersed in nature, I’d definitely recommend it.
- Iwona (10/5): - Świetny domek z łóżkiem king size tuż przy dzungli.Świetny basen. Kuchnia ogólnodostępna świetnie wyposażona.
- Jessyca (7/5): - Clean room, comfy bed, good restaurant nearby Have to pay for the wifi, don't have AC in all the cabins (when we saw the pictures, we tought that we would have one but no, only a fan)
- Hannah (3/5): -
- Leanne (7/5): - Comfortable beds, good showers, lovely bathroom products, good sized cabin
Onsite cafe really good Open plan bathroom (no doors between toilet and cabin) was not expecting that
- Jens (9/5): -
- Mick (3/5): One time only - Location No bathrooms or aircon for a place that charges $200 a night😳
- Kerri (8/5): -
- Serge (9/5): - L’environnement
- Ulrike (10/5): Great Place!! - Clean, super comfy, friendliest staff, great location. I would stay again. Nothing
- Meagan (8/5): Comfortable cabin in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest - Nice little campground in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. Our cabin was cosy and comfortable and the camp kitchen was very well stocked. Appreciated the cafe on site and the snorkelling tours that leave right from the office. The water pressure in the cabin shower was pretty low and only gave hot water some of the time (probably expected in this off-grid location). The only other negative was the toilet area - it didn't have a door, which was quite awkward. Would be easy to install a sliding door or at least offer a privacy screen.
- Schoot Uiterkamp (8/5): Prima!
- Antonius (10/5): Prachtig! - Locatie, campkitchen Niets
- dubrulle (8/5): -
- Karina (10/5): Beautiful place - Very nice rooms and setting Nothing
- Michael (9/5): -
- Bruijnen (8/5): -
- Fernando (8/5): - Great location and amenities! I just didn’t like that the toilet was open. There was no door and you could see the legs of the person on the toilet
- N (8/5): -
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Nikki (10/5): - Clean. Beautiful setting. Pretty pool. Great camp kitchen.
- Jens-Peter (7/5): Zu teuer für die gebotene Leistung - Tolle Gegend. Schöner Pool. Saubere Lodge. Schlechter WLAN-Empfang.
- Kathleen (9/5): - Clean and exactly what we needed for our stay in Cape Trib
- Brad (5/5): very overpriced. - not a lot. everything
- Annette (10/5): Great location and facilities. Very quiet and peaceful stay :) -
- Mark (7/5): -
- Watkins (10/5): - Everything Having to leave.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Margaret (9/5): - Surroundings easy walks Internet didn't work but very isolated
- Rodney (7/5): Woul return - Location to the boardwalks Little bit noisey when people entering at night but to be expected
- Olga (9/5): Zu empfehlen, habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt - Sauber
Sehr gute Lage
Ruhig mit Regenwald Stimmung Keine Möglichkeit Kleider aufzuhängen.
- Polkinghorne (9/5): -
- Rosanna (8/5): Overall very happy with our stay - Beautiful surroundings and a lovely cabin It would have been good to provide at the very least, teabags and coffee bags and some milk.
- Suzanne (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - The cabin was great, loved having the ensuite and the mini fridge was a bonus. Facilities at the park were good. Loved the camp kitchen, which was kept clean and the pool was great for a swim on a hot day. The cafe at the front had great coffee.
- Olivia (9/5): - beautiful grounds
friendly staff
lovely lodges
- Heidi (8/5): -
- Helen (7/5): - No bench to put things on. No bedside table. All had to go on the floor
- Heidy (8/5): Lodge where the rainforest meets the sea. - The location and the cabin. Great restaurant cafe nearby, very good cafe and good selection of food. The kitchen could do with another cooking stove and more room to wash the dishes. Saves waiting. But a great atmosphere.
- YIFAT (8/5): -
- brown (9/5): We had a great stay. - The hut with ensuite was very comfortable.
- Grant (10/5): - Cleam, comfy and good vibes Nothing to note
- Laryssa (8/5): A must visit! The daintree/cape trib/local culture was epic, friendly and relaxed. - The Cafe food/menu was 10/10 but was only open until 3pm each day so limited hours. Great location and super close to a few nearby attractions, very handy to use as a base to get around cape tribulation. Nice pool area, shared kitchen etc and contentment :) Cafe open from 5-7pm would be great, instead we ended up at nearby restaurants for dinner (which wasnt too bad).
- Owal (6/5): - Very rustic property, eco ethos was very evident with signs everywhere about water conservation. Enjoyed my stay, booked onto a snorkelling tour that the lodge also offers which was incredible. My only disappointment was the lodge not having a hairdryer that I could borrow following the snorkelling, maybe something to consider.
- Tonia (7/5): - Well located in Cape Tribulation with restaurants, cafes and natural landmarks close by. Self-contained cabin was comfortable. Water ran out the second day, advised staff who fixed the issue immediately but water pressure and temperature took a while to improve.
- Julia (10/5): Great stay in the middle of the rainforest! - Very clean and comfortable cabin in the middle of the rainforest. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant was good too. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Tammy (7/5): Beautiful location & safari tours centre - Stacy who checked us in was incredibly welcoming and enriched our vacation with amazing activities. The cabin itself was nice, but quite small.
Fabulous location. Our cabin located away from the central car park, so accessibility wasn’t ideal especially due to the size of the room which couldn’t accommodate comfortably big suitcases and some other travel gear (which left in the car).
- Simon (9/5): Surpassed our high expectations. - Everything! Was the perfect rainforest accommodation. Bed was very comfy, modern bathroom, small fridge, own cabin with plenty of room. Close to beach and breakfast was excellent. Loved it. Can’t think of anything.
- joanne (10/5): - Location was so beautiful so close to nature gorgeous beach. Due to rural area only a few options for food but still good one walkable couple very short drive. We did one night cooking on the campsite bbqs which was lovely. Lots of options for tours too.
- Mark (6/5): OK - Location Small cabin for a couple and shared facilities wasn’t clear when booking
- Simona (10/5): -
- Elinor (10/5): Great place to stay in Cape Tribulation - We were in two of the cabins. They were clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. They were in a great location too, as was the whole property - in the centre of everything and right near the beach. The staff were really lovely and friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault them. We didn’t use any of the camping facilities but they looked good. As did the pool. The breakfast/lunch place next to reception was brilliant. Really great food and good, fast service. Nothing.
- Adrian (8/5): -
- Niklas (9/5): -
Magnifique plage. Dommage qu'il soit difficile de dîner. Prévoir ses courses pour le soir
- Lyn (8/5): - Lovely location in the rainforest. Stayed in a cabin, quite expensive $185 for cabin in a campground without bathroom. Very clean, nice pool. Woman running the place is a bit power obsessed. Witnessed her purposely being difficult and abrasive to people, those i saw didn't pull her up on it so she continues.
- Bridget (10/5): Nice location and room. - Travelled here with a friend and her daughter. Great they had a triple room. We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable and clean. Would stay again.
- Antonio (8/5): -
- Jolanta (10/5): To jest najwspanialsze miejsce w Daintree - Lokalizacja w dżungli, serdeczny personel, wspaniała wycieczka snorkeling, pyszne jedzenie w kafejce Nic
- Stephen (7/5): A good place to stay for a few days exploring Cape Trib. - A nice location surrounded by the rainforest. The lodge was a good size, with a veranda overlooking the edge of the forest and the shared kitchen facilities were sufficient to make a simple meal but there were also a couple of places nearby to eat, however they did stop serving relatively early. Our lodge was en-suite but the toilet didn’t have a door/curtain to close when in use. When using the toilet you could see straight out onto the veranda / site road so careful coordination with partner was needed as we don’t particularly enjoy sharing that much!!
- Pauline (8/5): Great location and really comfortable cabins - Great location - just across from the beach with a lovely pool. As our cabin was tucked into the trees we regularly had things landing of the roof with loud thuds!
- Hui San (6/5): - Standard accommodation - for reference we stayed in the room with shared bathroom (as the ensuites had booked out)
Pros: safari lodge provided towels, shampoo and soap
Cons: the cabins were close to one another. Cigarette smell went into our cabin as the occupiers in the cabin next to us were smoking in their verandah.
There’s limited sound proofing. We could hear people walking past our cabin in the morning and someone in the cabin next to us coughing at 3am. Obviously can’t be helped but just sound proofing would’ve been ideal.
The bin in the women’s shared bathroom was filled to the brim and chunks of hair in the showers.

They have really good cafe there that’s open breaky and lunch some yummy options and close by are plenty of options for dinner we tried a couple up the road and where really good We had to leave

Great location to bases yourself at Cape Tribulation.
This effectively is the end of the 2 wheel drive road. Our King hut was comfortable had a bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. In a semi private area the porch with outside chairs and table was a nice spot to relax. The shared facilities at the camp were great, good bathrooms, a large kitchen, refrigeration and coin operated washing machines. The on site Cafe offers breakfast and lunch. The camp has a swimming pool and is where the Great Barrier Reef Ocean Safari leaves from. The staff were friendly and helpful.
