Bei grosser Anzahl von Gästen (v.a. beim Frühstück) wirkt das Personal überfordert, das Buffet wird nicht zeitgerecht aufgefüllt. Restaurantpreise sind recht teuer.

• François (8/5): Étape agréable à 5 minutes de Sarlat - Nous connaissons cet hôtel depuis plusieurs années et nous y séjournons régulièrement pour une étape reposante et gourmande entre Paris et Barcelone. Environnement de l’hôtel très agréable avec une belle vue et une piscine à 5 minutes en voiture du centre de Sarlat, personnel attentionné, très bon restaurant et parking à l’hôtel. Chambre simple mais confortable.Bon rapport qualité / prix Transformer la baignoire de la chambre en douche

• rosalba (5/5): Malgré un bel emplacement et une piscine agréable, la prévenance envers les clients est défaillante. - A notre arrivée fin d'après midi suite à une réservation de dernière minute pour 3 nuits, nous avons demandé s'il était possible de diner le soir au restaurant. Réponse par l'affirmative en précisant que le menu périgourdin était le seul choix alors que le restaurant le soir venu proposait la carte aux clients, ce qui nous été refusé. Je pense que ce procédé n'est pas digne d'un établissement. L'accueil à notre arrivée à l'hôtel n'a par ailleurs par été des plus chaleureux, ni dans les réflexes sur les 3 jours pour répondre simplement aux bonjours des clients...En terme d'équipement, la douche a vraiment quelques années et mériterait sans conteste une vrai réfection (carrelage, joint, cabine : pour sortir marche 20 à 30 cm limite accidentogène).

• paul (8/5): A nice stay great location to explore in a vehicle. - Pleasant surroundings, nice swimming pool, attentive staff always willing to help. Good breakfast. Although the property isn’t far from the centre of Sarlat, (2km), to walk the routes to the from the town the roads are not lit with any street lighting and no pavements. On the second night we decided to drive into the town where there are plenty of parking options.

• Andrew (4/5): - I'll give it 2 stars overall. There are some positives and some downsides. Negatives - we paid extra for a 'premium room', but it was quite small, it didn't have a view of the valley (despite the room description) and it smelt terrible - it wasn't the toilet, which was a separate room, but the smell of drains came from the bathroom. There is a suggestion that you can walk into Sarlat town, but you really can't. I was willing to walk 1-2 miles, but it is further than that and VERY steep, so don't even think about it! The room was on the ground floor and had a small garden, though it wasn't private. Positives - The terrace area is lovely and has a great view for breakfast (which is quite reasonable). This is what saved it for us. We had one evening meal there and it was very nice, but the menu is quite restricted / specialist and we had to eat out the other 3 nights we stayed there. I think somebody fancies himself as a Michelin chef. The outside area was very nice - the pool area was very relaxing.

• Laura (10/5): Très belle hôtel de charme - L'hôtel est plein de charme. Il est situé dans un endroit calme, au milieu de la nature mais à seulement 2 km de la vieille ville de Sarlat. La chambre est très agréable, suffisamment spacieuse et avec plusieurs rangements. La propreté est irréprochable. Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse pour un moment de détente proche de toutes les commodités !

• Sterling (10/5): Stay here for a peaceful luxury stay a short drive to Sarlat the Dordogne Valley and early cave art. - Everything was exceptional. The rooms are large with modern shower bathroom. The bedroom opens to a private patio with a territorial view overlooking the lovely town of Sarlat. There's a pool and a veranda by the dinning room for outdoor seating. Sign up for the half board which offers breakfast and a delicious three course dinner. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We english speakers were baffled by the french language dinner offering the first night. The rest of our stay the waiters translated the menu each night into english. Greatly appreciated. Absolutely nothing.

• Helen (8/5): Excellent stopover on our way to Paris - The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast had many choices. The location was ideal for visiting Sarlat and is beautifully situated on the side of the valley. We enjoyed a drink on terrace in the evening and also breakfast there the following morning. There was nothing we didn’t like!

• Judith (9/5): A hotel with a view - After a long drive from the Loire Valley we arrived in Salart, the most beautiful Medieval town in the Dordogne Valley. Check in was a couple of hours away at 4pm, we parked the car and explored the place. I chose Le Meysset for it's location, the hotel is a couple of kms from the centre of town, situated on a hill with a swimming pool. After check in we sat by the pool until 7.30pm overlooking the a valley. Our room was clean and well appointed with a little private garden area in front of our door The second night we booked for dinner, the food and service was outstanding. Breakfast was a buffet and we sat out on the terrace. Highly recommend this family run hotel. Only one criticism, one needs to step into a deep Bath tub to take a shower.
