• Harvey (9/5): Great location. Great host. Would definitely stay again. Will certainly recommend - Breakfast was as expected, a selection of cereals and fresh fruit etc. Very comfortable bed Location was great. Pity we couldn’t have enjoyed it more as we arrived much later than expected and had to leave early next day.

• Kelly (10/5): Kapiti Waves - I'll be bach - My partner and I have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. It's always clean, warm and literally a stones throw away from the beach. We'll be back. Zero complaints.

Breakfast and treats were very generous and such a lovely surprise. The extra touches such as flowers on the towels, bubble bath and soaking salts was so luxurious. Elsie's artwork and sculptures were amazing. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

• Kathryn (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, immaculate room with fantastic view of the sea and wonderful hosts - What a fantastic property with a view of the sea straight outside the door. A wonderful beach with miles to explore. The property had everything you would need and more, very attentive hosts Exceptional value for money and I am sure we will return to enjoy another tranquil stay here again
• Penny (10/5): Pukerua Paradise - I particularly liked the personal touches that the hostess laid out for our stay from the continental breakfast basket, amazing. The flower bouquets placed on the folded bath towels, lovely. The complimentary bottle of bubbly, wonderful. The surprises far exceeded our expectations... We loved everything about our stay.

The water must have been the best in the country - my hair after washing looked amazing and styled so easily. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay again. The bed was a little high for me to get in to - at 5 foot 2. Comfy though.

Easy drive to Convention Centre in Porirua. Got quite wet with rain water dripping through the deck above the ranch slider door to my car out front. (It was Winter).

• Shelley (10/5): Deluxe retreat on Pukerua Bay - Loved this gorgeous retreat! Beautiful room, bathroom and kitchenette. Beautiful garden entrance, beautiful view of Pukerua Bay shoreline over to Kapiti Island. Awesome local path along shoreline to point with views of crashing waves on rugged shore, even a cathedral cove. Stunning landscape looking out from deluxe retreat! I loved everything!
• Donna (10/5): Beautiful views and great outdoor dining! - It was a great little set up directly opposite the seas, so one could have a peaceful time looking over to Kapiti Island from the bed! Elsie was very welcoming and generous with her additional little treats. Just down the road live little penguins but we weren't patient enough to wait and watch.

• Tia (10/5): Elsie knew it was our anniversary and left us a lovely note on our bed that just made our stay that much better. - The room was immaculate. Had everything you need for an overnight stay or longer. The view was gorgeous. Bed was very comfortable. The small touches made it extra special. Fresh flowers displayed on our towels. Candles around the bath. Complimentary Sherry & also other beverages available if you wanted to indulge. The art was also a lovely added bonus.
• Elizabeth (8/5): Room with a great view! - The view of the ocean is amazing and the room has everything you need for a comfy stay. Bath is lovely! Hosts very friendly. It would be nice to have some bread for breakfast maybe although plenty of bits were provided.

• Matthew (10/5): Idyllic spot on the beach - Very comfortable self contained studio right on the beach. Lovely views of the water. Large, well fitted bathroom. Fantastic array of breakfast treats. The perfect place for a retreat or en route to somewhere. We stayed after a day on Kapiti Iskand Island and it was a great place to relax.

Room was warm and toasty. Great having a bath with all the added touches, candles, bath salts etc. So many extra touches from complimentary snacks and kitchenette.

The like extras that were provided were a treat, such as nibbles and coffee bags. The Sea spray was even washed off our car before we left in the morning. The bed was super comfy, and we adored the serenity and peaceful weekend we had. Can't rate the accommodation or hosts highly enough. Thank you so much. There was nothing not to like.

More than met our needs. Thank you. Road turnoff signage. We had trouble finding the accommodation as the road is not marked.
• Mel (10/5): Elsie provides everything you could think of. - Elsie provides everything you could think of. There's a big bath tub (plus bath salts!) and shower, the bathroom has underfloor heating. Hairdryer and plenty of towels. There's a fully equipped kitchenette, snacks and cereals, milk, fruit and yogurt. The bed, pillows are duvet are all comfortable and good quality. A desk to work at with WiFi and a big TV. The view is stunning, as directly on the beach front. I'd love to stay again. Thank you so much for being a great host too! The sunset and sunrise was stunning, perfect location!
• Renee (10/5): DO IT. Best place + host... EVER🫶 - Wow. Exceptional location. Elsie (the host) went ABOVE and beyond to cater to me. From chocolates on my bed, wine, fresh flowers, candles by the spa... when you stay here you notice all the little things left in the room for her guests. She is AMAZING the place is amazing and actually probably the COMFIEST bed I've ever slept in, in ANY hotel/resort (I travel ALOT btw!😉) I even left my jacket behind which she so kindly sent express and refused payment from me. She is super sweet I wish this level of care and consideration came with every place I stay/ed. Thank you Elsie!! ZILCH. EVERYTHING was great😊

• Stephen (10/5): Absolutely fantastic. - Our room was perfect. Nice and clean and warm. We had everything we could possibly need, along with complementary snacks, cereal and fruit.
• Roderick (10/5): - We were greeted by our friendly host who showed us the beautiful studio and gave us info on the area. The studio is ground floor and only the road separates you from the beach and sea with a view out to Kapiti Island. The kitchenette contains everything you need for a wonderful stay at this gem of a place. We have no complaints and highly recommend it.
• Efrat (10/5): - The main photo does a disservice to the place - the sea is only 20 meters away, and you see it from the window. I loved my stay and my hosts - a modern, comfortable, and beautiful room that comes with really nice touches of candies and great conversations. the only downside is the soundproofing from the main house, but I did get used to it and would definitely come back!

The breakfast with variety of cereal and fruit and coffees and teas was awesome. Snacks were abundant! We slept like babies as it was so peaceful and quiet. You won’t want to miss this hidden jewel! overall +10 rating! We will be back!😊
